Regarding Big 4 ... I dont really get the sense of the paragraphs. The title says "How to always catch a scamer" but none of the points helps to catch someone who scamed you, they just say that you should secure the evidence?

Plain common phishing attack, I receive about 3-5 emails at my spam account daily, targetting various accounts like banking, dropbox and amazon.
You did the right thing and check the URL, its the only chance to see if its a scam or not!

Hier ein paar Statements zum Coin: Keith Wareing [NO2ETF]: Pre-ICO was Jan and eth was average $1300. Current price is $179 so it’s 7 x down. Take 0.70 divided by 7 you have a 0.10 token. Someone listed loads of 5c sales on opening to dump fast and people followed suit, sheep mentality by the looks of it. But this leaves a massive buying opportunity. $300k marketcap on a project that aims to tackle Kickstarter and Indigogo??
Kickstarter did $3.5bn in 2017 Indigogo did $1.5bn in 2017 and they typically pick up the knockbacked projects from Kickstarter (and they have a 40% market share)
Imagine that since Acorn will be onboarding crowdsales from more countries that aren’t possible with traditional banking thanks to borderless crypto payments, it’s not unreasonable to expect they could get a 25% marketshare.
That’s potentially 1.25bn in crowdfunding a year. And since all the funding is done on oak, the daily volume would by 1.25bn / 365 = $3.42m daily volume
That’s the same daily volume as Tezos which is ranked 18 on cmc with a 667m marketcap.
Whilst this is highly speculative, I’d say oak is a massively undervalued gem, and once you have satisfied yourself that the project is real (which I have, my brother has physically been to their offices) you’d be mad not to load up on this.
Even if it hit 20c which is still only a small marketcap of $3m it’s a 10x from today’s price.
100% UNDERVALUED GEM

So I think the most important part in promoting an ICO has to be doing something with high quality content.. If only the bounty managers can take a closer look at posts quality, then it'll do the forum a whole lot of good, post doesn't have to be the best in the world, but something meaningful/readable.
If ve seen a lot of signature campaigns in the last weeks where the bounty manager took a close look at the quality of the posts and even refused to count them towards the posts/week target if the posts were not good enough or plain spam. Some of them even refused to count posts in spam topics like "What is bitcoin" with hundreds of answers. I think thats the right direction. Bounty hunters have to stop to post meaningless oneliners and post simply to raise their post count, but its a lot of work for the bounty managers to go through the posts in detail.

Indeed, you have to be very careful if you accept ALTs as collateral. The name of the token ("UBQ", "ANN", ...) can be faked easily, what can't be faked is the address of the contract issuing the tokens.
If you accept only well known tokens you can check the contract of the received tokens if it matches the contract of the original token (which can be found eg. at coinmarketcap).

Could you eventually name one or two projects you are referring to? Vaultitude eg. did exactly the opposite, they reduced the token supply to 1/10 during the payout phase.

![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Good job bro, I'm also trying to figure out what I can do, hoping to get something from you soon ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) No offense but I dont think that you understood what he was trying to say. Just take a look at your posting history and think about how many people may have helped your postings.

I would stick to the best practice that an address should only be used once. If you always use the same address its very easy to track you and may even lead to showing your wealth to the public ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

I have observed and seen the lamentation of most newbies who have being ban from the forum due to uncompliance to strictly adhered rules on the forum.
I wouldnt call it "Uncompliance", I would call it spamming, begging for merit etc. Most of the bans I saw lately are because of such a behaviour, a simple FAQ study would have helped to prevent this.

This exception isnt anything special to yiimp. You do some multiplications, the resulting number is too high to fit in a BIGINT datatype. What do you want to achieve with this statement?

This guide is very detailed, but maybe scammers will be interested in it now. Forget ICO, now ico is almost synonymous with scam, it has been eliminated, there will be a better model to replace it,such as STO.
Well, I dont think that an ICO is a synonym for scam, you just have to pick the right projects and dont fall for promises. But I think that the golden age of ICOs is definitly over.

Try the Altcoin Announcement-Board ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0). I am sure, your ICO-announcements fits there. But this board gets spammed a lot, so your topic may go to the second page in a matter of minutes!
