Find something you are good at and dont just come into meta and try to copy what others has done
You mean like creating meaningless lists about the merit system in broken English?  Yeah, that's been done to death.  They're all merit-grabbing attempts--and I had OP on ignore already, so he's not likely to ever get any from me.

This is merit begging in my opinion and I guess OP is really fortunate there.
Yeah, that's exactly what that was, and it's what he's trying to do with this thread as well.  I'm not sure if he can improve his posts, but he might have more luck in the local boards.  English is not his thing.

please try to use Search feature to find available topics on things you have intention to create your own topics is the first step to make constructive topics:
<snip>
You're either not seeing through his act or you're just posting for your own personal gain.  There's no doubt in my mind OP knows these same threads exist, but he's just hoping someone will give him some merits for this one.  One thing he obviously hasn't realized is that when low-ranked members who can barely write coherent sentences start threads in Meta about merits, they don't usually get them.  It's a waste of time.
7042  Other / Meta / Re: Complete overview of users on DT1 and DT2 and their ratings on: May 06, 2019, 02:55:29 PM
Wow, I don't even recognize most of those DT2 members, and I don't think I'd ever seen a list of them since all the new DT1 members were added.  Here's hoping they're actually trustworthy, realize the responsibility that being on DT entails, and leave feedback responsibly.   They can obviously be voted off DT2 if there's a good reason, but with that many members it could be a pain in the ass keeping tabs on how their DT "performance" is.

Thanks for the excellent compilation as always, LoyceV.

We're now approaching that many in DT1. Inflation.
Yep, there are definitely a lot but the list doesn't look too bad to me.  At least there aren't any members that caught my attention as possible problems--but time will tell.
7043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to make money from staking? on: May 06, 2019, 12:42:16 PM
As stated in previous post, you'll not earn money directly with staking. Staking is like mining, without need to have expensive hw. As with mining you'll get additional coins which you stake. The difference from mining is that you actually need some (more the better) initial coins you would like to stake (some kind of "seed"). The % interest depending on coin, they can vary from 5% to 30%, that is for coins i stake. I believe there are coins that have bigger % out there.
Excellent answer in a thread full of shitposts--I'll probably give you a couple merits for this post even though your account hasn't been active since 2018.

I've been staking PIVX for just over a month now, and I've so far earned 4 PIVX.  Not too bad, except that the price of PIVX is really low right now and most exchanges have suspended trading because of some wallet issues.  It's a pain in the ass that I have to leave my computer on 24/7, but I'm having fun experimenting with a PoS that's earning me a little bit of interest.  My plan is to set up my PIVX Stakebox that I bought a couple days ago.  I don't have it running yet since I don't have an internet connection through an ethernet port, and I don't think my local wi-fi signal is strong enough for the Stakebox receiver.  When I actually get internet service from my local provider, I can leave the Stakebox on 24/7 and just forget about it.  For those who don't know, it's basically a Raspberry Pi with a staking PIVX wallet installed.  Pretty cool device.

Even better is NEO, another coin I've fooled around with recently.  It's much better than staking PIVX because you don't have to have the wallet open all the time, and you can claim your GAS every 5 minutes.  I'll probably be buying a lot more NEO in the upcoming weeks.  The price has tanked, and I see it as a great buying opportunity.
7044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: buy NEO coins now? on: May 06, 2019, 11:57:26 AM
I've just recently started to get interested in stakeable altcoins, as I love the idea of earning compound interest (i.e., passive income) from crypto.  NEO is one of the few coins that caught my eye.  The Neon wallet is one of the best-looking wallets I've seen, hands down, and the ability to claim GAS every 5 minutes is something that appeals to my need for instant gratification.  I've bought some NEO in the past few days and plan to accumulate more while the price is still pretty low.

Now as far as this:

I think most of the existing coins now are subject to pump once the market decides to be stable.

I don't know whether I agree with that or not.  Bitcoin right now is on fire, but a lot of altcoins are taking a beating.  Seems like all the money that people had in altcoins is now being funneled into bitcoin and altcoins are crashing as a result.  I have faith that they'll bounce back, though.  The market has been through this same scenario many times before.
7045  Other / Meta / Re: @theymos is it true that you forced OG to remove Laudas tagg ? on: May 06, 2019, 11:35:39 AM
It would have helped if Thule linked references in their post. I would assume this is related to this here in the back and forth between VOD and OG.
Yep, it would definitely help--but you can't expect Thule to do anything except spread a rumor with no evidence to back it up.  There's nothing in that link which suggests Theymos got involved, and I wouldn't expect him to.  It would actually be quite a shocker if he did do something like that after all the drama Lauda has been the center of, with no intervention except for removing Lauda from his/her moderator position.

Trust isn't moderated, and I don't think Theymos has ever stepped in to resolve a feud like this.  Hopefully he never will.

Thule is now going on ignore, joining cryptohunter and his most recent alt (the-one-below-all or whatever it is).  I'm tired of this constant nonsense.
7046  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to receive your salary in Bitcoin? on: May 06, 2019, 02:18:21 AM
Because I want my income to stay as much away from banks as possible. My goal is to avoid taxation, which in my country is absurdly abusive.
I feel your pain, but yikes!  Be careful with what you're doing, because government tax agencies are not stupid and they have ways of sniffing out tax evaders.

I have a question: do you make a lot of money just from Youtube videos?  I'm not asking for a specific figure, but is it enough to live on?  The idea of earning a living from making videos has long fascinated me, though I have no video-making talent and wouldn't have much to talk about which would draw a lot of views anyway.

And though I don't have any suggestions for you about getting paid in bitcoin, I would be careful about the volatility risk.  That's the reason why I'd never want to get my paycheck in bitcoin unless I could instantly convert it to fiat--and if I could do that, there would be no point in a bitcoin paycheck anyway.  On the other hand, it might not be that big a problem for you if you factor in the tax "savings".  So good luck in your quest, and screw the tax man.
7047  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Exchanging Bitcoin-Paypal & Paypal-Bitcoin on: May 05, 2019, 09:58:25 PM
Hi bil gator, I'm looking to buy $50 worth of bitcoins, and I have PayPal ready to be sent as F&F if you're interested.

I know we chatted via PM a while back, but I could have sworn I did a deal with you a while back--but I just checked my trust page and it doesn't look like we did.  In any case, it doesn't matter to me who sends first.  I'd be more than willing to send PP funds to you first, since you'd be bearing most of the risk on a PP deal anyway.  I'd like to do 1:1 preev if possible, but I'm open to negotiation.  Thanks.
7048  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: May 05, 2019, 01:33:42 PM
I have benefited the forum for so many years, and they ruined my account just for a couple of days. All that honestly earned, now no one appreciates ....
I checked your trust page, and it isn't exactly filled with years of positive feedback.  In fact all the trusted feedback is negative, with the exception of a neutral from Ecuamobi which he was probably being kind with by not making it a neg.  You have 4 untrusted positives, all from this year and one untrusted negative.  So what's this about "all that honestly earned"?

You had ample warning not to ask for loans without collateral, so your outrage over the tags you received is misplaced.  You should have anticipated that you'd get tagged by DT members.

Or this attitude to me that I live in Russia ... I do not know ...
No, it isn't that.  It's the shady loan requests.

Also, your account isn't ruined.  You can still help people here all you want.  Just because you're red-trusted doesn't mean that people aren't going to listen to what you have to say if you give them some technical advice or whatever.  You just might not be able to get loans very easily.
7049  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is urgent. Argentina is printing free money too on: May 05, 2019, 01:04:58 PM
If USA wants it, it can create millions of dollars with a very simple decision to make money.
You're off by several orders of magnitude, I think.  The amount of "free money" that gets created is staggering, and there doesn't seem to be any end in sight--or a solution.  The effects of quantitative easing combined with low interest rates have been great in the short term--the stock market certainly isn't complaining--but these economic crutches are going to break eventually.

Why wouldn't Argentina (or any other country for that matter) want to get in on the game?  They see what the US has done and what results they've gotten.  The problem is that the day of reckoning may well be something that their grand- or great-grandchildren are going to have to deal with.  That isn't fair to future generations, but that isn't something politicians seem to care about.
7050  Economy / Reputation / Re: Merit abuse of DayTrader27 and krack-r on: May 05, 2019, 11:44:01 AM
I am quite sure DayTrader27 is new account of krack-r. But we will see, sooner or later it will come out. Smiley
That may or may not be true, but if I were you I wouldn't bother looking at merit transactions like this too closely unless there's other evidence available.  For one thing, moderators aren't going to do anything about merit abuse and they don't care if someone has alt accounts, even if those accounts are abusing bounties or even scamming.  Secondly, even DT members aren't tagging merit abusers unless there's very clear proof and only if the abuse is blatant--and even then, they may not tag someone just for merit abuse.

Don't start threads about fishy merit transactions, that's my advice.  If you compile enough proof that accounts are linked and that those accounts are engaged in some wrongdoing aside from merit issues, then feel free to make a thread in either Reputation or Scam Accusation.  Good effort in trying to help the forum, though.
7051  Other / Meta / Re: This altcoin is trying to trade merits ? Will theymos allow this ? on: May 04, 2019, 08:39:29 PM
The OP is a bit confusing, but I'm not sure they are offering to sell merits.
Agree--I'm a bit confused, but from what I can understand they're not selling merits but awarding tokens based on how many merits you earn on bitcointalk.  There's a big difference in my opinion.  There would be really no incentive to obtain merits illicitly (like buying them) in order to receive tokens, unless the price of the token shot up in value.  Even then, that would probably drive up the cost of buying merits in response.

While I don't think there's anything shady about the cBux offering (though I did NOT read the entire ANN post), this is just another project that's likely doomed to failure.  There are so many projects, so many tokens and coins, and there's only so much interest and money that can go into all of them.  cBux doesn't really strike me as a breakthrough idea, and it probably won't keep anyone's attention for long.
7052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on with PIVX and exchanges? on: May 04, 2019, 07:41:26 PM
PIVX price fell by 50% relative to Bitcoin. It's just terrible, I keep it on and do not even know what to do. But it's really too late to sell PIVX ((
Not for nothing, but if you're looking to sell a little bit of PIVX, please see my thread in the altcoin marketplace section.  PM me if you're interested.

I'm not too concerned about its price, though I definitely don't want it to crash.  I'm more interested in experimenting with staking it, and I've had two "payouts" in this past month--better than what I was expecting, actually.  What worried me when I saw PIVX suspended on all of these exchanges was that I'd have nowhere to sell it if it came to that.  I'm glad it seems to be a technical issue and not that it's being delisted.
7053  Economy / Reputation / Re: Abuse of Trust Power - did you make it for this Theymos? on: May 04, 2019, 05:32:42 PM
I think, its better from now on, only hero and legend had the ability to give trust.
That's a horrible idea, and Theymos would never go for it anyway.

OP, those negs you got are not from DT members as far as I know--they're all showing up as untrusted feedback--so it's not like your reputation has been damaged.  And for what it's worth, I don't think the recent Yobit campaign participants should have been tagged despite all the controversy around whether Yobit is truly a scam exchange or not.  There isn't anything you can do about it, though.  Most members receive BS feedback at some point, and nobody besides the person who left it is in any position to remove it.

That's how the trust system works.  It's far from perfect, but it's not the end of the world if you get negged by a member who isn't on DT.
7054  Other / Meta / Re: The new DT system, updated 04 APR 2019 on: May 04, 2019, 04:50:12 PM
we cant have everybody on the forum being DT.
Ehhh....I don't think the number of DT1 members right now is that bad, and by the looks of it there isn't anyone in it that raise red flags in my mind.  It's the number of DT2 members that concerns me, and DT1's need to really keep solid trust lists so as not to give power to members who might abuse it (or who don't deserve it).

And as I mentioned in another thread, there should be a merit and not-inactive requirement for DT2, same as there is for DT1.
Sounds like a good idea to me.
7055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on with PIVX and exchanges? on: May 04, 2019, 02:11:56 PM
I do not use this coin, but looked in their official public on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/pivx/comments/bk10m3/pivx_disabled_on_exchangea/
Promised soon to rectify the situation.
Ah, that helps.  I honestly didn't think about doing a web search for the problem, because every time I've searched for info on PIVX I just get a bunch of results from coinmarketcap and similar sites, which isn't helpful to me.  Not a huge fan of Reddit (and that's putting it kindly), but it figures the answer to my question would be there.  I even checked the PIVX discussion forum and didn't see anything.

Thanks for the reply.

If exchanges still sells this coin till yet, then you should know that maybe the wallet is in a kind of maintenance
Yeah, I guess I got spooked.  I mean, if you own a coin and suddenly you can no longer trade it on an exchange then you're holding a bunch of worthless digital junk.
7056  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Newbie selling green trust legendary account on: May 04, 2019, 01:56:59 PM
Any newbie can browse the forum's accounts until he finds one he would like to "sell," take a screenshot of it, modify hit to his liking, and pretend that he has a high-ranking account for sale.
That's possible, and it's one of the reasons why I didn't tag the account in question.  There have been instances in the past where someone was selling an account and it was identified because the seller disclosed too many details about it, but in this case I don't feel confident enough that it's the right account to tag it.  I'm not saying it's not the right one, just that it hasn't been proven beyond all reasonable doubt in my mind.
7057  Other / Meta / Re: Add more restrictions/rules to DT2 list - suggestion. on: May 04, 2019, 01:40:24 PM
The best thing to do right now is use the ~ for exclusions.
That was my first thought.  I'm not sure Theymos needs to roll out any new rules about DT behavior/inclusions/whatever.  When a DT2 member is discovered to have some questionable feedbacks left or they're otherwise not worthy to be on the list, that's something DT1 members can take care of themselves--and it's happened before already.

As the number of members in all levels of DT combined increases, there are going to be some that don't belong on the list.  I just don't think we need more rules when the community can take care of the problem itself.
7058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What's going on with PIVX and exchanges? on: May 04, 2019, 02:48:53 AM
Hey guys.  I've been looking to purchase some PIVX lately, as I've been staking it for a couple of months and just want to add to what I have.

Since no one here responded to my thread, I started looking to buy PIVX on various exchanges--and I don't use too many.  Here's the problem:

Binance sells it, but their PIVX wallet is suspended.  No deposits or withdrawals happening.

Yobit's PIVX wallet is also down for maintenance and has been for at least a week.

UPBit (an exchange I'd never heard of) sells PIVX, but their wallet is also down for maintenance.

My question is whether there's something going on with the coin that I'm not aware of, or if this is a major coincidence that all of these exchanges' PIVX wallets are down for maintenance.  I don't even know what that term means, but whatever.  Anyone heard anything?
7059  Economy / Reputation / Re: Nitrogensports.eu dodging questions regarding their operation on: May 04, 2019, 12:00:33 AM
They are just shady and dodgy about simple jurisdictional questions; which don't really affect them.
Yeah, and that to me is a huge red flag.  Why would they be evasive about a simple question of corporate residency when asked by one of their customers?  It makes no sense to me and raises a lot of questions in my mind.

Yeah, welcome to crypto gambling lol.
Yeah, it's crazy.  If you thought the wild west days of crypto were over, think again.  It amazes me that some fly-by-night casinos and exchanges (like Yobit) still conduct business without regulators shutting them down.  I'm not saying Nitrogensports is in that category, but their canned responses to a very simple inquiry here don't instill a lot of confidence in me that they're conducting business by the book.
7060  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How did you get scammed? on: May 03, 2019, 11:52:38 PM
Even the most skeptical, distrustful members among us have probably gotten scammed at one point.

I got scammed in 2016 when I dabbled in the lending business (never again).  TimSweat had light green trust and was a Sr. Member, so I figured I'd be alright giving him a loan of 0.3BTC with no collateral--and that wasn't a huge amount of money back in 2016.  And wouldn't you know it, the repayment date came and went and I got a bunch of excuses from him, and he finally stopped communicating.  So that's the one and only time I got burned on the forum.

From that episode, I learned a couple of things.  First, you can't rely on a person's trust score exclusively (which is what I did) when deciding whether you trust the person.  Accounts with green trust and high ranks can be bought easily, which is one of the reasons why I'm absolutely against account sales.  The second thing I learned is that you have to get collateral if you lend money.  And the third thing is that lending crypto just isn't worth the hassle, at least not for me.
