7041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you agree to insure your participation in the bounty company? on: August 21, 2020, 10:20:30 PM
[.. snip ..]

Your scenario doesn't apply in crypto though, so your argument is wrong in the beginning, specially your point #1. I'm sure you know that crypto is decentralised, so there's no central authority. Your point #2 is also invalid, project do ICO to raised money, they don't have hard currency obviously that's why they are offering tokens, but there is a catch, it's either it could have value or not. And that is why bounty hunting is at risk, it's either you win or you lose.
7042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Whyte vs Povetkin on: August 21, 2020, 09:28:11 PM
Biggest fight in Heavyweight in this pandemic era:

Dillian Whyte vs Alexander Povetkin
Aug 23

They will be fighting for the WBC Interim Heavyweight World Title which Whyte held.

I don't see this as the biggest fight of the year Whyte has clear advantages on this fight he has power speed and aggressiveness and Povetkin only has experienced to rely on this fight, Povetkin last fight against Hunter is not good he is very slow that was not supposed to be a draw Hunter is winning the fight, although this fight is a good tune up for Whyte for the winner of Fury - Wilder match.

If Fury-Wilder fight push through this year, then obviously, it will be the biggest fight. But currently, it has been rescheduled but no clear date as of yet. But with Whyte vs Povetkin, clearly this is the biggest fight in this pandemic. Both are rank boxers, Povetkin #9 and Whyte holding the belt.

Very weird that a competitor would take this into public, A Statement on two discovered vulnerabilities in Wasabi Wallet.
7044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you agree to insure your participation in the bounty company? on: August 20, 2020, 10:20:13 PM
Nah, that's too far fetch though in my opinion. I think the best way to handle this is let the bounty manager escrow the funds or the tokens for his campaign so that the bounty hunters are going to be paid in the end. Why would you have to pay a fee then when you they can just escrow it? Doesn't makes any sense to shell out money in the first place. Your job is to promote as bounty hunters and getting paid in the end.

Watch the full final presser here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APIzqKbP7H4

@YuginKadoya - You are right, the winner will be the mandatory for Fury's belt. But pending his fight with Wilder, so we will see how it goes. But in any case, I wanted to see Joshua vs Whyte II though, there's some kind of animosity between the two.  Grin
7046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Junior [PPV on Nov. 28] on: August 20, 2020, 03:34:57 PM
Seems that the discussion is going circles, however, there are some updates.

Roy Jones Angered Over Delay in Mike Tyson Fight, Threatens Withdrawal

Quote
"I’ve had to cancel other stuff to be out here, it’s upset my calendar, I’ve got to change things. That’s why we have to table bullsh-t now. That’s the biggest issue, I’m not a full time boxer anymore so I do other things to make an income. If I can’t do other things then I should be compensated for that, because it changes the schematics. It’s not acceptable," Jones told Daily Mail.

https://www.boxingscene.com/roy-jones-angered-over-delay-mike-tyson-fight-threatens-withdrawal--151046

Hmm, so Jones are threatening to pull out if he is not compensated for the days he lost because it has been rescheduled. What do you think if Jones pull the plug out of this one? Are we going to see the much awaited Tyson-Holyfield then?
7047  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading bot developer startup showing promising signs (?) on: August 20, 2020, 02:51:09 PM
Nope, haven't tried this bot and I'm not going to click on that link either. Bots though are really helpful, that is if you know how to used them, like setting the correct paramaters etc. Because if you don't then bots are not going to make you money when you sleep. Bots are there to automate things, but it still requires human intervention in order to make them work So if you don't have the experience to trade manually, then bots won't be of help to you.

I monitor it here:

And this has been flagged like 6 days ago:

https://github.com/409H/EtherAddressLookup/commit/86113d5e00cfec4188a9caa623cd1b7481f791a7

But as you can see that phishing website is like almost a month now. So 'we' somewhat late in identifying it but I try to give the community a warning as much as I can.

Some of the websites being caught are being taken offline very quick or at least we can see a "Deceptive Site Warning" when we visited it. So I filter out those websites that are still up and somewhat need some help from the community to report it to either Google or the Domain Registrar itself.  Grin

I haven't heard of Binance "The Bulletproof Exchanger Project". But everyone can check it out here,

https://www.binance.com/en/blog/421499824684900882/The-Bulletproof-Exchanger-Project-How-Binance-Helped-Take-Down-a-Cybercriminal-Group-Laundering-$42M

It's so easy to maintain 20 crypto exchanges if it looks like this:

So it seems that Binance is doing some sniffing as well to identify these so called Bulletproof Exchangers and with the collaboration of TRM Labs, a blockchain analysis company was able to identify and track the criminal networks and with the help of local authorities, in this case Ukrainian police was able to take this criminal syndicate.
7053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Whyte vs Povetkin on: August 19, 2020, 01:31:07 PM
@bisdak40 - yes it's interesting to see the odds for Whyte by decision.

But I don't see it going to distance though, Povetkin lacks the stamina to go for full 12 rounds, in my opinion. He is already way past his prime and could get into serious trouble if Dillian could hit that left hook on him early. That's why it's either a knock out or technical knock out.

Yes, both of them face AJ before, but Povetkin has some early success even putting AJ on trouble early by breaking his nose.

I don't think that changing of coach will affect Whyte, and it seems they have settled cordially.

7055  Other / Beginners & Help / [Reminder]: Read the ToS of a exchange site first before registering on: August 18, 2020, 11:04:54 PM
Don't be this guy,

https://twitter.com/ilcreations/status/1295050067573907457

The story goes that he registered from an block country based on HitBTC's but the exchange allowed him to deposit first and then when he is about to withdraw, HitBTC throw the argument of residency:

Quote
g. will not use our Services or will immediately cease using those if you are a resident or become a resident at any time of the state or region (in accordance with such state or region definition of residency), where the crypto assets transactions you are going to execute are prohibited or require special approval, permit and/or authorization of any kind, which HitBTC has not obtained in this state or region. Notwithstanding the above, you are not in any case allowed to access and use our Services if you are located, incorporated or otherwise established, or a citizen or resident of:
(i) the United States of America;

(ii) North Korea,
(iii) Sudan,
(iv) Crimea and Sevastopol;
(v) Cuba,
(vi) Syria, or
(vii) any state, country or other jurisdiction that is embargoed by the United States of America,

https://hitbtc.com/terms-of-use

The question is, how did they allowed him to register and then make a deposit on the first place?Looks to me very shady, the guy is located in the States.

Although we all know that HitBTC is a scam site and has many accusations in this community way back 2017. But still there might be newbies that are going to fall for this trick. So I advise them to read the ToS first very carefully as you might be the next victim.

I think Whyte has the all the advantage here and I wouldn't be surprise to see a knock out with his left hook. Povetkin is already 40 years old in his twilight of his career. He also doesn't look good at this last fight and I would say that this could be his last hurray.

7058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Crypto be more valuable than gold? on: August 16, 2020, 09:13:31 PM
I have thought that one key advantage crypto (bitcoin, litecoin, Dash, monero etc.) has over gold is that its supply level is fixed and transparent, but can this or features make crypto more valuable than gold?

Let's see how big is gold right now, 18 trillion global market cap and counting, while all of crypto is around  $374 billion, so you do the math. However, crypto has so many advantages over gold that some traditional investors are already moving some of their funds to crypto, specially bitcoin. Fixed and transparent but limited supply, which makes the price goes higher as time goes by.
7059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Marathon $23 Million Contract with Bitmain to Purchase 10,500 S-19 Pro Miners on: August 16, 2020, 02:41:33 PM
Another bullish sign?

It's not that only big companies like Grayscale and MicroStrategy are buying or investing in bitcoin. But there seems to be a trend as well, getting into bitcoin mining. As Marathon Patent Group (MARA), became  one of the first Nasdaq-listed Cryptocurrency mining company announces a $23 Million Contract with Bitmain to Purchase 10,500 S-19 Pro Miners.

Quote
Marathon Patent Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:MARA) ("Marathon" or "Company"), a Nasdaq-listed cryptocurrency mining company, today announced that it has entered into a Long Term Purchase Contract with Bitmain for the purchase of 10,500 next generation Antminer S-19 Pro ASIC Miners.

Marathon’s Chief Executive Officer, Merrick Okamoto, stated, “The execution of this contract with Bitmain represents a milestone event for our company. This investment is expected to result in Marathon being one of, if not the largest, Bitcoin miner in North America.”

Okamoto continued, “Today’s news comes on the heels of recent incremental business growth through the purchase of what now is expected to total 13,520 next generation miners generating 1.55 Exahash upon full installation. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Bitmain for working with us on this Long Term Purchase Contract, which locks in the purchase price, a substantial discount from the current retail price, and greatly reduces the risk of price increases to the Company and potential shortage of Miner availability in the future.”

"We are pleased to have provided Marathon with Bitmain’s latest generation of Antminer S19 Pro mining hardware. Equipped with the most advanced chipset currently available, the high-performance and low power consumption of the miners will significantly improve operations of Marathon's mining business. This collaboration continues to strengthen our cooperation and will extend to future work together as Marathon expands its presence in the mining industry,” said Irene Gao, Antminer Sales Director of NCSA Region, Bitmain.

Additionally, 1,360 Miners were delivered to our Hosting Facility today, and the Company anticipates that all of these Miners will be deployed this weekend and added to our current 700 Miners presently in operation, bringing our currently installed Miners to 2,060 which will produce 184.6 PH/s. Bitmain will also deliver 500 previously purchased S-19 Pro Miners in September and 500 in November. After the installations this weekend go operational next week, the Company’s yields are expected to generate prospective positive net cash flow, based on the current price of Bitcoin and Hashrate difficulty.

Google never filter scam or phishing site unless there is no report. When you are going to do a financial deal then we have to be more careful. Why should we depend on Google ads? If you are using a site then bookmark it if you can't remember the site address. We are using smartphones and computers, so we should improve yourself as a smart guy as well. Scammer gets success due to our stupidity. Everyone knows about the most of scam methods, but likely we just ignore to learn.

Yes, to be honest, it seems that Google just readily accepts ads, and those scammers are known to hide and cloak those phishing sites. I also created thread about a fake [Scam]: Fake Uniswap wallet.
