The start of this year is kinda tragic. Many events occurred already and this latest one is the most sadden event especially for all those guys who are active here. Kobe is indeed one of the best NBA player this generation.

I am still in shocked and can't comprehend that this is sudden death of Kobe is true. Every players on NBA already coming out and stating their what they feel about this tragic incident. My guess is this will be a long trending talk abouts and will take time to pass by. Hays! REST in PEACE blackmamba we will miss you.

7064  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Become an Owner of 1 BTC - Only the brave and courageous wins! on: January 26, 2020, 02:56:50 PM
I did own some btc and all of it came here from my previous works here in forum that paid btc and altcoins. I dont stuck altcoins from campaign and directly convert it into btc to be safe. I have a decent job but never I invest it on cryptocurrency as my salary purpose is for my own personal and family expenses.

Owning 1 btc is not easy to reach but with just a little push, effort and willingness I know we can earn it. I'm almost near it so I expect this campaign Ive joined to works out well. Crossfinger! Nice explanation there @Lucius. Probably you already earned your first 1btc long time ago.  Grin
7065  Local / Pilipinas / Re: IMF Urges Philippines’ Central Bank to Collect Crypto Exchange Data on: January 26, 2020, 02:40:35 PM
Will crypto exchanges release those information of trading of each users? I think that is a breached of privacy on the part of the traders. I know the IMF objective is to reduce scams but this info is very private for any users which could result to leak of information. Especially this information is sensitve we dont know if someone on the Central Bank or aka BSP have some hidden agenda.

I guess for now we should wait for a certain draft regarding the process of this, and give crypto community a public explanation on how this "suggestion works" and see if both parties will benefit and will be good for crypto business here in the Philippines.

7067  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Poll - How did you find out about Bitcointalk? on: January 26, 2020, 05:29:34 AM
Using search engine Google, I still remember it since Ive joined during Halloween date. My friend told me that If I was looking for a good ways to ear is join that forum. He said a lots of giveaway called airdrop has been shared.

First, I really dont have any clue but the keyword bitcointalk.org already give me hint about cryptocurrency. I already have knowledge before I register but still not enough. At first, I am very fond of looking for those money makers. Never noticed a lot of boards aside from the Altcoin Bounty Section. But Ive noticed that as time pass by I become focus only to these kind of activity. Just recently I started to begin my goal to learn and somehow I realize that there is much to know and that rewards I ripping was just a bonus to the knowledge I acquired by participating on discussion. So I'm thankful up to now that I am here and continuously learning and giving also some of what I learnt so far.

As you open the wallet for bitcoin you can see that they are associated with tether(USDT with omni blockchain) while uf you use the ether blockchain the associated USDT there is the one which recently transfer as erc20 token.

7073  Other / Meta / Re: Is this an error or forum really accept this kind of scenario. on: January 25, 2020, 11:48:16 AM
I can see that second post has been trashed already. Thanks for our moderator. Thanks Welsh for clarification it seems this kind of incident is rare but good that we've seen this kind of bug. Gotta admit this would take time to implement if theymos will code for this sort of problem. Maybe in the future if the process is necessary already. I will locked the thread now.
7074  Other / Meta / Re: Is this an error or forum really accept this kind of scenario. on: January 25, 2020, 07:09:06 AM
AFAIK, the forum doesn't have a preventive feature to disallow double postings. Maybe PM the OP to delete the other one or just report it to the mods and they'll handle the duplicate post.

I see, maybe theymos need to fix this and not to allow double posting IMO to avoid same post lurking in some section if this incident occur again.

I will say it bug if the forum displaying 2 same topic but the real / record posted 1 only.

I already reported to mods as dual post.

Just check his profile and the post still double so it's not recorded as 1 post only. So it's not a bug but really a dual topic posted.
7075  Other / Meta / Is this an error or forum really accept this kind of scenario. on: January 25, 2020, 06:35:25 AM
Take notice of the title "A "Back Door" to Liberate Bitcoin"

I just wonder when I browse the altcoin discussion section there are two post which is exactly the same (topic and title). I know that if you already post a topic or certain response the forum will prompt you that you already posted it. But why this post still reflecting on this?Altcoin Discussion

First post
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5220555.0

Second post
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5220556.0

There is a gap of post of 25mins. I'm thinking the user have some sort of internet connection error and thought that his post wasn't posted yet. But the forum still accept it? Is this normal to have duplicate post or something needed a fix?
7076  Other / Meta / Re: How to earn merit in 6 EASY steps! (2019-2020 Edition) on: January 25, 2020, 05:37:07 AM

If you really want to get tons of merit then show some numbers as much as possible: like infographs, stats, codes etc. etc. because such threads attracts merit givers the most Wink.

Maybe much better informative and simple explanation , direct to the point or idea, and features which cools to include and discuss in the forum. I am getting headache seeing lots of stats uploaded in meta section cause I'm rarely using those stats. Maybe for some it's helpful but for some users here who just wanted a clean discussion or grasp some knowledge about forum improvement is much nicer IMO.

They're usually earning a lot of Merit and to me it smells like members are starting to create these threads to hunt for easy merit.

I was shocked seeing my recent post here when I click your link. Are you referring to the post I made? First of all, when you feel the needed to post why stop as long as it is not a spam on that board. This is a forum (place for discussion) and it's in your discretion if his post is well presented and deserved one to get merits.

To be honest, this motivational, and achievement post isn't that bad as long as you can see what the poster doing and his previous work that is actually helpful. If it's sounded like a merit bait then it is.

like why does stating that you earned hundreds of merits deserves more merit? Like, it's good that people tell about their experience and show that ranking up is possible, but it doesn't take much effort to do so.

I have to say I'm one of those who posted it but not to brag mate, actually a lot doing this. But only few criticizing them for their post. It's not their fault to get merit for what they post. Also how can you blame those who merits this kind of post if they just appreciate what the poster said?

If theymos for example give you merits, wouldn't you be proud of it? Just a thought.
7080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons to be bullish on BitcoinSV on: January 25, 2020, 01:45:17 AM

Bitcoin SV is ready for what you want to build—the only limit is your imagination.

I think in hindsight BSV will be the obvious winner of the protocol wars.

This is the most professional shilling statement I heard this 2020 for BSV. That's funny the only limit is our imagination? So the BSV platform is almost near perfection? Come on! How much penny does you earn from promoting the BSV. Why only good stuff you posted here? How about the fact that Craig Wright failure to show the PK worth of bitcoins which he claim he had?

Original protocol than btc? Holy moly, can you show own whitepaper by BSV? All mentioned use case here are totally dope mate!
$BSV
- Government compliant
- Aims to work with existing establishments
- Closest protocol to the Original Bitcoin
- Scales
- Apps can be built on top of it
- Videos and images, on chain forever
- Actually utilized
- Works within law

Trust me the use case are thought to be useful not to be bragged and be proud of especially if its a pump and dump coin. See CMC, how is the price now, if whales leave this shitcoin, you will lose money.
