Well you along with Sojourner ( buwaytress(?) ) and Harkorede had the exact same points for now so yeah you will need to keep getting all those correct results prediction if you want to stay on top

Yeah, that's me:) I've been trying my luck requesting a username change on the forum to Sojourner (which is my name everywhere else usually) but I'll keep trying;)

Nice job Harko and swog. I never imagined myself top for 2 weeks too, I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts.

Toma, bag some wins with the freebet, yeah? I'll support the ban for you if you win again Wink

Welsh: wooden spoon's awesome.
7062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Visa purchases first NFT and crypto prices skyrocket. BTC passes $50k resistance on: August 24, 2021, 12:16:59 PM
Not so sure how you support the art scene by buying a digital piece of design that was the result of a randomisation of code -- okay, yes, now that I think of it that way, the code is art. But that's not really what they mean, is it?

All the same, I do feel that NFTs are a legitimate use case. Once we're past the punks hype, some of that might become clearer.

Caught a nice one today!

24 Aug: EFL Cup EPL teams (Everton, Leeds, Watford, Norwich, Newcastle, Villa) to win - 40/1
22 Aug: EPL All 10 matches to score in 1st half" - 24/1

Seems the soccer blackjack had hit twice over the weekend.
So good for you guys who took them both with the PSG one up for the maximum wagered amount at 4.99mbtc.
Here is the thread to follow up and know when the next one will be available to place a bet on:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5323501.0

Yeah, some kind of record. Friday win, Saturday win, Sunday bust. Funny thing is it's usually harder for me to bet on weekends but I made an effort for the Saturday one especially and am glad I did.

IIRC correctly, max bet when it started was 125 mbtc. Then it got hiked down to 5mbtc after the first blackjack hit, and then at some point it became 2mbtc. The PSG one was a real fluke suddenly raised to 4.99! Pays to use the Max Bet button sometimes;)

Funny thing, Leicester. And full credit to West Ham, even without Lingard, they've found a way to get the most out of their midfield to supply chances. Foxes were under strength but deserved to lose. Everything else won too, what a damned shame.

EFL cup and I like the looks of this Premier League wins special, whopping boosted odds.

100 units at Sportsbet on Norwich, Villa, Everton, Leeds, Watford, Newcastle to WIN @40.00. Other odds: 26.38
Units advantage: 1362

Add in 100 units at Sportsbet on Derby to win over miserable Sheffield @7.23. Other odds: 6.40
Units advantage: 83

Running advantage after 19 bets: +3262 (+1362+83)
All-time cumulative: +71,640
Running units after 17 bets (3W|14L): +2,077 (-100)

Whoever's backed Hammers should be smiling, which is the bookies and about 18 of you;) Leicester haven't got a single shot on goal and then Perez does the dirty on Fornals, can't argue against the sending off really. Going to be a long night for Brendan Rodgers if he can't claw his way back into this. Don't know what I was thinking, they did look suspect against Wolves heh.
7066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 23, 2021, 02:30:51 PM
^ I had a parlay that lost 2 out of 5 legs: Lyon and Juventus... and both were playing pretty bad teams, both of them even dropping points late, though I saw Ronaldo actually had a 94th min goal disallowed. Really tough as I'd otherwise at least get my bet back with SB free insurance.

Didn't expect to be top of this table so far, but I guess that's what I get for picking favourites.
7067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting bitcoin as payment for my business on: August 23, 2021, 01:28:25 PM
Like Lucius says, offer an alternative payment or help toolbox -- even regular merchants usually display options with cheaper fees. Might encourage them to try out something with lower fees if they saw an info tool tip that says "want cheaper fees?" click here. There are also lightning apps like Bitkassa that helps users pay easily on L2 (how difficult it is I don't know but they have a really good team to help out). I don't normally suggest things I don't even try out myself but there's an online community full of merchs using it and they seem pretty happy.

Don't forget to add your shop to sites like Coinmap! Visibility doesn't hurt =)
7068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: August 23, 2021, 12:15:35 PM
I said I'd try and record some of the big specials I took, and we had an "all games to score in 1st half" at 14/1. We actually had 8/9 games hit that but it was dead pretty early with the Palace scoreless draw. Still on the hunt for big ones! No less than 10x odds for me;)

22 Aug: EPL All 10 matches to score in 1st half" - 24/1
7069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 23, 2021, 08:53:00 AM
I think we will see these picture more often.
There situation is worse them I imagined.
Arsenal suffered from absences and injuries. Perhaps the team needs time, but the team's statistics are very negative and frightening, as he did not score in two games and received 4, the next few weeks may be the end of Arteta.

Really bad luck with the Covid isolations, IMO. I'm also not fully convinced by their new signings, though Arsenal could actually turn out to be the place for them to shine. I always felt they're suspect as a team -- there's very little in way of spine, something we mistakenly thought Arteta solved midway through last season.

I'm with Trofo about the kids though. I really, really like Saka, but I can sense he's not fully recovered from the EURO incident.
7070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +69698 units on: August 23, 2021, 06:42:13 AM
Well, that was that. I had hedged Arsenal in case the Liv-Utd-Chelski acca didn't hit but did NOT at all expect Southampton to be able to extract those points from United. What a way to go in the end, though!

I'm going to ignore my best side and go for a 5-leg boosted.

100 units at Sportsbet on Leicester, Sevilla, Milan, Nordsjaelland and AL Salt to WIN @40.32. Other odds: 37.15
Units advantage: 317

Running advantage after 17 bets: +1817 (+317)
All-time cumulative: +70,195
Running units after 16 bets (3W|13L): +2,177 (-300)
7071  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin @ $50k on: August 23, 2021, 04:41:27 AM
Really looks like 50k could be the marker for the rally everyone's waiting for but I personally think the ATH will be the catalyst; we're going to be oscillating like the last 4 weeks in higher ranges until 60k.
That drawback is almost always a sign that someone is bubbling up something and I believe that we are definitely going to end up with something big in the near future. I can't say it with confidence like you have that it will be going up, I do believe that it is definitely that but I can't tell that to others yet because I do not trust my gut enough to try to convince other people about it as well.

However the big movement part is definitely true, that is almost always true on bitcoin that something slowly and gradually happens and then BAM! suddenly you get it. I believe that it could be down or up (probably up) and the price will be like 50% changes suddenly. That is why I believe making moves right now is not a bad idea, it is up right now and people are afraid to get in when it is already up and they are very right, but this could be a rare case going up even after another up.

So here we are finally at 50k again, and so soon after seemingly losing grip on yet another weekly high. The higher high trend on the entire stretch of weekend days played out once more. Not sure who to credit more: Friday bulls or the Monday Asian buyers taking over.

I rarely, rarely dare to back my predictions with confidence, but I'm a little bit of a Sunday gambler, so let's call this my occasional bet on Bitcoin markets. Getting in now for those 50% moves won't be a bad call anyway; worst case scenario is we don't get a new ATH, and then we resume a long bear cycle. Enforced savings until next halving;)
7072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🎰 Sportsbet.io 🎰 "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: August 22, 2021, 06:19:35 PM
Can we make it 3 in a row?  Cheesy

3 wins/bust in a row it is haha. Would have been nothing short of legendary had this one hit, but the incredible corner count (9 for the home side and 8 for the Blues) took us just over the win to bust at 22. That's like getting a pair of Aces, and then hitting two face cards instead of splitting (for me, it feels anyway).

@toma Really good picks from the Sportsbet guys for these weekend Soccer Blackjacks though! They need the high-scoring games to bust, can't imagine how stressful that has to be haha.

[/url]

@arallmuus I didn't notice that about the Saints game! Also a rather unexpected result as none of us saw that coming in the EPL pool.
7073  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: August 22, 2021, 06:00:15 PM
@Bitinity, I got Ings too, but Salah was my pick instead of Jota. Unfortunately, very far from a prize spot. Even Son didn't score as the penalty was given to Dele Alli...

@babygun I actually had Kante in a lot last season but it's impossible to pick from their roster this season!

@Juggy777 also had Zaha, always my go-to guy, and sometimes Benteke if I know he's super fit and hasn't scored in a while. Watford, I'm like Palace: always on Sarr but occasionally Deeney.

We go again next one! We hate 0-0s boo!
7074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South African Man Loses $900,000 Worth Of BTC After Accidentally Deleting Keys on: August 22, 2021, 04:28:20 PM
I agree, the news said that he has started mining bitcoin when he was 14 years old, so that raise some questions, and in all places, it was in South Africa.

Yeah, and it's not just in crypto too. Just a lot of crazy news coming out of there that's hard to verify, and harder to believe in the first place. Not saying it's not possible to have been mining when he's 14, but you figure people would have heard about it. Young tongues wag hard, and that's not an insult. I've been 14 before too and everyone knew what I was doing at that age, ha!

7075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 22, 2021, 03:03:41 PM
Nicely done so far toma and cryptofrka, who climbed 25 and 14 spots respectively after 8 games on Match Day 2! Worthy mentions for Joca and Casper who climbed 22 and 18 spots. We do have two more games so everything can change quickly.

I saw no-one predicted anything other than a United win, very surprising for me actually, but I supposed we all remembered the 9-goal haul United had against Saints. As Welsh says, some overhyping in the end. Ruined a big acca I had going too... my only bet left now is an Arsenal upset, but I know I'll get itchy for the Monday game.
7076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: August 22, 2021, 02:36:34 PM
That's the first step of my underdog Martingale down the drain ha! Match went all the way though, so it was a close and hard-fought win, as Cannonier admitted. Would have might have gone the other way if even half of Gastelum's early efforts connected but there we have it.

Winner hadn't played for ten months I read... said he was almost broke. Tough lives to lead for these fighters...

You guys bagged good wins?
7077  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin @ $50k on: August 22, 2021, 01:03:54 PM
Bitcoin breaking the $60,000 level will cause a major rally in cryptocurrencies. Therefore, the cryptocurrency market has great potential to rise from here.

As of now, bitcoin is trying to move towards $50,000. This is the major resistance as well as the weekly resistance area. Thus, if bitcoin breaks the $50,000 mark and makes a sharp bearish move, the next target will be $53,000 and $56,000 area.

Yeah, I'm expecting once ATH is revisited, we'll see everything that's NOT Bitcoin press high, fast and furious, ETH probably leading that charge and then all those *cough*defiscam*cough alternatives. And when that winds down, Bitcoin will begin its move up in earnest, once more carrying alts on its back. Before that, though, the first sign of exhaustion from revisiting the peak and yeah, we'll be checking in frequently with the 53k range
7078  Economy / Speculation / Re: Summer dip?!, December price outcome? ---> JOIN and guess the price GO! on: August 22, 2021, 11:45:38 AM
166 to 180 still looking ripe, doesn't it? I know we still look like having trouble even testing 50k but I honestly no longer see my 100k odd prediction as safe any longer.

Interesting thoughts you got there about covid, icopress, and I say this somewhat extrapolating your predictive analysis on the sports threads Wink
7079  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South African Man Loses $900,000 Worth Of BTC After Accidentally Deleting Keys on: August 22, 2021, 10:36:39 AM
Can't trust the veracity of news like this anymore, especially coming out of a non-mainstream news outlet in S Africa. And no, this isn't just a "it's Africa/Asia so it's fake" but I've followed up a few stories like these before and they always end up not going through the proper journalistic rigour needed.

Anyway, damn. If you have that much money (and that's a hell lot more purchasing power in S Africa) you only have 1 copy and it's digital? Damn.
7080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +69698 units on: August 22, 2021, 09:29:48 AM
Right, Norwich 2021 is not Norwich 2019 at all, I got that now. And City could have easily scored a few more. Also, Watford, some brave chances but Brighton continued their bright start. Liverpool got the win, but we're still looking at Chelsea and United to continue getting their wins.

Hedging the bets, let's take a single, 100 units at Sportsbet on Arsenal @4.70. No odds advantage.
Bet ID: 61212d9a76da0f345cec2942

And then Koln, we've loved them before for great upsets, so 100 units at Fairlay on Koln to win vs Bayern @16.5. Other odds: 14.7
Units advantage: 180

Running advantage after 16 bets: +1500 (+180)
All-time cumulative: +69,878
Running units after 13 bets (3W|10L): +2,477 (-200)
