I made a post here today, I'm having issues with my nvidia 1060rig

Months before, I was able to do 25mhs each card, but now I can't and the rig crashes a lot

I don't know if is the drivers, windows updates etc, very strange

Other algos are fine
7082  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 01, 2018, 05:24:21 PM
I really do not understand
Nothing bad is happening at the momento
All exchanges are crowded with new users, and still losing marketcap?
7083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Nvidias 1060s losing hashrate on ETH on: February 01, 2018, 11:08:53 AM
Guys, I'm mining for more than a year, but this is new to me and cannot figure out whats is  going on

I have a rig with 4 Nvidia 1060s, samsung memory
At the beginning I was able to achieve 25mhs, 950 Memory...Stable as rock

But now I can start claymore or EthMiner with 25mhs each card, but then the miner stops showing hashrate, only shows the Shares found and if I press S my hashrate of 100mhs now is 93mhs

I changed the risers, My PSU is a EVGA 850 for 4 1060s, Motherboard is a GA 970 DS3 with 5 slots
Windows 10 Pro, latest Nvidia Drivers, Cuda 9 installed

I don't know what to do
7084  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 01, 2018, 10:53:16 AM
BTC won't be banned by South Korea and India
lightning network

I really do not understand why we are not growing

7086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining can't last long, too easy income to be true on: January 26, 2018, 06:37:25 PM
It's very easy to mine with 1 gpu

But how about 4 or more rigs? All risers, bios mod, overclocking

I spend a LOT of time to do this and is not that easy, I do everything to achieve the full potential of a rig

A non-tech guy can buy a RX 580 and achieve 26mhs while I do 30mhs, consumes less power etc

We are linked to the prices of all cryptos, imagine if we grow for years and achieve marketcap of 1 trillion....2 trillion....

We are generating the coins to sell to people
Can last 1 month or 1 year, 2 years, 5... Who knows?
7087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Is Dual mining dead? on: January 26, 2018, 06:28:46 PM
I've been mining Pascal in dual mode with ETH and I always gain a good money to help with energy costs

But I checked Pascal, LBC, Sia and Decred...I think it's not worth anymore to stress the GPU a little more

All 4 algos have Asics now?
7088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: January 26, 2018, 01:52:32 PM
Guys, anyone know how to prevent windows 10 from installing the falls creators update ?
My 4 GPUs rig doesn't work with the update, don't know why, and don't have the time to troobleshoot.
So I have to come back to previous version almost everyday, as the update install itself automatically every day ...
Very annoying.

Go to Windows Button, Right Click > Execute > services.msc > windows update > STOP, and then click on properties and deactivate
7089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bad time to get into GPU mining - yes or no? Share your thoughts! on: January 25, 2018, 02:07:21 PM
Hey,
So I've just bought 6x rx 570's and 3x 1070's, which I'm planning to run with a 1200W server psu and b250 mining expert mobo. I am currently waiting for my b250 which arrives in stock 1st of february. Here comes the big question though: Is this really a good time to get into mining? With the rapidly increasing difficulty and asic mining taking over some coins, will this be the end of GPU mining you think? I am just hoping to make ROI, but just since I placed the buy order on the parts till today the profits on very many coins that I was planning to mine has gone down 3x.. How do you see GPU mining in a year or so? Now the new nvidia 2x series are coming too so that should also be taken into consideration.
Let's see your opinions!

Nobody knows... since we can't predict future ETH or BTC or ZEC prices.

Could be a good time because prices might stay flat or go higher...

Could be a bad time because ETH might start crashing and in 2 months go POS.

Its a gamble... but a small one
That's also my concern. I already have 4pcs of rx570 and thinking to add some more, but with the news that I have read which ETH will go
into PoS, I'm now thinking twice about my plan. I don't know if this might affect the mining profitability, or maybe I can mine other coins that has also
some potential in the near future. Thanks for opening this thread, it might give some ideas for those who also plan to build their mining
rig and for those expert who has a good knowledge about this business.

The REAL thing that CAN kill mining is when ETH becomes POS

Imagine ALL hashrate coming to other algos

We have two situations: Miners and public in general will avoid ETH and will affect prices, probably choosing another coin to the place of ETH, but need to be a GREAT coin, like ETH

Or profitability will decrease a lot because all algos will suffer the HUGE increase of difficulty

This is the moment to buy cheap coins and make profit when prices rises

This is a bad moment to start mining
to many people doing
7091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: A $30,000 GPU mining farm. on: January 24, 2018, 10:46:14 AM
I think that it's not the right time to buy a rig, buy a coin directly, the coins are very cheap at the moment, and in the next spike you could gain a lot of money to buy your rigs, and the prices of GPUs now are insane
7092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.5 (Windows/Linux) on: January 18, 2018, 06:46:37 PM
Hey Guys

I'm having this weird issue with my rig where it will crash and down the system everyday at 7AM. I'm currently using nvoc 19(ubuntu) with claymore miner to mine ETH. Currently this feels like a software issue, and I'm exploring my options to see what the possible culprit is.

So what could Claymore be doing to cause this issue if it is? If so are there any possible solutions? I've provided info about my rig, settings, and the mining pool if that helps.

Mining Pool:
us1.ethermine.org:4444

Claymore Settings:
-epsw x
-mode 1
-dbg -1

Rig info:
Mother Board: Biostar TB250 Pro
Video Cards: 1 x GTX 1070, 7 x GTX 1060, 2 x GTX 1050Ti
Ram Size: 16 GB
Storage: SanDisk 120GB SSD
Processor: Intel Celeron G3900
Power Supply: Corsair AX860, Corsair VX550

I'm having a lot of issues too
I have a stable rig running 4 RX 580 but the another one is crashing a lot
Sometimes crashes at same time for 3 days....after that I have to reinstall drivers, reapply AMD Pixel Patch...I reinstalled Windows, I made the BiosMod again in every GPU and it's unstable
The system crashes and I have to manual reboot

I don't know what to do this time

I already:
Reinstall windows 10 pro
Use differents claymore
Change Risers, change positions on mobo
7093  Economy / Speculation / Re: Honest and serious talk about this moment on: January 17, 2018, 05:40:35 PM
So i don't get it why do we even value these people's opinion they don't know anything about btc , they just heard about it from their friends , internet or god knows where and invested in it and kept enjoying whenever the price is rising as soon as the price falls they panic and unnecessarily complain.
We all know this fall in price is based on rumours and usual panic of traders.

Yes, I agree
my post is not fantastic, but look, I wrote real stuff, and have just 2 posts to talk about

If I start a post like: 100k in February, or the bottom is 100, people will post a lot, trying to convince it's true etc

We need to evolve a lot and help the market to grow, not in dollars, but in general to keep strong
7094  Economy / Speculation / Re: Honest and serious talk about this moment on: January 17, 2018, 04:52:45 PM
One more thing, you have to realize that we can find a lot of "proofs" to everything we want to influence
Like, if we look to January of 2017, 2016 we can tell it's was the worst month to criptos
We can sell the idea of a huge crash if we look to the charts and a magic formula with a cool name
And goes on...
7095  Economy / Speculation / Honest and serious talk about this moment on: January 17, 2018, 04:33:02 PM
Guys, leave the FUD or fantastic wishes of BTC

This is my 3rd crash of criptos, when I talked to old ones here I learned a lot about this world, and at the first I was scared, the 2nd not so much and this time I'm relaxed

It's incredible how people forgot that a few weeks ago we have a 200~300b marketcap, and we jumped so quickly to 800b, this is not good
A perfect scenario is a slow growth, like 5~10b month, but this is pure emotional, when people see the uptrend they sell everything and buy BTC, when they see the downtrend they act like idiots, and posts a lot of sh#$% here trying to influence the others or they are angry because the loss of money

There are lessons to learn, and if you are in trouble, better change your strategy next time the market goes up, if you are so stressed, better get out of criptos

If you are desperate, take some days of news and come back a week after, if you already lose like 40 or 50%, do not sell now, it's the worst moment, just wait, wait and wait

People wants all 365 days of green candles, but it's impossible, when the market is all green people forgot the crashes....when the market crashes, almost everyone forgot that we are in a big profit a few days ago

It's time to study more and more how the market works, you have to realize if you are selling and thinks the market will disappear, there are people buying your coin thinking it's a great deal

NO ONE can predict exactly what's going to happen, everyone give their opinion and that's it

Remember that The North American Bitcoin Conference can bring some good news

Why make posts like this?
Caps lock, using words to emphasize a lot...
It's not your money, if you invest a lot and if you are in fear, sell and get out

If BTC fall to 1.00, no problem

This guy made a topic "I lost $300K" two days ago. But deleted it in 20 minutes. May be he's gone mad because of that)

This is hilarious!! I didnt make any topic about me losing 300k, nice manipulative behavior. Your scheme to lure newbies into buying so you can sell wont work..!!!

Because im warning them, sell now until you can!!!

If you did't lose, good for you, we don't need advices ok
You are seeing things man, no one try to lure anyone, you have serious problems

Oh, now I can understand, thanks

To OP, relax man, if you lose a lot of money just get a job and recover that
Or you can just spend your time doing something better than spread FUD

It's not the first and not the last crash, people tend to forgot and get used to only green on criptos...there are red days...
And if you are so scared like this, talk with the old ones here in Bitcointalk and listen what they reccomend in times like this
