7081  Economy / Gambling / Re: Good and relatively safe dice strategy? on: July 23, 2015, 12:11:33 PM
Hi, I want to know what's the best strategy when playing dice if I have 10 BTC bankroll and want to make 40 BTC.
I know only Martingale, and that's bullshit strategy so I was just randomly betting and lost so much.

everybody is looking for some sort of strategy to win an profit from their bitcoin but so far it looks like that there is not even one strategy that can work 100% of the time.

or even if there is a good strategy out there , the one that is using it is not willing to share with others about his winnings.

He said it like 5 times, he is not talking about 100% safe strategy, but anout what are you people using. If you have any specific strategy you use when playing dice just post it here so we can all see it and use it. Thanks.

i know that. maybe i shouldn't have used 100% to mislead you.

all i am saying is there is no good or even relatively safe strategy when it comes to dice gambling. as  ranlo pointed out there is a hose edge on top of that which makes any strategy pointless in dice.

and as far as strategies go, you should look into other kinds of gambling like poker for example which at least requires some skill and is not completely chance based.
7082  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: July 23, 2015, 12:06:50 PM
A good opportunity is also buying some new coins that are in the market, but is a high risk if their price fall down after their get popular
Every new coin is not good opportunity I done this mistake and pay heavy price before investment we need to check some stats about them

It is better to stay with bitcoin rather than experimenting with some new coins that are entering into the market. I think we should have patience and should give some time to bitcoin for the stability and as we have faith in bitcoin it would surely be more attractive and more valuable in future as the adoption level goes high.

Yes i think that a bitcoin is a good pillar, it is like a main cryptocurrency available at the moment.
All other coins are depended by bitcoin price, check the price of the other coins and you will see it's like they are synchronized with the bitcoin price. If bitcoin go up they go up, if bitcoin price goes down their price goes down too.
Altcoins price are only depending on what bitcoin price, from the word ALTCOINS means alternative coins, this coins are used more on trading because its easy to sell than bitcoin because you can't sell bitcoin into small quantity and the demand of people by buying bitcoins is small.

this is only true about a couple of altcoins and even then it is dependent on bitcoin price to some extent and not totally dependent.
and the rest of them are just depending on how much people are buying and selling them, and a lot of other factors like the devs, features, etc.
7083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: July 23, 2015, 11:58:49 AM
i read about it on a forum , i think there was a post advertising a faucet if i am not mistaken. then i started earning bitcoin from claiming faucets for a while and read more about bitcoin on the side .
7084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Beyond an Investment, its Financial Freedom on: July 23, 2015, 11:40:36 AM
I believe that if we continue to focus on the true purpose and reason for Bitcoin's existence we will see another rally in price as a bi-product.

i agree, no whale or group of whales can stop and inevitable price rise if bitcoin becomes known and trusted by everybody around the whole world.
but to get there is the important part , when a lot of people still don't trust it because of all the FUD or even their own negligence .
7085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC in your country on: July 23, 2015, 11:29:02 AM

7086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Bitcoin Crash Gold? on: July 23, 2015, 11:25:41 AM
snip snip

If bitcoin is now the ultimate money on the planet, will this cause gold to crash to it's intrinsic value as an industrial metal used in circuitry and jewelry?

bitcoin is growing for sure but it is not the ultimate currency that can conquer the world and replace every other sort of money or valuable objects .
IMO Gold is always going to be the valuable metal and because of its usage in a lot of stuff it will never lose its market, but at the same time bitcoin is a growing market which attracts more and more people everyday.
7087  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many friends did you recommend bitcoin to? Did they accept it? on: July 23, 2015, 11:20:13 AM
Only 1, when i told him about bitcoin, he just don't believe it and i never talk about it anymore.

he don't believe what? that bitcoin can surpass fiat, that can rise to 10k? or that simply bitcoin isnt' real but just a ponzi scheme and nothing else like many depict it...

personally i would try to convince him, you can do it pretty easily, by starting with saying that bitcoin is money
Not all people can understand or trust something new like bitcoin. He will say 'are you kidding me?' or 'don't joke around me', when he hear its value is higher than fiat. Trust to me, its hard to recommend people in a city that less bitcoin development.

yeah. right now it is no hard to convince many people to accept what benefits bitcoin has to offer . but when the price goes up everybody will be interested in it again.

just like before when the price was going up i could hear everywhere that people are talking about bitcoin

That is true People will talk about bitcoins when the prices goes up, but what  when the prices are going down or fluctuating like anything, at that stage they will start talking negative related to bitcoins and would just  avoid it by saying its just an scam, cannot afford to trust bitcoins as an investment tool. And that's the reality.

and the worst part is if they lose money over it. imagine that you have introduced someone to bitcoin and they get excited about it and invest their money in bitcoin, like back when the price was so high (around $1000). when the price goes down and they lose money the first person that they turn their blame to is going to be the one who introduced them to it.
7088  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a national currency? on: July 23, 2015, 11:17:13 AM
What do you think? Is it possible for Bitcoin to get accepted as a national currency for any real country? It would be definitely amazing, but I'm sad that governments are scared of Bitcoin, because they can't track it like the banks they own. I heard about "mini-country" ( country in a country ) called Liberland with a cryptocurrency as their main payment method. Please reply here what you think and if you would be happy or not if your national currency is BTC.

all the citizens of a country can accept bitcoin as their currency to use everywhere , but i don't think any of the government would like that . so they are not going to allow this to become a thing in their country.

besides bitcoin price is not yet at a stable stage , it is so volatile to be able to be used in those big scales.
7089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had to choose to put 5 BTC into 1 BTC investment, what would that be? on: July 23, 2015, 11:13:38 AM
it is becoming so hard to choose a decent project to invest in which both gives a good profit to you either short term or long, and is legit enough that you can fully trust.
7090  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want bitcoins. on: July 22, 2015, 05:41:43 PM
U buy bitcoin in localbitcoins.com site...
^^ This ^^

For a more step by step approach

Example: [US:US of A] https://localbitcoins.com/buy-bitcoins-online/US
Example: [AR:Argentina] https://localbitcoins.com/buy-bitcoins-online/AR

but whenever i visit localbitcoins.com website it automatically detects my location (from my IP) and suggests the local bitcoin buy/sells to me.

so i guess it is not necessary unless you are using VPN or hiding your IP from them.
7091  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin change in value a lot? Is it stable yet? on: July 22, 2015, 05:38:14 PM
Lets say I redeem $25 in Bitcoin, will my $25 be worth $23 tomorrow and so on or does it take a month or something to change significantly? Help???

Also, how do I see the current value of Bitcoin(s) and calculate them? I used google but is that accurate?

https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=%2425%20to%20bitcoin

it is sort of stable but it has a range of changing. at least for going down. as bitcoin price was stable higher than $220 for this long i say it is not going to go under that value that easily. and if you look at the past months movement it is looking upward and now we are stable at $270-280
7092  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Mining Reward Halving to 12.5BTC / Block on: July 22, 2015, 05:34:44 PM
if the past is any sort of indication i think the same thing is going to happen this time too, which means sort of an stable price before halving and then after a couple of months the price skyrockets.
7093  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I was bored. So i wanted to buy a game on Steam... on: July 22, 2015, 05:31:49 PM
Where do these keys come from?

if seller is scamper they will come from stolen credit cards money and steam will bust the buyer.

if they are legit they can buy it with conventional ways like credit card or paypal or etc and i think steam has some discounts like summer sale and things like that which makes them super cheap to buy.
7094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is wealth boring? on: July 22, 2015, 05:28:50 PM
Money only solves your money problems. It doesn't solve your life problems. When you have enough money for your life, new kind of problems starts to poppin around you. I ain't seen a millionaire living without problems.

this is what poor people say to satisfy themselves and don't get depressed about their full of problems lives.

it is true that money does not solve all your problems and millionaires have many problems but without money you will have 100X of those problems :/
7095  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's Killer App is Money on: July 22, 2015, 05:25:36 PM
Bitcoin's killer application is to give a chance to the people of under developed countries to the ban services. What am I talking about?

Well there is more than 3 and a half billion people who don't have a bank account in the world and who don't live anywhere close to the bank. With a simple and cheap phone, with the Bitcoin miracles can be done.

I mean look at Mpesa in Kenya and the success of it. Bitcoin can be next Mpesa, just hundred times bigger!

now that i think about it , i find this very interesting. it is one of the best benefits of bitcoin for those people who either don't have bank account or don't have access to paypal, credit cards which every popular place for example amazon is accepting.

but i don't think it is going to be the killer app , the effect is small on bitcoin in this matter.
7096  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to earn Bitcoins? on: July 22, 2015, 05:19:15 PM
10k satoshi every hours. but im not sure is true or not
but you can check this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=960641.0

It's not. No faucets can give 10k satoshis every hour in one claim.  It will drained fast and requires more balanced. Plus the profit the owner will get can't handle the rewards.

it is more like a lottery thing , it states that "One winner will be awarded..." which means that only one person will get that 100K not 10K every hour.

the faucet itself is paying out 250 satoshi per claim which is still decent amount for a faucet but low as a payment,
7097  Economy / Gambling / Re: Provably Fair Bitcoin Slots, 1 free BTC on first deposit on: July 22, 2015, 05:15:33 PM
100x rollover is just hilarius nonsense

1BTC is a huge bonus amount for small deposits, it gives you more chances of winning big, of course you need to play alot, we cant yout give away 1 BTC to everybody. Is part of the game

But still, 100x is insane. I got an advice for you, Better do a 100% Deposit Bonus on Deposit upto 1 BTC and you can cashout at 35x RollOver. This will be better, Agree?

They did it already even they gave 200% deposit bonus with 20x rollover, so this is a new promotions. I'd say its even better than 100% bonus with 35x rollover, because players just need to deposit 1mbtc and get 1btc to play Smiley No other sites offer the same bonus like this..

+1, i think it too cause we need to pay only 1mbtc to get 1btc bonus, maybe we will get rich when we roll, it is better than 100% of 35X rollover in other casinos, cause in other casinos, our deposit is risky to lose all to complete the rollover, but playing here only 1mbtc is risky, that's nothing. Cheesy

BTW, OP, can we see rollover history on profile? I wanna deposit 1mbtc there and get 1btc bonus, when will be this promo over?

You csn still deposit and claim the 1 btc bonus. As soon as ur transaction get 3 confirmations , and balance shown in your Spinback account balance. Your balance will be loaded automatically with a 1 btc bonus instantly.

what is the point of that if you can not withdraw your balance before you do a huge number of bets .
i think it is only useful for anybody who is interested in playing there for long term.

7099  Economy / Gambling / Re: 100,000 Satoshi EVERY HOUR! on: July 22, 2015, 05:10:18 PM
One winner will be awarded 100,000 satoshi per hour at jackpotfaucet.com

Don't forget about the huge, massive, gargantuan, enormous, behemoth, monthly jackpot, too!

oh yea, 250 satoshi per hour for successful claims...and a 100% referrral rate

www.JackpotFaucet.com

Is this a joke or what, why in the first place is this topic in gambling section, there is no gambling at all, and secondly, 250 satoshi??...hmm, no, its ok, i know this is joke, funny. Not.

yeah this is the first thing that i thought of when i saw the OP. the only thing that is gambling related about this post is the name of the site.

but i guess since it is some sort of a jackpot involved and the lottery every hour it makes it suitable for this board
7100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fees when bitcoin "skyrocket" on: July 22, 2015, 05:06:44 PM
^^
you can always send free transactions (that is without fee) but the thing is that your transaction is not going to get confirmed or take at least 1 week to get any confirmation at all.
