7081  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Legendary members supporting scams ? :( on: August 27, 2016, 12:01:25 PM
Code:
As legendary they should protect newbies and report such scams and not support them!
don't generalize it's just one person that having legendary rank asking for vouch, and using word "they" is just not right, there's so many legendary members out there who always feel pleased to help newbies avoiding scammers, and how dare this guy could make them looks bad too?

We have some issues with crypto servers, we notice all participants in our thread about this. Only one part of them have problems with seeing their balances. After that he begin trolling and threaten in all channels - Liqui's chat, support email, this forum (give my money immediately, i need them to buy some food Grin etc.). After that he was banned from Liqui according to our ToS.

We don't want to have any contact with this trol again.

Good luck funny Zoomer.

7083  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why is offering escrow bad? on: August 27, 2016, 11:51:40 AM
escrow only can be done by TRUSTED people and not those who having really low trading history or even NONE,because it is for the sake of people's money and to prevent any scamming activities, even an old user here who already having so many positive trust could done scamming, for example Master-P,i'm on the side of those who give you neg rep
7084  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: VPN that accepts Bitcoin on: August 27, 2016, 11:45:52 AM
Bitcoin gives the extra advantage of being anonymous for its users, as opposed to debit or credit cards which usually require the user’s personal details. Thus, using Bitcoin as payment to VPN gives you more of the privacy you needed.

We made a list of what we think are the best VPNs which accepts bitcoin – and how they are efficient in making you anonymous, even beyond the payment method.

See the whole list here:
Buy VPN with Bitcoin

We want to know your thoughts, experiences or additional VPN suggestions.

Here is another thread which includes some VPN providers that are not listed in this thread and its 50 posts.

CryptoVPN is one of them which also advertised a long time ago in the forum.

The thread I'm talking about and more info can be found at this link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1460963.0

I would not trust anything that has its roots on bitcointalk. ever. do not forget that you let in the man in the middle by using VPN, it has to be rocket proof.
I think even the VPN provider did not ever connected or advertise their service in bitcointalk doesn't guarantee that it's legit, but I do really encourage people to have their own VPN by creating it through cheap vps, atleast you'll full control of the VPS if the security was the main priority
7085  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: cointellect on: August 27, 2016, 11:36:14 AM
they have run away with the money and closed the site down , nothing much to do now , almost all of the mining sites turn into scams , eventually better do some faucets and trade your cryptos.
that's right but I guess, you're saying that too late, this thread was last active on june 2015 and it's now august 2016,and that's is such an usual thing that most of miners but not all will eventually collapse because they're using Ponzi system or HYIP
7086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining on: August 26, 2016, 12:53:42 PM
OK, so i now understand the Purchasing of Bitcoins thanks to this Forum. But now I am wondering how to mine. Is it safe? Is it hard? If anyone can help me that would be great!

Mining on a normal PC isn`t profiable and it`s a waste of time and energy.

You need to purchase hardware in order to mine bitcoins.

Yes.Mining is safe. It`s just not worth it.

thats true, it is the main reason why i never use any mining to be honest, in my opinion it never allows to earn money now
do you even realize that cryptocurrency is not just bitcoin and by mining another cryptocurrency which still profitable, you can earn bitcoin by exchanging those cryptocurrencies which you just mine before, earning bitcoin through mining is not just directly mining bitcoin even it's unprofitable
7087  Other / Archival / Re: Would you keepuse Bitcoin if government says bitcoin is illegal in your country? on: August 26, 2016, 12:51:02 PM
if using bitcoin will be considered as an illegal activity and could get me jailed by the government,so I won't risk my life, better go off to another cryptocurrency, maybe I will still use bitcoin but be sure that it will be very rare as it's too risky, will seeking for another cryptocurrency which having good communities and potential honestly
but if it's only just warn and not having a heavy punishment it's fine to keep using
7088  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Doubling Bitcoin? on: August 26, 2016, 12:09:45 PM
I agree... ETC is looking fine. I thought the volume was going to be volatile but something big is being cooked as we speak with ETC. Volume higher than ETH For so many hours.. stable price.. either down or to the moon.

The decline in the volume and price of the bitcoin is very reasonable and cannot be stopped. But it is one thing to test people who really want to get huge profit through patience they have. If they wait for all these things definitely later they will benefit vice versa

The bitcoin price has dropped slowly. That could be due to the interest in altcoins. But the volume of ETC also dropped, so the price of bitcoin might rise.
I see now the price is quite stable, sometimes drop a little and then back to its price or even increasing a little, and it's why bitcoin have been mentioned having fluctuative characteristic or volatile, and ETC have nothing to do with bitcoin I think, when an alt falling, people will seek for another alt
7089  Other / Off-topic / Re: how bitcoin is popular in your country ? on: August 26, 2016, 12:07:04 PM
I think most of us can say that Bitcoin isn't popular in the whole world. So most of us can say that Bitcoin isn't popular in our country. Here in the Philippines, only a few actually uses Bitcoin. Most netizens just read some articles about it so whenever Bitcoin becomes a topic in a conversation, they can pretend as if they know a lot about it.
when the whole world is not knowing one currency,it's fine, did you even know what's the currency's name of a small country like Micronesia or anything else? I guess no,so when bitcoin still growing its popularity this matter is normal and it's really fine, and if people just reading article about bitcoin, some of them will eventually join us when getting interested to trying this thing
7090  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain is charging high fees - $0.25 for sending 1 Bitcoin transfer on: August 26, 2016, 12:04:22 PM
We were using Blockchain with our site for quite a while but this has become ridiculous - they were charging around $0.04 initially for sending 1 Bitcoin transfer but now if we paid a member $1.50 for instance (worth of Bitcoins, a minimal amount) we would see a $1.75 deduction i.e. $0.25 is in fees!

That's absolutely ridiculous, yesterday it was $0.11 and now it's $0.25 - they keep on raising the fees.

Is this normal?

You are viewing the fee in dollars.Check them in btc and you will get better idea.Bitcoin prices change rapidly thats why you get different fee in dollars. My wallet shows my coins in my local currency and it keeps changing but it doesn't mean my stored coins are increasing or decreasing.Only their value change
most of people viewing bitcoin in the value of dollars,so changing the currency or checking the value in bitcoin just doesn't solve the problem either, the fee's value still remain the same although when you are viewing your bitcoin value in the dollar you can easily manage how much you spend, just like OP who wondering why the fees is rising even a little bit
7091  Other / Off-topic / Re: Steady Way To earn Bitcoin Online... on: August 25, 2016, 11:57:36 AM
What advice can you give to someone who wants to earn bitcoins online ,however not through faucets

I think that bitcoin trading is the best

Bitcoin trading is good to earn more profits in short time but you cannot expect steady income from trading as sometimes it will be a profit and sometimes it can also be an loss which will lead to negative income.
definitely right, trading is about luckiness and not everyday we will get the profit, sometimes the price rising not always giving profit, and also trading will took times if you're going to make big profit by doing small trades rapidly,we need to watch on our monitor every hours and it's not funny all but for the sake of good earning,we will do it
7092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we invest ICO? How to know that this Coins ICO is Scam? on: August 23, 2016, 02:01:23 PM
if I want to invest into an ICO,i'll first see who's get involved into the project,if the person were proven trusted or just trusted enough maybe I could get in but sometimes, just see the past of the developers,if the developers were new I won't take a risk, but if in the development some veteran was getting involved even there's some new developers it's could be an exception
7093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: August 21, 2016, 01:57:21 PM
I wonder how big this is going to be?  I see some pretty big names in crypto involved in the project... I bought a few ICOO thinking that maybe some investors will see the potential upside of early cryptocurrency investing

We certainly believe we're in a business with huge upside potential.

But it is for each on it's own to make conclusion and participate or not.

I would recommend reading both whitepapers:
https://www.iconomi.net/ICONOMI_Whitepaper.pdf
https://www.iconomi.net/CoinFundsWhitepaper.pdf

Could you fix the link? I don't know if it's just on my connection but it says that the site cannot establish a secure connection. I'd like to read the whitepaper but I can't.

--

On a side note, seeing that LISK's CEO is somehow involved in this ICO makes me think that it would be a pretty good investment. Also, participating in several dev-related events is a plus because unlike other ICOs, the devs of this coin is willing to show the public their faces.
maybe the date on your computer didn't match with your local time so it'll appear "the site cannot establish a secure connection" it's also happening to me few times when the time in my computer didn't match with my local time
or (maybe) your browser need to be updated (had been outdated)
7094  Other / Off-topic / Re: Amazon and bitcoins on: August 21, 2016, 12:46:28 PM
I think it will never happen that amazon will taking bitcoin directly as a payment unless bitcoin price reaches a stable rate.they already have voucher service so they will not try to gamble with it.
the unstable price is not really a problem because there's an API that exchange the bitcoin which being sent by the sender and will be exchanged to the fiat directly with the equivalent amount when the order was made,so it's definitely resolving the unstable of price problem, maybe they just want to stay on the safe zone and don't want to enable bitcoin before it was officially regulated yet
7095  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is amazon will be accepting bitcoins in the future? on: August 21, 2016, 10:45:51 AM
As tittle says will amazon accept bitcoins in the future?

i think it should accept them, it will probably take some time like 5 or 10 years but of course it will accept bitcoins as people will want to pay in bitcoins

It depends on the things which are done by all those who use the bitcoin. If they helped to introduce bitcoin to everyone, then I'm sure the next 1 year amazon will accept bitcoin as one of the payout, because amazon doesn't do things that can give you a very bad effects for their growth.
even you just introduce bitcoin to everyone in this earth,if amazon just didn't get the advantages of enabling bitcoin as their payment option in their point of view, then they'll definitely not planning to add bitcoin, company always see what they got from implement a new things before realizing
7096  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Buy Bitcoins instantly using Credit Card! on: August 21, 2016, 10:41:52 AM
a site that sell bitcoin can't even afford to buy SSL,1 year domain registration, bad website developing, whois protection, and no need to upload documents to get verified
I hope OP if really want to start a business atleast prepare all the security for the sake of your clients
7097  Economy / Services / Re: Liqui Exchange - Signature campaign on: August 21, 2016, 10:31:21 AM
Yes they scammed me by not sending me my payment for the first week and if you like to get proofs i can screenshot my liqui account and show you that the balance never arrived

I never got the payment and only for this reason I left after the first week

I have send over 5 pm's to liqui and never to a reply only after this I started to call them scammers and said i will spread the word on any cryptocurrency forum that i may find

No I just want to know that, they scammed you first or you called them scammer first? if you called them scammer before waiting for their response and before resolving the issue then it is your own fault, I am sorry..

they already stated that they have issue in the servers and they are fixing it.. I think you should wait some time before accusing them..
definitely wise advice,as I see Liqui still put an efforts to resolve this problem, judging them as a scammer is just too early and show you that you have no patient, and also,i could know the reason that liqui deciding to refuse your payment because probably they're just pissed off because of your rude words
the better choice is you just stop calling them as a scammer and wait until they could fix all the current problem and they'll pay you because you just finished your 1st week and deserve to be paid
7098  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Business ideas - what do you think? on: August 21, 2016, 10:23:15 AM
don't take the risk if it's about your education,if you're will be punished after being caught, then avoid to do that thing
if you want to go with your first idea, don't just serve crappy unhealthy drinks or anything else, atleast serve a healthy things which could bring their parent's interest so their mummy will be fine to spend some money for the sake of their children
7099  Economy / Speculation / Re: What did I tell you? BTC will stay down under $600 on: August 21, 2016, 08:44:18 AM
Nice uptrend, I think we will see good moves in the next weeks.

what uptrend are you talking about? the few bucks that the price has gone up today? that's not an uptrend, but just a normal market movement. what if the price goes down a few bucks, are we then in a downtrend according to you?
as far as I know, the definitive meaning of uptrend is when people buying and being followed by people massly and will result the price rising, but when the price just rising about few bucks,it's actually just an usual thing nor uptrend, but if there's so many people buying massly I could still say it's uptrend
7100  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price hovering around 570-580. Is it a good move to buy? on: August 21, 2016, 06:38:47 AM
Personally I am trying to acquire more coins at this accessible price but not much. I think the current price still has room to fall a bit more, and I will increase my worth of bitcoin to the event that this price gradually decreases.

I thought the same when the price went up to $500 then fell back down to $300. I was waiting for it to drop even lower, but it started rising and never went back to $300 again. The fallout from the Bitfinex hack might have been the last chance to buy coins under $500, and if that's true it's a good move to buy.

I have been hearing a lot people say that it could be the last time we ever get to see a certain price level again, but so far they all have been wrong. We even went below $200 last year. Literally no one was expecting that to happen ever again.
actually just see so many people saying " it could be the last time we ever get to see a certain price level again" when halving just occur, and so far the words is true, after halving there's no more $200 price, even after bitfinex getting hacked, the price still above $500 ,so bitcoin was better from before, having the price falling resistance
