7101  Other / Meta / Re: Lightning Network board on: June 09, 2019, 11:04:11 PM
My only concern is who will be the moderator? AFAIK most moderators are busy.

I'm very sure that won't be difficult to find, we have numerous well reputed veteran members with basic knowledge on that area that will be willing to volunteer for the job and if the appointed mod isn't good at his/her or their job they get replace with immediate effect with someone else until theymos finds someone perfect.

I support this suggestion, I'm a frequent visitor to the technical discussion board but i do more of reading then posting as my knowledge in that area is below average. Also thanks OP for linking those other threads.
7102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: For Coins that is made for purpose of payment, why not make it's price fix? on: June 09, 2019, 11:56:47 AM
Technically no token has only the dream of achieving a utility purpose as a payment token. They also have the desire to be seen as an investment option that's why they carryout ICO/IEO etc. The reason for the fix supply is so they can take advantage of the principle of demand and supply. Unlike bitcoin inwhich its main goals doesn't involves movement in price but adoptation as global currency most altcoin are interested in the price of their tokens then utility purpose you can observe that in the way the project is been managed e.g binance constant burning of BNB token to reduce circulating supply to increase price of token.
7103  Other / Meta / Re: If you're banned because of plagiarism, you can't create another account (?) on: June 09, 2019, 10:26:12 AM
First you have to understand, the forum doesn't have any unofficial rules disallowing creation of alt accounts instead somehow the forum give her members a free will to create alts but what the forum is against is abusing that privilege so, if a user can learn from previous mistakes and avoid making same mistakes or breaking other forum rules with newly created alts he/she is free to make use of the forum unofficially but that doesn't mean the account won't be punished when caught unless on rare occasion like a case of accounts been tagged net positive, good for the forum etc.

In the spirit of forgiveness, if you have showed some signs of turn around becoming a value member to the community your punishment might be reduced to a lesser one. Therefore creation of alts after getting banned aren't disallowed neither is it allowed, get it ?. Wink
7104  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is this worth a negative feedback? [Community View - icosonar] on: June 08, 2019, 07:38:17 PM
I don't support tagging for spam. If you see a user spamming, reporting the spam to moderator for deletion of post will be the appropriate thing to do, you can also include a suggestion of ban when the issue is a repeat offense. The reason you left for the red tagged is a missuse of the trust system.

If you had tagged the user for showing some signs related to scam and requested he should come defend himself for the red tag to be removed who had be a better reason instead of the spam reason. Your trust feedback should help prevent scam not spam
7105  Other / Meta / Re: Giving out merit to people you know, acceptable or not? on: June 08, 2019, 05:20:02 PM
Am not surprised, anyone who find that post worthy enough to give 13 merit is clearly showing favouritism,

You should understand, most higher ranked users don't actively participate in the meriting of post but when they do, they might just decide to offload their smerits on any worthy post they see not minding the amount they send. That post was (before it go ruined) a quality post and I'll explain below

Quote
Can someone tell me why this meaningless, uneducative shit post could attract so much sMerit

Before the post got edited by @cabalism, adding the other sentences that weren't necessary, he did summary what was actually going on, on the thread and pass on a clear message that was understandable
This is more likely a discussion with spammers and endless shitposts, and I think it should be moved to altcoin discussion. This is going nowhere, the fact Yobit is not responding to scam accusations and concerns.

The whole yobit discussion wasn't a productive one to the forum as no sign of improvement was observe, it was just giving the signature more publicity instead of actually solving the problem until theymos stepped in and I'm sure most of the merits came before he edited the post.
7106  Economy / Reputation / Re: need attention!!!! Bounty cheater and scammer! on: June 08, 2019, 04:49:20 PM
You don't have to conclude yet until you find valid evidence. No doubt, the wallet transaction looks very suspicious at first I thought it was some giveway host address but after seeing the transaction via ERC20 token transactions I'm also thinking in your direction (maybe the account owner is setting up the other accounts to cheat more airdrops). because from his transaction history I'm positive he has cheated other airdrop before.

I noticed the address received exact same amount of  Distributed Credit Chain token,  UBCoin token, Talao token etc from (20-30) different addresses. Possible conclusion is that those 0.002ETH the other addresses are recieving will serve as fees for sending the airdropped token to main account.
7107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DigitexFitures (DGTX) isn't an exit scam project, give it sometime. on: June 08, 2019, 10:35:09 AM
I saw it that the developers know what they are doing, announced and quickly dumped.

All this are assumption and as people are free to assume I won't say much but remind everyone (doubters) to give the project sometimes to deliver. Currently the price of the token is showing some positive signs towards mooning once again. I believe it's currently trading at $0.047 which is 50% profit from when i created this post.
7108  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: TRADING AND INVESTMENT? on: June 07, 2019, 08:57:44 PM
To my observation I see this can earn one a living but the question is how? What are the diffierences between Crypto Trading and Crypto Investment?

Firstly I would advise you shouldn't rush into any of them just because you read you can earn a living engaging in crypto trading or investing. They are totally two different aspects of earning as one need some special skills which you have to learn while the other needs some attitude/character you have to develop in order to be successful.

Now to the difference, crypto trading is the trading of cryptocurrency which simply has to do with buying and selling of cryptocurrency repeating for profit. Most trading are done daily or weekly while crypto investment has to do with investing in cryptocurrency (i.e buying a particular cryptocurrency, holding it for your targeted sell price or for a particular period before you sell) in simple terms crypto investment has to do with buying and hodling of cryptocurrency.

All this can be achieved by learning before you earn. Learning will enable you get familiar with the skills and rules of each aspect of earning (trading or investing).

Not a fan of the whole dark theme doesn't look attractive to my eyes sticking with the default theme.
7110  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to sell for BTC on: June 07, 2019, 10:46:31 AM
If I understood your question correctly, you're searching for a place to sell computer hardware right? If so then here; Computer hardware board is a perfect option.
7111  Other / Meta / Re: [Suggestion] Disable rights to edit Subject titles if posters are not OPs on: June 07, 2019, 10:37:04 AM
I'm a bit confused here.

The thread is about what you just did with the RE: title. OP is trying to say the ability to do what you just did should be disabled as some trolls are using it to mislead other readers by convincing them to think their subtitle is actually the title of the topic in discussion meanwhile the actual topic is something totally different. He used the list of unofficial Bitcointalk rules as an example saying it can be edited to list of Official Bitcointalk rules to decieve readers.

What OP is trying to say is users which aren't owner of the topic shouldn't have ability to edit title when replying.

Lol knew you were a fan of using this feature
The feature is useful when starting a new subtitle under an existing topic (jet cash make use of that option alot).
7112  Other / Meta / Re: [Suggestion] Disable rights to edit Subject titles if posters are not OPs on: June 07, 2019, 08:21:32 AM
You misunderstood my suggestion. I suggested to disable it for users whom are not OP creators. Honestly, I still don't think reasons to edit Subject title for users whom are not OPs. I believe none of us want to see such a mess.

I didn't but although some of my usefulness listed above are OP based that why you got confused.
Like I said the feature can be used to correct OP tilte's grammatical errors, summarize your reply or reply to a particular aspect of the OP and can also be used to start a new topic under topic in discussion . All this can be done by none OP so disabling the ability will prevent this.
7113  Other / Meta / Re: [Suggestion] Disable rights to edit topic titles if posters are not OPs on: June 07, 2019, 08:05:31 AM
At first it was confusing but I later got used to it. That some tolls are misusing it doesn't mean it should be disabled. You just have to be more cautious when reading replies so you don't get misguided. The feature is useful when starting a new subtitle under an existing topic (jet cash make use of that option alot).

It's also useful for signature campaign managers when announcing an open slot and some users even make use of it to summarize their replies or correct OP tilte's grammatical errors. So I don't support your suggestion to disable.
7114  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help me !!!! Rank bitcointalk on: June 07, 2019, 07:40:23 AM
How to earn merit sir  Huh Huh Huh

This is what the merit system is intended to accomplish
I'm hoping that this system will increase post quality by:
 - Forcing people to post high-quality stuff in order to rank up. If you just post garbage, you will never get even 1 merit point, and you will therefore never be able to put links in your signature, etc.

So to receive merits, you just have to post high-quality meaningful stuff which includes written topics or replies, picture, videos etc
7115  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help me !!!! Rank bitcointalk on: June 07, 2019, 07:34:13 AM
You need earn at least 1 merit as the minimum requirement plus activity to rank up jnr member.
For more details read; Merit & new rank requirements

7118  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advantages of engaging in quality contributions on the forum. on: June 06, 2019, 11:41:27 AM
Advantages number 1 and number 6 somehow overlap each other and like Jet Cash stated,

Corrected. Advantage No1 speaks on knowledge while No6 speaks on forum rules. I also added yours as no7. You misunderstood jet cash's statement (he wasn't speaking directly about my post but the whole discussion on the forum in general) beside just one of the advantage is associated with signature and another with merit via my OP above. Thanks for you contribution.
7119  Other / Meta / Re: Should beginner and help section be moved to the top of the forum? on: June 05, 2019, 06:25:07 PM
As they say, first impression is last impression

Glad you started with this statement, that's exactly why the bitcoin section/bitcoin discussion boards is placed at the top for a first impression (get it Smiley) the forum main focus is discussion about bitcoin the rest are just secondary so it's left for the user to navigate to the appropriate board if he/she needs help.
7120  Other / Meta / Re: Create an option to get an e-mail notification someone logs in on: June 05, 2019, 06:08:55 PM
Before I vote, I need to be cleared on the whole idea of email notification, what's the aim of this suggestion, is it that you want to to get notified each time your account get logged into or you're trying to prevent hackers from accessing our account?.

How about recieving this notification only when there is a change in users IP address instead of receiving a notification for every login attempt. Most platform uses this feature and it helps prevent hack attempts.

If the whole suggestion is about preventing hackers from gaining access to your account I don't see the usefulness of a notification when it might be too late before you can do anything about it.
