7101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will Bitcoin survive after all 21M coins have been mined? on: May 11, 2019, 12:07:40 PM
I guess the real question here is how will the miners survive the after all of the supply is mined. They might get something out of the fees but I think there is another way that they can survive after this, they may leave Bitcoin and start mining other crypto currencies but still, I don't know about that,  I'm just guessing. All I know is that Bitcoin may change after that, I mean maybe.

As of now, the average fee per block amounts to somewhere between BTC0.50 and BTC2.0, with the median being approx. BTC1.00. The current block reward is BTC12.50 per block, which will decline to BTC6.25 by 2020. By 2032, the block reward will be BTC0.78125, which is less than the average fee per block (at current levels). By 2060, the block reward will be reduced to less than BTC0.006. So we don't need to look to the distant future to check whether miners will survive or not. Within the next one or two decades, it will become clear whether they are able to survive on the transaction fees or not.
7102  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Capitalism vs. Socialism - Make your argument here. on: May 11, 2019, 12:00:23 PM
I would add just one point on top of all these arguments which were posted earlier.

In reality, there are no 100% pure capitalist countries and 100% pure socialist countries in existence. Even the so called socialist nations such as Cuba and North Korea now allows private ownership of property and private business ventures. If you take the case of the so called "capitalist" nations such as the United States, then you can see that socialist ideas such as affirmative action have been included in the laws.
7103  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Venezuela Trump re-elect split on: May 11, 2019, 11:56:34 AM
2016 would have been a cakewalk for the Democrats, had they conducted the primaries honestly. Sanders would have won the primaries and he could have won the POTUS elections by a landslide. But the establishment Dems had other ideas and they rigged the votes so that Hillary could win. And in the end, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise for Trump.
7104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins do you think will outperform btc in the upcoming crypto summer? on: May 10, 2019, 05:14:48 PM
None.

I don't think that any of the altcoins which are in existence now has the capability to overtake Bitcoin anytime in the near future. Bitcoin is far ahead of the others. If any of these alts have a remote chance of offering some competition to BTC, it has to be Ether. The technology behind ETH is more advanced when compared to that of BTC, but it has failed to overtake BTC in terms of acceptability and adoption.
7105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Current bounty campaigns that can make you rich? on: May 10, 2019, 05:09:29 PM
Can I get great contributions on how I can participate in a campaign that will add more value to my wallet?

Participating in bounty campaigns is quite risky nowadays. Because a lot of the campaigns are not paying the participants, and some of them are asking for KYC information once the campaign is over. In case you still want to participate, then I would recommend campaigns from those projects, which are already listed in the exchanges.
7106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Advise Newbies To Enter Bitcoin Now? on: May 10, 2019, 05:05:23 PM
I would advise everyone (irrespective of whether they have previous experience with Bitcoin or not) to invest in Bitcoin without wasting any time. All the available trends indicate that we are about to witness a major bull rally and in all possibility we may witness a new ATH sometime soon. The best thing about the current situation is that now most of the users are somewhat experienced ones.
7107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 10, 2019, 05:01:41 PM
Afghanistan is inching closer to a win against Scotland in Edinburgh. They need 326 for win, and currently they are comfortably placed at 230/2 after 40 overs. Two set batsmen are at crease (Rahmat Shah and Hashmatullah Shahidi), and they should easily score the necessary runs without much trouble. A big morale booster for Afghanistan ahead of the CWC.
7108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion on: May 10, 2019, 04:57:05 PM
~snip~
I don't think DC will defend 147 runs. The scores is now 48/0 in 7 overs. Since DILHI can not break through yet any wicket 147 will be very easy by CSK I think. Now Lets see how can defend DC.

Only some kind of miracle save Delhi now. Chennai standing strong with 81 runs mark without losing single wicket Sad

Guess its an end of Delhi's journey in this edition. Being a DC fan, I am still waiting for some fight back, but DC bowlers are not in the mood today:-\

For the first time my prediction is going to fail. By now, CSK is very comfortably placed and they need less than 7 runs per over with 9 wickets remaining. Unfortunately for the Delhi Capitals, Shane Watson seems to be back in form after so many failures. So the IPL final is going to be between MI and CSK, but I'd still favor MI to win the trophy.
7109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance hacked. How can this affect altcoin market? on: May 10, 2019, 10:58:10 AM
Whenever an exchange gets hacked, it is going to impact the alts more than BTC.

The reason is that altcoin holders tend to hold their coins in exchange wallets, while the Bitcoin holders seldom do so (since online wallets are not available for all the coins). And we need to remember that Binance is an exchange which is primarily considered as a market for the altcoins and tokens.

The coin that is going to be the most affected will be Binance Coin. But the other alts such as TRX, EOS, WAVES and XRP will also be affected, although at a smaller scale.
7110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy bitcoin now?? Or I'm too late?? on: May 10, 2019, 10:50:43 AM
Crypto market in general is heading to 200 billion USD I think we're getting very close to what we all call a bull run

No one can predict the future prices of Bitcoin but I have a feeling that in case you make your moves now, then you won't be disappointed in the long term. I can list out a few points, but it is entirely up to you to make the decision on whether to invest or not.

1. The user-base continues to increase, although at a smaller rate
2. Legalization has occurred, in at least a few countries
3. Most of the investors now are experienced, unlike the situation we had in 2013
4. Block reward halving is less than a year away
5. Bitcoin dominance is steadily increasing
7111  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Venezuela on: May 10, 2019, 10:45:05 AM
his is 100% a political ploy to get the Venezuelan vote for Trump (Rubio gets the tangential benefit of it as well) in 2020 in Florida.
Is Florida a key state when it comes to votes?

Trump CAN NOT win re-election without winning Florida. Trump barely won Florida in 2016 (won by ~1%) he is doing all he can to shore up Florida.  This entire Venezuela thing is designed to help Trump in Florida 2020.

Florida has 29 electoral votes and it will be very difficult (or impossible) for either of the two mainstream candidates to win the POTUS elections without winning the sunshine state. But what I don't understand is how the intervention in Venezuela can influence the voters in FL. There is a large Cuban American community in Florida, but the Venezuelan immigrants are not significant. Trump is not going to get any additional votes from the Hispanics, in case he topples Maduro in Venezuela.
7112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japan as the Next Big Destination for iGaming Operators? on: May 10, 2019, 10:39:24 AM
I regard the Japanese as one of the most intelligent races on the planet. But at the same time, some of their laws and regulations are still stuck at pre-WW2 era. For example, although porn is legal in Japan (the biggest market in terms of turnover), it is mandatory for the producers to pixelate the private parts. Gambling is also illegal as per the Criminal Code chapter 23. Now what happens is that the Japanese government loses tax revenue, as the Japanese gamblers travel to countries such as Hong Kong and Macau to participate in gambling.
7113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion on: May 10, 2019, 10:34:25 AM
Approx about 10 hours left to start the CSK vs DELHI Qualifier 2 match. Both needs to win to play Final 2019 IPL. Those will try to give their best to keep alive for Final.
Though CSK started well first in this IPL but the team performance is not good like before. In the other hands Delhi won the last couple of matches. So what will you expect around this CSK vs Delhi match?
I am rooting for DC, but you can never count out the CSK juggernaut especially with MSD at the helm. If DC manage to defeat CSK, I am very confident that they can defeat MI too and become first time champs.

No need to under-estimate CSK. They have the most experienced players in this tournament. The average age of the CSK side is 34, while that for DC is 7 years less. For CSK, they are heavily dependent on Dhoni, Raina and Tahir, while for the DC the work load is more spread out. The absence of Rabada is going to hurt DC, as none of their other pacers are able to match him in terms of strike rate and economy. In short, I would say that DC is the favorite to win this match by a good margin, but it is not possible to write off CSK.
7114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 10, 2019, 10:27:59 AM
Scotland is batting first, in their second (and last) ODI against Afghanistan (at Edinburgh). The first ODI was abandoned due to rain, without a single ball being bowled. The interesting thing to note here is the presence of Hamid Hassan, who is playing his first ODI after a gap of almost 2 years. He last featured in a domestic match in 2017. Scotland are 14/0 after 6.0 overs, and Hassan has figures of 3-1-3-0. Not sure whether rain will interrupt the play this time as well, as both Scotland and Ireland are famous for this.
7115  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-03] New all time high for bitcoin in 2019! on: May 09, 2019, 10:56:53 AM
This is just the tip of the iceberg. The trends are very clear. If everything goes as per the plan, then the current bull run may exceed the one that we had in 2017. It looks like most of the non-serious investors (i.e those who were hoping to become millionaires in two weeks) have sold their coins and quit the scene. Only the serious investors are remaining now, and they are in no mood to sell the coins before the exchange rates hit a new ATH. On top of that, a number of institutional investors are also making their investments now.
7116  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-08] Hackers Are Shuffling Binance’s Stolen Bitcoin on: May 09, 2019, 10:51:52 AM
It is very difficult to hide the dirty coins now, and unless these hackers put the coins in cold storage for the next 3-4 years, they are going to get caught easily. But they seems to be desperate to cash out and this may prove to be their undoing. Anyone remember the Sheep Marketplace robbery in 2014? The hacker (Thomas Jiřikovský) mixed the coins several times and moved them around for almost one year. But even after all this, he was tracked and eventually sentenced to a prison term.
7117  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin just broke $6000! (2019) on: May 09, 2019, 10:45:02 AM
Back over $6000 for the first time since November!

I wasn't much surprised either. And this time, there was hardly any major resistance before 6K. I am analyzing the bull run from $3,200 per coin to the current levels. The only instance when there was a major resistance was between $4,500 and $5,000. Apart from that, it was a very smooth bull run. If the trend continues, then I guess the next resistance level will come up at somewhere around $9,500. Till then, it will be a slow, but smooth rise. But it will be difficult to predict how much time it is going to take, in order to achieve 10K.
7118  Economy / Economics / Re: No Crypto Taxes Until 2030: Proposes New Ukrainian Bill on: May 09, 2019, 10:36:59 AM
Ukraine is a very corrupt country. Exemption from cryptographic taxes can give freedom to laundering “dirty money” to members of parliament and the government.

Most of the third world nations are extremely corrupt, and the former-USSR nations such as Ukraine are not an exception. That said, I don't think that BTC is a preferred method to pay bribes to the politicians. They don't need to pay bribes in the form of crypto, when it can be easily done in the form of fiat cash (either in the physical form or the digital form). The only concern here should be the exchange rate of the national currency (Ukrainian Hryvnia), which has lost almost 70% of its value during the last 5 years.
7119  Economy / Economics / Re: Can you share Bitcoin percentage in your portfolio? on: May 09, 2019, 10:30:48 AM
Right now, my portfolio looks something like this:

BTC: 90%
ETH: 9%
Other alts: 1%

Earlier I had some BCH and BSV coins as well, but sold all of them when Craig S Wright filed the libel and many of the exchanges delisted BSV. Most of my ETH came from the bounty campaigns (converted the tokens to ETH using DEX sites), and roughly 50% of the BTC also came from various signature campaigns (the remainder was purchased in the first quarter of 2017).
7120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion on: May 09, 2019, 10:11:15 AM
Here is my prediction for the playoffs and finals:

Qualifier 1: MI vs CSK: MI win, since CSK is not in great form
Eliminator: DC vs SRH: Win for DC
Qualifier 2: DC vs CSK: Win for DC

Finals: DC vs MI: MI wins the tournament.

Till now, both of my predictions were accurate.

And for my 3rd prediction, I had favored the Delhi Capitals for the second qualifier, which will take place in Visakhapatnam. Here are my points:

1. DC is in very good recent form, while CSK has lost 5 out of their last 7 matches.
2. Talking about the top order, Shane Watson looks very much out of form as CSK is struggling to build opening partnerships. For DC, Shaw/Dhawan are doing OK.
3. Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer are in good form and strengthens the middle order for DC, while apart from Dhoni the CSK middle order looks very weak.
4. However, in bowling CSK is having an advantage with Tahir and Harbhajan in good form.
