- Stake Rate will change each block
- Now based on block timestamp
- Stake Rate = Last Two Digits of Timestamp
- If the last two digits are 00, stake rate is increased to 100,000%
Stake Reward Structure in its entirety is as follows:int64 GetProofOfStakeRewardYear(int nHeight, int nTimestamp) { int64 nBaseCoinYear = 5000 * CENT; int64 nMaxPercent = 20000; int64 nReward = 0;
if (nHeight <= 80000) return nBaseCoinYear;
if (nHeight <= 85000) return nBaseCoinYear + ((nHeight - 80000) * CENT);
if (nHeight <= 94000) return (nBaseCoinYear * 2) - ((nHeight - 85000) * CENT); if (nHeight < 200000) return 1000 * CENT;
if (nHeight < 360000) { nReward = (nHeight % nMaxPercent); if (nReward == 0) nReward = nMaxPercent; //printf("Stake percent on block %d is %d\n", nHeight, nReward); return nReward * CENT; } else { std::stringstream ss; std::string seconds; ss << nTimestamp; seconds = ss.str().substr(ss.str().length()-2); if (seconds == "00") { nReward = 100000; } else { nReward = atoi(seconds.c_str()); } return nReward * CENT; } }

What is this?
Put simply, I've had a lot of requests to do something with Nxt and until now I never really had a reason to. I've been convinced that there is an opportunity for us to get more people involved with these coins. We have GorillaStk on Nxt, also on SAE, which will be open fairly soon. These will be used to trade in for either 10k or BALLS and get a Cloud Staking Plan included. These will be sold in waves; size of sales undetermined and timing unknown, but price will never change. First wave will open very, very soon. Instead of an investment opportunity, think of this as a cheap voucher you can use yourself or give to a friend. Essentially, it's a $40 coupon for about 50 cents with no expiration date that is transferable and may or may not be worth more in the future Trade in Rates- You will receive 10 x BALLS for 1 token OR
- You will receive 1 x 10k Coin for 1 token
- AND -- An address that stakes on a GorillaStake server until at least January 16th, 2016
- Coins are transferred to a new address and you will be sent the Private Key
- Private Keys purchased via Nxt will be sent through Nxt encrypted message
- We reserve the right to extend the staking period at any time. It will not be cut short
- When redeeming for cloud staking, please include which coin you would like in your transfer note
How much is it?
The price will be 50 Nxt per token. This price includes both the coin ratio listed above, as well as an address staking for nearly a year. Signing up on our website is $20 for six months. This program is designed to make it easier to involve new people in cloud staking while funding the address with a small amount to get them started. For just a few satoshis, you can purchase an address for a friend and get them a small balance to get going on a cloud staking server...or use it for yourself! This doesn't seem like a good idea
It is, though. If you were to grab an address on GorillaStake by itself, they are $20 for 6 months. We know this is a very solid price point as many people have already registered and were more than happy to pay that small fee. This is a way for us to include new members of crypto that are not currently involved. This price was decided after much deliberation and the reason is simple. Right now, both of these coins are at as low a price as they have seen in a while. At this price point and the amount of tokens that will be available, I will be able to cover the balances if every single one was sold, regardless of the market price. This means that if the price goes up even in the slightest, these tokens will be worth more and more. They come with a small balance to prove how well GorillaStake works before you deposit more coins and put more trust into our system. If you are unsure whether GorillaStake is for you, or just want to have a way to get a friend involved quickly and for pennies, this is the program for you! If this is not for you or it seems like a bad deal, please do not buy it. This was requested by many people and they are our target market This promotion will be successful whether we sell all the tokens or none at all; it doesn't matter. This is simply a way for us to expand our user base

Since the dev is not responding and probably too busy with his next coin and even after searching and asking, I did not get answers, I think the next best thing is to sell my coins as I originally bought them on the announcement of a coin swap but that has since been cancelled and replaced by an insta-mine. As you can tell, I am not happy.
I wasn't ignoring anyone, I was banned for posting about the staking hardware we are selling because mprep is a jackass. Thanks for talking shit while I couldn't respond, though. That's nice to come back to We have not put in fancy limiters to the staking like a lot of coins. Personally, I move mine once a month spread across several addresses. This is not for me to make the most, but to ensure blocks keep moving. I would not take someone else's advice on how to stake my own coins, so I won't offer my own personal suggestion Your method is earning you 56% yearly, which is higher than estimated returns; stick to what you're doing. But you probably sold them already since my being banned meant I was ignoring you personally, so this post is probably in vain anyway Fees are calculated by transaction size, not coin amount, as they are with every coin ever. I will look at changing the popup box dialog, but if that is your main concern, and think small UI issues like that, deserve our attention above everything else we have going on, you're going to be disappointed

Very interesting concept but hoping the dev can shed some light on how the hardware is able to handle the storage needs of a full blockchain. As it is raspberry pi based, it's unlikely it would have anywhere near enough storage space, without an expensive HDD added. RAM is a concern too. Can you address this please dev?
Using 12.8% RAM while staking Maieuticoin. Blockchain is stored on the SD card

Our pro mod, mprep, has now deleted the Snowball pre-order thread. Thanks for that you piece of shit. I will be spamming the FUCK out of this thread now with Snowball information since he likes to censor everything we do. First it was offline staking, now it's the Snowball. Fuck you mprep. Your days as a mod here are numbered if you keep this shit up. Nobody likes you, you're terrible at what you do, and you are a nobody in alt coins. Stop fucking with people doing actual work. Keep stifling progress; that's what Bitcoin is all about ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

Ok, I believe I have fixed the problem. For anyone who would like to use 1.0.3, redownload the entire blockchain and please report results
This is confirmed to work. You can also try reindexing, rather than redownloading the whole chain. Should produce the same result

Trading resumed on Bittrex. Poloniex should be back up soon

Currently still working on 1.0.3 For now, we have uploaded the old versions here: https://github.com/C2MMXIV/MMXIV/releasesIf you want to use 1.0.2 until we post the all-clear, it will work just fine until we get all the kinks out. For now, consider 1.0.3 a test version Sorry about this. I updated the checkpoint server to the newest version. The fault is completely mine. Thankfully it does not affect balances or anything like that Is that a new version of 1.0.2? I still have 1.0.2 in a prior directory. Not sure if I needed to download a newer copy. Nope. If you have 1.0.2 previously downloaded, it will be the same thing Check your balance, though. If it is incorrect, do a repairwallet and it will fix it Back up and staking. I had to repair the wallet, and the new balance was .02 less then the previous. I think I had an orphaned stake stuck on the 1.0.3 version of the wallet. Thanks for the help. Good shit. 1.0.3 has now been set as a pre-release while we test some more stuff. Sorry about that

Anyone else having syncing problems? I've got the latest wallet. I had PC issues today and had to reboot a couple of times. Last time I can't sync, stuck with 180 blocks to go. 56823 is the last one I got. Also a few minute ago the wallet crashed.
Should I reload the block chain, or is there something else going on, and I should just be patient?
We had a bad checkpoint occur early this morning. Working on it right now

It's on the backburner for now while we work on the Snowball. We may or may not do the anonymous chain. The amount of interest in anonymous chains within the M community has faded significantly, so we are unsure as of right now

We are currently investigating a few issues. More information soon

Lol this proof of dev shit is such a joke

You should spend less time CHUPPING (which by the way means sucking dick) on Polo and work on the coin more. People may start taking you seriously. Probably not, but maybe

HYP is now an option for the client to be loaded upon receipt of unit. If you would like your Snowball shipped with HyperStake ready to go, put that in the "Notes to Seller" box at checkout. If you enter anything else or leave it blank, Maieuticoin will be the default client: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=835103

What are the ports I'm seeing in the picture of the Snowball and what are each one used for? Thank you.

For anyone following this thread for information on Maieuticoin Maieuticoin 1.0.3
Many changes in this client; too many, in fact, to list in separate lines. We basically took another coin, adapted everything into Maieuticoin, then did some GUI upgrades of our own. You will require reindexing the first time you open this client. This will automatically begin when it is run for the first time. Do not be alarmed. Your balance will change during reindexing, and may start at 0. It will return to where it is supposed to be by the time the reindexing has completed. Reindexing could be slow, but it is worth it to ensure that all blocks are valid - Coin control has been added
- Graph added to QT Interface
- Many performance enhancements
- Smoother transition through old blocks
- Network data handled more efficiently
