7121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DIY FPGA Mining rig for any algorithm with fast ROI on: September 29, 2018, 10:22:15 PM

Is the new algorithm fixed? It will be interesting to see the hit on FPGAs.

There is a discussion on it on git I think you'll have to google it.

I see it’s ready.

I vaguely remember a discussion on discord where the FPGA Devs were laughing at the change of introducing a square root to slow down FPGAs. I suppose Monero Devs will get smarter in the fork after October fork.

You guys get to laugh all the way to the bank after you ROI. Cheesy

I considered buying one just for shits and grins but I don't have a rig setup anymore and didn't want to dust it off.

The creation of TUSD tokens allegedly happens after they are bought by registered users, and distributed via an Ethereum smart contract. At the moment, the project is open to early-access buyers from funds and large trading entities.
7124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ALLMINE INC - FPGA Cryptominer on: September 29, 2018, 09:55:12 PM
I have reached out to paypal to reopen communication with them as we are going to be able to fulfill our agreed terms for funds to be released and be able to continue doing business through them. We have a substantial amount of funds frozen in paypal. Based on the terms of our verbal agreement we should be able to achieve near 100% funds being released within the next 2/3 weeks. This is of course reliant on paypal keeping to the agreement (I can't control their actions and if they wanted to make life hard, they undoubtedly could.). Assuming everything goes as planned we will be able to refund the remaining unfilled refunds within the same time frame. I will update as things progress.

I've already privately apologized to several on the waiting list. But I'd like to take the opportunity to apologize publicly to everyone who's still waiting on (edit: or waited excessively for) a refund. The only thing I can do is ask for your understanding of the situation. If I had the personal funds to refund you, I would and keep the boards myself. This was always marketed as a group buy / community action to obtain better pricing. Similar to a kickstarter project or other similar crowdfunding campaign. We said from the get go that shipping dates were estimates. I tried as hard as I could to get the lowest possible pricing and achieved it. Part of the reason why our pricing is so much lower than the other legitimate products that have come to market is due to our small margins on the cards. We may end up at a loss on the sales of the cards. We took these tiny margins so we could pass on cards at the best rate possible. We at Allmine had always intended to get the majority of our revenue (and future profits) from fee collection. We are doing the best we can given the situation; I'm sorry if our best isn't good enough.

None of this makes you not having your refund any better. I hope it will inspire a little patience as we work through shipping so we can have our paypal funds released and work through the remainder of the refund queue.

This kind of shit can happen in any pre order situation and anyone who ordered in that fashion should have known that there was a chance of this happening so I don't see where you need to apologize to anyone.

No good deed goes unpunished.
7125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: September 29, 2018, 09:29:45 PM
As I see the shitcoiners attack on this ANN is still going on. It is funny to see some names that were quite active at time when this whole forum was flooded with Monero threads. When 5 new was made daily so it looked like some Monero bagholder or a group of them is spamming this forum to shill Monero.  At that time was not sure who is organizing that. People close to Bytecoin or to Dash. Now picture is getting clearer.

And back then 5 new threads a day meant something. Today they dont because of all spam that is now on this forum.

Shit, I just throw them on ignore and don't quote them Well I try not to, it's tough not to when they are quoting each other. But If they go full retard then it's time to Drop a mod on their ass and go to their thread and point out all the flaws in their little scam coin. Like the fact it was premined as a test coin and then changed so that all the testers have ninja mined coins now and they are trying to cover it up by burning coins. There is a shit ton to rip apart on their little scam, Im sure that jt777 or whatever has code in there to create FREE coins again. He's always in scamcoins.

Anyway If they go retard in here then they will get schooled.
7126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DIY FPGA Mining rig for any algorithm with fast ROI on: September 29, 2018, 09:24:22 PM
Well, not so bright expectations, I assume...

Realistically, Monero/CNV7 is the only hope for these cards. And that too only if Monero does not fork again and they are able to do 40+KH/s at the minimum. Otherwise, the batch of 5000 FPGAs, plus other group buys, will just kill each other on other algorithms.

Monero will fork in october and the algo has been specifically changed to lower ROI on FPGA's. I am not sure what percentage it will drop though, I think it was 20% but don't quote me on that.

Is the new algorithm fixed? It will be interesting to see the hit on FPGAs.

There is a discussion on it on git I think you'll have to google it.

Just 3 months left in 2018. Anyone want to make predictions for the xmrusd price on 31 Dec 2018? I'm guessing $175.

$131

Because these new retards to the scene think KYC is gonna protect them when all it's going to do is get the tax man on their doorstep. Lol Morons.
KYC just lets the politicians in the door so they can get their cuy from the scammers end. Scammers keep scamming now they just have to pay the fine as part of doing business and the little guys still gets squeezed. Sheeple are just morons, I just don't know how to state it a different way.
It's not just that either, they're basically asking for their identities to be sold on DNMs directly by the twits running ICOs and no-name exchanges.

Every other way to state that fact is purely tautological.

Tautological, Nice, I learned a new word! And good point.

https://www.digifinex.com/  is apparently planing to list Monero. By saying planing I mean planing, they did nothing about it yet. So will probably take some time, but they plan to add it.  It is Singapore based exchange. And although you probably never heard of it, they are 15th exchange by volume in last 30 days.   Ahead of Kraken, Bittrex and Poloniex.

Good news, does it require KYC?

BTW the English version is accessible by clicking the Chinese flag on the top right.

And again a mail to make 100% money with BTC investments ,one thing Will never change “scam artists are everywhere” pity though
Without the whole passport thing I would've snatched one up as another Bitcorn memento. I don't like how everyone and their moms want full KYC these days despite of increasing amounts of data breeches. And so far nobody seems to be trying to solve that part of the problem either.

I don't recall seeing anyone post or discuss this 1broker.com seizure issue that happened about two days ago.

Dull twit.

Yup, they will pay a fine get the proper "licenses" and then all the US users will have to do the kyc to even attempt at getting their cash back. Just a strong arm tactic to get exchanges under the thumb and timed nicely right before futures markets close. Smiley

https://twitter.com/Bakkt/status/1044567318771232769

I still don't exactly understand what BAKKT is about. The difference between SEC ETF and BAKKT ETF is that SEC ETF will use USD as their base currency but BAKKT will be using BTC, and because of that difference, BAKKT will have to buy Bitcoin (instead of USD) to pay their customers, right?

Bakkt is institutional money operated exchange that is licenced where as CBOE and CME are futurs contracts that never have to buy BTC!

This is a cool read.

https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2017-12-21/bitcoin-billionaires-may-have-found-a-way-to-cash-out

Circle is a sellout

Circle is Goldman Ballsachs, wallstreet personified.

Today Circle and the CENTRE open source consortium introduced a service to tokenize US dollars and use those dollars over public blockchains on the internet: USD//Coin, also known as USDC. Individuals and institutions can enroll in this service to deposit US dollars from bank accounts, convert those dollars into tokens usable everywhere the internet reaches (subject to the token’s compliance controls), and redeem USDC tokens and cash out to bank accounts.

wtf is this shit? You can use my cryptocurrency but you have to follow the compliance controls to ensure the US government can track your every move. But it's so much better because your dollars are now digital! And centralized! And not really a cryptocurrency. And not really a currency.

QFT.

...

anyway, by above post you can bet that bch will tank to ZERO on my into next year cash at least 1/2 out plan. (it's how I roll)

Monero developers have disclosed a major bug that could really have been nasty. Until now, attackers could have drained Monero from exchanges (or any organizational wallet), all for the cost of a few transaction fees.

I think that last sentence is the most important of all. We are still in the beginning of a great change. Many bugs will occur. It is important to support projects that have the most developers who are passionate about the possibilities offered by cryptocurrencies.

Supporting projects that exist just as a money grab or as a copy and past can leave you with nothing on a 0-day. I'm looking at you Electroneum. Grin

Lol right, anyway it was not a bug that effected the chain and was more akin to a counting bug with the side effect of lowering the total coins so...

One think about work is that it is so much less stressful when you know you can say "fuck off and die cocksucker" anytime you want and just walk away with a smile. Cheesy

Word that man.  I am fortunately childless by choice, and once you have housing and kibble figured out "fuck you money" becomes a very manageable figure.

I hear ya, I was like this before Bitcoin but people with kids need the extra cushion. Lol

I have to disagree w.r.t. "work isn't so bad" though... they've really cut back on the numbers of people and expect even more work from the remainder of us.  Also, taking time off was never an issue in the past but in the last 3 years it's very difficult.  We have extended blackout periods on vacation that creep into July and the talk is that next year it will be into early August - it's enough to drive one to really serious alcoholism.  I know... waaa!

Jesus, are you an employee or a slave?

I don't know anymore.  I got a letter last summer informing me I had to work on a specific day (one of my days off) under threat of discipline - up to and including termination (I think they meant termination of employment but I didn't want to risk the alternative)

OK, this one just killed me! LMFAO!

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why you use DASH.

So you can have a premine dumped on your ass? Oh wait you mean because a bug was fixed that could have hypothetically been exploited to destroy coins and never was exploited?

Lol Dash surely can't say that! Dash only forks away future coins to make the premine worth more. Well, back to gnore for you.

But they can say look we took out our masternodes because they don't work and you'll get busted using them and we will dump the coins from our premined masternodes on your ass as well.

That explains why all online services have been in maintenance mode the past days  Wink

Either way it’s frustrating atm sitting on what most people would call a lot of money but myself, knowing I can’t spend it YET because it’s not enough to live on forever.

My nocoiner friends think I am absolutely daft not having sold for whatever, to them quite impressive, fiat sum I might have got near the top.

People lack imagination, generally, and work isn't so bad.  A bit of structure in ones life helps keep the really serious alcoholism in check.

Yeah, nocoiners don't understand hodl in the slightest.  The ones telling me to sell at $1.1k in 2013 were giving me the same advice at $19k in 2018.  Even after I brought to their attention it was the same advice they gave me 1600% ago, they persisted - "just sell half of them!".

There will be no trading desk of these big wall street guys until they are loaded with coins. We are still in the accumulation phase. Im ready for the price to go lower, would actually love another year of a stable low price to accumulate BTC at a faster rate, because next time there will be no second chances, we will never go below 5 figures ever again and then most of us can forget about even making 1 BTC a year, since for a lot of us $20,000 can be a year worth of wage, and considering going 100% on things is too risky, it will be even harder.

Last chance to get in the train for 4 figures is now until 2019 or 2020. I believe there will be no ETF until 2020, which may get all these guys on board. If an ETF gets passed im sure Goldman's will have the insider info to plan accordingly. These guys never lose, they are smart and they know they cannot kill BTC, only become bigger holders than the rest.

Not just that, they have insider knowledge on the entire Us gov.
Everyone of them is related to Us politicians ,its all nepotism at the highest order.
