That wallet couldn't have been very cold if it was hackable...
If it was safe in the first place, there would be no reason to move funds to some "emergency address", though. Maybe it wasn't that cold, only cool.

If this is davout's kind of an April Fools' joke, I'm never using Instawallet again. Promise.
That would be a kind of humor almost inexcusable. I doubt that. I think the coins were licked. (not based on anything, just because that's funny as hell)

this doesn't sound good at all.

Same thing at Instawallet...
fuck.

Let's hope the OP doesn't call this correctly. BTC now at $104.
He didn't. He said mid-october 2012. Regardless of the timing he still said a 2 month run up to a bubble that pops at $120... which we are well on course for. Depends when you put the start of the runup. I'd put it at beginning of January. That's a slower runup than predicted. I'd still say it's a good call if we crash down to $15 or below after we've reached $120, though. (A bubble always pops all the way, right?)

The Daaash for Digital Caaash?!
hahahaaa, I've been waiting for this in big letters from you for a long time!

If anything, the bears just proved that the demand for $100 is real. Thanks.
But seriously, try to be less dumb. Who ever decided to sell at 99 just lost out on at least $1000, prob more.
you're forgetting the possibility of people being involved in options, futures, bets and the like. So maybe it can make sense to try to keep the market down by executing seemingly unprofitable trades. Not saying this is the case, but it's possible.

brilliant.
what say you about the current market, molecular?
Haha. Just because my gut feeling was right at one point doesn't mean I can tell the future now. I think Bitcoin is fundamentally sound and we're not in a bubble. I like this post. What are your intuition about BFL and Avalon? My intuition says difficulty will rise. :-)

I guess this project is down but I listed the XFV in my spreadsheet of new Ripple currencies and contracts anyway (check signature).
cool, thanks.

And a month back, before the most recent trebling, others were saying that Bitcoin was already a bubble: With apologies to Scott Sumner, I say Bitcoin is a bubble. Outside of war and rebellion, do “normal” new currencies behave this way? What if bitcoin is not a "normal" new currency? Myself, if I had any, I’d be cashing out around now.
This guy would've cached out at $3 in early 2011. And that's why he doesn't have any coins. Do I sense some envy and/or regret in his tone?

thanks guys. I should probably listen to my intuition more often.
And in the spirit of decentralization, let's hope we won't need a "president".

Very well written.
But perhaps you should replace the phrase "power elite" with something more neutral. It sounds a bit too much like a tinfoil hatter in my opinion.
Believe it or not, but some people in the "power elite" are actually on our side.
I agree and I would be happy to change it. Been thinking about this a couple of times while I was writing, but I haven't been able to come up with anything good. Happy about suggestions.
