7121  Economy / Exchanges / Re: New to Bitcoin, Safest place to buy/sell bitcoin... on: June 18, 2017, 07:58:21 PM
hello, i live in romania, and im new to bitcoin,
i was wondering what is the best site/place to buy/sell bitcoin?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, welcome to bitcointalk. There are lots of places where you can buy bitcoins or any other altcoins. You can resort to any exchanges if yourUSD funds are online like payeer, advcash or perfectmoney. Also if you want to pay from your back account, you can check localbitcoins.

I have been using localbitcoins website since a long time. Even though I don't buy bitcoins from outside, but I have sold few bitcoins to get cash through this website. They have a built in escrow service which makes the transfer even secure.
7122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: June 18, 2017, 12:11:50 PM
I've just thought about this for a moment but, if we want bitcoin to get more popularity, attention or acceptance would it be nice to make some advertisement about it on T.V.? I don't know if in other countries they advertise bitcoin but in my country, I haven't seen one. How do you think advertising bitcoin will affect the people? Any thoughts?

Advertising bitcoin on TV will surely make a lot of people intrigued about bitcoin, but why would anyone advertise only bitcoin on TV? There must be a business behind it, otherwise, it makes no sense for someone to spend that much money.

But it would be better if any business owner advertise his own business and add a note that "bitcoin accepted here". This would make sense. This way people will come to know about the business and also start thinking about bitcoin at the same time. Mutually beneficial proposition.
7123  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will up. dont worrry on: June 17, 2017, 07:03:23 PM
as u see . now btc is around 2k4. but i think it will up to 2k8 again. keep it and hope!!!

I truly believe the same and that is the reason I am buying more and more bitcoins for future investment. The current price slide is just the nature of the market. A lot of investors and traders have booked their profits by selling off their holdings and hence the price was down initially but now showing the signs of recovering again.

I believe that, the next price increase will be even more than 3k USD and with the same belief, the market cap is also regaining its previous strength. I am sure it will be back on track in no time. buy now, it's a good time to buy.
7124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Complete Garbage!!! on: June 17, 2017, 06:54:59 PM

May I request you to send all your bitcoins to me since you don't trust bitcoin anymore? I assure you that I will make good use of those coins and will never regret. Send me a PM so that I can send you my wallet address.

I believe in bitcoin and I am sure that current slide in price is just a phase and it will be over soon. Bitcoin price was down due to the normal market practice. It is just building up its ground and soon will break the previous pricing record. So I am not worrying and I take this opportunity to buy more bitcoins for my savings.
7125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What goods have you got from bitcoin results? on: June 17, 2017, 06:51:32 PM
f I can just buy the refrigerator from bitcoin results so far, I am classified as less focus in bitcoin world, but now after seeing the bitcoin price of this I started focus again, because this year I have a target to buy a car ...

If you are anything?

Well, bitcoin is giving me a huge amount of profit even today. I accumulated a percentage of my current holding when the price of bitcoin was standing at 450 USD, so you can understand that how much profit I am already making from bitcoin. This currency is so precious to me, that I don't target to buy anything like refrigerator or TV. I can buy such things using my salary only.

I have a big target and I know it may take few more years before I buy my dream object. So I am still accumulating bitcoin and not selling off anything. Bitcoin has always been a blessing to me and I am sure that I will be able to achieve my dream through bitcoin savings only.
7126  Economy / Economics / Re: The legalization of bitcoin. on: June 17, 2017, 03:31:08 PM
Do you think if we create an initiative group for the legalization of bitcoin. To find uninhabited island, to announce the collection of funds for its acquisition. Everyone who contribute will receive a piece of this island. Based on the state of Bitcoin official currency of this state to make a bitcoin. Do you like this idea?

The idea is good but the implementation is really really tough. Because most of the islands are controlled by the government. Even if the sell it to the group, they won't allow to introduce your own legalities there. The group will still have to act within their legal framework.

Also I believe, bitcoin is not really a good idea for transactions. It is really slow and transaction fees is also high which makes it an investor's currency. Personally I prefer to transact in fiat instead of bitcoin. Because bitcoin has got huge upside potential which makes it an attractive investment asset.
7127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need to rethink the way we look at 1 BTC value... on: June 17, 2017, 08:27:41 AM
OK, so now when a newbie looks at 1 BTC says: " I will never be able to own that! Too expensive!" - yes because people are willing to have 1 coin but how about if we make people understand that even owning 0.01 BTC can bring good wealth to their lives in the near future... I mean yeah it's great to own 1 BTC or more but that doesn't mean it's not great owning 0.1 BTC right?

Droplets of water makes ocean to come to live. So owning any amount of BTC is good as the price will increase over time. However, one should keep accumulating their bitcoin and should not spend it unless an emergency. IT will certainly help that person achieve their financial dreams.

We all have started off with small fortune and with out great work and dedication, we made it big. I only started my online career with just a small earning from a signature campaign. With time, with my dedication in trading, I made it big and still going strong with my bitcoin savings. So no matter how you have started, but you have to stick around.
7128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: That moment when you buy 1BTC at $2500 on: June 16, 2017, 11:01:28 PM
That moment when you buy 1BTC at $2500, and then 3 days later someone buys it at $2000. But I'm guessing that it's the risk involved in investing, so what do I do now? Sell? Or hold on them?

There is risk involved in every type of investment. Be it a real world investment or crypto currency like bitcoin. It's true that crypto currency investment comes with a greater risk, but it also rewards you suitable. That's why try SIP method.

SIP means, systematic Investment Plan. This way, you need to invest a certain amount of money in to bitcoin once in a month or bi-weekly. The price of bitcoin will keep changing, but you will be able to average out your investment. This method is pretty popular in real world stock investing. It won't eliminate the risk but certainly minimizes it.
7129  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do YOU sell? on: June 12, 2017, 11:07:45 PM
When do you decide to sell?

Is it a sat, a % of profit, or even a randomly thought up number in your head?

I am new to trading Crypto, but when I traded other stocks, I would aim for a certain percentage.
This seems much easier to hit that percentage, but much more risky.

How do you determine when to let it go?

The sell triggers when the price of an asset reaches the best logical price. However, the logical price is different for different people. If anyone is trading with a small amount of money, then tend to achieve big percentage but anyone trading with big money, tends to achieve small percentage, but due to big amount invested, the return amount also looks good.

So it differs from person to person and there is no guide to teach you about the profit. Try trading with small amount first adn gradually increase the amount as you start becoming comfortable with the game.
7130  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is unpredictable job. on: June 12, 2017, 11:03:41 PM
There are many people who lost their money on trading, because trading is unpredictable job, in my opinion i need:
Method ( i must have system trading)
Money ( i must have management of money and risk)
Mind ( i must can control my emotion)
Tell me your opinions?

True that many people lost money in trading but I have seen other people as well, including me, who made money in trading and continuing the same. The main thing you need to have to become a trader is patience. Without it, you can't succeed in trading. No method will work for you if you don't have patience.

Also money is surely needed to start with. Without the initial investment, you can't start trading only. However, avoid using a huge amount of initial investment if you are a newbie and start with little money just to learn it. Once you have the grasp over the trading practice, you can go ahead and put big money in trading.
7131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: It does appear.. ETH will 10 fold BTC market cap with in the year... on: June 12, 2017, 10:55:11 PM
Hope you diversified.

It's true that the market cap of ETH has increased manifold since last few months and the price also increased to an optimum level. It shows that many people now showing interest on ETH and they are diversifying.

The market cap of ETH is only 8 billion USD less than the bitcoin. I believe that is because of the technical superiority of ETH over bitcoin has paved the way and earned a lot of respect among the investors.  I have started investing in ETH when the price was around $120...I regret that I didn't buy ETH at the initial level when it was just few dollars. But better let than never.
7132  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best wallet to receive bitcoin from a merchant ? on: June 12, 2017, 10:33:56 PM
If I had a merchant send me a large amount of bitcoin, should I have it sent to a wallet that has a low or high price ? Does it even matter. My 3 options are to have it sent to Gemini, coinbase or poloniex. If I were going to eventually send bitcoin from gemini to poloniex, should I just have it sent to polonoiex ?  Any help  greatly appreciated

For a large amount of bitcoin, I personally wouldn't have used poloniex account. I would suggest you to go with either coinbase of blockchain.info wallet. I would stress on blockchain wallet because they are doing the business since the inception and the security features are quite good. Since they are doing business since long, you can at least keep trust on them, that they won't run away with your money.

However, if you have a plan to make a lot of small transactions in future, coinbase is best because they won't charge fees from you to send your bitcoin to other parties.
7133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to keep altcoins/crypto alive on: June 12, 2017, 07:25:41 AM
Hi guys,

I have my bitcoins since about a year. I fully support the concept of stateless currency, thats why I bought my first bitcoins.

now, I see other coins start growing a lot. My concern is about Bitcoins status as leader. I believe we can have a major crash and developers run away if Bitcoin is not the "gold standard" in crypto. First question I have: would you agree with this concern?

Second question: what needs to happen to make Bitcoin a secure #1? I dont think we even need to do payments in btc, but at least make it relevant.

First of all, I want to assure you that your first concern is actually not a concern to anyone. Bitcoin price can crash due to the normal rule of the market but it bitcoin network is based on public trust with over 48 billion market cap. So don't think much and keep investing in bitcoin. The price is still at a lower level and it has a huge potential to appreciate in future.

The answer above also addressed your second question. Bitcoin is the pioneer in crypto currency and its market cap is the highest. The closest rival is ETH with 33 billion market cap which is 15 billion less than bitcoin. Take it as an investment and save it for some more years.
7134  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think billionaires invest in BTC? on: June 11, 2017, 10:56:44 AM
I just always wonder if those billionaires still invest in btc. Do they even know btc exist?

Who follow the rules, can't become a billionaire. They creates the rule and hence they are wealthy and successful. So I won't be surprised if I see a billionaire investing in bitcoin because it is one of the most important innovation of the decade. However, I am sure they won't publicize it anywhere.

Secrecy is one valuable thing they maintain and that's why even if the invest, they won't let the news out. Few years back, I came across an article that Macafee owner was planning for a 10 ph mining farm. But no news later on.
7135  Economy / Economics / Re: How to double your money using BTC? on: June 10, 2017, 08:19:12 PM
Here is a tutorial for dummies about doubling our money and not Bitcoins with scam scripts, remember no one has your best interest in heart to help you double your coins, however there is this thing we call it Bitcoin and indeed you can effectively double your fiat money with it.

But how?

-Simple, whatever you have buy Bitcoin(s) and deposit them in never before used addresses and forget about them for literally 6 long months/half a year.

-Tip: don't pay any attention to news and don't participate in crypto related forums and social medias, it will drive you crazy.

-Result: after 6 months and after your phone alarm went off since you set it to ring in calendar for exactly 180 days, open your browser and go to one of the reputable exchanges and look at the market price, if your fiat money wasn't doubled if you were to sell your Bitcoins then find me and kick my ass for bad advice. :?

Please refer to the Bitcoin price and charts to see if the price did or did not doubled every 6 months.

I can't find anything remotely similar to this can you? and if so please share with us.

Edit:
Disclaimer:
This post was intended as a quick suggestion to double your fiat money and not your Bitcoin, any body telling and promising to increase the amount of your Bitcoin is either misleading you or tries to scam you, even legit interest paying companies have their own high risk of loss.

Only idiots gamble in hopes of earning money or double their money.

I truly agree with your method of doubling the investment. No other method can give better profit than storing bitcoin for long term. Investing in ponzi is a big No -No. I have adopted the same method and currently sitting on more than 400% profit since the time I started.

However, I think social media or forum is also important because it gives a fair idea about the market. The only thing, you need to stay away from the negative people who will try to discourage you from bitcoin accumulation. No other method than trading can give such amount of profit. So if you don't want to trade, just save.
7136  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: June 10, 2017, 08:11:22 PM
Bitcoin is surely a path-braking innovation from Mr. Satoshi, but with due respect, I strongly believe that bitcoin doesn't have the power to replace the century old banking system. Bitcoin probably can introduce a new digital era of currency to the mankind, but can't replace the fiat.

Also I strongly believe that bitcoin is best at its current form. but if it tries to break of the fiat currency system or try to introduce a regularized currency system, it will be destroyed in no time. People are enjoying bitcoin because of its high pricing potential and anonymity. If anything goes wrong, people will not take time forget bitcoin and search for alternate.
7137  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cashing out large amounts of bitcoins? on: June 10, 2017, 07:22:16 PM
How does some one go about cashing out 5 million dollars worth of bitcoin?

IS there a trust worthy exchange that doesn't have low limits.. and high fees?

Bitstamp allows any amount it seems at .09% fee so for 1 million dollars it would be $9,000 fee.

Does anyone have any experience cashing out large amounts that does not take a year to do?

thanks

0.09% of 1 million would be 900 USD and not 9k USD. So the amount is not high to that person who is cashing out such a huge amount. 900 USd fees is simply nothing compared to a million dollar. Even though I have never accumulated such a high amount, I believe it will be wise not to cash out in a single go. It would attract a lot of heat if the person is cashing out to any bank account.

IT is always advisable to cash out in bits and parts or a fixed monthly amount. It would not raise a security alarm to the regulators and the person must include that earning to the tax statement to be safe. Because what's the use of a million dollar if he spend the rest of his life in jail?
7138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does regulating bitcoins is necessary for global adoption? on: June 10, 2017, 07:17:34 PM
Regulating bitcoin is not at all a good idea for its popularity and adoption. First of all, we don't have any such authority which can regulate a decentralized currency like bitcoin. If it happens, then half the fun is gone. People will not be adopting on a larger scale like now.

However, if an anonymous regulatory body can regulate bitcoin's technical problem then it would do good to the bitcoin's mass adoption. If the current problem can be solved by that body, that would help millions of bitcoin users and also increase the investment flowing in to bitcoin.
7139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: which coin is best for tradding??? on: June 09, 2017, 11:18:25 PM
I don't think there are any particular coin is present which I can say as best for trading. Trading is something which doesn't follow any rules and you need to be open about everything when it comes to trading. At one point of time, you may feel monero is best and at the next, you may feel ETH is best. It's all dynamic and you have to keep track of their prices to be a good trader.

However, if you think about long term, then bitcoin is best and now ETH and byteball also coming up so fast. But for short term or day trading, any coin can steal the show at any point of time.
7140  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin benefit of saving for a long time? on: June 09, 2017, 11:10:03 PM
why so many people store their bitcoin in their wallet for a long time, whether the benefits will they get?

Come share your thoughts

Looking at the current price of bitcoin, I am sure that the benefit of saving bitcoin needs to explanation whatsoever. People who have started just an year back, are already enjoying more than 100% profit from their saved bitcoin. I am sure that they will never ever invest in high risk investment like ponzi.

I have started earning bitcoin when the price was standing at 450 USD, so you can easily calculate how much profit I am making just by saving my bitcoin and not by investing it in ponzis. Saving bitcoin is also an investment and it's high time, people start taking it seriously.
