7121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to move to BTC on: July 18, 2018, 01:44:56 PM
I think to have a bull market up-coming is the best way to move all the money that you have in altcoins to bitcoin, because with market dominance of Bitcoin the market will go green, and the bull run with start, as far as I am concerned from the previous experience of the bull run more than 55% bitcoin was dominant in the market.
Suggestions?

I dont think so.

Too many opinions now. Even with a bull run like this right now they might not transfer it to bitcoin.
One reason is the altcoins are also being pulled by the bull run.
Why exchange and pay fees for that trade instead of just staying with the altcoin with the same amount in USD.
Some are just lazy to do it or they could be looking for an independent bull from their own supported coin.
7122  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think the cryptocurrency market will disappear in five years? on: July 18, 2018, 12:35:00 PM
I dont think so.
That is your opinion and I respect that.
But we have different sets of minds here. There are believers and there are other kind of thoughts.

What do you know? Maybe in five years you will be using bitcoim as payment instead of that paper which is mostly used by now.
I believe it could happen.
Maybe not five then I will wait for 10.

Smart phone mode so having a hard time to quote. Grin
Regarding that Pistons team composed of Chauncey, Rip, Tayshaun and the Wallace's. That is a super team. It is just that they focused on the defense.
Problem with super fans is they are looking at the points of a player to see how great he is.

This Piston team dont need that.
Whenever a game score is below 100 then Piston is the sure winner. That is how hard their defense is.

East will be the best to watch actually. There are no underdogs and shinnanigans. Young players with the will to get the crown.

While on the West, you will just wait for Houston, GSW and maybe Lakers to see a good fight.
7124  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning to trade on: July 17, 2018, 09:43:34 PM
I have been learning how to trade btc and altcoins by myself and having my experiences. I read online articles on trading signals and what to watch out for.  I've made some profits and lost a good deal.  Good thing I started with very little capital. Right now everything looks so negative especially as btc went so bearish.

I need advice on how to improve my trading because I really want to do this Angry

You've already equipped yourself with the necessity and that is experience.
You can read all you can with all the technical analysis of all professionals but it will still not be accurate.

Trading crypto is way different than those in forex.
One good example is now. Bitcoin price is jumping in different numbers and altcoins are being dragged with it.
7125  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Starting Mega Bull on: July 17, 2018, 07:04:55 PM
Really dont know. But it already gained a lot since just hours ago.
This could pull more investors if good things could take some time.

I am tired of all the FUD's that have been scattered which are all just guesses. It is about time bitcoin prove itself that it is still undervalued even with the recent price. Time to go with the wave for those who are waiting.
7126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: July 17, 2018, 05:08:02 PM
The NBA is really starting to suffer from lack of competition.  The Warriors are coasting every year to the Finals and this isn't going to change for the next few years.  At least the Eastern conference doesn't havfe Lebron anymore so we won't be seeing the same team from the East.
At some points, I agree with you but take note that this always happen even in the very start of the NBA. Remember the Celtics at around 80's I think when Bird is playing and the Bulls when Jordan, Pippen and Rodman are playing. They dominate the NBA especially when the Celtics won 8 straight NBA championship at around 60's if I remember correctly.
You are really an NBA fan because you still remember the old days.
The East actually does not give excitement already because all eyes are in the Lakers, Warriors, and the Rockets, these teams are the best in NBA now.

But you have to remember that there's still excitement in the game. Do you still remember 2004 finals? Lakers vs Pistons?

Lakers:
1. Shaq
2. Kobe
3. Malone
4. Payton

That's 3 HOF (Malone, Payton and Shaq) and 1 possible (Kobe).

Against Detroit who is lead by Billups, Richard Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince. But the Pistons upset the Lakers under Phil Jackson that year and that is a super team, they played superb defense against Lakers offensive power. So don't totally write off the East team right now, because its possible that they can bring something in the table as well.

I do agree. They will just have to play harder though.
I just dont like the way NBA is now. Garbage time. That should be taken off. There is no such thing as that. This is some kind of thing to protect the players. (star players) How come they are protecting those who are paid too much. They are paid more for them to play hard and not to sit just because they are behind 20 point in 4 minutes.
I dont see much of a full court press now. They began to act like lazy bastards who will just walk with the pointguard making the play and not really defend.

That respect mode during garbage time. I do not agree with the way they are fighting just because the player of the other team dunked the ball during garbage time. DO DEFENSE!!! so that they cannot dunk the ball.

Again that fight happened just because of a garbage time which is not in the dictionary of basketball. There is no such thing.

If you are behind then go make STOPS. Try to steal the ball. Make them do freethrows to stop the time and do a great play in a little amount of time. Do it over and over again until you are close to the lead.
7127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin doing monopoly business in cryptocurrency platform ! on: July 17, 2018, 03:36:56 PM
Lol, let's define monopoly first:

What is a 'Monopolistic Market'?
A monopolistic market is a theoretical construct in which only one company may offer products and services to the public. This is the opposite of a perfectly competitive market, in which an infinite number of firms operate. In a purely monopolistic model, the monopoly firm can restrict output, raise prices and enjoy super-normal profits in the long run.

It's not even monopoly. The cryptocurrency market is a free one, where everyone is free to choose which coins to use. Bitcoin is the largest because the majority gives it high regard, not because it tries to gobble up its smaller competitors -- something which monopolistic firms actually do. The market has actually been increasingly competitive if we use Bitcoin dominance as a "competitiveness" metric. Either way, you can't stop the best from being the most successful.
As we know other cryptocurrencies are copying the technology from BTC. So, BTC has the technology advantage that makes it great. So far, I find everybody just trying to copy the technology and strategy from BTC.

I have seen you got the correct answer here.

Thanks though for bringing that up. To clear minds of others that are being hooked with other coins thinking it is the future.
They are all copies specially BCH which almost made to make a confusion to those newbies who wants to buy bitcoin and yet they ended up in a different one. Bad thing is there is no law yet to imprison this people who made it that way.
And still they say that is the real bitcoin. BS is piled up in this forum so better go deep in reading.
7128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: decentralized exchanges are safe? on: July 17, 2018, 12:38:54 PM
Decentralized.
One example is idex where you could trade tokens as much as you want under the smart contract.

The problem? Not much buyers and sellers out there. Just mere listing it and Voila let it be.

Unlike Binance, equipped with a lot of traders the volume is so high you can sell high amount of tokens.

Problem? They know who you are. Grin
7129  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For this reason, wouldn't ETH be the future of all crypto? on: July 16, 2018, 10:45:32 PM
Hi, first time I create a thread myself on BitcoinTalk!

I wanted to bring into the discussion if there are many good projects under the Ethereum blockchain (ERC-20 tokens) that have a potential for the future, wouldn't ETH become super important since it is what you pay as a transaction fee.

I know there are many shit-projects under the Ethereum blockchain, but I am not worried about those, because we (the users of crypto) will figure that out and simply not use them. But every now and then a great project arises that can give a lot of value to making solutions in the world. Just wanted to hear your opinion on this.

Okay so what are you pointing out here?
There is a lot of good ICO created under Erc20 and I have seen some of those.
So does that mean Ethereum should be the best?
Helll they forked Bitcoin and got Bitcoin Cash and it got more valuable than ETH.

Even if it can be used with those kind of service it doesnt meam it should rlgain its value just like that. We need more reason than just that.
7130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Market's Future without all Cryptocurrencies? on: July 16, 2018, 09:29:14 PM
This billions of dollars now that are in the market of crypto could be anywhere else.
Commodities might get a larger percentage of it before mutual funds and other with just banks for there will be no more option.
1 percent annual and just live adding more savings.
I guess I will just risk it with Gold and S&P. Dont want to get old just keeping in banks with just a little interest.
7131  Economy / Economics / Re: Why exchanges do not pay interest? on: July 16, 2018, 08:12:56 PM
There are no exchanges that pay interest for your cryptocurrency in today's market conditions and i don't think they need to pay as they are not similar to the banking services where people get interest on the annual or monthly basis. I think if there is anything serious about interest rates then you can expect the interest charge to be levied in upcoming months.

Well the money i have in a bank are on a termless deposit.
They are there for unlimited amount of time.
Yes, the interest is the smallest one compared to 6 months or 1 year term deposit.
But there is still an interest.

I'm not a financial guru, but I know that banks use
it's customer's money to do all type of investments,
loans and trading from which the bank is making a profit.

To pay you for giving them this opportunity,
they pay you an interest.

If we accept that crypto stored in an exchange for unlimited term,
then it is very logical that you should receive some % of
the exchange's profit. You are basicly funding the exchange.

Yes, banks charge you for keeping you account alive, which exchanges don't.
However banks have physical offices, a website, ATMs, they issue cards, they pay taxes
they have 24/7 support and they insure your money.
And still they pay you interest.

Exchanges have just a single website with a support and no interest.

Hey, maybe it's an idea for a new era crypto exchange Wink

If someone likes my idea, I'll be happy to share the rest
of my toughts on this.

It is you who are invested already. Why do they need to pay you anything else. Besides, you are going to a wrong idea here.
You should not keep those coins with them. That is the basic rule of one investor or a holder. Keep it in a cold wallet if you are going to leave it for a long time.

You get something with the fluctuation of the coin and it is the same with them.
They get just a little amount for those who will trade and it could be just the altcoin you are trading which you will pay for.
They will hold it too in case of a bull.

Both are at risk, so why should I pay you if I am the exchange. I will run out of money if I do that.
7132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: July 16, 2018, 11:53:02 AM
With all those happenings at the West, East conference seems kinda left out. Most likely the best teams are concentrated on the West and because of that East seems a way less interesting. Well, Top3 at the East are definitely Celtics, 76ers and Raptors. I am not sure who would be able to fight for Top3 with them. Wizards are looking pretty interesting though... I think they will end in first 5.

That is just top 3 of the season and it is different when it comed to the playoffs.
Cleveland fought Indiana at 4-3 while Raptors was swept.
It depends on how hard they will play on the playoffs and rankings wont matter anymore.

They might be preparing for the fight against the West but they will need to finish the East first.
I will vouch for 76ers and Indiana this time although when Irving and Hayward is back it will also be a strong Celtics.

Toronto? They played like beginners although they have fought with Cavs last time. They even benched DeRozan which is questionable.
They are happy now because Lebron left the East, there will be great competition among teams as the cavaliers will no longer dominate them.
I think the move of Lebron is nice to face bigger challenge in the West, this guy is consistently going into the Finals and it would be a big task for him now that he is in the west.

It will be better if he can get the WCF.
That way it might get easier to their team to get the NBA championship facing anyone in the East.
That is if they can get over Houston and GSW which have been dominating the West.
I dont expect too much for the Lakers to go way beyond it since the roster is overhauled. They might need 1 more year. Problem is the if the line up will just get 1 year each. They really need chemistry when they are playing with Lebron.
7133  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do people look at the dollar value of a coin instead of the Satoshi value? on: July 15, 2018, 11:56:36 PM
True.
Which is wrong.
It should not be converted over and over to USD. That is the problem now with most of the investors.
They are stating they bought bitcoin with USD before buying a certain altcoin so it should also be converted to USD.
They think the value of it comes from that. It is just a mere price that says how much it is. The true value comes from the project within the altcoin.

There are still altcoins which are undervalued now because of that.
7134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: wasted 3-4 months in bounty and at end got nothing ?? on: July 15, 2018, 01:19:06 PM
This is the main mistake of bounty hunters they are expecting so much remember if the ico will not reach softcap no bounties will be distribute because project don't have funds.

Very true.
It is like a bidding. When no one bids or their capital for their project then how can they distribute the bounty?
It is a risk that a bounty hunter should take. I have seen numerous of users here with the same dilemma.

Do not expect too much. Get more knowledge about the ICO you will be joining to avoid this kind of regrets.

7136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be contented with what you have on: July 14, 2018, 07:11:29 PM
Slow and steady they say wins the race. Do not be in a haste to make it big in the crypto world. There is never a shortcut to success. Be contented with whatever you gain at every point in time.
Do not look down on yourself because you see others make it big. A drop of water makes a mighty ocean.
Your gain might seem to be small today.
Your portfolio might not look so big.
Just in a moment and with little more patience, your portfolio will see the brightest light and be filled above your imaginations.

A problem I mostly see here.
They want it fast, they want quick money and see that profit in USD already. Never even tried to support the token they bought.
They just buy and think of it as if it will grow without doing anything.
Even plants needs to be watered and sunshine for it to grow and you will have to be patient to see the fruit from it.
It takes time and effort.
They think just because bitcoin jumped from a low price to a higher one, then it could happen over and over again and also to other tokens.
7137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: July 14, 2018, 06:26:41 PM
Kingkong's Lakers has no match with the GSW. Kawhi will be the sixth man of GSW!
Hahaha, you just made my day.

Regardless if he has a match or not to GSW, this season is another exciting and one of the most awaited.
The warriors don't need Leonard anymore, they are the best team in the NBA and with the addition of cousins, that makes them unbeatable.
I believe whatever team Leonard will land, there is gonna be a big adjustment and they still have no match with the Champs.
They are stronger than before and they don't want other teams to outsmart them in terms of roster build up.

I know how Warriors are strong enough but the ball is round and although we are expecting the same result again for this season still, let's wait.
With their starting team of five all-star players, I think they are definitely the best one yet but we will see when the season finally comes again. Right now they’re composition is definitely hard to be but I know they can still be beaten with the right plays  by the right team.
They are the best one because they are the crowd favorite but I wouldn't ignore other teams as well.

This is the exciting part of NBA, you get to see the best but we are not seeing those teams that are going to surprise us.
I think its enough for the Warriors discussion now and lets go to the Eastern Conference  Cheesy Cheesy

Who do you think will be the best players on the east?? Now that Lebron is on the Western Conference right now, the best picks for now is Kyrie (if he will stay healthy in the whole season), Demar and the Greek Freak Antetokoumblah blah I cant spell his surname Cheesy. Maybe add Oladipo also on them.
I don't think much about who is the best player in East what I think is who is the strongest in the East right now. Boston and Sixers will surely dominate since Lebron leave the East and Cavs isn't competitive enough without him.

Don't forget about Indiana Pacers who almost won the the playoffs against the Cleveland. This team is still building and going stronger. But I dont know now since they lost Lance Stephenson. Maybe they want some space in their cap for a new addition of a better player.
Since West is getting stronger players who wants to have a shot at a championship might go to the East to take it.

Oladipo as their new all star player might make some changes with his game too making him more fearsome in how he plays.
He just needs to better that outside game since he is already good with his penetration.
They have Turner too. They just need a wing man of Oladipo for outside shots.

7138  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: SECRET OF TRADING on: July 14, 2018, 06:14:55 PM
Should've made an example and that is bitcoin.
A reliable coin which have a good fluctuation and can easily make some money out of it.
New ones tend to risk it with a recently finished ICO which just hit a good trading website. That is already a risky move which could make some loss.
If you do not know yet what length of fluctuation it could give then do not just go jumping in.
Example also is Ethereum. I have seen it go back and forth from 400 to 500 USD. Just a large amount of it can give you 50 to 100 USD of profit per Ethereum.
7139  Economy / Economics / Re: Paper Money - The Greatest Scam on: July 14, 2018, 04:14:19 PM
I understand what you are trying to say about inflation for they could just recreate paper over and over again.
But dont we see that now with all the crypto currencies that are being used? There is too much number of different coins by now.
People. They play God. They want to create too.
Look at how the value of every crypto coin goes down. Why? Investors dont know where to go. Hell! They dont even know what is the oroginal anymore because of copies.
7140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you know that 25% of all Bitcoins are lost? on: July 14, 2018, 07:07:11 AM
According to Jameson Lopp, a former BitGo and current CasaHODL engineer over 4 million Bitcoins (over 25% of current circulation) are lost.

Source: https://coincodex.com/article/2018/jameson-lopp-estimates-4-million-bitcoin-are-lost-forever/
I have read from several sources for a long time that more than six million bitcoins are considered lost. Here the figures are clearly understated and obsolete. In principle, how can you accurately calculate the number of already lost bitcoins. It is clear that this figure will always be approximate.
You do realize that the research is based on the addresses being used. According to them my 2014 wallets are probably lost, because I haven't made a single transaction since I bought the coins. I'm sure a lot of coins is lost, but estimating that it's 4 million or 6 million based purely on activity is stupid.
Don't underestimate the hodlers Wink

Yes there is no correct number for this.
There might be still holders who are just not doing any transactions until now.

Wherever they get that number it is a total of a non moving bitcoin which is not an accurate idea to tell people. They should input that is just a wild guess.
Although, it is good for me. I dont know about the other holders. It means greater value in the future. That is what they dont see until now. Next time it will just be satoshis that they will be talking about on how valueble per sats is. Grin
