7122  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitmain co-founder in legal war against shareholders of the company on: July 23, 2020, 10:25:19 PM
It's Jihan's turn to move his pieces in this chess match, Power Struggle Inside Bitmain ‘Hard Forks’ Bitcoin Miner Production.

Quote
The ongoing battle between the co-founders at Bitmain has now essentially hard forked the world’s largest bitcoin miner manufacturer into two different operations and supply chains for making its flagship AntMiner equipment.

Wu Jihan, the co-founder who ousted his rival co-founder Micree Zhan Ketuan last year, registered a new entity on July 16 in Shenzhen, China. The new entity, called Guiji Yanghang, is a subsidiary of another recently incorporated company named Beijing Guiyuan Dalu, which is controlled by Wu’s side.

Wu removed Zhan from Beijing Bitmain in October, following a long-time power struggle between the two. But Zhan made his comeback in June to control the entity again after winning favor from authorities earlier this year.

So Jihan registered a new company and we might see Bitmain splitting into two and producing the same AntMiner, how ironic it is for Jihan who supported a fork coin. Smiley
7123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Steve Wozniak Sues YouTube Over Twitter-Like Bitcoin Scam on: July 23, 2020, 10:00:06 PM
It's right time everyone step up against these scammers, the blame should be vented on YouTube for their negligence towards swinging into action when reports were made by Steve Wozniak. Does this mean that, YouTube are also hiding something from us? Maybe they should tell us what they know about series of scammed that has taken place in their platform. How could someone made reports about his reputation be touted and still no action was done to Savage the situation.

Negligence would be the appropriate word, as we all know, they really have relax policy on fake giveaways using Steve or Elon Musk and others photos or videos and most of the time they are late in taking down the videos as it has already scammed a lot of people. I remember one Elon Musk fake giveaways, who stayed in Youtube and they taken it down two hours later, but the scammer have run more than $200k already. They should take notice of this alarming number of scammers in their platform.
7124  Economy / Gambling discussion / [Boxing]: Gervonta Davis vs Leo Santa Cruz - Oct 31 on: July 23, 2020, 04:08:33 PM
Scheduled on October 24 31 in Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut The Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. This is another fight that is also highly anticipated, as we all know that Davis is an exciting fighter (although he has problems lately with making weights). And Leo Sta. Cruz is no push over.

However, I don't see Leo giving Gervonta problems here, this could end up in judges scorecard in favor of Davis.

7125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BetKing sponsors kenya football , is it a publicity stunt ? on: July 22, 2020, 11:21:14 PM
Nah, just another publicity stunt for BetKing here, there reputation precedes them and most likely wanted to restore some in crypto community by supposedly supporting female league.

7127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty thread with self moderated lock on: July 22, 2020, 10:21:06 PM
Guys please be careful with bounty campaign threads that is self moderated by the bounty manager, it means you won't be able to ask questions or raise an alarm in the thread, presently it's what the bounty manager of ibidtowin project did. Most self moderated bounty thread are scam

I do agree on this, self-moderated thread specially for bounties are like censorship. But if you did ask questions and was deleted, you can open a thread about it in Reputation board to call the attention of the bounty manager. But definitely, this is a red flag to me.
7128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoins dominance coming to an end? on: July 22, 2020, 09:54:49 PM
A lot of speculations coming around this forum as well as in many other sites regarding the dominance if BTC is going to end, Are the alts going to take over???

Where as I went through few links where it states like big whales are targeting altcoins over BTC. Pretty cool 😎 but I still believe in this valuable asset because remember what happened in 2017 it rallied more than 1000%. So guys don't panic and take serious decisions have patience till it recovers BTC is still dominating and hopefully it will in upcoming. Link just for reference.

https://dailyhodl.com/2020/07/21/bitcoins-status-as-crypto-king-is-coming-to-an-end-predicts-blockchairs-nikita-zhavoronkov-heres-why/amp/

I remember that when we are in a bull run in 2017, bitcoin's dominance is <50%. So it could be a good indication if we loss some today but gain in price. I think the this DeFi is pumping the altcoin market and there could be some whales shifting their money where there is a good chance to profit even higher than bitcoin because of the DeFi hype. I'm not that nervous though, and we all know that this hype will die down and everyone will go back to bitcoin market in no time.
7129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Hector Tanajara vs. Mercito Gesta on: July 22, 2020, 09:28:40 PM
Hector Tanajara vs Mercito Gesta boxing match, the result will almost certainly be won by Hector. From any outstanding survey
Hector victory was clear. But don't ever underestimate Gesta, as a underdog boxer can surprise everyone by defeating  Hector.
If this happens, many people will experience a loss in sports betting, because most people will betting on Hector Tanajara's win.

It should be don't underestimate if your opponent is a Filipino boxer because if may surprise everyone, lol. Gesta is being use as stepping stone for Tanajara here but there are a high chance that No Mercy has other plans but to derail this fight. I'm waiting as well for my favourite bookies to list this down and bet on Gesta, ML will be perfect.
7130  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will NEVER reach it's ATH anymore. on: July 21, 2020, 11:30:42 PM
You can treat it whatever you want, (1) currency/money, (2) store of value (3) speculative asset, and there nothing wrong about that. Bitcoin has evolved so much in the last 10 years that most people think it as a get rich scheme specially in 2017. But those who think like that got burned and REKT, so there's always a lessons to be learn eventhough the market is very young. So it's really up to you to decide, whether it reach another all-time-high or not, its your call if you wanted to stay.
7131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Calls On Hackers to Attack Ethereum 2.0 in Exchange for Bug Bounty on: July 21, 2020, 10:45:48 PM
At least they have learned from the hacking incidents in the past. Offering bounty is a good gesture to the hacking community as well, as they recognised that they should be part of the solution and the problem. Huge amount as well, $5k is not that bad, although there are hackers that has been rewarded more than that. And there is also some group of ethical hackers which take this as a job. So let's see who will be the first one of the many that will successfully penetrate ETH 2.0.

7133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Hector Tanajara vs. Mercito Gesta on: July 21, 2020, 08:56:25 PM
Let's breakdown the fighters:

Hector Tanajara - one of the best upcoming prospect by Golden Boy, young, tall and has a good amateur background. 2x Golden Gloves, but If I'm not mistaken, he didn't pursue Olympics. His head trainer is Robert Garcia who is one of the best trainers we had.

Pros: Long tall and has a solid jab
Cons: Very young, still raw talent
Notable wins: Ivan Delgado (vacant World Boxing Council United States (USNBC) Light Title), Juan Carlos Burgos

Mercito Gesta - I'm sure Filipino boxing fans knows who Gesta is, very powerful and explosive and once was touted to be the next boxer who will carry the torch for the Philippines.

Pros: Very experienced, power in both hands, fast and explosive
Cons: Gasses out in late rounds
Notable wins: Robert Manzanarez (vacant World Boxing Organisation NABO Light Title)

Gesta for sure will start very fast as usual and try to get this kid very uncomfortable, this is best time to really give Tanajara a beating and knock him or knock out for a win and test him. Otherwise if the fight progresses he will tire out in the latter round. Gesta has problems with tall fighters that's why he should really rough him up. If he is the underdog here then obviously my bet goes to him. But Tanajara is very dangerous and will use his jab to keep Gesta at bay.
7134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Argentina’s telecommunications hacked, demands Monero for ransom on: July 19, 2020, 10:44:32 PM
Most of the time companies do not comply with these type of offers, it is really not a smart decision because if you pay them, they could simply just not give everything back and request for more, it doesn't make sense for both the company and for hackers to request something like this because they should have seen it from companies perspective like I do.

But there are still who pay this hackers the ransom money because they want to get their data back.

99% of the time the company usually reaches down to the most core technological level of the situation as they can and either use a backup and lose a lot of data but still continue without trouble, or simply just move on like nothing happened with tons of losses. If you lose 7.5 million dollars to a criminal, it is worse than losing 20 million because of getting it back yourself, so companies will do their best to get it themselves without paying.

Again, there are some companies who haven't seen this kind of attacks and sadly has poor backup procedures and they learn it the hard way, until the hackers gets all the data from them and ask fro money.

Monero? Looks like the hackers did their homework here and not wanting a coin that is not anonymous and that can easily be followed. For sure this will put Monero again in bad light.
7135  Local / Pamilihan / Re: BABALA: Twitter Hacked Incident! Don`t Click on: July 19, 2020, 10:16:43 PM

7136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New normal world will make crypto better on: July 19, 2020, 09:49:40 PM
Popular Cryptos are doing better than traditional investment. Whole crypto market is doing improvement during covid pandemic where traditional businesses are suffering a lot. So large companies, banks found crypto as better field of investment and thereby most of the giants have separate arms to handle crypto assets. They are adding cryptos mainly btc, eth, defi into investment portfolio. Good days are coming if we survive through Covid19

Just to set things straight, crypto is already booming even prior the the COVID-19 pandemic, it's just magnify during the pandemic because we need to transact contactless, but there are also other means like credit/debit card. But then again, if they large companies you are saying didn't understand crypto's volatility, specially non related to crypto itself, then they might find themselves in a difficult situation. So there are risk factors that these big companies needs to consider first, before jumping on the bandwagon. They don't just easily invest because of the pandemic. But we can go and have a bright future without them.
7137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why The FBI Aren’t That Big On Bitcoin on: July 19, 2020, 09:20:28 PM
Isn't it they are already on bitcoin? they shutdown Silk Road and then the BTC-e case? So I'm sure big brother is watching every our move here, and I wouldn't be surprised if they are already building a case against the Twitter hacker. But to shutdown bitcoin, it will take more than that, they need the power of US Congress to technically help them.
7138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jeff Horn vs. Tim Tszyu on: July 19, 2020, 08:47:40 PM
No offense to Tim Tszyu but it seems that he still has raw talent and hasn't face a fighter with experience as Horn. And that is why they are calling Tim Tszyu boring, because raw talent and needs some sharpening so this is a step up match for him. So this is really one one hell of a match. Horn will used his experience and go rough with this kid, maybe used his old dirty tactics to distract and throw Tim off balance and give him the all the "love" he can take. Maybe those who voted for Tim can't get over the fact that Horn beat Pacman. Grin

It's because he is still very young with just 15 fights under his belt as compare to Jeff Horn who has faces lot of elite boxers like Pacquiao and Crawford. But Tim Tszyu has some KO power that could offset Jeff Horn's experience. So there is a big probability that Tim Tszyu kay KO Horn. Jeff Horn didn't beat Pacquiao, it was the judges who favour him. And this is what his comment on being an underdog in this fight,

Quote
"I am shocked at the odds. I can't believe that I am that much of an underdog for this fight but I love being an underdog. It makes me fight I think to that next level - and it being a stadium fight added to that. All of these things are a mix of me having my greatest victories and this is going to be one of them," said Horn.

7139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has "Decentralization" become a buzz word these days? on: July 18, 2020, 10:45:16 PM
Do you think mainstream crypto companies, and startups are making bad use of the term "decentralized"? Are people worldwide being fooled by these same entities? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley

At certain point, it seems that crypto buzz word are totally misunderstood and being used by companies as their selling point without really understanding the real meaning behind it. And as you can see in the altcoin market, there are a lot of coins that are really decentralized, and then trying to sell them, but they are a complete opposite. Not only projects but crypto related companies as well, third parties and others that really wanted to join the revolution and be part of it and of course to make money.
7140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter hacked account. Details about what really happened on: July 18, 2020, 10:20:02 PM
Also goes to show that Twitter has some kind of backdoor panel that can really access any accounts regardless if you have 2FA. And maybe the hackers have somewhat other plans besides using bitcoin, to look for data because the hacks not just involved crypto personalities, but those people political people and rich and billionaires. And that is why the FBI is stepping into the picture to investigate this further.
