Let's just wait in what will happen if their gonna shake the market of bitcoin and we can hit the $16,500 again let's just see if what might happen because in my opinion bitcoin will still go beyond that and hit $20,000 and more I really think there are many factors in the price of bitcoin and the wallstreet is one of it rather than thinking about the banning on South Korea let's think that many investors would still want o invest for bitcoin and that's gonna pump the value again.

There are possibilities that other coins may take over bitcoin but that would be in the many years to come, Bitcoin might have some issue in resistance but this doesn't mean that it will surely be drop and other coins may take over, And even though many people are now into Altcoins this doesn't mean that that same investors doesn't have hodling any bitcoin like myself I got 75% with bitcoin 15% with fiat 5% in Ethereum and a 5% with Electroneum but that number is changing because Cryptos can be unpredictable in price.

Yup, Bitcoin supply is just finite and the maximum supply we can get is 21,000,000 BTC, And right now the circulating supply is 16,800,050 BTC we can be sure if there is an ending process for mining bitcoin and if the supply of bitcoin is infinite then it will be worthless and will be rejected by the network that is why it is had a certain amount of supply that can be mined, But the number of value of bitcoin is not defined yet and yet to be stabilize, For OP if you really want to invest with bitcoin you are not too late yet and you can still catch up and start by earning with other coins, there are still hope on other cryptocurrency. |

- i still am not convinced this is the end of the bull run. i even say it may be the start of a new dawn of bull runs. - in any case if it were the end of it, the bear market can last at least a year. - that is the problem with altcoins, there is a lot of them and none of them stand out! which one are you going to choose? if you say ... i will give you at least 50 others that outperform it each time in short term. there are obviously a couple on top due to their HUGE supply but the performance-wise there are a lot of them that give a much better profit. Yup! I agree this will be just the momentum for bitcoin to make another bullish run, just wait for it and it will make it to $20,000, And does the price of bitcoin wittered down to the $14,000 USD, It is just having a hard time with the resistance because of the hype on other coins, And the news over the South Korea and Russia banning bitcoins transaction is all over the internet, And with the main stream media's news that scammers are using bitcoin for their gains are causing bitcoin to take a comeback, There are many things involve in bitcoin price resistance. |

you buy bitcoin when it is low and has not yet risen. lets say back in 2015 when price is stable like today with <10% fluctuations @$220.
you buy $1000 worth of bitcoin which is 4.54BTC. now price goes up in the next rally to $502 (2015-11-5) which gives you the vibes of a correction. you sell your bitcoin for $2,279 and wait for the correction to end (basically the idiots to get flushed out) then you take your $1000 and make your exit and then buy back what you sold. 3.87BTC @$330 with the $1,279 pure profit and $1000 cash in your pocket (exit).
rinse and repeat, change things around such as keeping profit in bitcoin not in fiat (6.90BTC instead).
Yup! I have never exited my bitcoin too, It is always good to hold on to your bitcoins, But when I had a chance in converting it to fiat when the value is down like when the price pump up to the $18,000 USD I had converted my bitcoin to fiat then when the price went down suddenly to $14,000 value I then buy bitcoin so I can accumulate bitcoin by doing so, But yes this is very unpredictable and I was just lucky in doing this, And for OP I really think there isn't an exit strategy you just need to trust in bitcoin and read the movements thoroughly if the price could end up dipping. |

I believe it is not so alarming even if the price of bitcoin had a resistance it doesn't dip so much the price is still great even though ETH is at $1300 right now it is safe to say that bitcoin is still staying with a huge value, I really think there is chance that we can see another bullish movement this year just like what happen in the October up to the November 2017.

Well A lot of people right now doubting and doesn't have faith in bitcoin anymore that it can make a big come back, And a lot of investors was scare of the increasing fees on the transaction after every increase bitcoin did, And I think a lot here have heard of the lightning network that would solve that problem, But that is not implemented yet but let's just hope it really solves that issues, And I am positive that we can reach the $50,000 this year I can not tell when but this year can be a sure speculation for that value.

Are you under 18?If you are under 18,you might face diffculties trading cryptocurrencies,because most crypto exchange platforms will require ID verification.Anyway,i never told my parents that i`m trading bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and i`m happy with my decision.Now,i`m financially free and i don`t care about their opinion for the way i use my savings. He maybe is underage but a fresh start won't really hurt and a great one too, Because I think it is better to start in bitcoin now than to wait for your parent approval and it is a fresh start in investing with Altcoins because of their fast movement and pump so far, I think you didn't have to convince your parents in what you are doing right now they can surely realize it in the end when you are earning more in cryptocurrency. |

Do one thing. Sell some and take out your initial investment so that you need not to be worry about it at everytime and you can HODL this for a year. It is currently not on any big exchanges so you might want to keep it for king term.

I think OP is talking about the ranking on the Coinmarketcap but yes this 2 coins are different from each other and nobody can replace the other, I really think that Ethereum was doing a great job in gaining more market cap and almost catching up with bitcoin even though the price of bitcoin exceeds the ETH price, But yes this is the 2 leading Cryptos that you can surely make an investment that will profit. |

We'll probably dip down to 8-9k, but end the year around 20-25k
Well, who knows? With the formation I am seeing on the charts now though, I feel we are on the way to the next drop zone and $11000 may be a very good buy and a very strong support. However, like I said, no one knows and it may fall lower than that. Nevertheless, for long positions, no one should ever miss that spot as probably after that, we may start seeing the bulls on the match, set to go. OP is stating the end of this year that means we had a lot of months to see to it that bitcoin price will be on the $20,000 or more than that Let's say $50,000 for this year, I can sense that bitcoin will be having a hard time in moving a fast pace of a bullish trend but it will not just dip and dip because of its competitors, I should say let's just be patient and hold because winter is coming. |
