7141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Market's Future without all Cryptocurrencies? on: July 16, 2018, 09:29:14 PM
This billions of dollars now that are in the market of crypto could be anywhere else.
Commodities might get a larger percentage of it before mutual funds and other with just banks for there will be no more option.
1 percent annual and just live adding more savings.
I guess I will just risk it with Gold and S&P. Dont want to get old just keeping in banks with just a little interest.
7142  Economy / Economics / Re: Why exchanges do not pay interest? on: July 16, 2018, 08:12:56 PM
There are no exchanges that pay interest for your cryptocurrency in today's market conditions and i don't think they need to pay as they are not similar to the banking services where people get interest on the annual or monthly basis. I think if there is anything serious about interest rates then you can expect the interest charge to be levied in upcoming months.

Well the money i have in a bank are on a termless deposit.
They are there for unlimited amount of time.
Yes, the interest is the smallest one compared to 6 months or 1 year term deposit.
But there is still an interest.

I'm not a financial guru, but I know that banks use
it's customer's money to do all type of investments,
loans and trading from which the bank is making a profit.

To pay you for giving them this opportunity,
they pay you an interest.

If we accept that crypto stored in an exchange for unlimited term,
then it is very logical that you should receive some % of
the exchange's profit. You are basicly funding the exchange.

Yes, banks charge you for keeping you account alive, which exchanges don't.
However banks have physical offices, a website, ATMs, they issue cards, they pay taxes
they have 24/7 support and they insure your money.
And still they pay you interest.

Exchanges have just a single website with a support and no interest.

Hey, maybe it's an idea for a new era crypto exchange Wink

If someone likes my idea, I'll be happy to share the rest
of my toughts on this.

It is you who are invested already. Why do they need to pay you anything else. Besides, you are going to a wrong idea here.
You should not keep those coins with them. That is the basic rule of one investor or a holder. Keep it in a cold wallet if you are going to leave it for a long time.

You get something with the fluctuation of the coin and it is the same with them.
They get just a little amount for those who will trade and it could be just the altcoin you are trading which you will pay for.
They will hold it too in case of a bull.

Both are at risk, so why should I pay you if I am the exchange. I will run out of money if I do that.
7143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: July 16, 2018, 11:53:02 AM
With all those happenings at the West, East conference seems kinda left out. Most likely the best teams are concentrated on the West and because of that East seems a way less interesting. Well, Top3 at the East are definitely Celtics, 76ers and Raptors. I am not sure who would be able to fight for Top3 with them. Wizards are looking pretty interesting though... I think they will end in first 5.

That is just top 3 of the season and it is different when it comed to the playoffs.
Cleveland fought Indiana at 4-3 while Raptors was swept.
It depends on how hard they will play on the playoffs and rankings wont matter anymore.

They might be preparing for the fight against the West but they will need to finish the East first.
I will vouch for 76ers and Indiana this time although when Irving and Hayward is back it will also be a strong Celtics.

Toronto? They played like beginners although they have fought with Cavs last time. They even benched DeRozan which is questionable.
They are happy now because Lebron left the East, there will be great competition among teams as the cavaliers will no longer dominate them.
I think the move of Lebron is nice to face bigger challenge in the West, this guy is consistently going into the Finals and it would be a big task for him now that he is in the west.

It will be better if he can get the WCF.
That way it might get easier to their team to get the NBA championship facing anyone in the East.
That is if they can get over Houston and GSW which have been dominating the West.
I dont expect too much for the Lakers to go way beyond it since the roster is overhauled. They might need 1 more year. Problem is the if the line up will just get 1 year each. They really need chemistry when they are playing with Lebron.
7144  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do people look at the dollar value of a coin instead of the Satoshi value? on: July 15, 2018, 11:56:36 PM
True.
Which is wrong.
It should not be converted over and over to USD. That is the problem now with most of the investors.
They are stating they bought bitcoin with USD before buying a certain altcoin so it should also be converted to USD.
They think the value of it comes from that. It is just a mere price that says how much it is. The true value comes from the project within the altcoin.

There are still altcoins which are undervalued now because of that.
7145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: wasted 3-4 months in bounty and at end got nothing ?? on: July 15, 2018, 01:19:06 PM
This is the main mistake of bounty hunters they are expecting so much remember if the ico will not reach softcap no bounties will be distribute because project don't have funds.

Very true.
It is like a bidding. When no one bids or their capital for their project then how can they distribute the bounty?
It is a risk that a bounty hunter should take. I have seen numerous of users here with the same dilemma.

Do not expect too much. Get more knowledge about the ICO you will be joining to avoid this kind of regrets.

7147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be contented with what you have on: July 14, 2018, 07:11:29 PM
Slow and steady they say wins the race. Do not be in a haste to make it big in the crypto world. There is never a shortcut to success. Be contented with whatever you gain at every point in time.
Do not look down on yourself because you see others make it big. A drop of water makes a mighty ocean.
Your gain might seem to be small today.
Your portfolio might not look so big.
Just in a moment and with little more patience, your portfolio will see the brightest light and be filled above your imaginations.

A problem I mostly see here.
They want it fast, they want quick money and see that profit in USD already. Never even tried to support the token they bought.
They just buy and think of it as if it will grow without doing anything.
Even plants needs to be watered and sunshine for it to grow and you will have to be patient to see the fruit from it.
It takes time and effort.
They think just because bitcoin jumped from a low price to a higher one, then it could happen over and over again and also to other tokens.
7148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: July 14, 2018, 06:26:41 PM
Kingkong's Lakers has no match with the GSW. Kawhi will be the sixth man of GSW!
Hahaha, you just made my day.

Regardless if he has a match or not to GSW, this season is another exciting and one of the most awaited.
The warriors don't need Leonard anymore, they are the best team in the NBA and with the addition of cousins, that makes them unbeatable.
I believe whatever team Leonard will land, there is gonna be a big adjustment and they still have no match with the Champs.
They are stronger than before and they don't want other teams to outsmart them in terms of roster build up.

I know how Warriors are strong enough but the ball is round and although we are expecting the same result again for this season still, let's wait.
With their starting team of five all-star players, I think they are definitely the best one yet but we will see when the season finally comes again. Right now they’re composition is definitely hard to be but I know they can still be beaten with the right plays  by the right team.
They are the best one because they are the crowd favorite but I wouldn't ignore other teams as well.

This is the exciting part of NBA, you get to see the best but we are not seeing those teams that are going to surprise us.
I think its enough for the Warriors discussion now and lets go to the Eastern Conference  Cheesy Cheesy

Who do you think will be the best players on the east?? Now that Lebron is on the Western Conference right now, the best picks for now is Kyrie (if he will stay healthy in the whole season), Demar and the Greek Freak Antetokoumblah blah I cant spell his surname Cheesy. Maybe add Oladipo also on them.
I don't think much about who is the best player in East what I think is who is the strongest in the East right now. Boston and Sixers will surely dominate since Lebron leave the East and Cavs isn't competitive enough without him.

Don't forget about Indiana Pacers who almost won the the playoffs against the Cleveland. This team is still building and going stronger. But I dont know now since they lost Lance Stephenson. Maybe they want some space in their cap for a new addition of a better player.
Since West is getting stronger players who wants to have a shot at a championship might go to the East to take it.

Oladipo as their new all star player might make some changes with his game too making him more fearsome in how he plays.
He just needs to better that outside game since he is already good with his penetration.
They have Turner too. They just need a wing man of Oladipo for outside shots.

7149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: SECRET OF TRADING on: July 14, 2018, 06:14:55 PM
Should've made an example and that is bitcoin.
A reliable coin which have a good fluctuation and can easily make some money out of it.
New ones tend to risk it with a recently finished ICO which just hit a good trading website. That is already a risky move which could make some loss.
If you do not know yet what length of fluctuation it could give then do not just go jumping in.
Example also is Ethereum. I have seen it go back and forth from 400 to 500 USD. Just a large amount of it can give you 50 to 100 USD of profit per Ethereum.
7150  Economy / Economics / Re: Paper Money - The Greatest Scam on: July 14, 2018, 04:14:19 PM
I understand what you are trying to say about inflation for they could just recreate paper over and over again.
But dont we see that now with all the crypto currencies that are being used? There is too much number of different coins by now.
People. They play God. They want to create too.
Look at how the value of every crypto coin goes down. Why? Investors dont know where to go. Hell! They dont even know what is the oroginal anymore because of copies.
7151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you know that 25% of all Bitcoins are lost? on: July 14, 2018, 07:07:11 AM
According to Jameson Lopp, a former BitGo and current CasaHODL engineer over 4 million Bitcoins (over 25% of current circulation) are lost.

Source: https://coincodex.com/article/2018/jameson-lopp-estimates-4-million-bitcoin-are-lost-forever/
I have read from several sources for a long time that more than six million bitcoins are considered lost. Here the figures are clearly understated and obsolete. In principle, how can you accurately calculate the number of already lost bitcoins. It is clear that this figure will always be approximate.
You do realize that the research is based on the addresses being used. According to them my 2014 wallets are probably lost, because I haven't made a single transaction since I bought the coins. I'm sure a lot of coins is lost, but estimating that it's 4 million or 6 million based purely on activity is stupid.
Don't underestimate the hodlers Wink

Yes there is no correct number for this.
There might be still holders who are just not doing any transactions until now.

Wherever they get that number it is a total of a non moving bitcoin which is not an accurate idea to tell people. They should input that is just a wild guess.
Although, it is good for me. I dont know about the other holders. It means greater value in the future. That is what they dont see until now. Next time it will just be satoshis that they will be talking about on how valueble per sats is. Grin
7152  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your plan for 2019 on: July 13, 2018, 09:04:16 PM
There is never a late comer when it comes to crypto trading.
You cannot go back to the past so prepare for the future by using the present.
Use it as it is and do not think of regrets that you haven't joined before all of this happens.

There is still big fluctuations happening. Hell! If you ask traders they will still say it is risky to trade. Why? Because of that bear and bull that is unpredictable. That means profit if you know how to do it. Research first.
7153  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be calm when the market falls on: July 13, 2018, 08:10:44 PM
One strategy that works best in times of fall in the market is to remain calm, and not allow yourself to be blown by panic. Just hold the tokens with large caps and even if possible, buy more tokens and hold. For some coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum, it is always certain that whenever there is a fall, there is definitely going to be a rise.

What will you do when the market falls?

Can you still do that when you have a large amount in your wallet?  Grin
I dont think so. One thing I know that works very well. That is too never lean on what you invested for your daily needs.
Create a new budget for your daily living. Let go of the investment you did and think of it as a savings. You does not need to be calm or in panic when you have that state of mind.
Bear or bull, you wont care because you know you can still live with the money that you are making paid by the company.  Grin
7154  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Globalization on: July 13, 2018, 07:25:36 PM
Globalization was told for a very long time. Probably, this will be a new stage in the development of our civilization. This is a new form of human interaction. Perhaps the whole world will be without defenders and borders, without taxes and barriers. Bitcoin will take in such a world a worthy place of the world currency. Developing new technologies will help create a more developed society where there are not very magazine and very poor. Regulation will occupy cars, they are not expensive for the corrupt. We need a new world, it is perhaps a new and unified religion, which will affect all of humanity ... no longer warms, humanity can be really civilized. What do you think all about it? Maybe Bitcoin is part of the globalization plan?

I do think so that it will be part of the future.
But, that new world with unified religion. It will not do. It will not happen. The traditional way have been rooted to the children and it will happen over and over again.
There could be peace but religion aside.
There could be one currency but still religion aside.
We could all accept one money but it should lead to one government in which could not happen in this time too.
When it will happen? Maybe never. But one thing I understand. The internet could be one world and one currency which bitcoin is a part of.

Cousins is the biggest dumbass joining the gsw. Earning only a minimum for a superstar like him does not fit his payrate. Sacrificing his earnings for the sake of a championship is not a good idea to begin with.

Totally agree. There're tons of legends without a ring. He's going to go into record as a ring "buyer".

How can you say he is a dumbass and how can the other one agree with it?
Try to look at the history of injuries and Cousins caught one which goes back over and over.
That is why no one wants him. It is not a ring buyer. There is just no choice. He should just be thankful that GSW offered him something even with a low salary or he will be left in the free agency.
That is how it is and other teams dont want to risk it. GSW somehow will try to get some game with him even if they know it is a long shot.
7156  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The hard Truth on: July 12, 2018, 11:29:03 PM
Throughout my trading education(self-learning) most contents I read or watch regarding crypto trading states it point blank that "about 90% of crypto traders lose their funds"in the cause of trading.

This has somehow made me lose interest in learning to trade. Does this mean, that as a new trader or even the professionals have a marginal percentage of being successful in crypto trading? if your answer is no, then I guess there is rules or ethics you abide by that has made you successful in most of your trading.

I would be glad if members could share with us some of their tips and guides they've adopted in trading. I think good submissions will be of help to most people in this forum.

Thanks in advance!

Well maybe they jumped in without any knowledge about it.
Where did you hear that 90 percent loss? I think that is too much.
Whoever told that to you might be FUDing and just want you to buy that cheaper coin telling stories that it already went down.

If I were you I wont listen much to those kinds. Pessimistic types.
Do your own research then risk at your own.
7157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: July 12, 2018, 09:50:52 PM

That is why Cousins also took that 5m deal. His agent might be in panic for no team wants him because of the injury.
I am guessing GSW management just want to use him for some game.
30 games for 5m could be enough.  Grin and it is just a one year contract. He might be a star but the injury will still make other management fear it would come back. And yes it will.

As of that Paul Pierce quote.
He is right. That way he could also preserve his stamina by going half court without dribbling the ball. Make himself an off guard again or a small forward. Stay low and do some perimeters. Let Rondo do the passing, he is good with it.

Cousins really want a max contract from any team once free agency hit. He really aimed for that but because of the injury and I think less offer now from other teams unlike prior to injury where he is one of the most targeted player next season, he now accept a small deal. Max contract then only few games will played this season? Cheesy Really a waste of salary space unless a team that will offered that truly believes that Boogie will be deadly in the upcoming season.

But who knows, that small deal may take him into his first finals appearance or probably a championship if Golden State Warriors can make it again. He just have to play good whatever it takes once he recovered so a better deal will be offered to him next season.

True. Showcase his skills and let them know that Achilles shot is not going to bother him and he can be healthy all season.
He knows it, his agent knows they wont get any good offer this year.
He wont accept that deal if they knew it was not that bad.

Now GSW got two players with injuries going back and forth.
Cousins and Curry.
7158  Economy / Economics / Re: hackers becoming smarter than exchanges? on: July 12, 2018, 12:30:51 PM
Well most of us here are already aware of the hacking activities of binance and bancor. They are taking practical measures to track down the culprits but the question on my mind is why could coincidentally both exchanges be hacked? Now it appears that the exchanges are not moving at a faster and innovative ways to upgrading their systems and allow these hackers time to study their systems well, identify the loop holes and cause the problem. In my opinion, exchanges should always move in an unpredictable way so as to always confuse these scammers .The scammers are scaring new investors away and this must stop.Exchanges must be up and doing so that we can attract new investors into cryptocurrency else our efforts are going in vain to attracting new investors.

I do have some thoughts about this.
Why the sudden series of hacking? Coinrail, bancor and binance.
I am sometimes pessimistic and when coinrail was hacked I thought it could be an inside job. Then bancor and binance happened which made me have some thoughts again.

It could not be because of cheap security measure since binance can pay for that.

Think about it. Billions ot dollars in crypto market. Who would not attack that if you know how to.
I am looking at a larger scale of hackers now. They are getting populated and computer courses are easy to finish now.

I guess exchanges should just keep on getting better than them. Hire the best when it comes to security.
7159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Finally I am Victim Now! Myetherwallet got Hacked on: July 11, 2018, 11:47:51 PM
If it was just e-mail which had been hacked then it is impossible. You didnt save your private key anywhere your email right? Or try to send it to yourself so that you can open it anywhere?

If that is not the case then the possible hack may came from a rental shop. Have you tried to open your etherwallet account in other computer?

If it is still not the case then there is no way the hacker have gotten into you. You may have synced something with your gmail account. Once that is done anywhere you open google chrome with your gmail logged in will see all the browsed pages and the cache.

That is the only culprit that I know.
7160  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crash recoveries are not moons on: July 11, 2018, 10:41:23 PM
Then dont mind them.
It is their opinion and if it is a good thing then why not just take it.
Is this FUD or are you in one telegram group which speculates the market? If that is the reason then get out of there. Simple as that.
I love how they take it as a good sign. It means they are still optimistic with the crypto market instead of wasting time making FUD and other foolish predictions.
