7141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To save bitcoin - stop buying bitcoin cash on: May 06, 2019, 04:33:02 PM
Let the market decide the value of Bitcoin. If Bitcoin is the best coin out there, then neither BCH nor BSV will be able to negatively impact upon its exchange rates. And the crypto-users will always go for the coins which are more profitable to them. The same can be said about the miners as well. Calls for boycott are never going to work.
7142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am done with KYC on: May 06, 2019, 03:59:33 PM
So what does this mean?that those who asked for KYC is scammers and only gathering details of participants to use for their personal interest
Maybe they will use for social.media groups or for email details to gathers.money from dev who are looking for real person subscribers

What you said is always a possibility, but we can't generalize them all. At least some of the ICOs ask for genuine KYC information, as it is mandatory in those countries where they are based (South Korea is an example). But it is irritating when some campaigns never mention about the KYC in the start and then make that mandatory to receive the rewards.
7143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding multiple altcoins on: May 06, 2019, 03:56:47 PM
I am storing most of my altcoins / tokens in exchange wallets and MEW. I know that it is not a very safe option, to hold the coins in exchange wallets. But it is not always practical to install the desktop wallets for all the alts. I have never heard about these opensource multiwallets. To be honest, I am a bit afraid to use them. Can someone confirm that they are 100% reliable?
7144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you buy lottery online in bitcoin payment? on: May 06, 2019, 03:53:33 PM
In the past, I have used credit cards to purchase lottery tickets (MegaMillions, PowerBall, Super EnaLotto.etc). But the sites that I had used never had an option to make the payments in BTC. I will be very happy if the payments can be made in BTC. But at the same time, they should make sure that there will be no legal complications because of that.
7145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion on: May 06, 2019, 03:49:46 PM
Here is my prediction for the playoffs and finals:

Qualifier 1: MI vs CSK: MI win, since CSK is not in great form
Eliminator: DC vs SRH: Win for DC
Qualifier 2: DC vs CSK: Win for DC

Finals: DC vs MI: MI wins the tournament.
7146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 06, 2019, 03:47:09 PM
As expected, this was a cake walk for England due to a bad bowling effort by Pakistan. Archer carried his great form from IPL into the match while Morgan seems to be in excellent touch. Nothing surprising at all.

Tom Curran also bowled really well. Perhaps the selectors may get unhappy about the performance by Archer, as they had overlooked him for the world cup squad. On top of that Willey's performance was not that great. But they can always justify their choice by saying that ODI is different from T20 and also they can argue that Pakistan is a relatively weak team.
7147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 arrested in Bangladesh for merely trading Bitcoin on: May 05, 2019, 01:10:49 PM
They were not just "mere traders of Bitcoin" but they did something that is not right and against the laws.

Do you have any proof for this? These guys were merely being involved in fiat-crypto trading. They were not involved in any other criminal activity. They were arrested because Bitcoin is banned in Bangladesh and trading in Bitcoins is a criminal offense. Yes.. they did something that is against the laws. But what can you do if the laws themselves are stupid?
7148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The ugly side of Bitcoin on: May 05, 2019, 01:07:32 PM
Energy generation is getting more greener these days, with renewable energy sources such as solar energy, tidal energy and wind energy increasing their proportion with every passing year. It is not like fiat energy is environmentally friendly either. Printing all the bank notes and minting the coins requires a lot of paper/pulp and metals.
7149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meet the Wealthiest People in Crypto on: May 05, 2019, 01:04:49 PM
I really doubt whether this list can be accurate. If you own a huge amount in crypto, then for practical purposes you will try your level best to hide that fact from anyone. Admitting this may attract unwanted attention from the criminals. However, the anonymity will be lost once the holder try to convert his coins to fiat through the exchanges.
7150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All about bounty payments and its effect to the project on: May 05, 2019, 12:24:34 PM
Bounty hunter are getting the coin after their hardwork.so they just want to encargó their money. They just 3 to 5 % of total supply so i dont think they are solely responsible for dumping. But from crypto ecosystem the bounty hunter must be motivated by giving Them in form of usd or btc itself. They feel good And help the project to reach to mass
Even out of the 3-5%, we might still have only 1-2% being dumped while the rest are still with the many hunters that decide to hold for better price or just so because they believe in the project. But hunters are to blame for it.

You are being too generous. Usually the bounty pool is just 1% to 2% of the total budget. Even if we take the upper limit (2%), just 1% of the tokens will be dumped on average (provided that half of the bounty hunters hold on to their coins). If the prices crash due to the dumping of this 1%, then I would say that project is worthless.
7151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safe Bounty hunters on: May 05, 2019, 12:18:00 PM
Another forum participants are looking for fraud/scam with ICO and publish their investigations in this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0. And DT2 give the red trust ANN topic starters and bounty managers after such information.

This is also not going to work. The scammers usually don't have account here in BT. So usually they hire someone to post the ANN thread, or create a junior level account. Even if the DT members tag the account, it is not going to affect them. They will just hire someone else or create another account. That's why despite all these investigations, we are still having scams.
7152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All altcoins without proof of work will be destroyed on: May 05, 2019, 12:13:23 PM
I am not going in to an argument to prove PoW is better than PoS or vice-versa. But we have a decentralized, unbiased and free market, and the market conditions, demand and merit will decide which one of these coins will survive. Just because you don't like PoS, it is not fair to kill all such coins (which is not possible for you anyway).
7153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion on: May 05, 2019, 12:10:16 PM
In the first match today, CSK as usual going with their slow run rate in the power play. After 6.4 overs they scored 48 by losing one wicket. CSK will have a win here which I am positive about.

Everything was going right for CSK when Suresh Raina and Faf du Plessis were batting. They got out in quick succession and then as usual the middle order started wasting the balls. Dhoni ended up with 10 runs from 12 balls, which is not acceptable in a T20 match. Not very good signals for CSK ahead of the playoff matches.
7154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Indian Govt thinks Bitcoin is a ponzi scheme on: May 05, 2019, 11:16:31 AM
During 2017-18, the Indian Income Tax department sent notices to hundreds of thousands of individuals, who were suspected of dealing in crypto-currency. Here in India, the bureaucracy and red tape is so prevalent, that the recipients had to spend a good amount of money out of their pocket to hire CAs and send the reply. Almost every crypto exchange based in India was forced to shut down the operations.

Is that still the case? How many exchanges do you have left there?

All the Indian exchanges are closed. A few of the users have registered on exchanges such as Bitfinex and Bitstamp, but most of them are using P2P trading sites such as localbitcoins. But the government is cracking down on the P2P sites as well, by tracing the bank transactions. The risk is always there, in case you want to convert your coins to cash.
7155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: May 05, 2019, 11:13:48 AM
After their good showing against England, Ireland are back to their old ways. West Indies is performing really well, considering the fact that more than half of their squad is away in India, playing the IPL. The Irish bowling looks quite clueless, with both the pacers as well as the spinners going for the runs. John Campbell and Shai Hope batting really well, which can present a dilemma to the selectors once Gayle is back.

7156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How safe is Bitcoin gambling on: May 05, 2019, 11:08:26 AM
Hello friends

How safe is bit coin gambling is it worth?
If yes and than how to play and where to play?
can now make a living on this gambling?
waiting for your opinions guys.

hope all good. Wink

No one can ever make a living on gambling. That's my opinion and I don't personally know anyone who managed to save a good amount of money by going gambling. And regarding the safety of using Bitcoin for gambling, you need to remember that no method is 100% safe. The risks can come from multiple sources. The first risk is that the gambling site can vanish with your money. And the second one comes from the authorities who can track back your transactions to you, in case gambling is illegal in your country.
7157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 05, 2019, 11:03:36 AM
Some people just don't get it. They act like they know everything and fail to do proper research. They are acting like the commonwealth is one part of the world and the rest of the world is another part.

Hilarious indeed. They probably were never interested in Cricket to begin with which is why they make these wild and silly statements.

Obviously you can't compare cricket with a sport such as Football. For example, football is being played in all the continents by almost all the UN members. To be fair, cricket is also played in more than 80 nations, but in most cases these "national" sides are 100% composed of expat Indian and Pakistani players. You can check cricket teams such as UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia.etc, which don't have a single citizen as a player.
7158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion on: May 05, 2019, 10:56:49 AM
CSK in some trouble against KXIP. Shane Watson failed once again, after wasting a few balls. He scored a total of 258 runs, at an average of 18.42 and a S/R of 124, while playing all the 14 group matches. CSK should seriously think about replacing him for the playoffs. Anyway, I don't think that anyone is going to bid for him during the next round of auctions.
7159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which wallet to use? on: May 04, 2019, 02:25:07 PM
Which perks and features should one look for in a wallet?

Thanks in advance

If I were you, I'd be looking for the following features:

1. The ability to export the private key
2. The ability to set the transaction fee by yourself
3. Availability of 2FA
4. Positive reviews from the crypto users
5. Ability to store multiple crypto-currencies
6. Ease of use
7. Friendly UI
8. Mobile friendly
9. Extra protection from hackers
10. Based in a country where the services are legal

(the top 3 are the most important ones).
7160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Should I Expect The Next Bull Run? on: May 04, 2019, 02:20:19 PM
It is always difficult to predict the big price movements in crypto. But for me, such events seems to be associated with the block reward halving. Back in 2012 we had the first block reward halving. And one year later, we were having the first bull run. The same thing happened after the second block reward halving of 2016. So I would say that we can expect the next one by 2021.
