7161  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can u turn 25$ to 5000$ in 6 months trading cryptos? on: July 12, 2017, 12:55:03 PM
Is it possible to turn 25$ to 5000$ trading cryptos for 6 months?
In trading its really possible but only on small chances depending  on which coins you do trade. If you do trade on diversified way then it would be possible reaching that amount but on a long period of time depending on coins movement. If you are desperate then buy a potential coin on the lowest price as possible and might be lucky on that coin to be pumped out.
7162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: July 12, 2017, 12:02:53 PM
Investment is always the best choice when the other choice is to gamble. Even the gamblers, I'm sure that they will choose to invest. They know the capacity, the pros and cons in gambling but to be safe and have a decent way of living, they will choose to invest. This has been proven to give you better income and source of living.

Your words makes no sense at all, they are called as gambler because they choose to gamble instead of trying to be safe and invest. Some people might choose both however if the word is 'gambler' then Im pretty sure that the portion for gambling will always be alot higher then the portion that is used to invest

Yeah nothing is safer either of the two types of investments, whether gambling or a certain type of an investments, but much more dangerous if you're not sure and that is a ponzi scheme. With that type of an investments you really can't predict how faithful are they with and worst case is they might scam you for their own personal will. If in gambling it also prone of losing but luckily will win of there is a good chances to come.

Investing is never limited only to online world there are many legit places in real world where you can invest your money and can make good profits in long term for example you can invest your money in gold or real estate which will definitely give you good returns on your investments.

It depends, because not all of the investment in the real world it worth to invest to, for example is in the bank, it is not that good for me to invest to because in my opinion holding my bitcoin or investing my money to bitcoin is more profitable than this bank investment. But if we are going to compare bank investment to gambling, then I'm going to the bank investment because at least I know that I'm going get something in return from time to time.
Nope, I don't consider putting up money on banks as an investment but rather just as a savings but it does somehow have an interest but just a little percentage on what you have deposit. I don't consider it at all. Talking with investments which do give decent returns in your money and yes its indeed possible on bitcoin because of its price volatility but thinking off that theres always a risk on losing money that cause for us to earn some or lose some.
7163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: July 12, 2017, 10:39:14 AM
Gamble for fun or profit? Maybe both of them. I would have fun if i made some nice profit and when i lost all, i realize that gambling just for fun! Personally, i think most of people play for profit because when you gamble with high bet, you would be stressful, not really fun.

I agree, i gamble only for fun. If i win its good because i won money, if i lost it's still good because i had fun! Many people think of gambling as of sin, they think that gambling makes people addicted and that they only gamble for profit. Yes, gambling makes people addicted, but it don't mean that people can't play for fun only.
Theres really nothing wrong on playing gambling as long you do know how to control yourself on playing it because the risk of addiction is very high when you are exposed or you are playing it on a long period of time. It will really mold you up gradually as an addicted gambler which you aren't already aware that you are losing too much money. Gambling should treated as a pure entertainment not for making out money.
7164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where is it safe to store money? on: July 12, 2017, 09:18:57 AM
Hi,

Just wondering , is it safer to keep money at an exchange like place poloniex or kraken what not or a wallet like Electrum?

It is very neat to have it all in one place like an exchange, for example, I currently mine and use their address to deposit my earnings for bitcoin I used to give my Electrum address but now I'm thinking it's better to just keep them at one spot?

Pros and cons of one vs another?

TIA
Its never been safe to keep your coins or bitcoin all in on an exchange wallet the risk involved on losing those money is high since you don't really posses the privatekeys of it which means only exchange owners do have access which means whey they do down or a problem do rise they can anytime ran off with the money since you don't have the possession of keys which means you coins are lost forever unlike on those wallets that you do have access on its keys do always have an advantage.
7165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: July 11, 2017, 01:00:29 PM
I think the biggest disadvantages of bitcoin is the price is not stable, it keeps on fluctuating up and down.

So what are you proposing for bitcoin to happen? Bitcoin having a stable price will be impossible. The price of something will always fluctuate. Even the fruits and vegetables in a grocery store have a fluctuating price and their price is based on the supply. If the product is in season, then the price will be relatively low. Bitcoin is based on demand because the supply isn't increasing so much. To have a stable price, bitcoin also need to have a steady demand.

Or should bitcoin be just in upward trend so we can all make money from it? That's also impossible to happen. No market has nothing but more people having interest about it and buying more and more and never selling anything.
All prices do really move and theres no stability butt we cant compare the price of fruits and vegetables on bitcoin. Movements are too far away even on world currencies they do really differ in terms of volatility.  A healthy market do really have decreasing and increasing prices which we can able to see on bitcoin. Some may see its as an advantage and some sees it as an opportunity on earning money.
7166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When did you start gambling? (Because of BCT Promotion?) on: July 11, 2017, 11:08:47 AM
Before I play poker thru facebook and I sell the chips that I won but here in bitcoin I start by claiming faucet at their website and collect it so I can have balance others are giving a free tip.
This is an another way on playing gambling without too much using your own money but I don't really love on this kind of thing which I do ask for free tips. I feel like that I'm a beggar. Using bitcoin on gambling is really good and fast and because of bct promotion my knowledge about gambling and awareness of gambling sites existence extent even more.
7167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a problem gambler? on: July 11, 2017, 08:15:24 AM
Not at all because actually i've stop playing gambling now because of the reason that i have now work. And in the meantime i doesnt have time now to play gambling because am a working students. Anyways i have some time that i've become a problem gamblers when i was lossing high amount of money

May be it is better for you, to left gambling. Because now you are student and i don't like it when student spend their precious time in gambling, and also it is not a age OF play gambling. In this age you would be addicted and couldn't earn from gambling, only lose the money, just like you. So you choose a right way and left the gambling for a time, I am sure after some years when you will be young then start gambling, you would be a good gamble. But about me, in the started, i also couldn't manage myself in gambling but now with the passing time i have learn from gambling.
When you are a student its very risky to engage on gambling because possibilities on using the money you have is there which means it will mold up problems ahead. Addiction is really a serious problem once it hit to yourself and its really hard to get out once youre in it. Problem gambler isn't really a good term since we do have always a problem when we do play it which is losing money.
7168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Superstition on: July 10, 2017, 12:20:49 PM
I am not really a fan of superstition but it is always safer to follow these rules when you talk about gambling. One of the example is eating sushi before you gamble because the sound of sushi sound similar to lose to ''death''.
You are not fan but you did mention one example  Grin and I'm not familiar on that sushi thing but well we do have our own knowledge on some things. Even myself don't really consider these stuffs no matter how other people do told me about these things. Following them isn't bad at all but just a senseless thing since we wont know on when we would be lucky on playing gambling. No one could able to figure it out.
7169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What could possibly go wrong? Please, tell me :) on: July 10, 2017, 11:15:36 AM
--snipped--

Well I play poker in computer sometimes and poker requires some skill and luck in able to draw your best game out there. Like everyone's asking here what programming language did you use? We understand that if what you're thinking is " its not yet complete or its not that good ", then let us try the program. Its hard to give feedback if we don't experienced the program, and if you are worried about "what if someone stole your program and idea" then give us more detailed details in your project. Good luck.

I would love to let you try the program ! However, it would require a lot of effort from me, and too much (i assume) Python knowledge from you as well.

As tspacepilot accurately states though, i shared the language i used and the essential modules.

If you read the entire thread thoroughly and you have programming skills, you should easily be able to replicate, and perhaps even improve, what I am doing. It is quite simple actually, well, the idea is at least.

To those who might be interested:

After a lot of up and downs, with a peak balance of 0.0425 BTC, my poker balance is now 0.

I am not too worried that it's an indication of failure though.. After all, what happens if you open a casino with insufficient bankroll?

I am tempted to see how a full BTC fares, but I dont have that kind of trust in my own code.. Smiley

For now, I am using parts of my code to assist in "manual" poker.

I think the code will work though I am not a professional coder but I have dabbled a bit with it on my studies on college and I think the code will work with its simulations and its reading of the cards not sure tho whether it might be profitable in the long run.
It should do work but the main question is for how long? I do see the strategy is pretty interesting and simple to understand but chances of being busted is always there that is why I don't trust any codes which do someone claims that it works. Manual poker would be always be the best.
7170  Economy / Economics / Re: If you have a lot of bitcoin, should you spend it or save it? on: July 10, 2017, 09:57:14 AM
Let's say I have 2.1 BTC And I don't spend it. Will it go up a few cents if I save it? Cause in my wallet I have up to about 50 cents worth of bitcoin. I started up with 13 cents 7 months ago. Now all of sudden I have bitcoins worth 50 cents. What do you call this? I only made that one 13 cent deposit. Nothing else!
Its just a common sense thing for you to identify if is it worth to store bitcoin. Numbers would speak for itself already which you can able to see that price do really moves. Bitcoin is really worth to be stored and price volatility gives an advantage on making money on our side but theres always comes a risk on losing it. Volatility means ups and downs of the price which we would either both earn or burn  Grin
7171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What keeps you coming back??? on: July 10, 2017, 03:22:10 AM
This is called gambling addiction either you addicted to that particular game or money. So if you really want to come out of this addiction than the best thing is avoid using your computer and try to find some outdoor games which keeps you active than you may slowly lose your interest in online gambling.
Maybe the fact people are keep coming back to gambling is that either they wanna win more, wanna win what he loss or just wanna play for fun. Once you've enter something there is just the feeling of being hard to go out of it and that is what we call addiction. People who've entered gambling has really hard time going out of it.
That's the immediate response of people, that they recover their losses maybe from their previous games or something, it's just that they want to get back what they deserve to have but gambling your money, you should accept the faith if you lose, you lose and if you win, you win, that's how simple it is if you think about it. If you can't handle losses, then probably you shouldn't gamble because you know that you are going to be emotional.
Chasing loses is a common scenario that do happen on gambling ecosystem on which gamblers do have this kind of mentality after suffering on a defeat on their bets which they would really aim that they might won on the next bet and do somehow to recover loss but sadly most of them do gradually lose even more instead of winning it back which we can say that this kind of motive isnt really good for us when we do play gambling.
7172  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you manage ur emotions? on: July 09, 2017, 02:00:30 PM
Greetings!

While trading sometimes I drop back from my original plan. Such emotional decisions often bring loss cuz I tend to change orders on panic or when I mistakenly expect more potential income. How do you deal with that if you feel the same way?

In that case, we should remain and stay foot to our original plan. We must not be panic if ever it drops the price
so well, stay relax and ease until it will recover the original value or more.

agree, i think a hold-strategy and buy small amounts if rates temporary decreases is most profitable on the long term.
That's the way of scalping which is really good when you do know on what you are doing. Buying gradually in terms of dips might work or not for sometime because risk is always there we wont really know if it would pump or dump. Emotions is always been part of us when we do make tradings and we cant really avoid it since we are talking about our money here and we don't want it  to lose.
7173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a source of income? on: July 09, 2017, 10:43:25 AM
I made bitcoin my main income, and gave up my dayjob !

Even in bad times, i earn more than i need, or could aquire by regular work. (except in full crash scenario)
So far, so good. And i saved for hard times. Diversified. I´m not stupid, you know . . well, just a little  Smiley

Wow its amazing to know that you did quit your day work because of bitcoin and its really a serious thing that you done because quiting and switching to bitcoin is risky knowing the possibilities of crash into bitcoin but well its your own decision and even I would really do the same thing if I saw that I'm earning too much compared on my day job but at the same time diversifying would be always a good move too.

7175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How I made 1 BTC in one night from a gambling website on: July 09, 2017, 07:37:08 AM
I don't have any experience make one bitcoins in one night from a gambling website because there are no ways to make it at least in my experience, but if on here there are people who made one bitcoins in one night, that is just because of the lucky i am sure it will not be constant getting one bitcoins in one night, it is very difficult to getting it.
You haven't read the OP to well, dont you? We are not talking here about winning 1 btc on playing gambling in one night. He does mention that he did earn affiliate earnings for 1 btc on a single night which its really good. Your reply is irrelevant on the topic, better to read it carefuly than directly posting without knowing. Cheers. Cool
7176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When did you start gambling? (Because of BCT Promotion?) on: July 09, 2017, 06:27:56 AM
When did you start gambling online (and offline if you do not mind sharing)? Is it because of the awesome Games and Rounds forum at Bitcointalk?

Do you only start gambling after you use Bitcoin (or any other cryptocurrency) because you feel that you cannot be tracked?

I started gambling when i was new to Bitcoin, Faucet that time still pays Big amount and i want to multiply my faucet earning so i decided to play dice that time the most popular dice site was dadice.

Most of the newbies will start dice game with faucet money and slowly they will addict to these games and start depositing money to play this game. I also started with faucet money but didn't addict to this game. Now, I never play with faucet money but if I want to play then just I will deposit a small amount and play this game.
Most newbies do fall off first on playing dice games which we can commonly see this things here on cryptoworld which you would really jump in when you see some promotions  and out of curiosity too. Playing dice games is the most simpliest game among all just in my own opinion.Just like back in the past I'm still a gambler but when bct promotions pop out it gives more ways for me to play gambling even more.
7177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone ever tried medicine to control impulsive gambling? on: July 08, 2017, 12:40:44 PM
As for me and just my own opinion, I didn't even heard a drug or an existing drug that could cure gambling addiction. But in the other hand , it is only your own will if you still want to continue gambling or stop it for your own good. We can only suggest some tips or advises but in the end your the only ones making the final descision.
No medicine is better compared to our strong will and mind set-up because those medicines would be useless if your mind is still thinking about playing gambling which would really make the medication more harder on your side compared on the simple thing that we should be serious on quitting which is commonly start on ourselves and do motivate and set strong self discipline that you wont ever do gambling again.
7178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: ★▶XXX-JOI◀★ Cute girls on facebook earn 0.001btc or more! on: July 08, 2017, 06:01:56 AM
Just a waste of time and such a disgusting thing to do. I wont bother to create fake facebook account for just pleasuring someone on a very very low amount of bitcoin. I don't know if theres someone who did this kind of service. 0.005 wont really be worth it honestly speaking.
7179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to make sure you don't lose money on: July 08, 2017, 04:45:03 AM
How to make sure you don't lose money is self-explanatory i think. Because all of the gamblers know that gambling has a potential risk of burning your money. The only thing that can make sure that you dont lose money is dont be greedy, and control your asset better. knowing when to stop is also a good thing to use.
As stated gambling is all about risking our money for a bigger profit expectation. In this how it's possible to be on the safer side. If you want to be on the safe side, before getting into gambling just make clear about your gambling requirement and the affordability that it should not affect your living space. This is the only way, other than this without risk gambling won't be fun filled.
Its just really a normal thing on doing gambling on which the risk on losing money is there always and the ratio or risk compared to winning is high that's why at first place we should really be aware on this thing so that we can able to control our money and don't fall easily on getting addicted to it because once it would come to yourself that's the time that the possibility of getting poor is high.
7180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you set up limits for yourself? on: July 07, 2017, 03:13:14 PM
Setting limits when you gamble is good because you are lowering the risk of losing money. When i hit the target loss or target win i will stop from playing. It's a very good idea to all gamblers but most of the gamblers don't do it.
They wont really do it or most do fail because of their greed and which is a common thing that do exist on gambling field. Setting limitations would really help us out to minimize our lose and avoiding of getting wrecked on the end on which commonly happen on those greedy gamblers out there. Strong self control and discipline would be the key for us to avoid such addiction.
