7161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin fork cancel? on: November 08, 2017, 11:16:55 PM
Why Bitcoin fork cancel and this is frustrating bitcoin price is going down again.

Because it really didn't gain any support for the community. And even the most experienced members think that its gonna be messy at the beginning so its better to cancel it than implement segwit2x. We don't know the impact on the price, but we may see some minor drop because some of  the bitcoin traders will shift their capital to altcoin market once more. But we don't need to worry about it, its just a normal process.
7162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Verge XVG on: November 07, 2017, 01:03:44 PM
We would need a serious retrace plus a big pump from people moving their btc into xvg. I would say anything is possible but the chartwork seems to tell me that we wont see 500 sats until after the year is over.

After reading everyone's answer, I too think that 500 will not be possible this year.

Yes. I also consider that it won't go to 500 sat because its already reached it pinnacle before. Unless another P & D decided to choose it for their purpose, it will, but I would be surprise if it didn't because its already been pump before. As far as retrace, I don't know its really hard to see bitcoin traders going to XVG because for the same reason that they think this coins has already seen better days before.
7163  Economy / Economics / Re: Send bitcoin at 2011 on: November 07, 2017, 11:28:59 AM
Transaction throughput before still needs confirmation and my guestimate is that around 30 minutes or less is the average or not the fastest time that your confirmations get it. And the only difference as of today is the fee. Before its really cheap because bitcoin hasn't gain widely acceptance that time, however today there are a lot of users that's why you need to pay higher fees plus the difficulty to mine a block is also difficult as compare to 2011.
7164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to start investing with 1$? on: November 07, 2017, 09:44:20 AM
So here I am with about 1.5$ in my poloniex account today. What advice would you give me to make this 1.5$ into 150$ by the end of next year that is 2018?

Anyplace I could get to know about pump n dumps before they happen? Any particular cheap crypto that I should hold onto?

I don't think that your 1.5$ will not go further. Unless you bought some lucky coins and turn it to $150. You need to deposit more. Most likely a $100 will make you good dividends but not 1.5$. Just let it sit in that exchange. There nothing that you can do expect what I have told you. Sorry to tell you that.
7165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in bitcoin is more secure than investing in gold ? on: November 07, 2017, 09:01:30 AM
Is investing in bitcoin more secure than investing in gold ?
If you invest a lot of money in gold where to put it to be secure ?
In Fort Knox may be is secure. Or may be not ?
http://www.4thmedia.org/2013/04/16/federal-reserve-refuses-to-submit-to-an-audit-of-germanys-gold-held-in-u-s-vaults/

I think both has its advantage and strengths so I guess its really up to your which one do you prefer. If you prefer gold bullions I think there are banks are that willing to kept it for you, same as paper gold. If you go bitcoin, then a good wallet, like hardware for holding it long term will be good. So I guess it really depends which one do you prefer.
7166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: bounty for beginers on: November 07, 2017, 08:34:34 AM
how to play in bounty for beginners

I think this thread should be moved somewhere else as this is not the correct thread. So just to answer your query, I'm assuming that you want to join bounty programs if I'm not mistaken. You need to go to the altcoin bounty section and pick bounties that are currently open for your rank. But I don't know if newbies are accepted though, you need to be at least a jnr member to be able to participate in bounties.
7167  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Prediction The Highest Potential Crypto in 2018 on: November 07, 2017, 07:32:48 AM
What's Your Prediction the Highest Potential Crypto in 2018?
please give your opinion for investment reference

You still doubting bitcoin? Or are you looking for altcoins?

There is no doubt that bitcoin will remain the top crypto in 2018 and the momentum it got right now will just be carried over to the next year so it will still perform better if not better next year. As far as altcoin, Ethereum will remain in the top, because of ICO's while a few like BCH, Monero, Ripple and NEO will also perform good next year.
7168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Schools Are Officially Accepting Bitcoin for Tuition on: November 07, 2017, 06:31:24 AM
According to me, Switzerland's Larsen University accepted bitcoin for their arts and applied science department. Therefore, bitcoin should be used as a tuition fee for online universities in the world, so many student can know about it.

In my opinion, there is a proper method of payment of tuition fee payment trough bitcoin.

Yes, Switzerland has already started the trend, and it may be the new way of paying tuition fee in the future. What we should do is just want for several universities and online courses to began accepting bitcoin and if this happen, then its another step closer to adoption. However, in my country I haven't heard anyone that still accepting bitcoin as tuition fees so I still need to convert my bitcoin to fiat to be able to pay my kids tuitions.
7169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Giants E-commerce start to accept BTC? on: November 07, 2017, 05:25:44 AM
The E-commerce will start accepting bitcoin sooner because many new E-commerce that are coming up are running ICO. It means they will use cryptocurrency as a mode of payment and the existing E-commerce will see no option than to join them in accepting cryptocurrency.

If they are going to start, they should have started already because the price is really going up and for sure they would consider this whether to accept bitcoin or not. So I think that the likelihood of them accepting bitcoin now is very slim.

But I will remain very positive that amazon will start to accept bitcoin as payment. Because it they did that it will be just a matter of time before others will big retailers will accept it at all. We just need one big high profile retailer like amazon to start the trend and I'm sure that the rest will follow amazon.
7170  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's profit on: November 05, 2017, 10:50:55 PM
I would not talk about drug dealing nor weaponary because these are not considered legitimate businesses. So, for real estate and stock, I think bitcoin has surpass their profit on the life of a single individual. Bitcoin has shown that it has the capacity to be a money spinner other than stock which is very minimal in profiting an individual.

Stocks is already old school to me. Bitcoin is the new wave o making profits long term. But I have to disagree with the OP, you can't compare drug earnings and bitcoin earnings. Totally different market. Bitcoin has given us loads of opportunity to earn just by holding, I don't know if drugs can do that as well. I think the only thing that is closest as far as making profit yearly to bitcoin is real estate investment.
7171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin fork in december on: November 05, 2017, 09:03:57 AM
news is coming after b2x fork there is another  fork in december named with bitcoin silver what u think obout it?

I wasn't aware that there will be another fork in December, and now they are calling is silver? I mean what the hell is going on with the system right now? I think we need to put a brake to everything because everything looks good. There is no need for another coin to be in the market. Altcoins is already saturated already and there's no need to add another shitcoin that does not do anything but to make money out of the people who are pushing for it.
7172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Posting/Sharing gambling related topics & news in facebook on: November 05, 2017, 06:45:47 AM
Not posting or sharing by gambling exploits or related topic. Although I'm not ashamed of being a gambler, I just don't like people being nosy on my own business. And they know already that I frequent land based casinos so there will be no surprises from my friends. However, I also haven't post anything gambling related as far as bitcoin is concerned. I just want it that way though.
7173  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's profit on: November 05, 2017, 05:06:57 AM
I heard people said that Bitcoin's profit is higher than profit of drug dealer, weapon dealers or profit of real property or any kind of stocks. Is that real ?

Your question doesn't make sense to me. How come bitcoin profit is higher? Maybe you are talking about the marketcap of bitcoin or the total marketcap of cryptocurrency which is $200B right now. But bitcoin earnings and drug earning are not comparable, so I don't know where you get this wild idea of course.
7174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tezos Founders Sued for Securities Fraud in Potential Class Action on: November 05, 2017, 04:02:17 AM
This is a classic example of a good ICO in the beginning, however they all changed once large amount of investments comes in. The inner bickering and fighting amount the creator and the one handling the funds is the first sign. $200m is quite huge amount of money, so there's no doubt that it is one factor that really turns the tide. As the saying goes, money is the root of all evil, so I think with greed, this is bound to happened.
7175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can ETH match the BTC? on: November 03, 2017, 04:25:21 PM
I think that Eth has the potential to grow even more in terms of market capitalization. In terms of it's price - highly unlikely. It has an unlimited supply which mean constant devaluation due to more and more being issued.

Yes ETH has the potential to grow but bitcoin is also increasing so for eth getting to 7k will take a long time. While bitcoin is now at 7.3k it will go higher.

It would really take a long time for ETH to keep up with the fathers of coin Bitcoin.

I think the top price that can ETH go is $1000. I don't think it can really reach what bitcoin has already been doing. Bitcoin price is so high that all investors are pouring their cash on it. But I don't expect that to happened in ETH. But maybe it can go to the moon but it will take a lot of years for it. When ETH reaches $1000, maybe bitcoin is like $100000 by that time. ETH is really a good coin however, everyone is really out to make good money and don't like what the project is behind.
7176  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Price Moving Towards $7500, Market needs a crash on: November 03, 2017, 03:30:05 PM
Bitcoin price in India is hitting all records and now the price is moving towards the level of Rs. 500000 and its the signal of price correction. I think the next few days are crucial and we should be ready for a crash.

In the bull run, the market captures positive news and ignores small negative news. When people starts selling to make profits, the prices goes down and every negative news are highlighted which can lead a crash.

Market Needs Crash

Of course the market can't remained in this state, it will always needs to go down for price correction. But I think it will still be after the fork because FOMO is always real. But as far as India is concern, I don't know what they are buying bitcoin at a premium price there, maybe there is some speculation that they are going to ban crypto currency.

7179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: November 01, 2017, 05:59:03 AM
Next week the atp ranking will be upset!
Murray will lose 2500 points and Djokovic will lose about 1200 points and both will be out of the top 10!
Many players will make their best rankings:
A.Zverev third, Thiem fourth, Dimitrov at least sixth
Best rankings also for Goffin, Carreno Busta and Querrey.
Del Potro can return in top 10

Wow. What a huge shake up in the Tennis ranking next week. Sad to say Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic go out early this year, but its really nice to see other players stepping up while they are gone and show casing their tennis prowess. I'm sure that the two will be back with a vengeance next year, so its gonna be a good year in 2018. Wish the best for the two, hope they overcome they injuries and personal issues so that they can come back healthy and hungrier.
7180  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin actually just a Investment coin? on: October 31, 2017, 09:49:18 PM
It is difficult to understand that but yes, actually a lot of people are introducing theirselves only to make money from it, not to take advantage of the uses of bitcoin and the whole cryptocurrencies in general.
A lot of people are only buying bitcoins to increase their portfolio's money, so i am not impressed for saying that bitcoin is just like an investment, but the main idea of bitcoin was just to be like a new "currency" only that it is digital..

Well initially as I understand it, bitcoin was designed to be a P2P and not as a investment. But lately, when the price soars and the big boys comes and join the fun, bitcoin became as a investment platform. That's why its gonna be hard to attain it as mode of payment now because its now treated as a investment instrument by the super rich.
