7181  Other / Meta / Re: Farmed Accounts TM - Searching for... 19 November 2013 on: December 12, 2016, 11:45:12 PM
Hi @rizzlarolla,

I have a strong feeling that these three UID's:

19 November 2013, 02:47:49 Date Registered: Anixs     u=163265 http://archive.is/QVXgN

19 November 2013, 05:43:15 Date Registered: Wendigo u=163375 http://archive.is/Ds15V

19 November 2013, 19:37:12 Date Registered: WhiteyZ u=163888 http://archive.is/Ql4eY

Are either Alts, or, at the very least are Farmed Accounts TM in either case I was wondering if:

Using these three as templates, can you trawl through their post history and compare their posting patterns (ie once per fortnight, same day ie Monday, that sort of thing) and then if their patterns are similar over a period of time, then using that pattern to sweep for other UIDs that are also farmed?

This is from today in the [User Generated] - Known alts of anyone  thread:  http://archive.is/l5HmP#selection-8743.0-8828.2

Nice findings everyone. As I frequent the Gambling section I have noticed that members of the FortuneJack campaign post one after another in the same threads and the posting patterns are suspiciously similar and in the back of my mind I have always thought something fishy is going on but couldn't put my finger on it and now everything is revealed and nicely laid out for everyone to see. I don't think such ravenous and brutal sockpuppeting should be allowed.

I totally agree.

This is the third UID in a month to have a Date Registered: 19 November 2013 to join a conversation unexpectedly that I've been in.

When did you buy your account?

I messaged FortuneJack about it and they said they're going to relaunch the campaign:

Hello,

Thank you for messaging us.

We are aware of the issue and we will announce today that this campaign is closed

New campaign will have stricter rules and we will control the posts thoroughly.

There's probably a few more users on the FJ campaign with numerous alts that are not related to the above ones.

The 777 signature campaign is another breeding ground with two separate threads running concurrently (at least they were the last time I looked)

Both should be locked (to prevent editing etc) and a new single one started with stricter rules.

I'm not so sure if Opal Wallet can be used as a proof, but I just wanna share it :

boopy265420 use Opal address

Opal Address: ocpkMdkqmHuDFMm5qV3Cb9wMYHZ4zJvP7k

buddu

My OPAL =  ocXBvW8aj1f3baKegMq91eWFjpYMvZsDFY

My Opal Address:  oVvTbVM9vDqHJCewd9fb5Z2CYbQ2QLkXKh

All posts Archived

Part of opal wallet : https://chainz.cryptoid.info/opal/wallet.dws?18498.htm

IF IT CAN BE USED TO PROVE THAT THEIR OPAL ADDRESSES ARE FROM THE SAME WALLET THEN THE CONCLUSION IS :

(Snip)

All above accounts + boopy = managed by 1 person only HuhHuh?

IS THIS FOR REAL? NEED Timelord2067 or other experts on this to crosscheck..

On the surface it looks like they are from the same Wallet.

However, we have to take into consideration:

This feature is very experimental, inaccurate and not updated in real-time

I didn't know chainz.cryptoid.info did this kind of thing...

I managed to find a paper wallet I have for an Alt coin and as expected, it shows the incoming transactions but not an expected wallet,  nore other Wallet Addresses...

It seems to be correct, - I'd need to dig out some old Alt Coin Wallets that haven't been updated in a long time and see if it displays correctly for other Alt Coins.

Thanks for the info.
7187  Economy / Reputation / Re: [User Generated] - Known alts of anyone on: December 11, 2016, 11:23:45 PM
Idk how the hell you do this. That's insane. I started to scroll down, my jaw dropped, then I kept scrolling... and scrolling... Wow.

I'll have a look through it but I'll have to start when I have some time haha. I'm still doing everything on my phone until I find a laptop that I like so I'm a little slower than I'd like to be.

I knew there would be a ton more alts when I saw the connection to the ~12 you had already found.

Part of it is to go through *every* thing.  Certainly start with Wallet Addresses; they can't be fudged.  Move onto anything such as Twitter and Facebook profile names that are used.  Other Alt coin Wallet Addresses, or claiming in a signature campaign.  Then go through every post via their post history, at 20 (or is it 30?) posts per page, you can scroll past text until you find what you are looking for (make sure you have a list (and check it twice Wink ) before you look to see if they've been naughty or nice scammed.

Archiving is what slows things down.  Archive as you go; not after you've got everything in place, you'll forget to archive something.

Here are the codes to properly display [BTC]onFIRE and [btc]onfire1

Code:
[nobbc][BTC]onFIRE[/nobbc]

[nobbc][btc]onfire1[/nobbc]

Oh and having a text file open to occasionally save your work to is handy in-case you get logged out or there is a power failure.  (and preview your work as you go - it acts as an auto save and you can spot those mistakes as you go)

On a personal level, the Level of awesomeness seems to be per post, not per Alt identified, so both of our posts concerning [BTC]onFIRE will count as just one on the awesomeness scale.  Undecided

Regards,
7188  Economy / Reputation / Re: [User Generated] - Known alts of anyone on: December 11, 2016, 11:09:06 PM
I stated a few posts back that I will not accept a link to that page as proof for connections between addresses. Id like to be able to verify the information. Linking to walletexplorer makes it easy for the accuser and tedious for the verifier. I prefer the SHA-2 way, difficult to find, easy to verify. Others on DT might see this differently, its just my personal view.

You mean like how two Alts will create PGP Keys withing days of each-other as proof they are Alts?

That kind of thing?

I wouldnt not accept that either, yes.

"But of course you would say that."

I'm sorry you feel my work isn't up to your own high standards.  Without the proof of Wallet Addresses being in the same Wallet, or such things as coinciding dates, you've set yourself a pretty high bar to hurdle, and I'm kind of stumped what you would accept as proof?
7189  Other / Meta / Re: Account hacked on: December 11, 2016, 10:58:28 PM
@Timelord2067 That is one hell of a detailing my dear friend. I know you have spent an aweful lot of time investigating this scam or fraudster .You are indeed a scam buster and hats off to you and my question is is it possible to file an FIR against these individuals for fraud as i have seen an FIR being logged recently in India for scamming 1.5 BTC. I am not sure about how the end results will be but in this case the admins does have their IP address and i expect them to hand over the IP address when there is a police complaint.

I wouldn't say exactly that the forum is turning a blind eye to such goings on, but they are leaving it up to the forum's participants to self monitor and dish out a kind of retribution in the form of trust, either positive, neutral or negative depending on the transgression.

There's nothing to stop retaliatory negative trust, or indeed false trust from an Alt to give the allusion of trust where non exists.

Most of the scams are for a couple of dollars so people aren't likely to go to the police for that kind of coin.  Unfortunately, all we can do is build up a profile of the scammers and mark each one accordingly with Red Paint TM and hope that punters in future are clued up enough to read the trust trusted, or in my case untrusted, and hope users make an informed decision about what is written.

Hi Chris! I took a different path to yours after that PM we were both sent the other day, my results for [BTC]onFIRE are over Yonder: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1179091.msg17148774#msg17148774 if you'd like to cast an eye over my results? There was about a dozen Alts I was able to identify to add onto the nearly 20 others I'd previously identified:

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that [BTC]onFIRE was never hacked on the 8th of August and that [BTC]onFIRE is a chronic scammer with dozens of Alts.

The OP creates this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1179091.0 on the 13 September 2015, 16:37:27 and less than ten hours later goes off-line permanently having posted just once...

The fact the account has stopped being used tells me a scammer was in control of the account

[BTC]onFIRE wanted it to appear as though the account had been hacked and then abandoned.

The scammer has a sense of irony though:  http://archive.is/naNSu#selection-5805.47-5805.85

though I doubt I'll see any of the promised BTC 10.0 any time soon...  Undecided

No-one followed up on this though:  http://archive.is/AOlSW#selection-4401.0-4421.244

I can confirm that the hacker/current owner of the account BTConfire is Candystripes/Pierre11, who are serial scammers. This user has also scammed me out of 1.3~ BTC recently. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS ACCOUNT UNTIL THE ORIGINAL OWNER GETS IT BACK.

No negative trust on their wall, and no scam accusation that I can see.

Still not sure how these codes actually work but given the short activity of titaniumfox I'd say they are an Alt of the scammer who took over the OP's main account.

At this point, it almost appears to become exponential the number of Alts that are connected.  Perhaps someone else might like to delve further into these Alts?

I'll let you ponder these three posts by [BTC]onFIRE and planetroving

I like Primedice because of its minimalistic and uncluttered site, which makes using the site very easy to use. It is very easy to navigate the site, unlike a few other dice sites. Also, the big community brings a sense of belonging to something big, which is great, especially in the chat. The faucet integrated within the site is great as well. However, the only gripe I have is the slow roll/bet speed, which brings the site down when compared to other dice sites.

Thanks!

Two out of three instances where planetroving posts the twitter spacemarsful [btc]onfire1 is in close proximity, so I began to wonder if they (and therefore all) of these Alts are connected?

I stated a few posts back that I will not accept a link to that page as proof for connections between addresses. Id like to be able to verify the information. Linking to walletexplorer makes it easy for the accuser and tedious for the verifier. I prefer the SHA-2 way, difficult to find, easy to verify. Others on DT might see this differently, its just my personal view.

You mean like how two Alts will create PGP Keys withing days of each-other as proof they are Alts?

That kind of thing?

I thought that it just showed all addresses in an HD wallet. Does it make mistakes sometimes?
As far as I know, you can't see if addresses came from a HD wallet. The addresses come from the private key, and it's the private key that is created in the HD wallet.
I'm no expert, so I'd like to be corrected if I'm wrong on this.
Wrong. You can't derive a list of all addresses from a HD wallet unless you have the master public key/xpubkey.

So obviously the Alt calling itself quickseller has modified one of the posts above, (but that's not to say they don't like gay sex with cowboys...)

Well as i have stated above just consider it as a null void if you are not satisfied by the basis, It is my way of conducting an investigation tho (if denied by most of the agents then no problem at all)

chixka000 - You are an Alt of Alaki because you both have the letters "A" "I" and "K" in your user name.  It's obvious, I don't even need to offer proof.

Update to my last find. I was going through each account's trust and Timelord2067 already tagged sorlunjo.

They're all alts of the (in?)famous Engg.Chaks. That obviously warrants a negative in my books.

Just how many does this guy have?

The plot thickens...

New accounts connected: Jog4444, sorlunjo, christinalorine, chr_sty, marlboroza, sporadic06. These are all alts of Engg.Chaks.

See this link for Timelord2067's connection to Engg.Chaks and more:

Other accounts connected:

dio, hothtszho, Engg.Akrepi, hosumfu, louise123e,  yingbb0301, sun64986161, kenshi222, williamho, diodio1, retes1234, kovaa, summer11, bank2, banklunjo, retes4321, diodio5, godzerosonic, retes43210, retes12345, Engg.Chaks, y02723942001, sun64986, yinghacked, summer111,  summer116, Deacidifyingbbas, sorlunjo,  kenshi2121, kenshin77, kenshin_8513,  d161616, Engg.Chalks.Returns,  chakchaks

Working on links to profiles arm Done. This was a bit nuts to stumble upon as you can imagine.

If I find connections that link two accounts (ie Alts) then I will mark them neutral, if they are scammers, I will give them Red Paint TM - but, I shouldn't have to be the only one who marks them.  If someone else finds a connection, they should also mark the Alts.  I'm not saying all of them, but certainly the ones they have connected.

Chris!  How are your finds connected?  You haven't said.

I'm impressed how much stress and grief has been caused by a whole (correct me if this figure is wrong) a whole three dollars and eighty-four point one cents in USA dollars.

Really?

This is me slow clapping people.

FUDsters and the like are eroding this forum for a whole $ 3.841 USD and we're debating the merits of tagging a defaulted loan collateral as though a college trust fund were hanging in the balance?

I have no problem Red Painting TM a defaulted loan collateral (and the loan defaulter to target two UIDs at once) if it whittles down the number of Legendary or Hero accounts to a handful who are genuine UID's who engage in the community.

True, people might fall on hard times, but $ 3.841 is a quick fix for a gambler, not some-one needing to pay the rent.

You wouldn't put your dick in someone elses mouth for $ 3.841 would you?

If we decide on more colors, then I'll be sure to expand this. I think that red and purple will be sufficient for now.
As a more intuitive way to display, I want to suggest Banned.
That way, you can combine the two too: Banned and red.

Yes, we do run IP matching checks after we have final list from bitcoin talk.
Can you post the matching accounts here?

The purple might be borrowed from where I used it in the Spambots (backlink spam and whatnot) - ie Zombie Accounts TM https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1660106.0 thread for those accounts that had not just been Nuked, but also deleted.

Perhaps another colour to denote banned such as orange or even teal?
