You have did a big mistake if you invested only on a single altcoins. Diversify your investment on some altcoins, it will lessen the risks of losses. I don't think it is the time for you to regret it. It is the decline period, so why not you just wait for the next bullrun or rise cycle. Actually you haven't lost yet. Be patient!

I think the development of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency are still in the beginning phase. So, don't assume that there are no further development till now. There are no bad things in their improvement, they are always improving and have adopted more day to day.

Yes, XRP has surpassed ETH and It seems to maintain its position on second place. Actually, I am quite surprised but it makes sense with the demand of XRP on market. The team behind this coin have applied really great strategy to attract people to buy XRP coins in large quantities.  

People are only talking about prediction, no definite time for the bullrun. Prediction has a low probability of the accuracy. Therefore, I never believe 100% in the prediction. When people said the bullrun in the end of 2018 or the beginning of 2019 or on the middle of next year, I just make it as a possibility of the upcoming market condition. It possibly happens and not happen. 

To choose HODLing should be wiser than Selling in this time, but it is not applied for all coins. I find some coins that are good to trade although it is in bear market. Bear market is the right time to buy coins. Since there are many coins experiencing severe reduction of their prices, It should be good time to invest. But the key point is buying top coins only. The top coins have good market cap, that's one of the reason to be recommended for investment.

If I have 500$, I will definitely choose the top altcoins for investment. There are many good choices such as Ripple, Stellar, Ethereum, Doge, and Cardano. I will divide my money to several altcoins for investment.

Yes, you won't get definite indicators for analyzing the market trends. You must use your experience or follow the experts tips. 

I think there is no trading without losses. It is impossible to always get perfect achievement in trading. But it is possible to minimize the losses, and the way is investing or trading the top coins. Personally, I assume to invest or trade the top coins with highest market cap will be effective way to lessen the possibility of losses.     

It doesn't depend on the exchanges, but the team of ICOs. Some ICO projects can directly list their tokens after token sale ended, and some list the tokens during ICOs. While others delay to list because of many reasons. So, it is about the teams of ICO projects, and not about exchanges.   

It should depend on your goal in trading. If you want to get income faster, you can choose short trading. While for bigger income, you are better to HODL your coins. Both also can be applied together, it seems more effective to gain profits.
