Wow, this article took a whole 5 minutes of investigation to write...

If only we had regulations to save us from ourselves!

Regulations augmented by heavy doses of potent psychotropics have proven effective in some cases.  I remain guardedly optimistic Smiley
7183  Economy / Securities / Re: BTC-Rating IPO on: April 14, 2014, 11:04:54 AM
So send them your pitch deck, OP, let them serious demanding exchange operators fund you.  Problem solved.

With respect to independence while performing audit, that wouldn't be the best if the company is owned by serval exchange platforms...

VCs or crowdfunding are the two possible options, and I'm working on both!

Lol OP, simply don't rate the companies owned by the "serious exchange operators" that finance you, why must I explain everything?
And which "serious exchange operators" are demanding you service?
Thus far, every Bitcoin "rating agency" turned out to be
(a) a scam,
(b) run by the intellectually challenged, or
(c) both.

The most recent example was Herp Rating Agency, run by .  In a burst of hilarity, Herp was B& from this forum for maniacally shilling NeoBee, the the vanishing bitcoin bank.

Derp.

Perhaps.  Though if that's the case, the finance enthusiasts in this thread didn't spend those five minutes before "investing" in Neo. Undecided

Sounds reasonable, CAFE NEO.
Your new plan of action, you being in Cyprus:

1.  Find teh cl00less n00bs and go "Dum n00bz, paper wallet right!"
2.  N00bs r all like "yo pigs, we mistake!"
3.  Cops go "O wow lel," rip up arrest warrant.
>>Dany, unspooked, returns to Cyprus, pockets stuffed with new investor bux.<<
4.  Danny unlocks office, texts ex-employees: "yo, watup bitchas, who hungry?"
6.  Ex-employees go "OHAI Danny," run back 2 work.
7.  Danny texts creditors "want ur stinking fiat? Tongue"
8.  Huh
9.  PROFIT.

In the meantime, I snap up some cheap shares.  What could possibly go wrong?
7187  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] BitVPS on: April 12, 2014, 11:43:40 PM
...Every shareholder here invested into the companies profitability at the expense of any and all voting rights. This is a profit share of BitVPS and nothing else.

In other words, you went into this sale knowing the shareholders were defrauded?  And now you chose to argue that the shares, by virtue of being non-voting stock, could be simply annulled?  Am I understanding you correctly?

If you are not concerned about mpex you might be in the wrong thread.

Sorry.  I'm  (might as well admit it) mysteriously drawn to the local lolcows, I am deeply ashamed...
Post a selfie?

But what does this have to do with the cult of mpex?

Other than it not being quite as lulzy as Havelock (which you kiss on at every opportunity), hopefully nothing.  I'm not concerned with MPEx -- those who can afford 30BTC door charge can take care of themselves.

*But congrats on getting your tree-fiddy 4 bux out of NeoBee.  How much did you put in, ~100?

#bitcoin-assets is now a cult!

Assuming it wasn't already.

I am surprised mp didn't throw in a random 5 btc fee to join the chat room/cult. Seems like something he would do.

Lol, how are your "investments" on (and, i assume, in) Havelock doing?  Somethin' like this?

7192  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] (HIF) Havelock Investments Fund on: April 12, 2014, 01:52:23 PM
Havelock, a 100,000BTC corporation, offered this fund as a gift to you, the [ungrateful, vindictive and nitpicking] Bitcoin community.
Lesson learned.  No more presents.

To clarify,

We have enough funds to run HavelockInvestments.com and are not looking for any of our users to lend us or provide us with any Capital for our operations.
That is why we only offer 5% of the Company.

This Fund is offered as a way for our loyal users to participate in any profits derived from the operations of the HavelockInvestments.com website.

We want the Bitcoin community to participate with us in this growing venture.

TL;DR: Send me ur money so I can start a rating agency (that tells you who not to send money to).
7194  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] (HIF) Havelock Investments Fund on: April 11, 2014, 07:26:41 PM
In comparing the actual figures reported for this 4-month period [37 BTC] with those projected in the Prospectus [1,956 BTC]...

The absurdities of Havelock's self-valuation ($60 million at IPO time) and projected earnings -- both were pointed out on the first pages of this thread.

You don't have to be a co-plaintiff. The "class" is everyone who's lost money, and Mt. Gox will be ordered to produce a list of depositors in that class and they will all be given the option to join the settlement or pursue separate claims.

Just read the filing and I WAS WRONG!!  Sorry.

I understand that you are not a lawyer, no need to state the obvious.  Since we agree that Ken is not a co-plaintiff in this lawsuit, he is entitled to nothing if the plaintiff class wins.  The amount awarded in case of a win will be divided among the plaintiffs.  Of which Ken ain't one.
So...  What is Ken trying to say again?

It is a class action suite and VMC is in the class.

Is VMC a co-plaintiff, or did you assume that since you lost money, you'll automatically benefit from this class action lawsuit?
P.S:  Do you really have IRL lawyer??

^What is Ken trying to say, as you read it?  Care to explain it to those of us not fluent in Kenspeak?

Have to wait till the court case is settled before Mt. Gox has to settle it's debts it would seem. So until then no one is getting refunded from Gox it would seem.

So you're reading it as "Ken is a co-plaintiff in this case, and is waiting for the court's findings?  Am I correct?
7199  Economy / Securities / Re: NEO and BEE talk (unmoderated) on: April 10, 2014, 09:43:23 PM
... In case you didn't already know, the halt was merely a suggestion from a random neobee staff member. Havelock has every right to ignore the suggestion...

Ignoring "suggestions of random staffers" is more of a duty than a right, but I'm not too well versed in Panamanian civil law as it applies to unlicenced Panamanian exchanges.  Care to clue me in?
