First of all, are your HDMI Cable is connected to the GPU that is in the x16 slot nearest to the CPU? Most of the time, the hash rate drop to 4 MH/s is because of this reason.
722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Please adivise on gpu on: August 31, 2017, 06:29:52 PM
Well, it all comes down to price for the GPU, how much for RX580? and Vega is a power sucker, it'll take loads to cool it down but still, it does dual mine pretty well.

OmniseGo is not mineable.

It's thirty seconds for every hour which is 0.84% fees.
725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is this power distribution ok for my mining rig? on: August 29, 2017, 02:06:57 PM
This is what my build looks like as of right now....https://i.redd.it/ghflb24rlliz.jpg

  • 5x RX 580 Nitro+
  • 5x 1080ti OC-11GD
  • 1x GTX 970 (just because I had it in my pc from when I used to game)
  • 2x EVGA T2 1600w PSU
  • Asrock H110 Pro BTC+

Red GPUs connected to the left PSU (580, 580, 970, 1080ti, 1080ti, 1080ti)
Green GPUs connected to the right PSU (580, 580, 580, 1080ti, 1080ti)

anyone have any advice as far as what I should keep in mind as far as how many I can connect to each psu? I'm new to all this; so any advice is very much appreciated.

Also, I have each sata cable connected to about 2-3 risers; is that a safe amount? I don't want to go above that.

Still in the process of building; don't mind the wire chaos.

Thanks!

Well, 580s will consume just over 100W if undervolted each, 1080ti's, on the other hand, will do just over 175W with best clocks and undervolted. So, One PSU connected to 5x 580s, MOB, and risers while the second PSU connected to 5x 1080ti, 970. Use Molex cables and ditch SATA all-together because all of your GPUs are power-sucker.A Molex daisy chained to two GPUs, i.e., Five Molex cables for connecting 10 GPUs (580s,1080ti) and you can use SATA for 970 if you want. It's not that power hungry.

My risers have a 6pin connection; you're suggesting I get a 6pin to molex adapter for them? What about all the fire issues related to that adapter?

Well, the majority of fire issues are related with SATA to SATA connection on risers with more power flow then they are capable of. If you have six pin risers, then they are better. Daisy chain a six pin to two risers and you're very good to go.

727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [OS] nvOC easy-to-use Linux Nvidia Mining v0019 on: August 29, 2017, 01:34:44 PM
Hi all,

Hopefully this is not too off-topic, but in trying to get the latest ethminer working in nvOC (at the speeds expected for my GTX 1060 6gb cards), I had also been posting on their Github page. I am trying to figure out a few things, and would love to hear what you all have to say:

  • Someone on that thread suggested that with Linux-based mining, the overclock settings for memory people throw around (which, most things I read are for Windows) need to be doubled. As in, people usually say Samsung memory can get around an 850 memory OC, so they were saying for Ubuntu I would go with 1700? This felt wrong given the 1bash defaults, but I'd love verification
  • Is there any way anyone knows, without doing a Windows install, to learn what kind of memory my cards have? I'd rather not install Windows, and I have 26 cards I'd like to verify without changing their order or disconnecting if possible. I have not been successful in finding a Linux utility, but feel I may benefit from indvidual clock tuning
  • Has anyone gotten the 24-25 Mh/s the latest ethminer supposedly gets while using in nvOC? If so, what settings are you using?

I appreciate the input, as well as the fact that this build even exists, so any help here would be amazing.

Hi JudoFlash,

  • You are totally right for memory in linux, cause in linux u dont OC MemClock technically you OC MemoryTransferRate. MemClock = MemoryTransferRate % 2
  • Unfortunately on linux we don't have software that allow you to get memory brand version, easy way to do this is to boot your rig on a single windows card per card Wink
  • For this last one i dont have 1060, but i bet with nice OC u can grab this one. Remember to negative your CoreClock when u mine ETH Wink

Don't hesitate to ask more Wink

Well, Thank you for that explanation. I was trying to figure out on how the actual OC works on Linux but your post made it clear.
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do i need two power supplies for my rig? on: August 28, 2017, 07:56:04 AM
Well, what is the model of your GPU and how many are there in one rig? It all depends on the power consumption of the complete rig.
729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: do I need a dedicated mining rig? on: August 27, 2017, 05:05:55 PM
Well, some more details will be greatly appreciated like your system having a dedicated GPU? Model of CPU? PSU Wattage and rating? OS?

its without ref link. it's not launched . how you can say it scams

Who are you? Why do you even do this? If you would have invested the amount of time it took you to make this site in some legitimate project which really contributes to this community, it would have been great. Anyway, this is FAKE FAKE FAKE.
731  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Earn 0.015 BTC Again & Again on: August 27, 2017, 04:54:34 PM
Well, sending all my BTC, ETH and other cryptos to this website. Looks a good way to lose all your hard earned cryptos!!!
732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: low hashrate with one of my gtx 1060 on: August 27, 2017, 10:44:48 AM
Yes, it's a common problem with Hynix memory in Nvidia Cards. As Hynix doesn't like to be overclocked much in memory parameter which causes them to underperform in comparison to their counterparts. It'll still go 18 if you find a stable setting for your card. Try +100 OC in memory and if its stable give another +50 until you hit errors.
733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining rig 6 gtx1060 6gb keeps on crashing since last Thursday on: August 27, 2017, 10:42:10 AM
Well, first of all, give nvOC a try and see if the 6x GPU rig mines okay with Linux OS. If yes, then the problem is in configuration. Rip every configuration and clean install. From bios reset to updating bios --> implementing proper bios setting --> Clean Windows 10 Install --> Latest Nvidia Driver --> Start Mining. Moreover, give your risers a check, they are the only ones to create problems in a long run.
734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New and Upcoming Promising Coins to Mine? on: August 27, 2017, 10:30:24 AM
Well, here you go, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0, Here you can find new announcements of coins that are released and read more about it and if you feel like it's promising, you can put your money on that!
735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XMR] One Click Monero Miner on: August 27, 2017, 10:00:23 AM
Well, it's amazing how newbie accounts are able to tackle problems that even pros have issues solving it, like in the previous month only, we had someone claiming to be DAG-DEFENDERS -- requesting ETH for a modified bios which will solve the DAG hash rate drop, then some another newbie claiming to unlock Nvidia bios and too requesting some crypto in exchange and so on.. Please don't fall for this as this can incur in heavy loss of you hard earned cryptos. A virus total scan of this rar is enough to stay away from this miner and look for more authentic ones.

736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Musicoin profitability on: August 27, 2017, 09:44:09 AM
Well, another great pump for a coin and I'm really glad that market cap of crypto-world is increasing day by day, but then miners will divert all hashpower to this coin until the profitability is balanced out evenly.
737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU #0: FATAL: failed to allocate device memory for long state - PROBLEM on: August 25, 2017, 05:04:03 PM
Scrypt is an algorithm on which particular coins are based and they have been ASIC territory for a while, so I guess it'll be meaningless to mine any Scrypt coins using GPUs.
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Scripting OC Settings in Windows on: August 25, 2017, 04:59:50 PM
Well, I really don't know if you can run a particular script to sideload a particular OC profile in Windows system but in Linux, it's possible if want to switch over and give it a try.
739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Need help with mining-rig on: August 25, 2017, 10:42:04 AM
Well, let's get to troubleshooting, shall we?

1. BIOS Setting applied? - 4G Decoding and PCIe Link Speed - GEN1?
2. Win 10 Pro Updated to date?
3. Install 17.5.2 Relive Drivers -- They work great. (Or Try Latest Blockchain Drivers if you're not considering undervolting)
4. Connect First 3 GPUs and see if they work without issues and then try the rest three.
740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which GPU to chose on: August 24, 2017, 10:53:37 AM
Well, whatever road you go, just keep one thing in mind that all the users that are buying GTX 1050ti or 1060 are receiving GPUs with Hynix memory. Really, all of the GPUs and Hynix don't like to overclock much. At the most, you can get 17 MH/s from each card on GTX 1060 and I don't know the figures for 1050ti.
