Astonishing rise, but I cannot find what is the reason why it rise (except Segwit 2x cancellation - I don't think is sufficient cause)
Is there any big news, or it is another pump & dump?

I think Bitcoin will remain top price thanks to big money, but I am really curious if bch could keep 1000+ levels

That is interesting to watch how long it will remain above $1k at the moment there is no solid reason behind this. Time will decide about the people who are buying at this price.

It is too fast growing .. I think in few days there will be correction under 1k

Nope... Flippening as designed.

Im surprised by BTG though.

Yea must be well under $50 now I heard it would be right here
best go check https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-gold/#charts

1. From the amount of questions that are getting asked about the fork and getting extra coins could be one reason many are expecting to double up
2. Roger is selling the rest of his Bitcoin to buy Bitcoin Cash
3. The Segwit2x crowd see this as the next best option

Thats about it take your pick but probably a combination of all 3 either way it won't last and when it does dump it will go HARD

13 November fork gives everyone who owns BCH new coin called Bitcoin ABC ?

No you get nothing from the fork

I'm not sure this is going to be worth it to hop on right away. Especially since I only have 1 GTX 1070 to mine with. It appears everyone and their mom is going to be mining this from the get go. Maybe the difficulty will go down for the other altcoins, and I can mine them for more profit while everyone else is distracted.

Right away may be the best time to gain as much as possible before everyone jumps on but on a single GTX1070 it won't be much

How come I did not know about this Fork  Roll Eyes

I Only Knew about the Nov 15 th Fork.

How did I miss this news ?? Is This really a Fork going on ??

Yes but it shouldn't give you a second coin it's just a network upgrade to fix the work of the original incompetent dev by his own work again which should have been found during testing the first time
726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: November 11, 2017, 03:40:43 PM
three days ago , anyone bought BCH will x3 investment congratulations guys , i missed and now i following it

the bch price  so high .

Yes anyone that bought when it was low has the opportunity to profit well but anyone buying now is setting themselves to go to bed and wake up finding a huge crash happened
727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: November 11, 2017, 03:38:09 PM
testnet is over. Has Bitcoin Gold been de-centralised and launched for miners?

No not yet about another 28 Hours to go
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: November 11, 2017, 03:37:34 PM
waiting for the bitcoin gold come alive , i have almost 50 bitcoin gold ,thank you all the dev team ,it is free money , i think the bitcoin gold will become bigger and bigger.

you have 50 bitcoin? because to have 50 bitcoin gold it mean you ahve 50 bitcoin, that is an awesome amount bro, i wish i had that amount, but this coin is minable, so i think you can mine 1 per day at the launch when the diff is still low

I would be surprised if the difficulty is low if anything there will be more hashing that value as a lot if GPU rigs get switched over on the very minute of mainnet then yes it may be possible but don't expect it to last very long at all

729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: November 11, 2017, 03:24:19 PM
Can you mine BTG to an existing BTC address?

No you need a BTG address (G) instead of (1)

You can create a wallet address here to use now https://btgwallet.online/#newAddress and then just import or sweep any funds to a proper wallet once available

Ok great, thank you!

Another short term option is to store on an exchange although not the best for long term
730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: November 11, 2017, 01:31:31 PM
i looks like new money is coming in. or they sold their BTC first and then bought BCH with KRW.

40.66% of the trading volume is from trades on Bithumb: BCH/KRW
13.28% / Bitfinex / BCH/USD.

and this is interesting too:
it's all artificial on exchange there is very little happening on the actual blockchain

If it's as expected roger up to his games he's probably selling BTC at a slow pace to KRW to not crash the price too fast as to maximise his worth and then slowly buy BCH as not to cause the value to increase at a huge rate to do the same maximise his profits
731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: November 11, 2017, 12:55:05 PM
Why is this shitcoin pumping?  Anyone know?

Roger selling his BTC stash for BCH as announced and expected price rose FOMO kicked in more started doing the same and will be followed by the dumping afterwards this is not sustainable it's all artificial on exchange there is very little happening on the actual blockchain

Funny that the biggest flippening spammers all have a warning for untrustworthiness stuck to their name.

What goes up allways goes down, BCH might have a future but in the coming days there will be corrections, no such things as linnear growth.

Yes especially when the majority is coming from a single 0 fee exchange, roger has publicly stated he he going all in on BCH and shortly after the price surges from somewhere he regularly tweets from so probably selling and moving the rest of his BTC and when it does crash it's going to crash hard possibly harder than before simple due to how low people saw it go last time there also seems to be speculation that the HF may see a split and some hedging bets that they could see a new coin although this is highly unlikely to happen
734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: November 11, 2017, 11:59:32 AM
...

The best thing is that over 100000 transaction are stucking since yesterday on the segshit Bitcoin chain :-D

I am happy to change all of my BTC holding quiet cheao for arround 0.12 yesterday. Theflipping just started.

Yes, over 98000 as I type this. It will get very ugly soon when people start panicing to get rid of the BTC-SegWit-Legacy coin.

When the new DAA HF happens BCH will me much more unprofitable so lets see how well it works at keeping it stable and if it does fully work as expected then this will be good for both chains as there will be no more wild swings and finally stable hashing on both
735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: November 11, 2017, 11:43:21 AM
How come blocks are never even 100kb in size but the limit is astonishing 8Mbs? What was the point of forking?

The point was

1. To Block Segshit from being in the block chain
2. Increasing the Transactions Capacity so the fees are lower and transactions complete faster

Segshitcoin is currently 100 thousand unconfirmed transactions, with people complaining that they paid $14 to send $187 , and the transactions still have not arrived.
Only the stupid waste money & time like that.

╥Aztek
But that's rather pointless since nobody is even using BCH to come anywhere near the 8MB block size, It's like installing wind splitters and wings on a pinto. It may look "cool" to some, but it's stupid and it is not doing anything functional. Even with 200kb block size limit, BCH would have cheaper fees, since nobody cares about this shitcoin expect for chinese miners who dump BTC to buy this crap.
Even if BCH does get wide spread adoption, and 8MB blocks get filled to the last byte, full nodes would have to store (by my rough estimate) more than 100TB data.

^

BCH is made to handle the ENTIRE world's money transactions. Do you expect a node to run on an Intel 486?

No but I expect a "Home Server" to be affordable for the average user my current node is running on a old AMD Phenom with 4GB of ram under the latest version of ubuntu server LTS and this handles the current system no problem both BTC and BCH and shortly BTG come tomorrow

See https://bitcoingold.org/ there is a live countdown

BTG
So i can basically use my gpu (normal single gpu) for this
lets hope that is correct and the time for solving the algo doesnt take long

Yes you can use any single GPU providing it is powerful enough

So basicly it means some GPU's like for current mining. Nvidia 1060,1070,1080 etc... Of course Radeon RX but these will be worst efficient wise.

Yes the current crop of GPUs currently in use I know nvidia likes equihash  but im not sure how they compare efficiency wise although they are supposed to be lower power consumption per hash

All I have are AMD cards mainly RX480s 8GB and a couple of 4GB variants

what is the speed of the RX480s 8GB?do not know when the wallet will be available?

Just quickl swopped ove didn't change nothing else but will give an idea

ZEC: GPU0 307.172 H/s, GPU1 292.436 H/s, GPU2 298.039 H/s, GPU3 315.588 H/s, GPU4 321.204 H/s, GPU5 302.195 H/s

These are stock clock speeds on linux
740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: November 11, 2017, 01:47:57 AM
how many tokens in total are you issuing?

Same as bitcoin 21 million in total

I heard that the dev team will get 1 million coins.
I guess this 1,000,000 should be added to the 21 million, so 22 million total?

I don't know where you found that number from the dev team was pre-mining 8000 blocks this is 100k and the cap is still 21M these 100k are timelocked so cannot be fully accesses for 3 years
