721  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Liquidity providers wanted on: October 15, 2014, 03:09:09 PM
Guys, my newly launched site https://coinut.com needs some liquidity providers. Register now, and you will get a great offer if you trade using limit orders. Hurry up, or you will miss it.

The website https://coinut.com/ I'm getting malware alert from my antivirus.
Be careful if any of you don't have an antivirus program and firewall installed with the latest database.

Thanks for the information. But would you please give me a screenshot so that I know whether it is your antivirus software's problem or it's because of some kind of conflict of interest.

Who are we trading against? IS it a decentralized markets where we trade with each other or do we trade against you?

You trade with each other. I just watch and maintain. That's why I say it's a fair market.

It satisfies a power law distribution.

725  Economy / Trading Discussion / Do you need an bitcoin options exchange? on: October 15, 2014, 02:02:34 PM
I just launched a bitcoin options exchange https://coinut.com, which is a fair market for you to trade instead of betting, and I don't participate in any trades.
It seems that not many people buy it. Do you actually need it? Or it's simply because you just don't know its existence? What do you say?
726  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I start to provide liquidity by myself? on: October 15, 2014, 01:57:46 PM
it's possible to create a bot, but then I need to participate in the trading, which may compromise the fairness of the market.

Then you cannot provide the liquidity yourself. Whether you use a bot or not is unrelated to this issue.

Right, but it is difficult to bootstrap the liquidity. When there is no liquidity, users won't come, and when users don't come, there won't be any liquidity. Do you have any suggestions on this?

Why do you have two accounts? Roll Eyes

I applied this account a few years ago and used this account to publish https://workforbitcoin.com. You can see the avatar is still showing workforbitcoin.com.
I thought it's not very good to use this account to publish my new business https://coinut.com as I cannot change the avatar so I applied for a new account. But then people criticised that my new account is a Newbie account and not trustworthy so I had to switch back to this Full member account.
729  Other / Meta / Re: Why is it so hard to get people's trust? on: October 15, 2014, 03:03:03 AM
Helpful hint:

The trust system here is completely meaningless.

Why?

Because you can buy and sell other peoples' accounts. Ergo, you can buy trust.

Just because some prick buys a senior member account with a positive trust rating, it doesn't mean he isn't still a scamming prick who will use his newly-purchased account to cheat you.

Its simply poor form to give people here the benefit of the doubt. Its irrational to believe otherwise.

It's not completely meaningless. It's actually quite meaningful to me. My real name is Wang Xinxi. Can I buy an account with username "wangxinxi"? That seems not so easy, right?

it's possible to create a bot, but then I need to participate in the trading, which may compromise the fairness of the market. Also, my site is a Bitcoin options exchange, there is no other liquidity source. So I am in a cold-start stage.

the fact you got a username that could be seen making you a chinese scammer
makes me think hell no will you ever seen 1 Satoshi of my money
i'm sorry but noone will risk money with you

You are right, I also won't let any of you to risk money with me. I am a researcher, for whom integrity and honesty are the most basic and crucial characteristics. But could you please don't judge a person by his/her name like you shouldn't judge a person by his/her skin color?

Is that requirement technically implementable? I don't know any other exchange can do that.

Exchanges don't need to trust.  They have your coin/cash ahead of time.

The thing is that my site is also an exchange. It's a bitcoin options exchange, and people need to deposit before they can trade. I have done my best to publish weekly audit report, and I don't know any other sites can do this.

Right, but your exchange is simply you.  You are asking people to give cash and coins to you, while you live in a country that doesn't allow civil lawsuits.

Sorry, but I can't make it any clearer.   Undecided

You misunderstood what ANTIcentralized said.

I already told them my real name. That basically means they know who and where I am and what I am doing etc. Still they don't trust that my business is valid.

I'd guess because your name sounds Chinese.  There are over a billion Chinese, and no way to enforce a civil ruling in China.   Undecided

Is this really the problem? American people can flee to another country that is out of reach of America.
That is really not the problem. The problem is that the information you have provided will not allow people to recover stolen money from you in the event that you end up scamming. Until you give up something that would allow a scamee to recover their money from you if/when you steal from them, they will not trust you

Is that requirement technically implementable? I don't know any other exchanges can do that.
735  Economy / Trading Discussion / Should I start to provide liquidity by myself? on: October 14, 2014, 05:25:12 AM
As there is no liquidity provider, should I provide liquidity by myself in my exchange platform https://coinut.com?
736  Other / Meta / Re: Why is it so hard to get people's trust? on: October 14, 2014, 04:47:05 AM
To Vod: OK, that sounds a bit frustrating because that's not something that I can change. I live in Singapore instead of China by the way.

Thanks to all of you. The number of bad guys may be increasing. But good guys like you are still here to help people. BTW, I need a native speaker to proofread my site.
739  Other / Meta / Re: Why is it so hard to get people's trust? on: October 13, 2014, 07:44:03 PM
sorry I read that article two years ago, and I forget the details. And at that time I wanted to apply for a WOT account but did not do it because of the user unfriendly interface. I just obtained one. It's still not very smooth even though I am going to get my phd degree soon.

my wot nickname is wangxinxi.

Don't worry. I did not expect you would do anything. I just wanted to make the joke complete.  Smiley
But rest assured, I won't run away with people's money.
