721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay Calm, IEOs aren't a threat on: March 25, 2019, 07:34:45 PM
IEO projects builds the confidence of investors more than the ICO since it is being operated directly by the exchanges and investors can have people to hold responsible in the event that something goes wrong with the investment, because this is the assurance exchanges gives through the IEO that investors are in safe hand. Most IEO projects don’t also go through campaigns like ICO does.
IEO projects do go through campaigns like ICO does as I have seen few of these IEOs still promoting their projects through bounty campaigns. I believe campaign will still be a valuable tool in this new ecosystem.
722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What sites do you use to make your investment decisions? on: March 25, 2019, 06:36:12 PM
Before deciding which project to invest in, I always start my digging from the coinmarketcap and further move on to intensively analyse the project whitepaper and properly dissect every detail on the project's website and social media platforms. For ICOs, I rather wait till they hit the market before making my decision.
723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do when your coin spikes? on: March 25, 2019, 06:19:54 PM
I learn the hard way when I refused to sell during the last bullrun thinking market will always be rosy. A little spike at this point, I take my profit and move on or wait for dip to buy in again.
724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We should stop promoting ICOs who ask huge money for their soft/hardcap! on: March 25, 2019, 12:16:04 PM
I understand well your opinion and it is part of what some participants look for before promoting ICOs. But decision making should not be based solely on softcap or hardcap as the project will reasonable amount of softcap often underperform as well.
725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Locking Bounty Rewards To Avoid Dumping on: March 25, 2019, 11:50:26 AM
I do not care about this locked or unlocked bounty rewards issue. Most of these tokens are not even listed at all for months now. So, bounty hunters should not be blamed for any price dump.
726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about IEO (Initial Exchange Offering) on: March 25, 2019, 11:32:28 AM
The truth is ICOs can no longer survive on the tradition method of fundraising for their projects. The investors are out there on the sideline waiting for a kind of guarantee or assurance before jumping into any project. And here is IEO which offers a kind of guarantee knowing fully well that a lot of resources has been put together by the exchange into vesting the particular project. I think IEO ushers in new era and more guarantee way of raising funds for new projects.

728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Got burned! goodbye easy money! on: March 01, 2019, 08:38:25 PM
If you are entering cryptos for easy money, then this is not for you..try gambling instead !
I am holding btc from last 7 years..i don't regret at all

Anything money is not easy. I haven't explore the terrain, but I don't think money is easy to come by in gambling too considering its high risk factor.
729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should we be expecting a bull run? on: March 01, 2019, 08:03:42 PM
I do think the bear will end this year - we may have already seen the worst with the December drop to 100b cap. Not sure we'll see new ATHs this year though.
The whole market of late is positive and at any moment we might break another new high. Sure, we might not see new ATHs this year as what the market needs is steady, more organic price increase.
730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think ICO is a good way to raise money? on: March 01, 2019, 02:47:57 PM
ICO is a good way for what it is meant for, which is to raise funds for projects. However, I don't see it becoming any more sustainable or guaranteed given the many bad experience encountered by investors in the quest to invest in ICOs.
731  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too many exchanges? on: March 01, 2019, 12:43:07 PM
I want to believe that just a few exchange can not accommodate or list the whole thousands and yet to come coins/tokens. More exchanges, more listing varieties for projects.
732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: New Coins with huge ICO price on: March 01, 2019, 12:34:54 PM
What is your take on new tokens with unnecessarily large ICO prices? Scam or Genuine?

With such prices, their ICO usually takes a lot of time and people still invest, is there a possibility of it being a good project because I just stumbled on one now with with current ICO price of $2.74 and they intend on increasing it in the future
An ICO with such a price should be ready to offer the best product worth more than the price. It might not be a scam ICO, but given the market situation it will be impossible to maintain the price after listing. Expect heavy dump upon exchange listing.
733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance CEO Paints a Rosy Picture on: March 01, 2019, 12:23:24 PM
Since he operates the biggest exchange in the space. I think he is in a better position than ordinary trader like me to see or forsee things beyond scope. If he says the performance is better than 2018, then I take him for his words. And seeing what has transpired in the crypto world so far, I think it has been positive, couple with good news flying around.
734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Gold have a future? on: February 27, 2019, 12:55:15 PM
I have never been a supporter this bitcoin fork. For your interest, you can only know its future by following the project insitu and study what the developers are working on.
735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Union Bank of the Philippines Launching Cryptocurrency ATM on: February 27, 2019, 12:21:19 PM
Union Bank of the Philippines Launching Cryptocurrency ATM

Quote
One of the largest banks in the Philippines is reportedly launching a two-way cryptocurrency ATM that is in compliance with Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ specifications. In the Philippines, the central bank regulates cryptocurrencies “when used for delivery of financial services, particularly, for payments and remittances.”

https://news.bitcoin.com/union-bank-philippines-cryptocurrency-atm/

Another compelling moved that the Philippines is really working hard and getting closer to adopt bitcoin as one of the biggest bank in the country is launching a crypto ATM. Union Bank seems to be spearheading this, and as far as I can remember this bank is one of the first if not the first to integrate Paypal as well in the country. So let's see how it goes.

This is the kind of good news that gives me hope that cryptocurrency is here to stay and a bright future awaits this tech. Other institutions alike will be make their moves without fear to support the development of cryptocurrency, giving room for more adoption.
736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are your expectations for ICOs in 2019? on: February 27, 2019, 12:09:41 PM
we will see if the icos will keep ruling again in crypto market as they did before. 2017 was a very briliant year for all new projects and icos. there were so many excited people that invest in them.
To be realistic, can we really see the kind of ICO performance of 2017 again? I doubt it given the plagues that has eaten deep into the ecosystem, scam especially.
737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Old coins vs new coins on: February 27, 2019, 11:28:56 AM
I guess the problem now is not really new or old but how solid the project is,some new project are actually doing well and have got great prospect.
While some old projects are struggling to stay alive and afloat. Some projects are even temporarily on hold waiting on the bull market to inject more life into them. It goes both ways for both old and new projects. The most important thing is to key into coins with great prospect, either old or new.
738  Economy / Economics / Re: One small step for Bitcoin one giant leap for Crypto on: February 26, 2019, 10:21:39 PM
Hold your horses, it is not simple as that. Whatever the reason is a big good news for us who bought at ATH. I think saw an article about Samsung's new smartphone being able to hold crypto currency private keys. Well it shows that the bigger companies are the ones we need in order to push the price back again to where it belongs when it was 2017 DEC.
This is a big good news for the crypto community that could have set the market on the bullrun. However, gone are those periods where mere exchange listing or a slight of this kind of development or news would move the market dramatically. I think we are on the path of stability and steady growth.
739  Economy / Economics / Re: what will happens if everyone has own currency, doesn't a bad for Economics ? on: February 26, 2019, 10:00:51 PM
It might have been better if each country instead of each individual will own their cryptocurrency. Why does no one ever think of that.

It affect the market a little but at the same time adapts tonthe future of crypto.

If each individual will when a currency there will be q lot of trash around and the value of "crypto" will be lessen.
I think the government will not do that. we know that crypto is a threat to the local currency. if the government makes a crypto
currency. then it would be the same they gave a chance for their local currency to be replaced by crypto. its not gonna happen
Institutions we were once thinking are anti-crypto are now getting involved. Governments might eventually get to create their own cryptocurrencies too. Just that they won't have decentralisation and anonymity as their core features. And it won't take long before they find a balance between their crypto and their local currency.
740  Economy / Economics / Re: the future of crypto is good or bad on: February 26, 2019, 09:52:50 PM
The future of crypto will be what we make it to be. Now is the future and the future starts here. Seeing the atmosphere in the cryptospace is healthy enough and there are developments, innovations, and new projects coming up every day, it is without doubt that the future of crypto will be good. Just take position now.
