It can also go in different results. Those that have bad experiences can also have the mindset that they should win and chase those losses and as result, they get hooked and will repeat the cycle of beating the house and recovering their losses.

The realization is the hardest part for a gambler specially for the newbies.

They'll have to think that they can easily recover any amount of money that is lost to them.
There are people who are good in dealing with the finances - they gamble on their money. Put them in trouble and get out of it.
But then there are people who are losers and they put others in trouble and gamble on their money. These kind of people are worse of all.

It is true Chinese people are well connected with their traditional activities. This is the reason why gambling got more importance during the early stages. Gambling in the early days were used as a means of entertainment, but in the later days the change happened. Surely there'll be some Chinese people who doesn't gamble, and if you go through different games they play in their regions it'll be very different and interesting.
Different cultures different mindsets - chinese are very different people they have no mercy for the other people - they go with their mind.
But what happens when the loan is lost and you are in double debt - I am just going through the same situation of losing the loan amount and I am having sleepless nights how I am going to pay off the debt. Strong people who manages the finances this way.
723  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: July 31, 2022, 11:51:54 PM

Everything is upon one's self control. If the gambler realise he's losing then surely he'll find way to come out of it. Her very few get out without much difficulty, whereas majority lacks control which makes them go for recovering back the losses. At some point everyone understand only the luckiest is able to make money whereas for others it is just a platform to spend time and money.
History of gambling goes back to the beginning of the world.
So it is hard to find who actually started it and how it started. But the exchange of money and good remained there. And today we have witnessed a very modern gambling.
724  Economy / Economics / Re: is it possible that the bitcoin was created by governments? on: July 31, 2022, 06:27:44 PM
According to conspiracy theory, Is it possible that the bitcoin was created by governments to gain financial strength in the modern world?
There is absolutely no connection bitcoin created by the government, the concept of decentralized bitcoin development, this will affect the financial system involving the government, so far there has been no strong reference that says bitcoin is created by the government, conspiracy theories also cannot be associated with bitcoin travel. Even if this is the case, bitcoin can be regulated as the dollar reacts in an increase or decrease in price, in general this relationship has no correlation that can be attributed to existing data and sources
Different mindsets different ideas, but this cannot seem to be a practical idea.
However maybe in the days to come. Things will get better and more people will get benefited from crypto, through proper research and education
725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 31, 2022, 06:20:35 PM
Virat Kohli should have been given a chance in the series against Zimbabwe. He has been out of form for three long years.
This is such a bad idea. Everyone asked him to take a long break which is why the BCCI is honouring that. Kohli needs to learn from his recent mistakes in order to improve and move forward.

There is no substitute for Virat Kohli other than taking a break. He has not been performing well for quite a long time. I think we all can agree that a lot of experienced people told him to take a break a long time ago but he did not listen. He is in a deep hole from which it will be very difficult for him to ever come out of unless he changes certain things and certain environments in his life. He should come out of the world of politics and Bollywood. And should focus on improving his cricketing skills. I only think that this is going to be better for his career. In my opinion, they are doing Virat Kohli a favor.
There is good and bad time - sometime good time last for a smaller period of time.
But it's not a bad idea to take a break for sometime and come back fresh or he is an amazing man - an amazing player too. But every player has a golden era and then comes the finishing line.
726  Other / Politics & Society / Re: High inflation is causing GLOBAL protests on: July 31, 2022, 06:16:51 PM
The COVID-19 pandemic only takes as much blame as the bad government policy does. The lockdowns weren't required, the money printing wasn't required either. The government could've taken mitigation efforts without shutting businesses down and causing entire industries to be shut down. Inflation effects the poor the most, so I understand why there are global protests. My point is, the anger should be directed at the government officials who decided they had the authority to cease any "non-essential" economic activity.

Of course. Governments' policies is what has mostly impacted the economy in the first place. Constant money printing and heavy spending has led us to the point where we are right now. The Russia-Ukraine war made matters worst, so it's going to take quite a while before things go back to normal (if they ever will). I couldn't imagine an scenario where hyperinflation would destroy Fiat in its entirety. If that happens, then we'd be doomed.

My guess is that either we'll return to the Gold standard or switch to the Bitcoin standard altogether. No one can predict the future so we can only hope for the best. Just my opinion Smiley
These protest are not going to help anyway - you suffer mental stress.
The only solution is to have financial freedom. And that is something which will work. Otherwise you will have stress and stress only.
727  Economy / Economics / Re: Share your Money management strategy on: July 31, 2022, 06:13:36 PM
Of a truth many people don't know how to manage what they have simple because they have surplus order started having it with a surplus that is why some people like the knowledge of maintaining word that have so they are many people today who returned to poverty because of they are not opportuned to control the initial thing they have. If someone want to be in control or control his wealth it should be started from what others have done that is a copy their own strategies of controlling investment because everything get by learning as their physical experience from what they observed before
We learn managing money time to time, by making mistakes and by going through some hard time.
But everyone learns through think and thin. But at the end what you learn is you are your only true friend. And what matters is you. So keep yourself healthy and happy!
728  Economy / Economics / Re: How much food can you store for survival?3 on: July 31, 2022, 06:10:52 PM
People's answer will vary from person to person depending on their location and how things are, I will give an answer based on my location and the current situation of things. To survive for a long time in Nigeria there are some essentials that you must consider, we usually have personal boreholes and do not depend on the government for water supply as well as gas for cooking, Electricity has never been constant so PMS in drums(if possible) is a must have to power your borehole most importantly first. If you plan surviving for a long time keeping foodstuffs that need refrigerating or be kept frozen may be a bad idea as it will mean that you PMS is at the risk of finishing faster. Keeping grains, cereals, tubers and lots of processed products plus enough of the things needed for the grains to be edible is what is adviced.

I say this having experienced a very serious total lockdown for over twenty five days alone on my own.
Of Course - also there is another option of having an organic garden too. So that you get some fresh fruits and vegetables at home.
some people also keep poultry at home - so rather than storage have some organic regular supply at home.
729  Economy / Economics / Re: How Will Investing Help the Economy of a Country on: July 31, 2022, 04:49:36 PM
With the development of our era, we cannot deny that human labor in several sectors will be replaced by machines.
for business people of course it is very profitable and can reduce expenses,
and maybe in the future there will be a lot of unemployment if machine technology continues to develop
Unemployment will occur if the skills of many people are no longer relied on at this time, but as long as human skills can still be used for something, then there will not be so many unemployed people born in the future as well as today. That's why it's better to create their own jobs with modest abilities if someone already has the expertise to make money on a daily basis.
I think university should make one skill mandatory for the student and so should the school .. a skilled person can lose the money but he can earn on the same time.
However - also there is an other element which is luck - if it is there you can survive. otherwise you are fucked up!
730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The characteristics of people who are addicted to online gambling on: July 31, 2022, 04:46:31 PM
That's a valid point. When comparing the addiction of gambling with drugs the latter has more weight due to the physical side effects of drugs on the body.
If our health is good we can still make money but if our health is not supporting us then it is very difficult to make money.
As they say, health is wealth. But ofcourse both the addictions are bad since they can both lead to death.

At some point we can't compare this two because they are in different scenario but there's almost the same thing about it as well. People change their life when they are addicted to something, it can also cause other people to lose their love ones because of their behavior. It will also reflect to your physical appearance, those who fall into addiction give less attention to their body and hygiene.
I believe one should indulge oneself in good and healthy activities to keep them away from unnecessary trouble. With the advancement of technology we are more vulnerable to the frauds and problems. I think one should limit their screen time and keep oneself away from the computer for a health mind and body.
731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on Psychology & Sociology Perspectives. on: July 31, 2022, 04:40:46 PM
I find this thread as a thread of merging several topics about gambling and it's a good one. For the first one, there's the relation and sort of feng shui to it and that's why they want to test their luck. Yeah, what a way to test your luck and it's part of their culture so there's no question to that whether they're in for entertainment or for money.

I think with these researches, they're on point and we as gamblers will really have something to say and reason out for the decisions that we're about to do. Whatever is our purpose, there's something of its cause that we want to achieve and if it's not achieved by us, we tend to say another reason which is also valid upon explanation just to hide the actual reason out of our frustration.
I think sometime even we believe that we are very smart - we fail and we fail terribly.
There we learn the hard way that life is not as we plan and there is surly super power which is running the world.
732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Most Expensive Thing Bought with Winnings from the Casino or Sport Bet on: July 25, 2022, 08:32:54 PM

I do admire your thought of being selfless but we have the government for that.  We pay taxes to the government so that government can take care of our underprivileged fellows.  Helping neighbors is good but it is not our responsibility to spoonfeed them.  The first rule is to be self-sufficient and save extra, if we meet that criteria then we can extend our hands to those who are in need further and longer.
We must all spare some money to help each other or to donate to charity. This keeps our spirit alive too
Otherwise sometime we are so lost that we forget that this world is immortal and we are here for the time being.
I  brought myself a designer sofa. Which is the best purchase I have made.
733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on Psychology & Sociology Perspectives. on: July 25, 2022, 08:28:44 PM
Me going home with empty pocket is not very entertaining at all. I don't think it would before majority of the people who has wife and kids. It may be for the rich who are not having money problems but finance is always the reason for wife and husbands quarrel, you get entertained in the casino but at home will not be entertaining.

The Chinese has distinctive look of things and gambling is among it but one reason gambling is ban in China is probably because gambling produces more dysfunctional families so they created an isolated place where only rich are able to gamble.

Gambling may be part of Chinese culture but I don’t see it compulsory for everyone. That is why even if the Communist party has banned gambling, there is still a city left where all gamblers are safe to engage in their pursuit. I guess this is done as part of respecting their ancestors culture as no matter what banning the government will do, there will always be people who prefer gambling in most of their lives. Although gambling is a test of luck for Chinese, but it’s still a clear evidence that people gamble to try out their luck and still aim to make fortune.
sometime when people are in need of money and they are desperate to get it they jump into the gambling - they come either successful or unsuccessful
but they do give it a try in the time of depression - may be due to their own trouble, to make the love happy - or any medical urgency. sometime we all are become so helpless and makes mistake.
734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Profitable are Gambling Bots? on: July 25, 2022, 08:24:50 PM
I don't feel thrill when I'm using bots in gambling, it only made my job easier but sometimes it will lead me to more losses because with bots, you do less effort and that could sometimes to result on more gambling time for me.

How can a bot lead you to more losses? I think you can always set your own gambling funds and you'll never get more losses as long as you know how to limit yourself. There is always a way to set up a limit on loses or wins, means that whenever the bot hits what you have set then the bot will stop.
Probably not tested strategy or it is poor money management, gambling bots make it easy to lose if gambler still loses with same strategy playing manually. I have used several gambling bots and even in code mode it is going long loss streaks before climbing back but applying reverse martingale management makes graph curve beautiful.  Stopping at long loss streak requires proper money management, otherwise, it will eat whole balance sooner or later, IMO.
Bots hold an important position in social media and gambling.
social media managers use them to show that they have good population on their pages and many people are making engagements - While the gamblers use them to check the strategies. In both ways they are helpful but the excess of everything is bad.
735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The characteristics of people who are addicted to online gambling on: July 25, 2022, 08:21:25 PM
Well, talking about this topic, I believe that all things is random, and we cannot get something 100% assertive, because each human being/gambler can have a type of characteristic, or maybe a compilation of it all.

Inattentiveness, irritability, decreased focus, anxiety, or similar symptoms.
But of course not ALL addicts will have these symptoms, perhaps a portion.
Each human can responds in a certain way with respect to a certain stimulus.

I believe that a way to have a more precise answer would be read some scientific articles/papers in platforms about this theme.
I have noticed one thing - and that is those who are too greedy about money that they can use anyone for their benefit,
Some people are too simple that they get trapped in the games of those sharp minded people.
I have suffered so much and seen dual faces of the people. Still not sure what I have to do with myself.
736  Economy / Economics / Re: How Will Investing Help the Economy of a Country on: July 25, 2022, 08:07:13 PM
From the way I understand my own way of investment in a country. I saw it like something that we help the country to increase their economy because any country who invest anything in order to support and boost the country source of getting money or generating income is not way of reducing unemployment because investment is different from unemployment it is when your investment  or matured is when you will talk of reducing unemployment.
I think freelancing is a also more productive - it brings in foreign currency and it is also helpful in brings work to the beginners without any investment .
Here is our country people invest in government schemes and they trust those as well. So a big deposit and investment is made in those accounts.
737  Economy / Economics / Re: How much food can you store for survival?3 on: July 25, 2022, 08:00:17 PM
Well to all thanks for info.

With monkey pox growing worldwide
With polio coming back to USA first case in 11 years
With continued covid variant whatever.

With New Jersey now having tornadoes 5x as much as they used to have. Still not that many.

With hurricanes being stronger and more often.

Plus my lovely government  as many others does not seem to know WTF it is doing

I dwell on what to do for some safety.

In case of minor major issue.

Any 1 year problem means Death as a very likely outcome.

But shorter issues happen more.

long power outages due to storms are big now.
I always keep 7 to days worth of food and water.
I also have propane generator.
Some guns ammo
and a few bulletproof vests.

Not sure what more I should do.

If USA goes to a civil war I do not expect to survive that.

But longer storm issues are going to happen.
I think we need to have a dry fruits and biscuits and water bottle. To save up oneself from any energy if there is any looming
But there is no need to save so much extra food. Because sometime that doesn't happen at all.
738  Economy / Economics / Re: Share your Money management strategy on: July 25, 2022, 07:56:29 PM
You always have to have a finance manager above any strategy in priority, there are very good apps out there, I am surprised that they mention excells in the case of trading, there is an app where you can project your action plans or market strategies .

A finance manager(App) is as important that it becomes your best ally to make alerts about how things are going and then you can to make changes.

This type of activity, for example, trading cryptocurrencies is very lonely, and you may be making mistakes that you do not see or can determine, but a financial manager (app) can help you and assess whether your plan is bearing fruit.

Investment plans or strategies are sometimes like cooking recipes, you can follow them to the letter but they are not the same, they never taste the same.

The best advice I have read so far is that you don't look up to other people for the help but you cut down your expenses when you are in trouble.
Also money management techniques comes with time and mistake you do. As you grow older - you get to know more about the society but then again every time you are learning and it never stops.
739  Economy / Economics / Re: Euro currency going down on: July 25, 2022, 07:45:59 PM
The rapid change between euro and dollar upsets the balance... Countries exporting products to Europe will receive low-value Euros. Then they will import raw materials with high-value dollars from the global market for the products they will manufacture. At this point they will experience an imbalance. They can fix this problem by rearranging their prices. However, those who cannot follow the rapid change closely will have some losses. As a result, we are talking about a temporary problem that could undermine production and prices. We can all be affected by this.

I am in a country where we receive payments with the local currencies with some exception for people like me who are here because of International companies and get paid in our preferred currency, most people here are greatly irritated because the prices are in EUR and EUR used to be much stronger than the local currency but now they are happy and are even blaming more the EUR to go further down to get our lost "financial freedom" they say.I also am someone who gets paid in USD and USD is my favorite currency so as long as USD does well I don't really care if EUR goes further down.EUR has really destroyed many EU economies, especially Italy which used to be a great country when they had the "Liretta" coin and after EUR screwed them up,then Greece and a couple of others.

So it depend from the point of view, for some EUR goes down bring losses for some other profit.
and they did that damage to themselves.
I have mentioned in so many forum before to take a neutral stance - the EU went far beyond to put sanctions on Russia and now the other countries are rushing to Russia for oil supply and EU is look here and there like a fool what to do next.
740  Other / Politics & Society / Re: High inflation is causing GLOBAL protests on: July 25, 2022, 07:41:59 PM

The thing is, when you have a protest, it is always about every person, but there is no roadmap to fixing it. I mean think about it this way, let's say you have a president that failed to make the country better and you guys are doing horrible, that's actually quite a few nations explained.

80% of the people protests, and they make the president go away, and now you are rid of the person who destroyed your nation. What's next? That's the problem, that's why it would never be fixed, we need to make sure that there are organizations and people who would take over and actually do well with the people, and there are rarely any in most protests and that's why it never gets better.
The protests are not going to work. The only solution is to earn more money and try to live within your means
Hold you expenses for time being and try taking out loans. Life will be okie.
But this is high time and one need to look into all what is going in the world.
