mintpal only adds a new coin every 2 days, and DRK was added today so it won't be added tomorrow
Are you sure about that? I thought it whas once a week? Yes i am sure, i actually spoke to someone at mintpal via twitter because i was unsure myself at the time. But they said every 2 days they select the top coin from the voting section, and the day in between they choose a coin themselves.. Makes sense because today they added Dark coin, 2 days ago they added TAK, those were both the top voted coins. and yesterday they added LTC which was their selection Awesome news! Hopefully it'll help the coin take off. How did Takeicoin and Darkcoin do after they were added? Unfortunately neither really fared too well, but it's still really early. Just fairly stable. I think we have the advantage though, since we're still one of those 'penny' stocks relatively speaking. The cheaper coins usually are the ones who benefit most on mintpal. I will love seeing it soar and overtake panda on the same exchange  Hopefully my btc purchase I put in for Friday comes thru quicker. I want to buy them before they go on the exchange. I only have 46K mined. (Long story, graphics card so old it's not opencl compatible.) If Peng and mrc are at 7 to 8 satoshis over there, I can only expect a huge increase for us. Well, wolong's panda costs 7 satoshi, while this one costs 3. And seriously, we need a different logo. Using the wolong's one is really dumb. WORD! remove wolong... update everything that has that logo in it...  Good luck with that. I've been trying to push the coin dev to adopt a new logo, but she doesn't really seem to see the 'need' for one. She also said she doesn't 'like' the new logo presented in this thread, and when I asked why...she just said 'i don't know, I just don't.' She also wasn't particularly keen to the 'charity' angle of this coin, so I don't even know what she really wants right now. Oh well, at least I'm actually trying. I sold off half my pnd, and will still check up on the activity, but I think for now it's time for me to branch off and diversify. Hope this community really finds some direction and takes off like we all think it should. well pls miss... can you give us a little information whats going on behind the scenes... Also legitimise the coin more. You are totally right, couldn't agree more! well i like the logo though... but dont you think it confuses people? 2 coins with same logo seems confusing... Exactly. Either we're going to branch out and create our own identity, or forever be engulfed in our past. Having two coins with the same logo is never a good thing...unless your sole intention is to keep trolling the other coin. the idea is to have the wolong one slowly disappear from use. eventually even the newbies will read the thread and figure out to not mine or trade it. people will just forget it ever existed after a while so it wouldnt matter that 2 coins now look the same, soon there is only 1 coin people will be looking at. I think that's just taking the passive approach and 'assuming' things will just happen. Though we know the panda scandal has been revealed, we certainly don't know the plans of the devs and shouldn't automatically assume they'll do something that will help our cause. We need to be proactive with our approach and forge our own way. Oh well. I think I'm pretty much done rehashing these points...at this point I guess I'll just have to trust in the dev and that she knows what she's doing and really wants this coin to succeed. |

Looks like the market is not being extremely manipulated at the moment, otherwise price should spike more. It somehow shows that people are giving some value actual to the coin, and it is not getting horribly dumped. Now we are seeing how Topcoin is leaving the dumpers and reaching speculators. With the block halvings, I don't doubt that this is gonna get very interesting. And I am talking about the psychological effect, not exactly about effect on supply.
Checking the behavior this afternoon, I think the pump has resulted in a new 'bottom' for the coin, which more accurately reflects the price based on mining reward (it certainly was undervalued before). The fact that it has held steady in the 10-12 range looks very promising. I certainly do not expect the block reward of 1 only 13 days from now to make the price any less expensive, either. It'll be interesting where this goes, but I'm holding in the meanwhile, as this seems like very low risk at this point. |

Yeah lol and then 8 BTC got bought up :L The pumper are playing with about 100btc, it will be no problem for him to pump TOP to the top. He will slowly make all weakhands with big amounts to sell cheap, so then he could make the ride w/o losing much. What do you guys think he will just buy all sell walls with all his money in 1minute, lol, it's not how it works.

Think I may just hold onto my 43m until 13 days from now when it goes down to 1 coin per block then.
Potential goldmine :L if you got in under 5 you probably won't ever make a loss on Top. Got in right at 5 this morning after reading this forum, had to scoop all the rest available lol. Perfect, I got in at 8 was a little slow but too focused on Mint. Wish the best to both of us! |
