The effect on the planet of 21 billion trees would be great but yes it's never gonna happen... And wouldn't a big tree be worth more than a sprout ?  How much does 1 seed cost? We can do that! buying seeds and planting them is actually a great idea i will donate 100k for first seed planted ( you need to post picture of you planting seed... with leafcoin written on paper... + date ). I have 15K we can add. Can I send it to you @mgc? might want to make a seperate thread for this..... keep it as long as i dont have the donation stuff setup. if someone comes in first... lets donate all to him. or her for that matter Why not all of us donate to @mcg and then start giving fixed amounts to users planting seeds in another thread . It will encourage more users to plant more seed and make earth more greener. My 0.02 Green LEAFS ok i will setup the thread. |

The trees are live, who about to help some people of countrys, when the fire destroys the forest , maybe with this coin all can help to implement new trees, is a idea, sorry for my bad english
you are talking about where nature is destroyed by fires like just recently in australia? i think we must just support the rainforest... fires caused by lightning etc will set fields ablaze but nature will recover automatically from that ( if my info is correct ).... i think we mainly need to support re-forestment of human-inflicted de-forestments. |

Just a thought on the whole "green" thing.
It may be seen as a little bit hypocritical, given the large amount of electricity that would be used to mine it in the first palace. However, if there were an element given back it could be a novelty that sets the coin apart and certainly may be looked upon positively by any media that choose to discuss cryptocurrency. Needs to be done in such a way that it is distinguished from "earthcoin" that could also be misinterpreted as having any "green" credentials.
Have several ideas that could be developed for this coin, but need to discuss with a web developer, and perhaps graphics guy.

Sure, I am gonna donate some for forests!
well, i was thinking... all those other coins generate pollution... electricity = pollution. by returning a favor to the rainforest by using coins to replant trees there. we could be the first co2-"neutral" coin. well, not neutral... but less polluting. making it a green coin. i think something like this will be the story of the coin. |
