721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to control greed on gambling? on: July 05, 2017, 06:35:35 AM
I experience this same infect of greed in the years 2011 when I went into betting and gambling. I find out that actually betting is a game of chance and your should not invest the money you cannot afford to lose into gambling and you should not jump into gambling without prior knowledge on how gambling has an inherent risk and reward in it. Greed is the number one enemy of a gambler. Those that succeed are those that are able to control their emotions and invest based on reality. What I do tell people is invest just 2 to 3 percent of your risk capital and no matter the temptation stick to that plan until you became successful.

This will be never easy to recover right because people from everywhere will greed on money for sure I think. It make the decision of our living standard. I have some of friends who lost many amount risky investment and gambling kind of option available to earn btc or Fiat.
when talking about money there will always a greed involve.
actually between be positive about to become more successful or greedy is a little bit similar.
just the way how people have a point of view about that , but i think in this case gambling greedy not included.
and specially when we are talking about gambling, where the only thinking is to make money, i think 99% people come to casino to make money, and most of the people thinking that they will play gambling for some time when they will make a big money there then they will leave gambling but in fact when he start it then it become difficult for him to stop in both cases, either he is making money losing it. he like to continue gambling and become addicted.

That is the whole thing about gambling. It is able to make you addicted to gambling and it is no longer about winning. You will be visiting the casino over and over again just to play more and more even when you know you are going to lose it again. It will become a habit and it will be hard to get rid of it.

The fourth day has just started but the total investment has already reached more than 2.5 Million USD. There are many investors in this project because of its very promising visions. May there will be more and more investors in the next days but for now, I can say it's already a successful ICO.
I notice that every campaign that manage by yahoo the project are always successful lot of investors comes even at 1st day of launching of the project that is why i am not doubt to invest because when project got successful me and i will be benefited and more profit to come.
You're right, sir yahoo already got the trust of a lot of investors. It always becomes successful. Investing to their projects will not only benefit the project but also the investors investing in the project. Their projects are really good, looking forward to work in these projects.

This is really a good sign for the future of the project! It already showed potential on the first few days and now, the investments skyrocketed up to 2.5 Million USD! I can say that the campaign was planned carefully from the beginning and investors are already giving their trust to sir yahoo. I also look forward for working on your projects and I wish more luck for the continuous success of it!
Please note that the 2.5 Milion USD raised was based yesterday. At the current time, it is now more than 3.6 Million USD. Maybe you have to follow the project more often for updates.

Yup. It is 3.6mil now and it is closer to 3.7mil. So far it is only 5 days into the pre-ICO and there is 9 more days to go. Also dont forget that this is only consider the 1st wave. The ICO will continue to raise the money for a whole 2 months in july and august. However, the bonus will get lesser and therefore the fund raise will be slower but i foresee once it crosses the 10 million boundary, the price of the dimcoin will start to skyrocket from there, and more people will flow in for rising dimcoin.

Whoever guess the final ICO raised will get 10 XEM.  My guess is $30,000,000 .  OP, please pitch in with the rewards to get this thread active.  Can you reward us 1000 Dimcoins to whoever guess the closest to the final price.

Things will slow down as times go. Usually the first day will be the more crazy and after that things will come in much slower. I also hope that it can raise 30mil$ so that all the token will be sold out and the value of the dimcoin will increase!

I think they have the max of $10,000,000 which equals to 10,000,000 tokens

That is only the 1st wave. These 10mil tokens will be sold at $1 each. If the raised amount increases to more than $10mil, each dimcoin will be sold at $0.02 instead and increases for every 2mil. So the max price a dimcoin can be sold is currently at $0.12 when the amount of $30mil is hit.

I am very interested in this ICO. I have been avoiding ICO for quite a long time because of numerous bad experience. I hope this ICO will prove that my change is right.

After having a bad experience, let's look at ico in detail. Hopefully many of these projects are not like your bad experiences.

I really do hope so. Dimcoin definitely looks great for now but in the future, a lot of things can change and i have experience that. So i just pray hard this time round, it will works out well for all of us here.
I am hopeful that this project will become more successful not only in ICO but after it is added in exchange, I am also hope that this project will reach to its going, due to is professionalism and expert staff behind.
Yes I also notice that the team of this project is very expert and there is much more professionalism in their planning which shows that they are well prepared for the competition and they will struggle for the success so we have to stay with them.

That is actually the key reason why i decide to join in the dimcoin ICO. So far, it has a great presentation, ideas that is carefully craft out that is practically and useful, and what i love most is that it is not over optimistic about it own future. There is a lot of coins that claimed to be very successful because of its own structure but end up dev just dump the project and there is no progression regardless of how much potential it has.

727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: July 03, 2017, 10:56:49 AM
I was regularly betting on sports and I usually broke even, but when I started to lose a bit and get emotions to control my betting then I just pulled out and haven't betted in a year or two.

This is amazing, you are able to distance yourself from gambling with not much of an issue. This is definitely not easy for a lot of people out there. They will try to avoid for days or weeks, but within a month or 2, they will still end up coming back to gamble for more. It has already been a habit for them.
728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Many Casinos Are There in Your Country? on: July 03, 2017, 10:55:16 AM
We have 2 big casino in my country. Not a huge country so 2 casino is already considered a lot provided the space is very limited in my country. The funny thing is that our government 20 years ago say that they wont build casino, but now we alrdy have 2.
729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to make sure you don't lose money on: July 03, 2017, 10:50:32 AM
We are talking here about Gambling and it is impossible not to lose money on this track, this thing is only compose of two situations, either you win or lose, and if you want to lose any money, then just simply not go to the gambling world, because if you get yourself in and get addicted on it, it would be hard for you to get out and quit because you are losing too much.

I also agreed that if you really dont want to lose any money, just dont go and gamble. Gambling games are designed to make you lose so they can get the profits for themselves. Gambling should be treated as a form of entertaining and be prepared to lose when you want to get yourself entertained.
730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is better? To gamble or to invest? on: July 03, 2017, 10:48:36 AM
Investing is a good thing, gambling is a bad thing.
In investing, the odds are in your favor; in gambling, the odds are against you.

sometime investing can be a bad thing, when you are wrong choosing investment and your money gone
but to be a gambler there is no good thing, only bad thing
you can choose whatever you want Smiley

I agreed. In gambling, you will tend to lose the more you gamble. The chance of winning is getting lesser and lesser. On the other hand, trading or investment has made you lose money but you can gain experience from it. Losing money means someone wiser than you can get your money, so when you grew more wise, you will learn how to get money from others.

You are right. This project sounds typically different. You would have got chances to avoid your bad experiences just listening to this community or just by spending time to follow a project keenly and by checking their whitepaper.
I believe just one ICO may recover your losses and that ICO may be Dimcoin's too.

Well the previous ICO i invested in also have good community support, sound team dev, good prospect from the whitepaper and also have a demo website etc. It still turned out to be a scam and the wallet stop working after 1-2months. Lost everything. It is still a crazy experience.

hi dimcoin/all!

love to invest in this ICO, I am using depot wallet.

please can you confirm that the XEM address to send to is the one listed on the ICO page after clicking "Invest with XEM"

Also how are you calculating how many XEM is required for each DIM package on depot wallet? there doesn't seem to be a way to convert the correct amount of XEM for each package unless i'm missing something?

thanks for your help!

Where to get the depot wallet. Is there any official place i can download? It never state any link in dimcoin website.

The wallet is in the first page, here the link https://depotwallet.com/

Thanks for the help. It is kind of silly of me to miss that. I was focusing on the website and facebook but there is none.

734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to attract investors (500 BTC) for new betting concept on: June 22, 2017, 03:55:16 PM
There is a lot of people having the same idea as you and each of them have their own merits. so you need to find ways how you can differentiate yourself from them. You can have a look at the different ICO out there and see which one is attractive and find out the reasons why and so on. Marry all these reasons together and you will have a solid plan.
735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst mistake in gambling on: June 22, 2017, 12:00:27 PM

if you place that bet in current rate it is around $500 and yes it is one of the worst mistake you have made.

It is still a small amount compared to what others play in las vegas. Yes we cant compare ourselves to another because not everyone who gamble posses the same fortune. In the end , everything is just going to be based on wether we can afford it or not, if we can afford over $1000 then it is fine to play with that amount

Different people will have different limits. So even like 0.1btc can means a lot to some of us in this forum. On the other hand, i do know of people losing like 10-50btc in a month or so and they are still gambling non stop months after months.
736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: June 22, 2017, 11:58:53 AM
people think that gambling is easy but gambling need some stratigy and skills i think it is not easy .

gambling is easy to pick up but how well you play it is a different story. So that is why gambling is so easily attract so many people to try it out but in order to win it, it will not be easy at all.
737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When to leave the game? on: June 22, 2017, 11:57:03 AM
Ive been there playing the game and wanted to leave and stop the game. So whenever Im winning I felt to stop playing gambling just to be safe. And If I lose in btc that time, I had no choice but to leave already. This way I can stop because I feel I dont have lucky into playing gambling.

It is glad that you set a limit to your winnings. A lot of people have experience some profit and then they will tend to push it to gain more and some really manage to do it by increases their winning further, but this does not means that they will stop cause they will always believe in winning more. But the more they gamble, they will realise that they cant beat the game and that is where they will lose all their winnings.
738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: June 22, 2017, 11:16:58 AM
Do you gamble for fun or for profit?

For me, my reason in gambling is to have fun, because I know my limitation in comes from gambling and I know how I will be frustrated if ever I losses so much money.

All of us, must know that gambling is for fun not the source of income because if you became addictive in gambling there are so much negative effect will affect you and you will be greedy in winning and be frustrating when you lose in reverse.

It is very nice to see so many people are awared that gambling is definitely not a good source of income. It is extremely hard to profit from gambling. However, yet there is still a lot of people out there that are overly addicted to gamble that they have to destroy their own future.
739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Favorite type of gambling? on: June 22, 2017, 10:36:27 AM
i prefer dice , roulette , dice
i don't like the blackjack

I do like blackjack. In fact, it is more easily to play  blackjack with a little bit of higher chance than other games. You are able to determine the outcome of your cards so you can decide whether to hit or let. However, unless you are very good in calculate, it is always not easy to say the shot.
740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: May 25, 2017, 04:51:43 PM
it's really true that giving up gambling is not easy, according to one of my friends, it's like a drug addiction, gambling is nothing but the greediness of earning money without an effort. people sometimes become so greedy that is why they take risk more and more but ultimately their effort in ended in smoke. but greediness of money again allures them to take participate in gambling.
Giving up on playing gambling is really tough especially if you are addicted to it. We became addicted because when the time we lose, we tend to try to come back and even if we won we also tend to get more profit. Gambling isn't bad especially if you use it as for fun however if you always gamble it is bad not only for mind but also on health.
Whether you are addicted or not you can always control your self by not playing gambling for only 1 day every one can do it unless you don't have discipline on your self. We tend to chase our loses but when we just accept the fact of we lose and try to come back later / in another day maybe it can help us not to stress out our self to play more on gambling.

I found that meditation helps with most problems.
Once you start meditating you'll realize your shortcomes, you'll feel peaceful about them and will be able to solve them Wink

You need not have to do the meditation on your own. It is not easy especially if you are overly addicted in gambling. You can approach professional help that is able to select effective measures to tackle your problems. It involves meditation, strengthening of will power, identify possible traps and triggers, avoid pitfall and many others.
