3. Forum Stats: You will see many interesting statistics about the forum at the bottom of the home page, it will become more interesting after clicking on the "More Stats" hyperlink.

Just for the record, forum stats are kind of mixed the monthly summary haven't been updated since December 2017 while all the other information on the page seems to be up-to-date (not sure).

But on that page we can see some fascinating stats especially under the most online section, look at the random newbies with zero posts and always online, and I always wonder what data they are scrapping from bitcointalk and how the hell is possible to have 63 years online stats when the forum itself is just 14 years old.

350 is enough, Nah at least 450 cause the batting depth of India is way down the order and everyone is great form since Asia cup so no matter how much Afghanistan scored it won't be enough compared to team India.

But I really appreciate the effort of AFG batting lineup today because they at least put up a decent total against team like India and few batsmen scored good runs too but the track suited for hitman batting style and he took away the match in the first 10 or 15 overs itself with the way he batted and no bowler gave any threat at all.

350 would have been difficult for India. Shubman Gill is out as a result of dengue fever, and the openers are not scoring enough runs for India (especially Ishan Kishan, as Rohit Sharma scored 131 against Afghanistan today). Then there is weakness in the middle order, with KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya not being consistent with the bat. BTW, Naveen-ul-Haq was the most economical bowler for Afghanistan today, going for 5-0-31-0. Almost everyone else went for more than 8 runs per over. The two opening bowlers (Fazalhaq Farooqi and Mujeeb Ur Rahman) were terribly expensive.

Where have you been in the last month, Hibernation mode? Tongue

Rohit failed in the first match, but he was in the pretty good form since the Asia cup and Ishan Kishan, the only person who is still not at his best is Shreyas. KL has been excellent since his comeback and gave winning knock in the Asia cup too with century along with Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya too.

AFG not really prepared themselves for 50 over format, that is why their batting collapses in such QuickTime and Rashid Khan also became ineffective or being punished due to no support from other end.

India team has won the match with a great performance from bowling line to batting. It seems that if Afghanistan team could have given a target of 350 runs, then maybe Afghanistan team would have won the match, but the run that Afghanistan has given as a target was not the right run for Afghanistan to win.  For the team. Afghanistan team lost so badly in today's match to spoil the performance of Afghanistan team. India team won by 8 wickets today.

What a commited perfot by Rizwan, this guy should be above Babar Azam. He single handedly took the ownership of chasing the target. He was injured, cramped but was not letting it go. An example he has set in to the mind's of upcoming newbies. I was thinking about Babar when Pakistan came to bat.

Actually, I stopped watching the game when Babar Azam got out because I thought from that place chasing 344 looks impossible to chase it down but when I looked at the results I was shocked and even more to add they won by 6 wickets which is incredible also will up the morale of Pakistan after disappointing bowling performance.

Tomorrow we have India vs Afghanistan match and I expect it is going to be an easy win for India but what I want them to do is try to post better performance if possible, so they can increase the net run rate so that they should not take this match lightly, and also they should go with the same playing XI in my opinion.
727  Local / India / Re: Thoughts and Suggestions on unofficial rules being followed in Indian board on: October 10, 2023, 04:46:15 PM
Hereby to resurrect this thread which is indeed due to the outdated rules and pinned threads.

Active community members can share their views on what are the things we should look into and make changes from the old to make the Indian bitcointalk community a better place and favors the new users to learn about cryptocurrency and Indian economy to understand the importance of decentralization and bitcoin.

I think this is the right time to make actions so if bull run happens next year then possibly we can expect the new Indians whoever join the bitcointalk community can also be a part of their Local board.
728  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How can I trade on P2P On Binance exchange? on: October 10, 2023, 04:23:54 PM
Binance exchange isn't the best
It is not best for P2P trades especially, where we can find lot of scams like fake payment proofs, funds transferred from hacked accounts and a lot others so who ever using p2p exchanges for crypto to fiat trades should be very careful while choosing the trading partner irrespective of the platform cause we are going to deal with another individual so we may have to share sensitive personal information with them if needed and that person is collecting those data with bad intention then we will have issues.

Here is an article explains about Common Scams on Binance P2P|Protecting Yourself from Scammers on Binance P2P, so OP take a look at this before starting your p2p trading journey.

- Store it offline on my iPhone ? Is it possible ? Encrypt it on my computer ?
Any thoughts ?

Smartphones are not suitable because its likely to be connected to internet at some point. Storing it any form digital form pose the risk.

As others said you should keep the seeds in offline format which can be on a piece of paper inside water and fireproof box or you can look for the secret ways like this one Securing Your Seed Phrase with Washers.

Duplicating a single key doesn't make sense because it would only result in having the same key in two locations. The best practice is to store the three keys at three separate locations where one has no connection or association with the others and is positioned far from the remaining two.
733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🌀 [banned mixer] - CONTEST ICC MENS WC 2023 AND DISCUSSION | Free Entry on: October 09, 2023, 06:49:15 PM
As expected Newzealand won the match very easily. Netherland bowling was not bad but they should work on their batting and lot of improvement required. There is no good finisher at no 6 and 7. Nz now wins  both matches and Netherland lost both.

My prediction went totally wrong today, uh...

Netherlands tried their best, and we can't blame them in my opinion and what I can see is some individual talents came to spotlight, and hopefully they will lead the team to better place in the following years but for now they all are here to upset the top 6 teams at least once.

Hopefully I will gain some points tomorrow. Roll Eyes
734  Economy / Economics / Re: The economics of war. How does this affect us all especially us in crypto? on: October 09, 2023, 04:33:45 PM

My main point is the new conflict was accelerated because the world is bored tired disinterested with Ukraine vs Russia

If there is no war, then the leaders/politicians don't have any other point to play the dirty political game.

From a crypto user's perspective, we can say that the digital assets will not be affected during war, conflict between borders so if we got the opportunity to move we can take away all our net worth in our hands which is not even possible in any other investment medium.

And this attack proved that governments are spending billions of our tax money for something that will be absolutely useless with the technology advancement, and we have been robbed for our entire lifetime for no reason.
735  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will my private key be seen by everyone on the network? on: October 09, 2023, 02:46:45 PM

So when verifying the transaction using your private key will the private key be known or seen by others on the network? If so then is it not risky letting others know our private keys.

And also in a case where the owner loses his/her private key and is unable to verify the transaction what will happen to the coins. Are they gone forever? Or is there a way to recover the private key.

You don't need to use your private keys every time to access your bitcoin, technically private keys associated with the address is indeed to verify the TX and proves the ownership.

Private keys will not be visible to anyone other than you, so you are the one who should keep the keys secured and if you lost it then its impossible to access the funds but the funds in that address will always be there unless the private keys used.

You don't need to keep the private keys of your address, just the recovery seeds is enough which can be used to recover all the funds associated with the seeds along with the private keys.
736  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Block 811273/74 mined before block 811272 on: October 09, 2023, 10:48:30 AM
I am looking for the exact number but i don't find it, maybe it can vary up to 10 minutes ?
The timestamp of the block must be between the median of the timestamps of the last 11 blocks and the median of the timestamps of the nodes you have connected to plus 2 hours.

For more details, click here to read the article about block timestamp on bitcoin wiki.

These rules of mining process are literally new knowledge for me, I hope this can't affect bitcoin network co-ordination and validity of the block no matter what. I am not sure often occur even if it's allowed under the miner's limits, so what I noticed is something rare I believe.

Thanks for the heads-up guys, hope others too learn about this possibility is accepted in the bitcoin network.
737  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Block 811273/74 mined before block 811272 on: October 08, 2023, 11:18:20 PM
While I was checking the mempool status, I noticed something unusual the block 811273 mined before 811272. As far as I know the blocks are supposed to be mined in the sequential order.

I am sure there should be a logical explanation for this, and can't figure it out on my own, so turned towards bitcointalk community.

Amazing comeback by the Indian batters. Top 3 Indian batters were out for a duck and then came in GOAT & Rahul. They both with their simple strategy of conserving wickets are now destroying Australia. Another simple example to prove that Indian team is different in this world cup.
These two are more exposed to such pressure situation like these, and also they captained the Indian side as well as franchise team so they know how to be responsible and since the target is not that much they decided to keep it simple and kept rotating the strike which took the pressure off gradually then they accelerated towards the end.

A match to forget for Australia but India with a superb start to their world cup journey by beating the top team which is kind of statement for the other teams.
740  Local / India / Re: ICC World Cup 2023 - India discussion on: October 08, 2023, 05:51:07 PM
If you guys missed it after India lost 3 wickets in the first 3 overs as most we will continue with other activities. Then you missed how GOAT with the help of Rahul won the game.

It happened upside down for me, I missed the initial few overs of Indian batting and shocked to see three down at 20 odd runs when I tuned in.

But after looking at the shot selection of Virat and Rahul I felt that the we are still in the game and the game progresses both batters got better and better also the dew factor at the late end helped a bit but even before that KL and Virat took the match away from OZ.

KL missed his century with too good shot because at the time of presentation he said he timed the ball too well because he was expecting for 4 then he can hit a 6 to reach his century but anyway very good performance from both batting and bowling.

Hope the winning run continues for India.
