However, the good news is that they didn't lose the trophy. This happens quite often when emotions and excitement interfere. The more valuable the victory should be for Manchester City, because it was not easy. Still, it would probably be unfair if Manchester City were left completely without titles this season. Steven Gerrard, being the head coach of Aston Villa, still could not help his native Liverpool, although the chances of this were quite good when his team led 2-0 until the 75th minute. Liverpool had a brilliant end to the championship and almost caught up with Manchester City, but still it was almost not enough for the title.
