GPU's would be on that train pretty fast either way, because guess what? GPU's are better for this specific job than CPU's. Nope, almost 40. Delays are one thing, incompetence and poor project planning is something entirely different.

I'm not against GPU mining, I just think CPU miners should have a chance at the beginning, now that's gone I am exactly the opposite, I think CPU mining is unfair, as people use bot nets, rent expensive server power Amazon etc. and other tricks which make things unfair. With GPU mining most people interested in crypto mining are already set up for this. That's why for each CPU coin that comes out, you get dozens of GPU coins, GPU mining is more popular. Are you saying that GPUs are cheap? Most GPU farms are using high end GPUs that costs hundreds, I call that unfair too, only the guys with high end gear mine and about the others? |

I could stand the delay, but the delay is making it unfair, why? because they left the directory that contained miner without a simple index file, that allowed us to view the directory structure and files, now miner source is public, it's a matter of hours to have a GPU miner working, so the poll and advertising this as a CPU coin are lies and unfair

i believe its password protected I got it and its not password protected, but just not usable in any way without doing some work. There is no button to click on to get the miner to work or to submit a (windows start run: to) Its a command line miner, pools should have information about using it on lauch. |

This is one of the more clever scams I've seen. Here's how I suspect it went down: 1. Max (who pushed QRK -- you guys saw how that turned out, right?) paid some guy to build a Keccak GPU miner implementation (it's not hard, source code is available freely [1]) 2. He then uses his fame + name to peddle a new coin using the Keccak algorithm, which no other coin uses 3. Sheep go baaaaah. Much profit.
