721  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk requesting donations? Wtf? on: December 31, 2011, 09:15:14 PM
Hello noobs,

According to Bitcointalk's donation page they've pulled in roughly ~620BTC from donations alone. On this same page it states that they recieve free hosting and the donations go to 'development of the forum'. I dont know about you guys but I dont see anything on this forum thats not on every other single forum that runs this software.. So if they're a non-profit I'd really like to see the paperwork on that because they have to account for all donations and report it to future donors. Also, If you've ever run an advertisement on Bitcointalk you know how expensive it is.

I'm just wondering where all this money goes? If your costs are $0 .. and you've taken in atleast $1k in donations .. and there have been no improvements on the forum .. How is that a non profit?
I think we should stop donating until we get these answers.. Is this forum really that great? 30% of it is flame wars and trolling. A wise man once said on IRC 'The forums are full of cancer and scammers'.

Cordially Yours,
James L (rg @ freenode)

Cool story bro. Personally, I think they should spend the money on getting all mods and staff some liquor for putting up with the ass-hattery that goes on here. I think I owe them all a beer for putting up with me and the rest of the off-topic/trollin' crew...PM me an address, gentlemen...

They only have the Bitcoin Dedicated (but oddly multipurposed) line, despite 10 years of experience or business or whatever it was.
The performance of the units are measured in 2 step SHA256 hashes, while they claim to be multipurpose with 'drivers' available.
Since it's FPGA, it can be reconfigurable and really perform other tasks that don't require external memory and input/output pins (in theory, if it's not Easypath-like chip).

Performance may be mentioned in pairs of hashes because those products were intended for bitcoin mining and other purposes added just to make it look more like serious business. (This is my opinion and it may be not true. I do think that their product really exists, but adding "other purposes" stuff on the website make things look worse for skilled bitcoin people. Truth is more suitable sometimes.)

Yeah, and they stated something earlier about how they didn't figure out that it was a 2-cycle process until they had already built it??

Delivery in 4-6 weeks, bitches :/ Shouldn't it be 2-4 weeks now, BFL?

Do I have to sock-puppet the 100th donator? C'mon, folks.

"Welcome to the real world. Its one with regulations and rules. When you break them, you bring shit like this on your self."

Oh yes I agree totally, but you are the one who has broken the rules of life. Whats coming next you have brought on yourself. The truth is you took his money, you have not refunded it. Payapal does not have his money, you do. You are a coward shakaru of the worst kind.

And by the way you don't answer my questions about the games card, proof you bought them? None. If you did why not tell us how much you have sold them for since you reneged on the deal? Notice they deleted the thread where you lied and were shown to be.

You know from what he told me he has even called his credit card company yet, again you are a liar. You have conspired with member to lie, cheat, and steal. Also you have conspired with other members of this board to have constant hacking and cyber attacks against him. You have made death threats and even had conversations about having him assaulted by other members. Members have lied and wrongly informed on him to the tax office, federal police and probably other agencies. That is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen, how you can do that and no expect there to be a huge blowback is beyond me unless you are a Police/FBI informant.

It's ok, until justice is served and you shown to be who you really are I'll keep posting.

I think you've got it all backwards...see, shakaru was the one getting scammed. Please, by all means, quotes or screenshots for these death threats and threats of assault, as well as all communications with paypal and your credit card company.

I have half a notion to report both you and astana to HSA to keep you out of the US permanently. I am sure conspiring to open a bank account with false identification coupled with a few death threats is enough to get you pounded on in a hole in Guantanemo for a couple months.
726  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The truth is Astana is right. on: December 31, 2011, 05:20:20 AM
Shakaru you keep on lying, dig your own hole.  I've even logged into his paypal myself and there is no money there.. There is no money that is being held by paypal. You had them cancle the refund.

Eventually the truth will come out, it always does no matter how many people try to keep it a secret. BTW you have not proved you ever payed/recieved the games cards, show us some of the evidence you did. if your right you have nothing to hide then why not post your proof. And if you did recieve then how much did you really sell them for? If you have nothing to hide then I see no reason not to prove it.

Are you really that confused? There is an abundance of proof siding in shakaru's favor. You have most certainly crossed the line from an impartial relay for asshat...could it be that you accessed 'his' paypal because it is in fact 'your' paypal? Or is it that you are both filthy russians living in a hovel together and scamming for a living?

One of the schmucks walks into the bar.

"Hey, you! You owe me money!"

Turns out he is full of shit and his name is astana...
728  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The truth is Astana is right. on: December 31, 2011, 01:40:10 AM
I'm sure theaymos will continue todelete posts supporting the truth, you've edit his posts you know this is true, You changed thread titles and censored people who have supported him. Youve even threatened to ruin peoples reputation if they support astana. They can't deny this, it is fact. I've seen it for my own eyes and seen the before after shots  and they have  to delete posts supporting astana to back up their lies,

If you are really trying to succeed with a sock puppet, you can't make the same mongoloid-level spelling and grammatical errors as your main...

Go read a book, fucktard.

And 7970s can be overclocked a LOT.

Says who? How long did they test it for?

I bet a 6970 can run at like, 1200mhz for a day...
731  Other / Off-topic / Re: 1GH/s, 20w, $700 (was $500) — Butterflylabs, is it for real? (Part 2) on: December 30, 2011, 06:57:23 PM
Ok, I agree, maybe saying fairly easy is understating things.  I guess my point is that cooling it isn't going to be like trying to keep 8 5970's cool.  I can immediately envision several designs that would make cooling far more efficient given an effectively unrestrained design approach and a 4U box to do it in.

I agree, though, that if the power requirements merit 240v or unusual amperage, it should be made clear to the consumer that you can't just buy one of these things and set it up in your broom closet.

Has there been any progress on getting you a unit for testing?

I know I am like, 90% trolling in this thread, but I am very interested to see how this all pans out, and as I stated before, I might even buy one if one exists...

Off topic: who else keeps reading his username as "bicurious?" xD

This came up in another thread...perhaps in the context of Rassah's coffee table and furries.

Wow...I just looked at those screenshots for the first time...badgering a third party to release his address? shakaru has mentioned his location plenty of times...hell, I know what city he lives in and I have had no interaction with him besides a bit o' trolling. Too bad the greater Los Angeles area has 25 million people in it, huh?

Dude, that's what the internet's for! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow

Yes, shadows do exist. I am skeptical that you can draw conjectures as to season and latitude from them as they vary daily and seasonally, and you have no information as to the angle of incidence for the photograph. I am curious how these 'calculations' are made. My notion is that all you can really say if a shadow exists is that the image was not taken at high noon at the equator. Other than that, it seems like total BS. I am curious to learn more if this really is a legitimate method of analysis.

I guess if you know the alignment of the image with regards to true north, you could make a pass at whether it is the northern or southern hemisphere, but how can you take that any further not knowing the time or season of the photograph?

Oh, it is. It's just that there was a lot of talk about a mid-January delivery.

Luckily, they are keeping their customers apprised...

Guys, what's the word from BFL?
740  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Accusations against shakaru on: December 29, 2011, 09:39:07 PM
God this guy's retarded.   Fellas, please know that not all Australians are as backward as this douche.  He's what we like to call a bogan.  Lowest level of humanity basically.

It's ok, there are living, breathing, walking piles of shit everywhere. I'm pretty sure bruce wagner and tom williams are both americans, and no one felt the need to apologize for those scammy mongoloids. I just posted this in another thread, but it's quite applicable here as well;
