I'm very much opposed to diluting the geocoin infrastructure with checkcoin. The ckc devs bit off a larger chunk than they could chew, meanwhile Geo has developed a working product without any outrageous ico funding or premine. Adding ckc to geo merely provides an exit for the delusional ckc bagholders that should have sold long ago. There is absolutely no merit in merging ckc with geo. It's time to face the music, ckc is a failure and its best left at the crypto graveyard. Bitsend decided to feed us false hope and promises about a product that turned out to be total vaporware, why reward them by letting them hitch a ride on the potential success of geo? De ckc devs gave a heartfelt FU to the ckc investors and community, if I were Tobler I wouldn't want anything to do with them.

Also Poloniex did a code review and decided to add GEO, but shoot Tobler a pm for more information.

For what it's worth, I personally can confirm without any reservation that the tech is real and working. There is no vaporware here. Currently a handful of users are testing the alpha release in preparation for the beta to be released on April 7th.

Exactly, Geo deserves a place in the top 10. It's bringing something that is actually useful and fun instead of just another BTC clone. $10 is a long way still but I think we'll see $2 in the not too distant future.

First milestone however is a spot in the top 100, that would be awesome in itself.

It's true. They sold a bunch of btc for fiat in fear of a further dropping btc price. So they hold multiple thousands of ico funds. Or they already spent it all on hookers & blow.
