You can use WattTool to see which clock goes to 300 and then force the fan speed 2400 and you will find it quickly.

I thought they only copied them?

I meant modifying the strap and copying.

Why do you not use the custom strap mods?

I guess I might have a slight problem.

I know people had issues with RX570/580 and 7 cards.

Are people able to run with 7 or 8?
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 200 amp main breaker tripping on: May 10, 2017, 12:30:22 AM
260 / 7

38 - 40 rigs?

1100 watts per rig?

44Kw / 220 volts = 200 amps

It is the load over time which is tripping the breaker. Either way, its not good. Its not safe. you should only be at 80% of cap.

I just installed a dedicated 125 amp panel

Questions about Stratum Proxy

1. I am currently running 35 GPUs on 5 machines. All dual mining at nicehash with claymore. Would I benefit from setting up a stratum proxy?
2. I have 2 L3+s, pointed at zpool and nicehash. Would I benefit from a stratum proxy?

I think the main benefit with the L3+s Proxy would being able to switch pools without using the web interface which resets the machines and is a pain.

Just an observation, don't get too caught up in the individual workings of specific coins.  The whole point of multi-algo mining is so you can ignore the coins themselves and optimize based on your hardware and hashrate.  Let the pool do its job and decide what hashes to send your miner.  Sit back and watch your payouts for a week.  Take that average daily payout and compare it against WhatToMine estimate for the last seven days.  Doing this, I am always making more than what WhatToMine has calculated for my hardware (especially because it doesn't account for Skein and other good algos).  As long as you are at or above that, then whats there to worry about?  You are either hitting the average or besting it.  Work on your hardware and optimize your mining setup.

zpool isn't cheating you on one coin out of hundreds.

Keep up the good work Crackfoo.  I appreciate how well the pool functions.

I like zpool, and I don't think anyone is cheating. I actually really like it. I'd like to move all my rigs to zpool but they dont offer Ethereum.

But something is not working correctly. There is no way it should be mining this coin right now. And my 1GH is still mining it...

IS there a way using the password field to specify a coin to mine or exclude a coin?

Is there an easy way to switch pool other than updating the miner config section

If you're looking for a way to manage a lot of miners, you could consider running a stratum proxy. In each miner you'd set the first pool to point at your proxy, with backup pools in case the proxy goes down.

This way you can change the pools in the proxy and all the miners will mine to it.

Thank you. I will search the forum on how to do this.

Thanks again.

you might wanna consider why it was mining that coin at that instance... most likely exchange rate is high for some reason, or the diff dropped on that coin enough to make throwing some hash at it worth it.

It's not a problem with the pool;  it's the nature of the beast.  It is working correctly;  exactly as its programmed to do, not as you think it should be configured...  =/

Just like the profitability estimate;  it initially shows you what people are selling for as an earned value;  but when its sold;  the buys could be on the opposite side of the spectrum and are lower than the sell orders (typical market).  It would be less noticeable if it were configured as only counting the low (purchase orders), that way the highs are felt in a better light.

How long does it take to adjust? I noticed we enabled the coin again and it is still no where near as profitable as it says it is.

ok, you guys don't get it.  the pool TTF is a guess based on COMBINED POOL HASHRATE.  Not that one coin's hashrate the pool is diverting to it.

You don't calculate your hashrate based on TTF ever;  because it's a floating variable based on hashrate beyond your own.  This is not how you calculate things based on YOUR hashrate.

you calculate profitability based on your pool calculated hashrate, and the average of algo over the same period to time;  the longer the period of time, the more stable the calculation is.  Luck always will be there, so you can't exactly account for it, just figure plus or minus 15-20%.

not to be calculated by "how long it could theoretically take under a completely different set of circumstances/hashrate to find a block in just one coin of many that are mined on that algo".

You're right, I don't understand exactly how it works.

I do understand when something isn't working correctly. I was just trying to point out and understand why the pool was mining a very non profitable coin.

it's just cause the diff is so low. not much hash gets put on it and it's mBTC remember.

yes, but it thinsk the TTF is ~1 sec when really it is more like 1-2 minutes.

TTF is if ALL the pool's hash was pointed at that coin, not what hash is currently on it.

Nyan doing the same thing.

Looks like TTF is ~10 seconds. and earns .0005 mBTC

6 * 60 * 24 * .0005 mBTC = 4.32 mBTC

yes,

.00057 mBTC = 0.00000057 BTC = $0.00085  / Minutes.....

like I said, something Is / Was wrong.

Please look at Stable Coin for Scrypt.

it doesnt add up.

Can I stop mining a certain coin?

doesn't add up? What do you mean? I've disabled it on stratum until I look into it but it's still on the same chain as cryptopia...

For some reason it keeps saying its profitability is higher than it really is. like a lot higher. I saw most the network hash on it and it was at most getting a bock every minute. I had 33% of the share and getting very very little.

How do the pools setup work? why are there 3? does it switch?

What is the frequency?
