721  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where would I post about a bad site? on: August 19, 2017, 02:34:40 PM
I believe I'm using the correct word when I say that everyone is aware that these sites are a scam even though the Investor-based games section is full of them, people actually know what they are facing but they are hoping that they will make profit before the site close, that being said, you can still post on the Scam accusation section using the proper format but people already know.
722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Aug 1 summary on: August 19, 2017, 01:51:49 PM
Anyone know if I exchange my BTC that's in my wallet that hasn't been open since before the split, if I can still get my BCH? Thx  Smiley

Why would you exchange anything? If you had bitcoins prior the fork (in a wallet where you control the private keys) then you can import them to a BCH wallet and you will get the exact same amount you had in BTC.
723  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info being silly on: August 19, 2017, 11:57:39 AM
Have you tried importing it to bitcoin core, electrum etc. to see what that give you? It the blockchain address you are exporting the private keys is old, from the imported addresses? you shouldn't find a problem in those. I would go with coinomi android wallet to import the BCH If I were you, I know it works 100% so If you don't see your balance there, you know for sure that the problem is coming from the Blockchain export option.
724  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Another attack on TREZOR! on: August 19, 2017, 11:13:13 AM
I wouldn't take these blog posts 100% for granted. Trezor already released a update for their Firmware and the issue has been fixed while the first article clearly mentioned that all hardware must be replaced. I prefer waiting the company releasing a statement regarding this then see. As from whom this is coming from, Ledger nano was already killing it. I doubt its coming from them, Its possible that its coming from some other competitors.
725  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you keep track of your wins/losses ? on: August 19, 2017, 10:26:54 AM
While trading? I don't really use anything personally. I start with a specific amount and I end up with a different amount, If its bigger then I actually did good otherwise I didn't and in addition to that, I just watch the price when It rise because the point from trading is to simply buy low and sell high, now If you are talking about gambling that I see no use for a spreadsheet as the sites actually have logs and they should be visible in your profile regardless of the site you are site.
726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ [ANN] ⚡ DeepOnion TOR Integrated ⚡ No ICO 🚀 FREE Airdrops 🚀 6th of 40 Rounds on: August 19, 2017, 07:54:49 AM
There is something I don't understand here, the thread says that someone need at least 24 hours to have their onions mature. The 24 hours are calculated how exactly? do I need to have the wallet opened? If yes, I should leave it open for 24 hours straight or I can open for 12 hours for example, shutdown the wallet and reopen it later so It continue the rest of 12 hour? and my last question is, the staking should start automatically after having mature coins?
727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: August 18, 2017, 02:04:07 PM
It pretty much look like Byteball is not going to recover at this point, people are now considering it as free money just like they did with BCH and simply dumping it, Blackbytes have no value and are not listed in any exchange, I can't say that the project is doing well at this point.
728  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [COINOMI] Alert!! Lost all my coins!! on: August 18, 2017, 12:19:16 PM
I'm talking about the greyed out ones. They have been unconfirmed for 7 days. I already checked if any of the addresses got any coins and they didn't.

I think the app itself detects that there is a pending transaction so it hides my litecoins but since the transactions are stuck, i can't get them back. I'm guessing they could fix this by deleting the transactions from their backend but they don't reply to my support ticket anymore.

How do i open a scam accusation?

Well, you had the funds on a specific address before sending it, have you checked that address (sending address) too? to see where the funds actually disappeared? You can open a scam accusation by making a thread on this section using the proper format but I suggest leaving that option as the last resort, they may answer you.
729  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [COINOMI] Alert!! Lost all my coins!! on: August 18, 2017, 11:53:13 AM
You are talking about the transaction in orange? the grayed one seem to be the one unconfirmed, but in the same time, If you only have 41 LTC, Its not impossible to make three transactions, have you checked the addresses the funds were sent to? to see If they actually received something? If this doesn't get resolved, you may want to open a scam accusation against them. I knew that making the project closed source will make things less transparent.
730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit behind us, what should we be excited about? on: August 18, 2017, 08:12:42 AM
Is there any information which can be understand easily about lighting work? Thanks!

Everything you need to know about this can be found on Lightning.Network. If you need  more detailed and technical information, check the whitepaper which is also available on the website.

For now, we should wait until segwit be implemented and see how is it going after being used, whether segwit could make blockchain transactions better or not give a significant changes. If segwit could solve major problems of bitcoins regarding high fees and confirmation time that takes hours even days, then we don't have to agreed with segwit2x or Lightning networks. However, if segwit isn't enough for scale solution, then we should worry about chain split if core developers don't agree with it as they have stated to not support 2Mb hard fork.

Another chain split is very likely to happen but once again, I believe only one bitcoin will survive and the other will remain as an alt and die with time. We have already seen how bigger block size are bad, I don't understand why people still want to hard fork once again. Schnorr and SegWit are going to help, a bigger block size will make things worst.
731  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitcoin rates on: August 18, 2017, 07:37:33 AM
is https://coinmarketcap.com/ accurate for its rates for all the different coins?

It is accurate, and probably the most accurate because they are retrieving the data directly from the exchanges and do a simple math like (exchange_1 + exchange_2 etc. / n). An alternative is CryptoCompare and you can change the display to see the prices in ETH, USD, BTC etc.
732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: August 17, 2017, 07:05:34 AM
I suggest everyone to start buying at this point, Binance added Tether.to a couple of days ago and the CEO actually confirmed on Reddit that they will be adding ICONOMI just right after USDT. I know that a lot of people are not using Liqui.io because they are not that legit and lately having issues and for Kraken, It's simply impossible to use for some countries so this will be a great chance for having an extra trading volume.
733  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the combined net worth of all bitcoins in existence? on: August 14, 2017, 05:22:37 PM
I believe that you mean the market capitalization. We have 16,506,412 BTC in circulation right now, the price is 4300$~. Multiply them and there you got it. I'd use CoinMarketCap so you don't go through all the process.
734  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: August 14, 2017, 04:16:51 PM
Hello. Can someone tell me how much time to wait until i rank up to jr.member?

You need 30 activity in order to become a Junior member so all It takes is another activity reset which should happen tomorrow, you should upgrade automatically as long as you have enough posts (+30 posts).
735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit behind us, what should we be excited about? on: August 14, 2017, 10:46:47 AM
Once Segwit gets activated the next implementation would be LN (Lightening Network). Already two LN wallets have been tested on bitcoin testnet.

I understand from this that unlike the blocksize debate and SegWit, Lightning network will basically need a third party application to run? so in other words, there is no need for a any fork in order to make this happen? all we need is a bunch of tests and we are good to go?
736  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The idea of a shared wallet for business and protection against theft. on: August 14, 2017, 10:09:08 AM
We already have wallets that has multiple crypto currencies such as exodus, coinomi and Jaxx. I don't see how you are going to implement fiat though? you will need to make interaction with bank accounts and credit cards, probably a lot of paper work to do and this wallet will have nothing to do with decentralization. As for the shared wallet idea, I honestly don't get it If you care to explain, but If you something that need multiple people in order to spend the funds then this is exactly how Multi signatures addresses work.
737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Aug 1 summary on: August 13, 2017, 08:53:11 AM
How is that possible is this been confirmed?

Im currently working out this Bcash stuff. If i just send out my bitcoin from my wallet like normal i will still own my Bcash on my original pre aug 1st wallet right?

He is probably mistaken, I don't see how both coins could be sent at the same time. If he is using a BCH wallet, BitcoinCash will be sent and If he is using a BTC core, the bitcoins will be sent instead and he need to change the blockexplorer to see the transaction and to answer your question, If you send BTC now, you will still have your BCH in all your addresses that had BTC on 1st august yes.
738  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Good wallet to store USDT ? on: August 13, 2017, 07:28:12 AM
USDT like MaidSafeCoins is an omni token, which means exists inside the bitcoin blockchain just like ERC20 in Ethereum blockchain. The same rules applies here, as long as you have control your private keys, you are good but you won't be able to spend them unless you are using Omniwallet.org. So, you can either create a wallet there directly or simply store your USDT in Electrum for example and when you want to spend them, export the private keys from them, import them to Omniwallet and send them from there.
739  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it safe to buy BTC from exchange and transfer directly to trading platform? on: August 12, 2017, 12:12:41 PM
Why would you transfer them from one trading platform to another in the first place? The only advantage I see is not having to pay more fees, instead of sending them to your desktop wallet then sending them again to KRAKEN, you can send them directly and not having to pay the network fees that your wallet will calculate, its nothing much anyway.
740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / SegWit behind us, what should we be excited about? on: August 12, 2017, 10:54:42 AM
SegWit locked in and we should see it activated in the upcoming days, just a matter of time. While putting the November hardfork aside, what proposals or features that are under development that we should be excited about?
