Yesterday in champion's league:

Group A:
Manchester United(9) will win this group easily.
Basel (6) wins yesterday away against Cska Moscow (3) is the favorite for second place.

Group B:
the current standing of this group should remain so until the end: 1)Psg 2)Bayern 3)Celtic 4)Anderlecht

Group C:
bad 0-0 for the At. Madrid(2) against the poor Quarabag(1). The At.Madrid is forced to win the last 3 games otherwise it is a clamorous elimination.
spectacular 3-3 Chelsea(7) and Roma(5) are the favorites for qualifying at the next round.

Group D:
Barcelona(9) will win this group (it has a great goal difference).
Juventus and Sporting Lisbon are struggling for the second place with the obviously favorite Juventus

Leicester City is becoming like Chelsea and the other big clubs in Europe who just sack manager anyhow. They today sacked their manager Craig Shakespeare who just four months ago signed a three year deal to take the job on a permanent basis, Shakespeare is the the second manager to be sacked in the EPL this season and the second to be sacked today as earlier Calgiliari sacked their manager as well after a six game losing streak.

I'm not surprised by these wrong choices from Leicester's society.
If they sent away the Ranieri hero, they showed all their incompetence.
Shakespeare was a good coach for this team that only needs to be saved.
With these absurd choices, Leicester is likely to be relegated to the Championship.
723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 18, 2017, 09:49:53 AM
Massimo Rastelli the manager of Cagliari is the first managerial casualty in the Italian Serie A when he was sacked today for losing his last six games after initially winning their first two games they have been a winless streak. At the moment it seems his assistant manager will take over his duties before a replacement is announced.

Losing 6 in a row is quite bad though to be honest, I don’t like to see anybody lose their job but sometimes it’s justified.

Yes, he deserved the exoneration, especially because the Cagliari has good players and can safely get to the top 10 positions.
The new coach is Diego Lopez (former player and coach of Cagliari).
I'm surprised instead that Benevento (0 points, 2 goals scored and 19 suffered) did not send away his coach

726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: October 18, 2017, 08:13:43 AM
Not a good start for the warriors, Rockets ruin my parlay, I already won the over and I was thinking the warrior would easily win this game since they had the lead. This is gambling and shit happens, no offense to rockets fans here, but I am really upset today. lol.

What more to wait now, I guess I'll be putting bigger bet in their second game, they'll surely bounce back for sure and with a big margin.

I can't believe Warriors blew 13 points lead in the last quarters. Curry flopped in this match against Rockets, as usual Warriors lose in their first match everytime NBA start. Rip my $200 on Warriors, still can't believe Warriors lose like that.
Let's move on to the next game, amazing happens right, this is NBA so it's possible.
The season just started and we have a lot of opportunity to bet on the warriors, they are just warming up and they do not really care so much  about their record as they have proven it already before, they will be more motivated to win again the championship but let's admit the Rockets are also upgrading with Paul on the line up so that makes the two team competitive to each other.

NBA starts with 2 spectacular and balanced games, 1 surprise and a bad injury.

29 points for Lebron James that this year wants to reach the fifth place in the ranking of all-time markers. he is currently seventh with 28816 points, while White Chamberlain has 31419 (2603 points difference).
serious injury to Gordon Hayward and perhaps for him the season already over.
Surprisingly, Golden State defeat has been wasted over 10 points in the last quarter
727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 18, 2017, 07:52:58 AM
Wimbledon champion Roger Federer beat world number one Rafael Nadal 6-4 6-3 in the Shanghai Masters final to capture his sixth title of the year.
What a HUGE player. Unbeliveable!
This is the third straight final that Roger Federer has beaten Rafael Nadal this season alone, he started it in the Australian Open he won by three sets to Nadal's two, He again beat him the finals of the Miami Open by two straight sets and now another two straight sets in the Shanghai Open. Although not a final Federer won against Nadal in the round 16 of the Indian Well Masters making it four victories over Nadal this year. Federer is becoming better with age.
Roger is showing a classy performance as always. I'm surprised he still play that good at the age of 36. He is now the second in world players rating behind Rafael Nadal and he have a shot to finish the season on top. He won his 94th title yesterday. He is trully a living legend and it is so unfortunate that he is getting old and his retirement is getting closer.
If you observe , he uses technical skills more than physical skills and that is what makes him a great player , not many on this planet including Nadal can do it against top players . He will finish his career with 100 titles according to me Smiley Next year will be very crucial for him .

Amazing season for both Nadal and Federer, but I think Nadal is not happy about losing 4 of 4 times against Federer this year (the fifth consecutive defeat!).
Surely Nadal will try to win against Federer at least once this year and perhaps the best chance will be at Atp Finals in London (November 12-19)
728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 World Cup qualifications, UEFA zone, discussion and information thread on: October 18, 2017, 07:46:45 AM

Today was drawing of play-off and as you can see above there is some good and interesting games which will be played next month for win last four european spots for Russia 2018.

On first sight game between Sweden and Italy seems the most interesting, and Switzerland,Croatia and Denmark look like favorites against Northern Ireland,Greece, and Republic of Ireland. What are your opinions about these games?

I think Italy e Switzerland are clearly favorite.
Croatia is also favored, but Greece is a tough team with many experienced players.
The most balanced match is surely Denmark Vs Ireland but for me it will qualify Ireland

Real madrid with this victory makes a new record in the Liga with 13 consecutive wins away

Amazing, Juventus loses at home after over 2 years (last defeat on August 23, 2015)!
this may be an important signal for the other teams, this year it is possible to interrupt the dominance in Serie A of Juventus.

Bayern Munich just scored their second goal courtesy Kinsley Coman in their game against Freiburg, and they are now leading by two goals to nil, their first goal unfortunately for Freiburg was an own goal and it seems that Jupp Heynckes is already having the desired effect at the club already This clearly shows that Carlo Ancelotti was sabotaged just like Rainieri and Mourinho.
The game just ended and the final score was Bayer Munich 5 Freiburg 0 and i really say this is a superb performance from the Bavarians, they showed class and finesse in the game, Its like this is a total new team under Jupp Heynckes, I am waiting to see the team's performance when they face Dortmund soon or when PSG returns to the Allianz Arena

Great return to Bayern for Jupp Heynckes!
He had left dominating, and he started dominating again.
If Bayern recover all his injuries, he can return to the top even in Champion's League

Unexpected result on Liverpool vs. Manchester Utd, no goals till the final whistle. Liverpool was playing better than Manchester, surprisingly they could dominate the ball possession which made MU like a medioker team. Unfortunately they could not score a winning goal. I expected to see balanced game but MU play so bad today.
Goal rains happens on other match Manchester City vs. Stoke, 8 goals so far and so surprised to see Crystal Palace is leading 2-1 now.
Today I watch all match and believe Liverpool was unlucky because they play very good in all game Manchester United was in defense from start until end but Liverpool was really on fire but they need some extra ordinary striker even Saleh was good but still fail to produce any goal at the end Mourinho was happy to have 1 point from here
Just end of biggest upset Crystal Palace won first game of this season and they break streak of no goals

overtaking this manchester city with 7 goals scored this year is finally visible Guardiola's hand.
Another bad Chelsea defeat that is now far from the top spot (-9 points).
Now there is an interesting match between Watford and Arsenal: the winner is fourth in the standings

World number one Nadal beat Grigor Dimitrov 6-4 6-7 (4-7) 6-4 to register his 15th consecutive win and will face Marin Cilic in the semis.
Federer will play Juan Martin del Potro in the second semi-final on Saturday - if the Argentine is fit enough to play. Yesterday he injured his wrist. I think it will influence on his match
Wohooo , its Nadal v Federer in the finals as Federer manages to come from behind and beat Del Potro Smiley I hope it will be epic as it always is . I will go for Nadal to win the match as I don't see anything Roger can do to stop him right now but it will not be easy .

Both Nadal and Federer are in great shape and will surely  be a spectacular and balanced final, probably on 3 sets.
Nadal is in the lead in direct clashes against Federer for 23-14,but this year Federer has won all three games played!

Welcome back to EPL everyone, don't forget to enter predictions! As can be expected, some of our favourite players are nursing injuries from their WC qualifiers. I don't really understand what happens in these games that break even beasts like Sadio Mane, and just before meeting our arch rivals too! Six weeks without Mane, I'm really gutted =(

Anyway, I've decided to KEEP my 3-0 Liverpool prediction, so if that happens, I'll be happy to only get 40 points this week.

@ciccio I think we voted to keep it to Top 3, as specified in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2076240.msg20745851#msg20745851
It will cost 0.01BTC to enter and currently the prize money will be around (in BTC equivalent):

£400 1st place
£80 2nd place
£20 3rd place

Of course, the pot is worth something closer to £1,000 now!

@tokeweed Yeah let's spice it up next season with plenty of side bets!

I may do very small 4th and 5th consolation prizes just to make it a bit more interesting for others and an incentive to keep playing, especially with the pot having nearly doubled.

My picks this week are weirdly exactly the same as cicciobtc's choices with the exception of three.

here are my exact results for week 8:

Liverpool vs Manchester United  1-1
Burnley vs West Ham 1-0
Crystal Palace vs Chelsea 0-3
Manchester City vs Stoke  4-0
Swansea vs Huddersfield 0-0
Tottenham vs Bournemouth 2-0
Watford vs Arsenal 1-2
Brighton vs Everton 1-1
Southampton vs Newcastle 1-1
Leicester vs West Brom 2-0

after the break for the national teams, there are always surprises, we will see if it will be this again this time.

Great that premier league is back. This week based on the games that are playing sounds one of the most difficult so far so I expect a lot of surprises tomorrow. I would be very happy with 50 points this week.

I'm optimistic this week. Looking to get myself back into the top 5 or hopefully higher.

yes, with 5 prizes there are chances for so many players to win.

For me until this moment, a disastrous week with only 30 points scored after 6 matches
I  hope for you that the 3 different matches have given you more points than me.
737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Prediction ligue 1, france football league on: October 13, 2017, 10:56:57 PM
fantastic Fekir who scores 2 goals, one at the last minute and gives 3 points to Lyon!
Monaco has sold too many strong players and this year will only fight to qualify for the champions.
The Psg wins the Ligue 1 already in April.

Andy Murray's season is over.
He will miss the last master atp 1000 tournament in Paris Bercy (October 30) and the Finals in London (November 12).

He should also go out of the top ten in the atp ranking at the end of the year.

Murray is already training to return in good shape next year.

In the next round of champion's league there will be many spectacular and interesting matches.

Manchester City vs Napoli, Real Madrid vs Tottenham, Chelsea vs Roma are surely the most spectacular matches with so many talented players.

Also interesting are the matches Monaco vs Besiktas and Rb Leipzig vs Porto in Group G the most balanced group of champion's league
with all 4 teams having the same chance to qualify for next round, to get to third place (qualify fo Europa League) or to arrive to the last place and be eliminated.

Infantino n.1 of Fifa has stated that he wants to introduce VAR Technology (Video Assistant Referee)  already in the next 2018 World Cup.
He wants to avoid that there are other obvious (and decisive) mistakes as the ghost goal of Panama.
I think Football is the most popular sport in the world and it is absurd that technology has yet to be officially introduced.

Currently the Var is already used in Serie A and Bundesliga. In 2018/2019 it will also be introduced in the Premier League, while in Liga in 2019/2020.
