So what's the big deal with Western exchanges if China isn't driving it down this time?  Huh
722  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: April 16, 2014, 12:29:04 AM
Are you talking about CoinCraft Desks or Rigs?

I would have thought that all January orders for CCD would have shipped by now Huh

I think 'added value' is the key here. So 'yes' or 'no' are 1 word replies that *may* add value, or not, for instance.
724  Other / Meta / Re: A Mod was bored i guess. on: April 13, 2014, 10:29:02 PM
I also had a deleted post in the KnC miner tread that was fairly harmless (informative though off-topic)

I thought: don't take it personally... just move along Smiley
725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do I make my own alt coin? on: April 13, 2014, 12:09:12 AM
I have read your posts, including the part where you say that you are not planning to release anything yet. Fair enough.

What I meant was a honest invitation, if you read it again, to work with the original Bitcoin rather than clones. It is not per se a judgement of value against alt coins, but if you want to learn more about cryptos as you say, why would you use a copy/clone instead of the original? Just because of scrypt? That may be the point but it's wasn't obvious from my PoV
726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do I make my own alt coin? on: April 12, 2014, 11:40:10 PM
For the sake of sanity, yes, please don't. Right now you would appear like a (greedy) fool to smart members of the crypto-community if you did.

If you want to play around, use Bitcoin with testnet
727  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin: The Downward Trend Continues on: April 12, 2014, 11:33:30 PM
What kind of bullshit chart is this where the vertical axis numbers aren't uniform ?  It goes from 100 to 140 to 200 to 280 with same vertical space....this only distorts things, it does not give a clear picture of price action.
And then you're gonna use it to draw a trend line?  I'm very bullshit on BTC long term but get out of here with this crap.

I peed myself laughing.

I can't remember why I added you to my ignore list but I've decided to unblock you for my entertainment.

Whatever.

I know several professional traders, and none of them use charts like that for the exact reasons I posted.  I also trade myself, I'm profitable, and I know a good deal about charting, technical analysis, and price action.

Now, if you know something about the matter, then go ahead and enlighten us.  Otherwise STFU and stop acting like a jackass.

None of them?

Quote
Logarithmic price scales are generally accepted as the default setting for most charting services, and they're used by the majority of technical traders. Common percent changes are represented by an equal spacing between the numbers in the scale. For example, the distance between $10 and $20 is equal to the distance between $20 and $40 because both scenarios represent a 100% increase in price. Contrast this to "linear price scale".

11.    Jesus died for us, not instead of us

I'm not a Christian but... that's not quite what John 3:16 says AFAIK

Maybe we should ask his wife? Roll Eyes
729  Economy / Marketplace / Re: So you think you're going to start a Bitcoin business, right? on: April 12, 2014, 11:11:19 PM
I would happily argue about a couple of points, but AFAIK I won't get any answer from OP who got "fired" from the forum, right?

PS: sorry for those who wanted it necro but OP isn't entirely uninteresting IMHO, although full of the usual certainties typical from MP Wink
730  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: April 12, 2014, 09:55:31 PM
It is 1TH CCD he's got so I assume he requested faster delivery without PSU's. They have had or has shortage of PSU's to 1TH units.
As I understood when I ordered was that all the units would be possible to upgrade to 1TH without changing the PSU, but that is not the case...
If you have a 600GH unit you maybe can not even upgrade it to 800GH or at least not to 1TH!!

Thanks for the answer, but... if true... this would be silly Huh

Expandable CCD but you-need-to-replace-the-PSU, doesn't make sense to me.
Not even like if we were talking about overclocking (i.e. Turbo mode) here.

Giorgio, could you please clarify this?

Really need to start banning some of these top-drawer morons like igorr

 Cheesy

Given your signature, you must be quite nostalgic of the Good Ol' Soviet Union days.

Of course, even during the Perestroika I don't think Bitcoin would have been allowed Wink

PS: I save you the In Soviet Russia... joke, I don't think you would get it anyway (I would even grant you that most of them actually suck)

Last question but not the least (I'm asking them publicly because I think they may help connecting you with the right people)

Are you willing to pay in BTC only, and/or fiat?

This is a serious consideration for GPU miners who need to cover their electricity (i.e. fiat) costs
734  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin: The Downward Trend Continues on: April 12, 2014, 07:10:10 PM
@igorr: You have such a fair, balanced and non-biased view of Bitcoin that we should all listen to you and panic sell right now!

Are you looking for ASIC scrypt-based hash power (low power draw, scrypt only) or GPU-based hash power (high power draw, any GPU algo)
736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [WTB] Hash power from 20 MH up. Payment in advance. on: April 12, 2014, 06:45:52 PM
What do you mean, 'at deal prices'?

Cheers
737  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: April 12, 2014, 06:18:58 PM
Thanks a lot Zefir, you have right!

I did it exactly how you said, I connected 4 hashing units to separate PCI-E rails and then I modified CPU power supply connector to PCI-E connector, now working stable!  Grin

Just a quick question here:

  • CoinCraft Desks come with a built-in PSU, right?
  • The built-in PSU is correctly sized for the machine, right?
  • So you replaced it for some reason, like the built-in PSU is 230V where you only have 110V?

740  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-04-08] Major French Supermarket Chain to Accept Bitcoin on: April 10, 2014, 11:51:09 PM
The French Groupe Casino has nothing to do with gambling.

Damn... this is why I never liked the French language.

What does the French language have to do with this?

Ever heard about Procter & Gamble? Are you brushing your teeth and washing your clothes at the casino too? Wink
