721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to be invested in Crypto while staying away from gambling? on: May 13, 2020, 10:17:34 PM
I've been around the crypto scene since pre 2013 pump. Been around blackcoin pumps, pinkcoin pumps (all the color coin pumps), all the country-coin pumps (remember those?), every shitcoin known to man.

I even knew about ethereum (commented on page 4 or 5 on their announcement thread) and was a huge believer in the project. .....but instead of sending btc to their ICO site on a summer day in 2014, I sent it to nitrogen sports with the intention of making more btc to send to their ICO.

Throughout the years, I've done similar things with various alts: Monero, dark-coin (DASH), Cardano, you name it. I had them with hopes of holding onto them to watch their value grow...but couldn't...and gambled it away with 3AM challenger tennis, random soccer matches, or baseball over/unders (though, when I go on a binge, I actually start off pretty damn well, but get tilted the moment I lose a few times).

I'm a big believer in the crypto space but it's difficult for me to hold coins without gambling. The thing is, I have no issue controlling myself when I don't hold crypto. I could go to a casino or wherever and not have any urge to bet with fiat. Idk what it is about cryptocurrency. I just get so into certain coins that I want to make more so that I can get a bigger stack to hodl...but then by trying to get more the quick way, I lose it all.

Anyone feel similar?

How do you combat the urge to gamble with your cryptocurrency?
Your problem is in fact very common, casinos have known for a very long time that people have problems gambling away their money this is why you need to convert your money to chips in the casino, even if you are still holding the very same amount of money the fact that you are now holding casino chips makes you way more likely to gamble a lot more than what you should, so it seems to me that your problem is that you do not really see cryptocurrencies in the same way that you see your fiat and that is why you keep gambling it away, in my opinion you should always think of the value in fiat of your crypto holdings so this does not happen to you again.
The fiat value of chips ≠ Cash value. The volatile crypto market and the untrustworthy fundamentals of gambling finance make it hard to stake or hold the casino balance online, I prefer to split my holdings and the casino altcoins should remain less than 10% of altcoin portfolio. Spending less or more or gambling the rest of funds can be linked to unstable psychological issues, no need to blame the decentralized gambling industry, IMHO.
722  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | Crypto Powered Sportsbook and Casino | 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: May 13, 2020, 09:53:28 PM
Be very careful, Eth hot wallet is dry, users are not receiving their withdrawals.

Staff keeps saying will be fixed, going on 8 hours of broken withdrawals and eth deposits. It's pretty obvious one person runs the show and waiting for them to login, will report back when withdrawals are working, but this is mind blowing how they don't have staff around the clock for these issues.

How can you be a credible book, when you can't even have someone around the clock on for these issues?

I have seen the similar complaints about the ETH withdrawals and the members blamed Eddie, no idea why they pointed this name but the ETH rain on the Stake chat was usually done by Eddie. Surely, this problem will be fixed sooner or later, nothing will go wrong if we stay patient and wait for the replenishment of the ETH  hot wallet of Stake.
723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is like day trading ? on: May 13, 2020, 08:34:49 PM
You're in for emotions and entertainment while gambling. You're in for cash while day-trading. That's the point.
Well, I doubt that most gamblers are just for the entertainment.

It's also attached that most gamblers are in for the profit.

Most of them think that whenever they go to the gambling den or any other places that have the same setting as gambling. They always think that someday their gonna win big time. then the result is you can see them keep coming and coming to that same place with a perspective to win next time. but after next time, nothing has happened and the only thing they get is losing. the entertainment at first became a hobbit and that's when they pay the price. because after that there are only 3 days of winning and 27 days of losing every day if they cannot stop themselves.
Majority of the average gamblers' mind works as you mentioned, they hope and they don't want to give up about the big win bets. The one big shot should cover all losses according to the loser's gambling mind but in reality, things turn differently. Slightly decreasing life conditions and spending life savings on the casinos ruin their life and drain life motivation. In trading, the risks can be controlled and the addiction level is not high as compared to gambling.
724  Economy / Gambling / Re: bitsquare.bet (Crash gambling website) Bonus/Referral/Investments on: May 13, 2020, 08:17:33 PM
Almost the same rules and the same script but nothing new and interesting. I don't know the real reason behind buying the clone script of Bustabit, maybe someone can enlighten us with strong arguments. What kind of bonus system you are promoting and why the gambler should put his money on your website?

Check the thread and you will get the point why no one talks about the positive things on your site. The crappy website layout doesn't attract anyone, think twice before publicly promoting the new crash platform. Everyone looks for interesting features on the new platforms, not the copy-paste. No offense, by the way.
725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering More or Wagering Less on: May 13, 2020, 07:28:04 PM
It's a general perception that if we gamble more, we can get more profit. Also we see gambling sites offering wagering competitions. The more you wager, you become eligible for a reward or prize money.

What's your though on this ?   Wagering more makes you win more money in gambling?
Wagering more means increasing the chance of getting REKT and decreasing the time for burning the balance. It is kinda trade-off and incentives matter here. Wagering competitions are created for attracting the gamblers with lucrative promotions and they are convinced to take the bonus with hitting once. For one hit it can give X amount but we already have wagered more than double of the winning amount. In the long run, the only house wins.
726  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | Crypto Powered Sportsbook and Casino | 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: May 13, 2020, 05:35:09 PM
I played the Limbo game for 5 hours but my gaming experience was not good towards the end of the session. My strategy requires to get new "Client Seed" with applying the "Rotate Seed Pair" but after 40 changes, the system doesn't let me and error pop up: Wait for XX minutes for new seed pair. Why this error happens, isn't changing the player seed unlimited? What is the purpose to limit the rotation of the player side see of the game?

P.S: Hope someone will answer my questions, the Stake team don't have interest to check the thread and give us answers. Sad to see where the biggest gambling platform reached now.
727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel this pressure on physical gambling? on: May 13, 2020, 05:02:32 PM
Yeah, sometimes I can feel the social pressure in my bones. The gamblers circle around me can be disgusting and this forces me to gamble whatever amount I have planned. The physical casinos are not a good choice for those who can easily lose the control of other gamblers regarding both bet limits and adventure.

I am more a fan of sports betting than casino gambling so I don't feel that pressure. I gamble alone or with friends and being with friends doesn't make me act any different. I don't feel like I have something to prove. I play my games the way I like to and don't pay that much attention to other comments.
Same here. The sports betting is completely different compared to casino games, live betting can be an exception. The attention of friends is unnecessary for me if I am sure about my final prediction. Proving something is childish, no reason to show my ability how good I am at something.

729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice to everyone today on: May 12, 2020, 10:49:51 PM
l agree with your opinion about that, we can just realize that date is repeated. Maybe we must care about taking financial freedom. That is why most people hope that they can take this financial freedom from the crypto-world. However, there are also some people, who have not discovered the world till today. Maybe we are lucky about that.

the invitation to buy crypto for financial freedom for now is not very successful because most people are in a state of economic crisis, even more so if that doesn't work then many opinions will emerge to say crypto is a scam.
so the goal must be changed first and then start investing in it.
The days when everyone was buying small altcoins are over, now deal with it. Successful investors are on their home with family and they don't chase the moments in order to talk about their success on the last bull run. Scammers also don't give a "attention" to new traders, they are busy with scamming others. Face with real facts, no need to speculate around the same things which look different.
730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: here comes the alts days? on: May 12, 2020, 10:24:27 PM
As you above mentioned BTC is still keeping in rational rang for days. Most of the people think after BTC halving prices will be exploded and then altcoins will start to rise up. But no doubt it is just identifiable to predict what will happen in the future. There are some risks, but it is no exaggeration to say that the risk is part of the crypto-world. Maybe we must collect BTC and altcoins but which are profitable ( in my view altcoins).
731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in this new IEO on: May 12, 2020, 10:10:01 PM
If you make some research you can see that there are really a lot of profitable projects like BNB. Indeed no doubt some of the projects are absolutely scam and be honest l advice to stay away from them. In my humble estimation l advice also to stay from Latoken, that is why there are a lot of bad news about that and l don't prefer, instead of Latoken, you can choose good others.
732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much have you earned in one year on: May 12, 2020, 09:58:59 PM
It is just secret and l don't think most of them don't want to say about earning them. That is why it is not astute sharing own earning on the forum. But we can realize by the rank of members about their earning. Some of the members have earned in 2017, but it is not the same as last year. No doubt the last year was not a more profitable year as expected.

200$ to 300$ ? Can't really remember the actual number but the experience was so bad and frustrating, still many bounty projects became successful and profitable for bounty hunters in 2019, I missed lots of them good projects in that year
If you only earn $ 200-300 in this market, how can you live with that money? Do you have any other sources of income from outside?
$300 is quite a good amount for some countries in East Asia countries. Look at the wages of the mentioned group of countries, you will get the whole picture if pay attention enough. Monthly salary is around $60 on some third world countries, Google can help you in this matter. Maybe the Opponent takes this money as a form of passive income, who knows?
733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to take advantage of any market situation on: May 12, 2020, 09:43:46 PM
The best method is of course to buy any coin but realize which is the best l prefer top altcoins and collect them till halving. In my view, it is the best way to take advantage of the market situation. It is a really common thing if you realize that there are only a few days till happening the halving, then collect BTC and maybe the best altcoins.
734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto success takes time on: May 12, 2020, 08:55:39 PM
You are right about that, but in my humble opinion every project needs time to grow, l mean every project have own goal and road map. It doesn't depend on investor, absolutely on the project owner. But sometimes it can take a bit long time to achieve own goal, as you mentioned if you are not enough patient, must choose top altcoins. You can get a quicker profit from them.
735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: May 12, 2020, 08:38:46 PM
As you know the event of the market is different than in the past. Just it is forbidden to get out of home and there is not any solution that we can do it. We have to stay at home cause of Corona. During this time I'm making some research about earning money. That is why as you said margin trading and other way are not profitable at the moment.  Making additional passive income will be nice if I can find alternative ways to make more money, altcoin trading is in this category during the global pandemic lockdown.
736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC Halving and its effect on gambling on: May 12, 2020, 08:15:19 PM
I am sure the existing fiat gateway online casinos will not stay away from the popular demand of today's online world. Digital money will be considered more than ever in the next few years, so I am ready to see the real revolution, it doesn't matter anymore it will be sooner or later.

For example, I imagine the days when William Hill and BET365 will open the new opportunities for blockchain technology, they will gladly accept the cryptocurrencies ads the other alternative payment methods. I mentioned these traditional online casinos because I have 13 years old account on both platforms. It is hard to get familiar with the new crypto gambling casinos nowadays.
737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some People Cannot Stop The Urge To Sports Betting And Gamble Even In Pandemic on: May 12, 2020, 06:43:20 PM
That is disappointing.
They have gambled the money that they should use for buying goods. And there's more deserving people that should have been given by that money. I don't know about the people that surrounds me because I'm an introvert but if someone is totally addicted, he really can't stop himself even if his meal is at stake.

We've seen worse than this actually. Some will even bet their kidneys to satisfy.

They are hopefully trying to earn easy money from the money they got from their government and of course, everyone around them got some of it and also want to grow their money. This isn't hard to figure what happens in the ground, two, three to four men having the same amount of money and they all want to have more.

Did you watch a movie called "The Platform"? I ask because the lower points of the elevator are not suitable for accepting life conditions, there will be always the poor people who will look for illegal or unusual ways to feed themselves. Gambling addiction is the last reason why someone should even think about selling his body parts. Unbelievable and unfair life conditions..

P.S: I feel I should edit my post because few people didn't get the underline logic on this post. I don't support selling something to gamble, no matter what. What I said is from my own life experience, everyone doesn't have the same intelligence and willing to live the way we live, unfortunately. They just seek opporutntiees and pay the cost...
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: the halving will end the downtrend of the last price circle on: May 12, 2020, 12:01:21 AM
As you know BTC is right now in a downtrend, indeed we have seen BTC price so good in the days ago. But suddenly it was gone deep and l hope that maybe after the halving something will go on well as expected. Maybe altcoins can get up in this way. It is not an exaggeration to say that dumping happens every time in the cryptocurrencies.

I may be wrong but i got a feeling that the real bull run will start in last quarter of this year, historically it has also been seen that last quarter is usually bullish especially in bullish markets or post halving october, november and december have really pushed prices towards north, whenever it starts i want bull trend to continue for atleast 2 years like we have seen down trend for that long.
Last year, the majority of the forum members on this board said the same sentences here regarding the prediction of the BTC price on the last quarter of the year. Nothing has happened, the EoY drama has ended badly and the latest market pump has been happened due to the big boys who dumped again to the latecomers. Price didn't get declined out of air thin before halving, the market priced halving before halving while everyone has the expectations of a dump right after halving block.
739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO. Buy or not? on: May 11, 2020, 11:47:19 PM
Now I am thinking of buying NEO, what do you think about this? Am I waiting or buying?
NEO is a good product, according to my opinion, why do I mention if NEO is a good product ?? because a coin has a good product, it will survive even though it has long been established
NEO is just one of the best, which has really great volume, it will be really worthwhile to collect NEO. We can just realize that price of NEO is so low and it is the best time to buy NEO. In my humble opinion after the halving, we will see a higher price of altcoin included NEO than right now. Maybe it can happen faster than expected. I will just invest no more than 5% of my investment to this coin because putting all eggs in a single basket will lead to bad consequences.
740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum be taking 1st place in 2020? on: May 11, 2020, 11:29:45 PM
That's never going to happen, even if ethereum upgrades to ETH 2.0 and introduce the proof of stake ability ethereum will still remain the number 2 on coinmarketcap and in crypto space, the highest this update can do is price surge
I completely agree with you, I think not only ETH, but also other alts will not be able to overtake Bitcoin, not now, nor in the future, Bitcoin will always be number 1 on the market and will always dominate.
ETH is really one of the best coins and has more potential to be on the first place. But it doesn't mean there can be any altcoins, which can overtake BTC. It is just impossible to happen that. But if we are talking about ETH will be able to take 1st place in 2020. In my humble estimation, ETH will be number 1 among other altcoins.
The competition is big for second place and ETH Proof of Stake is the barrier to ETH's way to keep remain on that ladder step. The ADA and NEO have the potential ROI as ETH but I doubt the mentioned altcoins will overtake ETH in the long run.
