I play (far too) often, and I admit I have had times where I was thinking WTF?!!? Between generally losing every hand and the amount of blackjacks hit by the dealer.

Then I sit back for a second and think about how fast I am playing, and how long I am playing. If I were at a casino playing at 1/4 the speed I play on bitZino, I would be broke in minutes... Since it is easy to play fast, and there are no other players, and its a program, its easy to have doubts. About the blackjacks, I have gotten at least four, and I want to say it was five, in a row at a physical table. Statistic support or not, I know its possible.
Yeah, when you're playing live, the chances of the dealer getting 3 or more BJ's in a row are ludicrous.  But if Bitzino shuffles 8 decks before each hand it seems more probable.  When playing live, they say the dealer wins the first hand 60% of the time.  Just ask any dealer.  That, in itself, is where Bitzino BJ (and all online BJ) is favored more for the house, imho.

Lesson, don't gamble!

Correction, I was dealt 5 in a row.  How can you call that fair?  Probably not fair.  Props to you my man, you're getting rich!

I still don't understand why you're complaining about winning 5 hands in a row.  It doesn't happen very often, but it happens occasionally.  You got lucky.  Sometimes the dealer will get 5 blackjacks in a row too.

Are you mixing up 'provably' and 'probably'?  They're entirely different concepts.
I'm sorry, let me be more clear.  The dealer had the 5 BJ's in a row.
723  Economy / Gambling / Re: bitZino - Bitcoin Casino - Now featuring 3 Card Poker! on: May 28, 2013, 06:39:38 PM
I received 5 blackjacks in a row.  3 in a row is a statistical improbability let alone 5.  I'm done playing here.

I can assure you that our games are fair. In fact, it is computationally impossible for us to manipulate the outcome of any games played at bitZino, due to the provably fair system of shuffling we use across all of your games. I encourage you to read more about it at https://bitzino.com/about/fair!

I can toss a coin and get heads 5 times in a row, and not because of that I assume that the coin is rigged.
Immediate effects can look skewed, it is the long term what matters.
People should get a lesson in probability before playing gambling games. Read up about Frequentism.
Flipping a coin is a 50-50 chance.  Answer me this how are the cards dealt in blackjack on bitzino?  Is it a new deck of 52 cards every deal?

Make sure you're passing the "--scrypt" command line option to cgminer if you're mining Litecoins. Otherwise it will try to submit SHA256 shares, which are used for Bitcoin but not Litecoin, and they'll all be rejected.
Oh crap, thanks!  Slowly getting this.  Now I'm at 3Kh, I was better off CPU mining. I'm going to play with the parameters.  Ttyl

Edit: got my info from

I was CPU mining on my iMac, getting about 20 Kh/s.

Then I decided to try GPU mining.  My terminal window says it's getting 60+ Mh/s, but when I log into my pool website, it says I'm only getting ~14 Kh/s.

I'm also mining on my iphone 5 (for fun) using MobileMiner.  It says I'm getting 0.79 Kh/s and the pool says 3 Kh/s.

What's the deal?

There doesn't seem to be a direct correlation between hash speed on your system and what the pool reports. For me, it tends to fluctuate depending on how many accepted shares I've sent over the last couple of minutes. I wouldn't worry about the difference.
Thanks, all my shares are being rejected too.  I just started an hr ago.

What are you mining, and what's your cgminer configuration?
LTC, I have the intensity at 9, not sure how to tell you what the config is.  Noob here.  My imac is locked down, I'm on my mpb here.  up to 59 Kh/s now on pool.

733  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: U.S. residents no more Dwolla + MtGox now what? on: May 20, 2013, 03:44:43 PM

Sorry for bumping an old thread - but I havea  question regarding dwolla to campbx and dwolla to bitcoin address

For dwolla to CampBX, on their site they state there is a 31 day holding period.  I have a verified account with Dwolla and did all the necessary procedures of uploading documents and scans.  If you are verified with Dwolla and have been using their service for some months now to Gox, is there still a holding period at CampBX?  I would like to just transfer funds to CampBX and not have to wait 31 days to remove my BTC.  Can anyone verify this for me?

Dwolla to bitcoin address via bitinstant... if this method works as it is advertised, when the funds are sent from Dwolla to bitinstant for transferring to a bitcoin address, at what rate are the coins purchased at?

Thanks!
I don't know about CampBX, never tried it.  I have more $$ heading to Dwolla this week, I'll have to try that.  The rate from Dwolla to bitcoin address is the market price on Mt Gox at that moment, I assume, minus 1.99% fee.  I put $200 in so I was able to buy $196.02 worth of BTC.  A little over 1.57 arrived in my wallet.  So that puts the spot at $124.89.  If you look at the Mt Gox price around 10:30am EST, the price spiked up and didn't really hit 125.  So I'm kinda puzzled why my buy price is higher.  Todays high is $123.59.  So there's definitely something else at play here.  I'm not sure.  I'm gonna go play a little blackjack to get my fees back, LOL!
734  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: U.S. residents no more Dwolla + MtGox now what? on: May 20, 2013, 02:34:14 PM
Just use Dwolla to bitcoin address using bitinstant.  Problem solved.
I just did it.  Dwolla to BTC address using Bitinstant.  After the funds where in my Dwolla account, the whole process took about 3 minutes from Dwolla to BTC wallet.  So people are wandering how to liquidate.  I say use ebay or person to person transactions.

Edit: Is taking forever to confirm
735  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Dwolla | Different Rules for BitInstant? on: May 20, 2013, 11:05:59 AM
I heard USD transactions from a Dwolla balance to Bitinstant get flagged as fraudulent.  However, transactions from Dwolla where Dwolla extracts from your bank account, like PayPal does, is not flagged.  Is there any truth to this?

Interesting that you can't buy contracts with bitcoins.
Yes you can.  I put a contract in my cart and went all the way to the end.  I didn't finish because I don't want to buy and don't have the BTC.  You can pay in BTC or via google wallet.  At this point, I would pay via google, that way there's a trail in case you need it.  No sense paying in BTC until they perform.
