7201  Economy / Economics / Re: Alt coin price manipulation is much easier than with BTC on: November 14, 2017, 02:58:24 PM
Something that became more evident this last week is that Alt coin price pumping/manipulation is MUCH easier than Bitcoin BTC. It only took Roger Ver and his shills a few days to super pump Bitcoin Cash with more than 100%. To have the same effect with BTC, you will have to get most of the BTC whales to act together and this is no easy task.

There are also more BTC exchanges to manipulate than Bitcoin Cash or Alt coin exchanges, so these Alt coin whales can concentrate their efforts for better results on only 1 or 2 exchanges where these coins are traded.

This is going to happen a lot more now, since this was such a huge success for these Pumpers, so be wary.  Roll Eyes
This is not actually surprising since this is really happening since from the start on where trading do began. There would really be always a whale and shills and manipulations cant be avoided since they do have the capability to do so.The thing regarding on price manipulation on altcoin is really much simplier than on bitcoin itself. There are people who do hold lots of coins which they can easily move in and move out as long they do see an opportunity on making money.
7202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can the government or banks create their own crypto? on: November 13, 2017, 06:01:54 PM
With the likes of government , NSA ,banks etc..Could they coordinate into creating their own crypto to defeat Bitcoin?
Creating something like 'Legal Bitcoin' , invest and pump, make it succesfull? Make markets aware
Maybe even create their own cryptography where they could still be able to decypher code if they needed to?

When we do make use of the word cryptocurrency then this thing signifies the decentralized way of thing and when government would decide to make on their own then its really possible since they do really capable on doing such thing. Knowing that our government or any government will really go into the things on where they would able to get some part or money. They can create their own centralized coin sooner or later but it will surely happen.
7203  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchian.info 1000 sat/b fee on: November 13, 2017, 04:43:59 PM
Check out again the fee on blockchain.info it was calmed down and the sat/b fee was lowered as the price of bitcoin is now pumping again.

Unconfirmed transactions are now down to 117k from 170k+ so this is a good indication that many miners are now back to mine bitcoin.

The lowest sat/b now is this
Quote
173 sat/b or more is recommended.

As of writing the unconfirmed transaction was down to 108k already which means theres a change on where miners are already getting back to to their work and I do actually wait for this thing to happen this is why I didn't make any transaction on previous weeks because of ridiculous prices even setting out huge fees wont guarantee you to transfer instantly or on a short duration of time but now everything would really goes back to normal.Lets just wait for a couple of days.
7204  Other / Off-topic / Re: world without bitcoins......!!!1 on: November 13, 2017, 04:19:30 PM
the world will be fine without bitcoin and people will do their work as usual but if bitcoin is exist then people can search other things to help them to make money. bitcoin can give to them the biggest opportunity to earn more money for them and they can solve their problem and beside that people have a new investment that they can use for their future so in future if the price is up, they can also make big money from bitcoin. this is the reason people join in the bitcoin and if bitcoin is not exist then we don't have the best investment for our future.
This is true and come to think off back in previous years and lets say we do come back on year 2007 on when bitcoin isn't still there yet. How do people done their payment system using our traditional way if bitcoin isn't there yet then we wont really change at all and people would come back to the good old ways and bitcoin is just an alternative or sideway when it comes on new payment innovation. World would still able to live without it because technology do evolves fast and comes a point on where those banks would create their own e-currency.
7205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why is bitcoin cash rising all of a sudden? is it killing original bitcoin? on: November 13, 2017, 03:25:57 PM
I see that bitcoin cash is rising dramatically topping Ripple volume.
why is it happening?
It is already going down as of now and the drama and the hype is already settled as we can see the price is already decreasing and now bitcoins price is gradually increasing again which means profit takers did already make their move and for those people who did get in on late for sure do have the dilemma on how they would get out specially if they are already on negative floating. No one can kill bitcoin even if its price do decrease but later on it does recover again.
7206  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin actually just a Investment coin? on: November 13, 2017, 02:59:50 PM
I think the title says it all.

After a long time of thinking, reading and also investing a bit into Bitcoin I have to say that it looks for me that the main use is actually just pure Investment. It always looks like that everyone just talks about how great the Technology is although they secretly want to get super rich with a always raising price. Of course it's used with several shopping or daily things, but that's just such a small part of it.
During that, people who don't want to take the risk to invest call it a "Bubble" and people who don't want to lose their money just make kind of stupid speculations without any arguments.

In the end (just my opinion) the price of Bitcoin is controlled by all the media (that's hyping bitcoin and talking about it everywhere) and all the really big bitcoin whales with e.g. like 10000+ coins can actually effect the market the most. Imagine what a few people with a huge amount of bitcoins could work out together to control the market and making money.

It's just weird, because it turns this, what everyone calls it, great technology in the end just to a fully commercial object to earn money. Which would be probably also the reason why it stays and raises all the time, because it's normal that everyone wants to make a big amount of money with this little effort.

Let me know what you guys think and please don't give me this non argumented one liner like in all the other threads Wink
Its the reality indeed on which most people do really have the hidden motives or perception on getting rich or making good profits into bitcoin even if they would say into other people or on public that they do like the innovation and benefit that it gives. I have the same view regarding on bitcoin is just being treated as an investment purely not totally on its actual usage on where it is being stated on its own whitepaper. You cant blame people though because if money is involve it would really be a different story.
7207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: If the Yobit was a scam exchange ? on: November 12, 2017, 05:51:47 PM
Yes they scammed your 2 eth  Roll Eyes Yobit exchange is alive for a long time, you may send support an email if there is really a problem with your transaction.
I agree on the thing that yobit is quiet alive for a long time now and there are still people who do make use of them and the true "HELL" start on here when theres a problem regarding on the site on which when you tried out to contact their support it takes ages for them to respond regarding on your issue which do really such and to know the truth that Yobit is already famous on its title to have the worst support ever on an exchange.
7208  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ShapeShift.io problem (sent money, "failed") on: November 12, 2017, 04:18:08 PM
I got the same problem yesterday.
In block chain explorer, There are 6+ confirmation already. But the transaction in shapeshift still at "Awaiting Deposit" status!
Already submit the request (#98283) But 12 hours passed but still got no response.
I loss quite a lot from this delay.
Will update status when I have responses from them.
ss transation:
https://shapeshift.io/#/status/ead99140-49f6-4839-b4d6-95e1b98f6949
block chain status:
https://blockchain.info/address/3624kwTf3zr1HBVWcjpntUxHfACis2fJit
If the transaction has taken 6+ confirmations on blockchain why shouldn't it be confirmed on shapeshift?
It intimates to shapeshift's poorest quality. If you have not set backup address, then i think you will not get bacj your money.
Try to contact support team, may be they put your backup address manually and return your delayed money.
They cant grant such thing which If you haven't putted your backup or refund address then they will really not bother to give it again to you that's why its really important to put up that refund address so that you would able to avoid the hassle when somethings goes wrong with your exchange into another coin. I have experience on not crediting the ETH which I do exchange for BTC but luckily I have putted my refund address and contact their support and resolved the problem fast.
7209  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Holding BTC vs Day trading or short term trading. on: November 12, 2017, 03:49:38 PM
So I have been in crypto for a while now, February precisely, and regrettably I wish I had never dabbled into day trading or short term trading. I have been burnt a lot trying to play the game of trading. Often times I end up buy too high thereby becoming a bagholder, and when I finally sell, it's at a loss.
So I can't help but wish I had just held on to my BTC. Would have been grinning from ear to ear today.  #Lessonlearned
Good you have learnt your lessons and which obviously balls down to the fact that you did not learn before starting to trade or you just followed some signals blindly and you were led wrongly. The thing is that it is better to hold and not trade at all when you do not have the skills to trade because you will always get burnt. Lots of people have, and so many people will even in future. However, if you are good, short term trading has been very effective, for me anyway and you can make a whole lot from it.
Short trading can be learned though but would really takes time for you to master it and would really depend if a person can easily caught up or do have the time to put into day trading which we do know it does really require too much time and effort fro you to master it.Even professional traders do commit mistakes and in the situation of newbie we do really make mistakes and cant be avoided since we do lack of knowledge but later on when we do already know those things we would really avoid that on next trades.

7211  Economy / Securities / Re: I have access to electricity with 0 cost, need someone to invest in a farm on: November 11, 2017, 03:07:58 PM
hi guys, I have electricity with zero cost and building where we can make a farm (building needs to be reorganized).  I'm new around this topic but researched a lot past 2 days and finally got conclusion that's mining is only profitable with very low or 0 cost electricity so it's nice opportunity  Grin Grin. If someone is interested please let me know. I'm thinking about investment under 50k from the beginning and if everything goes well then we go big  Cool Cool

I'll appreciate if you tell me any other useful places to post all about this

P.S Country : Georgia.  (bitfury invested 100 mln here for building megafarm  Shocked Shocked Shocked)
Things aren't like that my dear man. I and mettalmag (one user here) are from georgia, mettalmag is seriously in mining and believe me with relationships it would be easily done and there wouldn't be need of paying electricity fees.
I think I know where you live and don't try that because it's not legal. Imagine then Bitfury would buy a place in where you live and mine for free, maybe you can buy 1 antminer and mine but DON'T DO THIS FOR YOUR SAFETY.
On another hand you know what to do..

Answered, it seems not legal and Op just want to test whether there is someone so fool to give his money. Fortunately, no one want to. Seems like mining industry in Georgia could be done with low cost and even free electricity, it's a good thing for people who lives in there. Although no one willing to invest, you should try to get loan from some friends or family to buy antminer, but do it legally and don't try to get a loan from the bank.
It could be done with low cost, not with free electricity. Here are some places where people have free electricity and there is a reason for that, also mining with only 1 antminer can be considered safe too but farm? No man, you will get a huge strike from goverment because this means you use electricity for comercial things + you hide it + you don't pay goverment it's fees = illegal action.
Forget wonders, be reals and don't think that you are the only smart person who found this way, there was already thought about that free electricity for 100x time by more serious people.
They would really sue you and you would really need to pay up taxes when government finds out that you are generating good income with those energy that you do consume that's why its not ideal to build carelessly if you don't really know on how your government would react on such activity. As I have posted before I don't really believe on free electricity charge since everything now has its own charge.
7212  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What you think about my plan ? on: November 11, 2017, 12:28:07 PM
Hi guys i saw some videos on YouTube which was about mining.First i saw a video in which a guy was mining with his i7 PC plus 1080 GTX Graphic card plus 4gb ram and he said he can make 50$ per month
and then i saw an other video that was relate to Ant miner s7. A guy said he can earn something 0.3btc per month with that but Antminer s7 cost highly like 1000$ plus. I am interested with this machine

i don't have 1000$ but i can earn it with my plan

ok i am thinking about my plan which is

i am going to bought a NEW pc i7 and a 1080 graphic card and start mining with it.After reaching 1000$ from that mining. i will bought Antminer s7 What you think ?. I need your suggest before doing any thing

Thank you

if you think that's good I support, just buy pc i7 if you already understand how to get $ 50 a month. pc i7 is very good for the bitcoin mined place because the speed is very fast.
Thinking off that I7 processor isn't really necessary for GPU mining which you would really only need powerful gpu that would really able to mine some alts. Turns out that profitability would really depend on the electricity cost on your country and if I were you I would go for altcoin mining since you can able to choose up altcoins which do have lower difficulty on mining so that you would able to see if it would profitable for you or not. There are lots of videos on how to set up your own gpu mining rig.
7213  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A project for the community on: November 10, 2017, 04:22:32 PM
There's already Airdropalert.com. I've been in several airdrops in the past, some were worth it, some aren't worth anything.
It would be really nice to have a site with complete information, including a field to enter your current holdings for airdrops based on Bitoin balances, but for many airdrops, you can only know it's real value months later.
It would also be nice to have a complete overview of how to join, from instructions on how to install the best wallet to where to sell tokens. I see a big problem though: once you have a nice site like this, and you make it easier for more people to join more airdrops, you'll be overloaded with more new airdrops, which makes it harder to pick the valuable ones.

Another idea just popped up in my head: Dust to Charity!
I've had (and still have) many different altcoins, all barely worth anything, and for sure not worth the time to figure out how to sell them for a few pennies. I imagine many people have this "problem". Wouldn't it be nice to create a website where you can just upload old and almost empty altcoin wallets, after which the site collects them, and once worth it, sells them to donate the proceedings to some (crypto related) charity?

I'm aware of Airdropalert but I was thinking about making something that contains more information's (much more) just like you suggested. Dust to charity looks like a good idea but ...I may not do it. Charities or non profit organizations usually accept BTC, Litecoin, Dogecoin or ETH at maximum and If people donate less known currencies, I will have to manually search for the exchanges and then trade them for BTC or something else, then donate them which will make somehow the whole process less transparent and hard to track by the donators.

I think it's a good idea to do something around ICO's, but there are already enough websites that are offering news and info about airdrops.

I'd personally be more interested in a website that provides accurate information about the ICO's, without doing paid op-eds.
Have every ICO thoroughly researched and asses the viability of the project and give out more information about the team members.

You'd need a lot of writers though if you are not planning on adding content yourself.

There are a lot of ICOs, I'm not that good at doing in-depth reviews so I must hire a big team to do so. I don't think I will go with this.
That would really require a lot of work on which finding informations on each ICO knowing that almost time to time theres a new project been launched and investigating or researching them would really consume too much time and resources for sure.I do love the idea on building on airdrop website but as being said airdropalert is already been here.If you do like to really have a airdrop notifier website then better to add up unique thing instead of those alerts alone, like posting recent prices of top cryptocurrencies or any other things that would be beneficial.I cant think off already since almost these things are already online.
7214  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The PornChain: Need your opinion and much more need your help on: November 10, 2017, 10:47:58 AM
What do you think about?

I do not understand where you say: " also allowing a miner for the free area (just like TPB but in most legal way) ",
But while the idea of creating an adult content site where you accept cryptos for the premium-area is not a bad idea, it might be a good idea if you can compete with the giant adult content sites

After all these stupid coins for various kinds...

every day we have coins with ridiculous names

also allowing a miner for the free area (just like TPB but in most legal way) ", maybe he do mean that those viewers would able to mine for him. Just like what you saw on coinhive. These kind of sites are really good for those kind of mining because people do stay longer on porn sites but I would say this thing wont hit for sure and same as you said its a good idea for a porn site that do accept bitcoin for their services.
7215  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: If I sell my bitcoins do I have to pay vat on them ? on: November 10, 2017, 08:54:23 AM
VAT is usually paid when you buy things isnt it? I mean its an indirect tax and its incorporated into the price...  Tongue

Yeah right, but in my personal experience when i converted my btc into fiat money, I am not paying any taxes aside from the fees that my wallet implemented. I think the company of my wallet those are the one paying taxes through my fees.
Same here on my side on where my local exchange wallet provider doesn't charge or get any taxes from its users aside on the network fee which means you can totally evade taxes if you do really like to since its still not regulated here or have a low regarding on imposing taxes on those bitcoin or altcoin earners. We do know that possibilities of big income do exist here on bitcoin. Its up to you if you are still willing to pay up taxes or not.
7216  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HashFlare.io gone out of there mind on: November 10, 2017, 06:18:45 AM
They made their move, And I visit my account since I have several ETH there, though I will not recommend to invest on this site anymore and to update the OP here's the new rates of the minimum withdraw of each available mining on hashflare

Code:
Update 08.11.2017 13:15:00 UTC:
Withdrawals are enabled, however, the minimum withdrawal amounts have been temporarily increased for monitoring purposes. We estimate this to be reverted within the next few days.
The temporary amounts are currently:
Bitcoin: 0.1 BTC
Ethereum: 2.5 ETH
Dash: 1.5 DASH
ZEC: 1.5 ZEC
Quoted from Hashflare.io

However 2.5 ETH I still to high for the minimum withdraw lol

That is still too much, $750 worth of withdrawal? So this is what happened with their for the next "48 hours" and they promised again to change it for next few "days". What are they trying to do with their investors, this is really going through into something. Did you ever withdraw your funds there already? If I were you I'm going to rush to quickly get out of their platform anyway. To those newbies out there just don't invest on them anymore.
I haven't see their official thread on here regarding on updates if they did able to revert it back or it just the same. Those numbers for minimum withdrawal is insane and they do said that they are monitoring something? What they do monitor? Investors do really have the rights regarding on their percentage and I cant really sustain for too long on seeing my funds pending on the site. I know that you know what I mean when it comes on possible scam later on. better to secure first than regretting on the end.
7217  Economy / Economics / Re: 99% of the people still think that fiat money are better than crypto on: November 09, 2017, 05:56:12 PM
So what's wrong in it. It is true, in all of the world if 99% people prefer to fiat then they do it right. Fiat is our first currency and crypto currency we are using it just for increasing our fiat money. I am also one of them who believe on fiat currency, because fiat is our own currency and crypto is just for our investment or trading and we could do it only on online world.
Seconded. People will really normally choose fiat than on bitcoin if they would able to hear about it. They would really always choose on the thing that have been used for how many centuries and decades have passed. Knowing that theres no other thing that we do use to buy goods or trade but just using our own local fiat this is why people will always trust this thing no matter what and bitcoin would really just remain as an alternative.
7218  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What to do with BTC during SegWit2x? on: November 09, 2017, 04:24:32 PM
I have some Bitcoin that I purchased on Paxful a few weeks back and it still resides there.

What would you do with the Bitcoin during the SegWit2x and why?

Since this post been asked before the recent news about on segwit then for now we wont need to do something because segwit2x have been cancelled which means there would be no split and there would be no b2x therefore we shouldn't really bother as of now.For sure people now would really plan to dump but yet the price is still stabilizing on above 7k price point.
7219  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining with no electricity cost on: November 09, 2017, 03:42:13 PM
Hello,

I'm an entrepreneur from Pakistan. One of my companies is into rental power where we generate electricity and sell it to the government. I have over 5MW in surplus that I can use for a mining operation. I can also invest heavily into buying state of the art miners. Wanted to know what are the profits like per miner and how to setup operations. Also how sure shot is this business and if the miners consistently generate income streams.

The location is centrally air conditioned with a 100MBPS internet connection.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Regards,
Jahanzaib
When talking about free electricity since you do mention that you do have allocated some energy then it would really be heaven for mining operations since you wont really be charged up for energy consumption. It would really be more worth it if you do try to make large-scale bitcoin miners and for sure you would really feel the profits but consider that theres always a risk on these kind of investment.
7220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM locations on a rapid increase... wow on: November 09, 2017, 02:32:10 PM
October 6, 2017 had 92 ATM machines in my city.... today, November 8th, 2017, we have 109.
20% increase in the past month, in June there was around 64 BTC ATM machines. Crazy.
In what country you do live? Its amazing that there are already 92 ATM machines being placed which means bitcoin adoption is high on there and unluckily the number of bitcoin atm in my country is on 1 which is being only placed on capital city. Unlucky for those people who do live on province which they would really miss the chance on using it physically but well I do still hope that it would increase even more same on your country. Good to hear this kind of adoption.
