People often overestimate the actual help and contribution of bitcoin in today’s current society. IMO, besides the technology and freedom bitcoin offers, it also taught us how to think beyond the constraints put forth by the governments and whatnot. We have learned to look for avenues through which we can ensure our own safety and privacy in a world where data leaks and information-gathering is condoned. Simply put, we are inspired by bitcoin to be free, to think and to innovate—secondary would be its properties that helped people carry on with their beliefs.
First point of what I said summed up what bitcoin had really contributed and the ones that we feel and see right now.

NBA and football would be nice, as they are the sports which has the most number of events at this time of the year. Esports is pretty lame knowing that there are only a few premier tourneys in line for the last quarter of the year.
And for sure, the above-mentioned sports categories would receive a massive following and your thread could be a hit as many people follow the said sports. As for the edits, try doing your OP self-moderated? But yeah, that wouldn’t change a thing, and the freedom to change posts within the 10-minute interval would be a bummer, so perhaps just adjust your timer to that said period then.

Poloniex is just doing what Binance did: leaving the US soil for a while and creating their own global firm with the aim to establish a separate market for the US residents and cater the rest of the world at the same time. Though they may not be the best crypto exchange there is today, they remain to be one of the few reliable ones when it comes to the platform—though not gonna lie their customer support until now is pretty lame.

Bitcoin is a deflationary currency, not a delusionary one, and with your given scenario, people would certainly not risk it, or at least most of them won’t and the markets you can only spend it with are probably the ones that are not legal and are prone to hacks, thefts, criminalities etc. Also, all governments banning bitcoin per se is already an impossible thing to happen, so why dig deeper in the rabbit hole and make things even dumber?

Online games would be nice, and I think I wouldn’t have spent long ass times pondering about the money I have lost all throughout the years due to my stints in gambling. Furthermore, I may have finished my doctorate a little bit earlier had it not been to the financial troubles I’ve been through which was primarily caused by gambling. But oh well, I have become one of the degenerates and I gladly embrace that life now.

Even Localbitcoins, which used to be the king of P2P trading is waning na rin when it comes to market share at appeal sa mga users over time. Not to mention na hindi na talaga P2P ang trip ng karamihan sa mga trader ngayon at more on the side of convenience and efficiency na sila, which is your traditional exchange platforms.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Unionbank’s advancements when it comes to bridging the gap between traditional banks and cryptocurrencies, pero mas convenient, mura at mabilis pa rin mag cash-in to buy bitcoin sa coins.ph at mga nabanggit mong outlet pati na rin magcash out dito. 2-5% ang trading fee sa bitcoin ATM ng Unionbank depending on the amount the last time I checked.

The HK protests is the least covered important event in the world currently. Most of them are fighting for their autonomy against Mainland China which is spearheading the ELAB movement. There really is no reason for them to use bitcoin at all knowing that no forms of currency are being banned on HK currently, but they can boycott CNY and HKD if they want and use anything else. This political outrage happening there should not be capitalized upon by those who are only wishing to get more profits and not really care for the welfare of those who are in HK.

I highly doubt it can still happen today, and even with the current technologies that we have right now concerning cryptography and whatnot, it is still remotely possible for any such things to happen. If one vulnerability ever exist that could harm the whole of bitcoin, it already has been done by now and we wouldn’t be having this conversation even. But fortunately there isn’t, and if there is it would easily be patched and fixed.

As I previously mentioned, smartphones would be the ones revolutionizing the whole of the economic scene due to most traditional banks moving towards a more digital-friendly environment and making everything online. As the last ones of the people using passbooks come to perish, banks would surely be moving towards a more convenient and faster way of banking, although of course physical branches would still be handy for traditional services such as ATM card replacements and such.

I wonder why most of the pro-bitcoiners appearing nowadays are Republicans? Some have already expressed distaste with Libra and some of the partners are already pulling out their share on the pie so it’s not surprising that some people, including this certain congressman to address his concerns regarding Libre and bitcoin. I just hope that his support does not end after giving his statement but rather introduce bills that would help bitcoin prosper in the US.

There is one I can think of. GRAM aspires to be just like one of the many cryptocurrencies out there whereas Libra just wants to be the cryptoworld's fiat, or a standard of value just like what USD is to the world. GRAM isn't really picky on what exchanges want to pick it and Libra is nitpicking everything albeit being the shady big company Facebook Inc. has been for the past 4 years. GRAM has a bright future ahead of it should it just continue the pace and remain as is but for Libra? I don't think so. Regulators and some of its partners are already against it, too, so you know that something ain't right with Libra after all.

How many times do we have to tell people the Brexit has nothing to do with bitcoin, not even in the farthest sense? Greece's problems with the EU has long been speculated to be tied with bitcoin's future movements, but what happened? Bitcoin continued to push while the issue has been buried away in time. Brexit, too, has long been rumored to take down bitcoin with it but what? People have been politicizing bitcoin for far too long and connecting it with nonsense political gibberish doesn't mean it's going to happen. Traders only want to make money, they don't want your problems and dilemma on whether to go for a no-deal Brexit or whatever it is that you guys have in mind.

Kavaliauskas has posted quite a mediocre performance on his last bout against Ray Robinson resulting into a draw. He would have won that fight had he not hesitated to go into Robinson's defense in the last 4 rounds or so. Anyway, I still see this match as a one-sided one with the clear winner from Crawford. Yes, they may both be undefeated, but Crawford still has an awful lot of weight with his last wins against Amir Khan, Jeff Horn among others. I'd skip this match-up as this is certainly not the ones that you can get some juice on, especially with one clearly having the huge disadvantage against the other.

I would not be surprised if this turns out to be true. A huge portion of the Korean market is literally just them for themselves and are not open to foreign traders and players. The amount of wash trading happening within these markets are insanely high as well, affecting even the most obscure names in the cryptocurrency markets. And of course, some operators may have gauge the market incorrectly and pushed through with their platform anyway, causing what's happening right now.

While the exchange platform close its doors sa mga traders, I know for one na mayroong nakaabang na papasok sa market. I'm actually in talks with their lead developer at management na rin regarding sa inputs ng bagong padating na platform. They're already in the works of procuring licenses from BSP at isasagawa na rin yung AML/KYC regulations screening sa kanila some time within this month. I want to divulge more information regarding the new exchange platform but all I can say is that it's from a startup company based here in the Philippines, so mas madadagdagan yung mga local players natin sa cryptocurrency world.

This in itself is already a good news considering that UNICEF is already supporting the growth of organizations to which they will allocate the funds to plus the idea that cryptocurrencies can be used as is without having the need to convert to fiat. UNICEF has not been that transparent to those who they are planning to fund but their reports usually come out after the success of the projects they have invested/donated to, so there's that. I'm keen to know how would they move forward from here, and whether they are going to spread the word out or not.

This is actually not the first time na may ganitong pangyayari na may gumaya ng layout ng bitcointalk para gamitin sa phishing. Just a few years ago, may mga newbies na mag-ppm sa mga user na manghihingi ng inputs regarding a certain topic. The discussion seems to be relevant and somewhat belongs to bitcointalk nga pero the moment na icheck mo yung url eh dun ka na magtataka dahil hindi siya akma sa totoong url ng forum na ito.
The only way to combat this is to stay vigilant at all times.

This is true. Don't chase merits but instead chase improving your post quality and engage on topics that you know really well and contribute new knowledge and the merits will come naturally. Oftentimes, chasing merits lead to posts that are not really contributing and/or plagiarizing articles/other forum's comments which will result into bans. There are a lot of merit sources nowadays patrolling around the whole forum, giving out merits to those who deserve them, and not those who seek them, so just improve on your post quality and not go for merits exclusively.
