"The Post said it withheld the rest, and kept some information out of its reporting, in consultation with the Obama administration to protect U.S. intelligence sources and methods."

Censorship at its finest.

7225  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [BEWARE] on: August 31, 2013, 01:50:57 PM
I'm always wary of unsolicited private messages, epsically ones with links in the,.  Thanks for the warning.

I don't know how they target people because I don't receive any of these.
And what do they say?  "You just won 1000 btc, click  here to receive them"? Cheesy

I think it's usually something like "you just won x btc, download the private key: wallet.dat.exe"
7226  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cloudflare and online wallets on: August 31, 2013, 01:49:56 PM
I don't understand, you say that most of the online wallet are unsafe because they use cloudfare, and then, you show that more online wallets are safe and don't use cloudfare  Huh

And would you mind to explain why cloudfare is a problem? And makes the website unsafe.
Blockchain.info is the most used online wallet so far I think.

cloudflare is between the user and website so they have the ssl keys apparently

7228  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where can I buy BTC with paypal on: August 31, 2013, 01:43:56 PM
Sorry I'm new to these eletronic currencies, but when I go to that site I see only L$ / C$ / OM˘ Shop and not BTC, also do you know the fee for buying there?

What you do is first by the L$ with paypal, then use the L$ you can exchange for BTC.

wow people still play that game, and to the degree they will buy its cash..

I'm not sure about playing the game, but a lot of people use virwox for paypal -> 2nd life -> bitcoin, since it's one of the few methods to buy btc with paypal.
7229  Economy / Services / Re: Jacktheking [Selling Post For Bitcoin] on: August 31, 2013, 01:42:47 PM
I find it amusing that this thread contains your longest post so far.
7230  Economy / Services / Re: FreeBitCoin on: August 31, 2013, 01:42:14 PM
Make a video, download it from your link, upload it to virustotal and try it, if it works I'll give you 0.05 BTC.

A video can be easily faked, but can a file hash be faked easily? Do you know what the hashes listed on the Virustotal link are for? In case you can't find them, here they are:

MD5 694ccff84a7b8d7428a75c7ba623a829
SHA1 ffed75882eefce5323e93048c1f77c34df11ffb5
SHA256 94debdb2bf6f01ce7e0ebee5de6c7da3cf79359de52cf06c84603a4e173b153a

Even more identifying information can be found in the tabs "File detail" and "Additional information". If you download the file and check the hash, you can know for sure that the link on VirusTotal corresponds with the file. You can even reupload it to check. This is not something that can be proven by a video.

Please send 0.05 BTC or an appropriate tip to 1CQgDnR85hKUwMHmZ4oCuReYMcpsvLgjue , since I am the first to provide reasonable proof. Thank you.
It's actually 0.50 BTC, he edited his post... Probably thought no one would notice lol

What a silly thing to do. Come out xDeathwing... :-)
7231  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cloudflare and online wallets on: August 31, 2013, 01:40:38 PM
blockchain.info can't be mitm'd, the hashes are calculated in your browser i think? i haven't read too much on the subject.
7232  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You may remember me. on: August 31, 2013, 01:39:35 PM
Atlas? I thought you were banned...
He is. Actually he has been banned several dozen times.
Also, OP is not Atlas. It's dank.

Perhaps dank is Atlas.

Atlas was not the #1 SR customer iirc
7233  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can Buttercoin achieve their goals with the current market? on: August 31, 2013, 01:39:03 PM
It seems like a good idea, because it helps people obtain BTC easier. I hope it allows for more adoption!
7234  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [BEWARE] on: August 31, 2013, 01:38:16 PM
Always exercise caution when running suspicious programs. Formatting your HDD was a good choice. You never know what nasty stuff you have on your PC. Looks like a dark comet rat infection from the screenshot? Other users can try Dark Comet RAT remover tool instead of formatting (although it may not work 100%)
7235  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buying coins online on: August 31, 2013, 01:36:36 PM
I prefer bitcoin.de or bitstamp!

Referral link probably.

why did you include a smarturl.it? Seems fishy.
Real (direct) link is: https://www.bitcoin.de

7239  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie from Germany on: August 31, 2013, 01:34:39 PM
Hi, i look forward to seeing how you plan to explain BTC to them. It would be hard to explain it to someone without a lot of computer knowledge.
7240  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another Nube on: August 31, 2013, 01:34:03 PM
Thanks again for the warm welcome and encouragement.

I thought a forum where the goal is to "mine" create money would be less welcoming, but I was wrong :-)

You're welcome! Not only is it 'creating' 'money', but it is also securing the Bitcoin network.
