A former Counterparty user here, and they got their cryptocurrency started by creating "burn" addresses in Bitcoin (addresses that couldn't spend the utxos, making them unspendable). The idea was, to back Counterparty, you'd need to destroy Bitcoin, so they hoped to reduce speculation driven backing -- that's another story but this was a use case I remember. Their burn address still gets some BTC! 1CounterpartyXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXUWLpVr over 2.1k BTC and counting.

Dallas and LA both couldn't win, so I'm going to recycle the tennis selections for this pick as they haven't played yet. Annoying, but I'm going to go even more exotic today with Kenyan, Finnish and LatAm selections. No insurance on this one, but I'll take the boost equally. 100 units at Sportsbet on Huachipato, Tampereen Ilves, Kariobangi, Swiated, Sabalenka WIN @15.89. Other odds: 14.99 Units advantage: 90 Running advantage after 400 bets: +26,962 (+173) All-time cumulative: +65,360 Running units after 399 bets (63W|336L): +13,978 (-100)

Won a freebet from one of the Fortunejack contests organized by Hhampuz and decided to make a 3- fold on EURO 2020. Happy to say that I won it ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) ; most happy about the bet Denmark > 1.5 goals as there was quite some value in it. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.ibb.co%2F6ZRHLB2%2Ffortunejack.png&t=663&c=M0bycNm-S6sTYg) Nice win there, would have been proud to snag this meself. Ranking really poorly on the entire EURO 1x2 Jackmate so no free bets for me over there. Anyone who won one of the big prizes want to share their best freebet parlay? Looking forward to multiplier contest mentioned above -- also hope to see a Jackmate with weighted points or some kind of bonus system for people picking higher odds and unlikely picks as I'm right in there with you longshot people!

Binance charges 0.0005BTC for each withdrawal. actually I feel the fee is quite high compared to the times I trade and I am really fed up with withdrawals that have to pay such fees.
Haven't done a withdrawal from exchanges for a long time now. Only use them to cash out to fiat, where the fees are either free or 0.80 EUR (Binance and it's instant SEPA so it's not bad). I'd have thought they'd be adjusting fees by now, that's $17.50 at today's BTC price a pop! I did pay a 60 sat/byte fee last week for a rather annoying urgent tx, but that's a lot, a lot higher than the average or mean I've been paying all year. 1 sat's been smooth sailing for most of this 2021. Why're you using it to w/d btc so often though? I get it for one-off buys but...

^Like you said, sounds like a good opportunity for all those other newbie miners to come on into the scene now, though, right? All those standing on the sidelines, startups in Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan (all that idle hydropower promising loads of wealth).
Though estimates at next diff adjustment show above 20% increase, so maybe it's not going to be such a big impact after all? Those mining equipment getting shipped out of the East gotta end up somewhere.

Nice post op and yes, the problem isn't and has never been the minimum. Even where there are tax breaks, those if done right are to incentivise new business to come up and to attract foreign investment.
The problem always has been and will continue to be aggressive tax optimisation -- skirting the law to legally avoid tax. Countries just have to make it as important to do a business, register it, and pay taxes in good faith. And hell, make them pay dearly for not doing so.

@rdbase ouch on Italy cards, weird about them isn't it? Was just saying in the main thread I picked the Bottas one (15/1), which I know is probably not happening but that kind of value is impossible to ignore for me. He wasn't too far off in qualification time. Verstappen's hot in form and I normally also like to follow form but don't really know enough about F1 to put that kind of money down -- good luck to you, though! All picks still in top 4 position with 18 laps done. I've been waiting for COPA specials though! Are we not getting them because of location?

F1 specials today, took the 15/1 Bottas win, skipping Hamilton 6/1 and Verstappen 2/1. Anyone else following motor racing today? Will wait tomorrow to see where I spend my free bet from 4-3-free from Italy's win (only missed the yellow card timing). @buwaytress
I have to confess to not being an international football fan. I watch & bet on games but it’s a tribalism thing with English Liverpool fans. We don’t care for the national team.
England were impressive though & good to see Hendo net.
Still think Italy win the tournament though.
I kinda of get it, looking at my own younger days when I actually had a real club to follow (though too young to even know about online sportsbooks etc) -- we didn't always have representation at national level and it's a whole different level there, often betting against my own national team, knowing how badly we're capable of playing when the time calls for it ha! Hendo's a good influence on the team, good old fashioned barking captain. Nice if they win, but yeah, for my bankroll, looking good with the form Italy's in.

You dont want BTC to dump? You need to stop it from pumping - taking it out from all exchanges and blocking P2P trading - impossible.
Mm hmm. It's such a simple equation at the end of the day. More people wanting to buy than selling, then price goes up. And the other way round is true. If we're not prepared to take the dumps on the chin, shouldn't be expecting to enjoy the pumps either! Bitcoin rising because of positive issues people all happy. But Bitcoin drop because of negative issues, why people so angry? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Not me. I'm in best case, a little nervous during pumps. I always, always, prefer the ultra slow burn on the rise to the top, never been a massive fan of the all-stops-pulled crazy rallies.

I'm sure many people hope Italy vs England will be the final match of Euro 2020. But I prefer Spain vs England among the 4 scenarios above. Although Italy has been impressive so far, Spain should not be underestimated.
I'm one hoping it's Italy Denmark (only because of an outright still riding on Italy that pays more than the Spain outright I also have haha), but yeah, hard to see how England can lose the semi, and Spain aren't going to be pushovers. Italy probably deserve it most after their entire tourney performance, I mean goals and goals from an Italian team, they're really exorcising the ghosts of defensive reputation aren't they?

Wow we got blown away, by an England that actually played Jadon Sancho from the start. Wasn't all credit to him of course, Shaw had two assists and even Sterling did. All good, all good. Let's do a nice mix up today adding only 2 football picks from MLS. 100 units boosted, insured at Sportsbet on Dallas, LA Galaxy, Slovenia (Olympics basketball), Swiatek, Sabalenka (womens Wimbledon) to WIN @19.61. Other odds: 17.88 Units advantage: 173 Running advantage after 399 bets: +26,789 (+173) All-time cumulative: +65,187 Running units after 398 bets (63W|335L): +14,078 (-100)

Yeah, I do hope so because I have a lot of stakes in Binance and that's the last thing that I want but I am trying to put all the possibilities out there and I am glad that I am wrong about it.
Well you better be taking all those stakes out of Binance then, my friend. Bad news or not, Binance, like any exchange run by a company, is at much more risk than they'll ever let you find out. Hacks? They've already had one, and had to come clean when someone found out -- imagine what else goes on you'll never know about. Don't trust the SAFU nonsense, self and sole custody. Do it. This. It's going to be a bit unlikely for them to close. I mean, they have all the money in the world to pay for the best lawyers. With that said, definitely still not impossible though. Binance have always liked to position themselves in the sort of gray area in terms of regulations, to get as much users as possible.
Banks have a budget line actually called penalties and fines! I've seen it myself, and not surprised at all if exchanges (who might be called financial instruments) had the exact same. Last few major bank fines were several hundred million euros, but if you're making profits to the tune of billions, and only paying a portion of it for fines, your board's giving you a slap on the back.

I thought Italy were very impressive last night, I think they are definitely the best team remaining. Two good games today but I just can’t see past Italy now.
Hope they take it home, yeah. All kinds of dumb question marks over them but they took the Belgium test and passed with flying colours. Please don't hedge it with England handicap if first game gets over 1.5 goals and it should. I have a nice bet riding on that promo "all 4 games over 1.5" and from the beginning I expected first 3 games to pass and then England to ruin it with 1:0. That is like locking it in with the gods of gambling ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Thank me for not hedging, because they definitely wouldn't be 4 goals up if I did haha. I actually put England at min 3 goals in all their group games, and now that I've given up, they find a way to open the floodgates. Shevchenko will have nightmares for a long time after this.

So Kane found his scoring touch early on, two early goals in two games, probably headed for another win England to complete the favourite fest so far at QFs. Anyone want a longshot Ukraine comeback and win in RT? 20/1 if you like them odds;) One thing i noticed that the crowd has come less in numbers today. I wonder why ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Saw a headline or something about about complaining about crowds at the games, can't find it now but there was definitely some blame on crowds or overcrowding. Maybe that.

We need to break the 80k level before we conclude such things, but I also believe that we will go that far since the confidence towards reaching that is pretty amazing and I also believe the whales will help to maximize tge economy of bitcoin. Hopefully there's a big news will come in future to start the hype since for sure we can see some amazibg movement again if we can see big hypes came.
Whoa, 80k already when we're kinda struggling to break 36k? Though you may have a point in the end. Have mentioned elsewhere that when (if) we do get the breakthrough we've been waiting for, and if that happens above 40k, we might just be skipping some important milestones at 50k perhaps? And if we do smash through 65k, yeah, 70k will be a minor footnote before facing 80. Still holding out hope for 100k Christmas, and apparently, I'm not alone. Let's see.

Don't know about you guys, since I don't really visit the threads here so much, but gotta say the past page or so has been highly entertaining. Great effort, but not necessarily what duderino could be looking for haha.
P.S. Rainbow chart! It's second time I've seen it but you do know a rainbow ends back down at the other end, right Loyce? =p What is the firesale period of the 6 Dec 2021 on this chart and when approx? I'd love to for the first time to have cash on hand for firesale;)

So yesterday's specials all busted -- I avoided the Ferran Torres 4/1 but lost from the Spain/Italy 5/1 and both matches ET 13/1.
@Trofo I saw your post in SB thread haha and I've got a bet on it too (alerted by your original notification). The over 1.5 goals in each game is still alive, and I'm actually pretty confident we'll get at least 2 in Denmark/Czech game, but it's the England one that's always tricky. Very goal shy, so am hoping Southgate relents and gives his team the creativity they need from Mr Peaky Blinders.
I totally am not learning my lesson today though: OT in both games at 15/1;) Who else took it?

Reminds me of 2019 posts when there was a lot of "price follows hashrate" trends and I always thought there was a somewhat logical tinge to that -- the higher the difficulty, the higher the hashrate, the more secure the network. But I believe even at this 20+% drop, the network isn't practically less secure, is it? So price probably does follow hashrate, but only up to an effective point (a point that's unknown to me).
Blockchair's current estimate is +23% on next adjustment.

I wouldn't be shocked if they actually did that lol. However when it comes down to me and my money, I am going to bet on England and it is going to be a very easy bet, why would I risk my bet on "what could be a shock to world" once again? I understand that we had them already in this tournament but we are not going to see underdogs keep on beating the favorites time and time again, that is not going to happen.
I am going to bet on Spain as well which is a closer game than this one, and going to bet on Italy which is even closer. I have no idea about Czech vs Denmark game, that is a bit of a shock. However I do not agree with people who saw some underdogs beat the bigger teams and then started to keep on betting at underdogs, that is how you lose more money in betting, just focus on favorites and you will end up with recovering those losses.
Me and my money have quite a strange relationship. The longer I want to keep it, the quicker it wants to leave me. Which is why today I will again go against England (so that they will definitely go through). Ukraine are almost 10/1 to win with a boost, but I'm expecting a super boost on this game later, so might hedge it with England handicap? Spain and Italy already killed two specials, but they've progressed as expected. Only real query for me is Denmark/Czech! But back the Schick indeed.

It seems to me that Binance is under fire and I don't think that it's going to be any good for any cryptocurrencies listed on the platform because people will try their best to evacuate out of the platform because they don't know what's going to be happening to this lawsuits against Binance and the likeliness of shutting down is high.
They'll probably find ways to weather this out, and even in worst-case scenario, those listed coins should have nothing to worry about. If Binance has to stop operating in all these countries, then they'll just usher everyone onto their BSC platforms and get everyone to go trade on Pancakeswap or whatever. I don't know, maybe that's what they wanted to do all along with BNB and BSC. Shutting down? Nah, it's a long time away. They'll find somewhere, or pay enough fines.
