Occasionally the Humble Bundle (
https://www.humblebundle.com/weekly) will have DRM free games for Linux. The last game I played was Defcon. The only winning move is to play against me. I have never won.
I played Defcon a couple of years ago. The concept is pretty interesting (worldwide nuclear war), but the gameplay is quite boring. All you do is wait for the big missiles to launch :-)
Command & Conquer
Garry's mod
Too very awesome games. Depends on my mood. I like to play strategy games and War games.
C&C is one of the only RTS games I enjoy, along with Age of Empires.
I have Garry's Mod, but I don't really see the point of it. It's more like a tool for manipulating 3D models than a game (unless you count mods like Trouble in Terrorist Town).
- Minecraft
- AssaultCube
- And Yet it Moves at the moment, but it should be done in a week.
Minecraft is a 'classic', I think people will still be playing it 20 years from now :-)
AssaultCube looks like a crappy CS clone. And Yet It Moves doesn't look really fun either, although I haven't tried either game.
Has anyone here tried
Broforce? It's going to be released on Steam soon, and the prototype is quite fun with 2 player local multiplayer. I can't wait for the full version of the game to come out.
