Sell off has started. Not even sure when to buy back in.

Looks like 18 might be a good place to start. But the drift down may last a few days before the market gets the energy up again for another pump so I wouldn't panic.

(Then again.......  Huh )
7262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cinni | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: May 07, 2014, 04:40:56 PM
Right.

I'm all out of CINNI. Let the selling commence.

Wow - great write up. Very positive !

45 BTC of buys just went in at 19-20 on Mintpal.
7265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cinni | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: May 07, 2014, 12:50:11 PM
Jeeez. There was a 10 BTC sell wall on Mintpal a few seconds ago. I thought we'd be bouncing off it for a few hours.

It just got pulled and now everything's taken off. 22 already.
7266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cinni | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: May 07, 2014, 12:29:24 PM
Or like utclover

The reason I don't have much sympathy for him is that he still has plenty of options.

The exact same thing happened to me - I woke up one morning and saw the price had gone to 6800 and immediately dumped half my holdings thinking that that was the end of this coin. Then within 3 hours it was back at 9000, then later went to 11.

In that situation, decisive action is required, not the posting of panicked trolling messages. You just take a decision about the long term nature of the price trend and if it's positive wait for the next drop. It WILL happen - prices NEVER move in a straight line. When it drops back you just buy in again, take the loss but then take a gain later on.

On the other hand, if you decided it's not a long term rise then be happy that you dumped at the right time.

Easy. Thats how all this works and we've all been there on the wrong side of a price trend.

the dev will never come back  Wink

Everyone remember not to dump your CINNI (at least not publicly) or you might end up like this...

7268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cinni | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: May 07, 2014, 11:57:44 AM
btw dev will make another scamcoin soon...he left this one and dumped his coins.

It's good that utclover is posting these trolling messages because it shows that the coin is in heavy demand (in particular by utclover who's currently in a state of manic desperation trying to get the price back down).

Even if CINNI gets to 30,000 sats it would still only be a quarter to a fifth of the Blackoin price corrected for coin supply, so utclover should just buy back in now since it's got plenty of upside to go.

Hi Drama over on Blackcoin thread.

Better than Dallas.
7270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cinni | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: May 06, 2014, 11:01:59 PM
when it gets close to 0.00017 sell it and and buy back at 0.00012
easy 40% profit  Wink

It might not go back to twelve, and even if it does, there's not much of a spread between there where it is now. If you've got any significant amount and the price is *exactly* at twelve, you'll have to push the price back to get back in.

On the other hand, if there's enough liquidity to get out at 16 and it goes back to 9 then you might get back in again by 12.

explaine little about BC drama.. Smiley

Their coin isn't going up in price and the Blackcoin people aren't being quite as co-operative with each other as they were when it was on the way "to the moon".

In fact  the words "hornets" and "nest" spring to mind.

I think it was triggered by disagreements over the merit of the now infamous "pump" to 90,000 Satoshis. (See this spike on April 13th/14th) http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/v2/pair/bc/btc/bter/3-months  )

I myself was holding Blackcoin that day and watched it go to 90. I held. Then I came back 2 hours later and it had collapsed to 20, never to return again (since then at least). Luckily I've had enough of these "kick myself" experiences now to laugh it off after an initial half hour of "ouch" But obviously that kind of massive pump and dump in such a short space of time causes some major toy throwing out of prams for many.

Some think it was an engineered pump that has done irreparable damage to the coin. Others are telling them to shut up and "deal with it' and "that's crypto" and stuff like that.

One of the reasons I like CINNI is that I don't feel like I'm in the mooneys or something. The BC thread was positively cult-like during the rise with everyone thinking it was the next Bitconi etc as all coin followers do. It may still do well, but so may a whole lot of others. At least this thread feels a bit more sedate while still constructive. The price development has also been healthy. It went to 19 then dropped back to above the previous low. Now it's on another push but not a manic coin-destroying pump like BC did.

That's all good stuff and should be maintained.

Lets get our coins off the exchanges and into wallets to get the network moving as it looks like there might be a good bit of traffic in this coin to come.

************ Question *************

As I watch my wallet (running in the background while I'm doing other stuff) I've noticed interesting behaviour regarding the 'staking' activity which leaves me quite curious.

Occasionally (2 or 3 times a day) a chunk of balance will move from the "Balance" to "Stake". (i.e. the "Balance" amount will reduce by a certain value and the "Stake" amount will increase by the same value).

Later, (or if I restart the wallet) the stake drops back to zero and the full balance is restored but I have now received a pile of coins in a transaction which is at the top of the transaction list.

What's going on when this happens ? Is it that part of the wallet balance clocks up another day in age and the wallet moves that into a "staking area" while it claims the interest on it or something ?

Any tips appreciated. (Looks good anyway and quite clever Smiley  )
7273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are at the Moment the Best 5 Coins? on: May 06, 2014, 07:15:49 PM
NXT is great concept, but distribution model was flawed too much to ignore...but market seems to be slowly reaching same conclusion

Not as flawed as this appraisal. What a load of nonsense.

this is one of the best coins I've seen, need more exchanges!

Well, we've got less at the moment - Allcrypt's just gone down  Huh

EDIT: It's back  Wink

Price is up 50% in the last 2 hours.  Now 3 sats from 2 Smiley

I gotta say, that one on the left is outstanding! Definitely have my vote so far, would look good scaled down as well for icons.

I ditched the "commiecoin" version and replaced it with a new variation that has the coin rim added.

b.t.w. see360's coin is looking much better without the black IMO. Whoever's idea the dev picks I suggest see360 do the final production work anyway since he looks like a pro and I'm definitely not Smiley

I contacted JP Buntinx of Cryptoarticles and politely suggested he take a look at the coin. Lets see if anything comes of it.

One of the incentives for people to 'get in early' is the high staking interest early on. It will drop to 1 tenth at some point in the future. I think that's a great feature.

it seems you either are on the wrong blockchain or way out of sync'd
Cold war has been over for about 30years..

Yeah LoL Smiley I designed 'commiecoin' by mistake.

Sorry 'bout that.

Maybe its been explained before, but could someone recap how to setup the jackpotcoin wallet and gain POS?

If you're using QT:

[1] - open the wallet
[2] - encrypt it (Settings --> Encrypt Wallet)
[3] - quit
[4] - restart
[5] - note your wallet address

Staking:

[6] - transfer coins to wallet
[7] - you should see a message in the bottom left hand corner saying "Minting suspended due to locked wallet"
[8] - click the "Unlock Wallet" button and type your password - the message should go away
[9] - wait 24 hours with your wallet open and don't let your energy saver put the machine to sleep
[10] - just continue leaving your wallet open and at the end of the second day check to see if you have anything in your transaction history with a couple of hammers (mining icon). That says that those coins were mined as opposed to 'transferred' into the wallet

So basically, it's just a case of leaving your wallet open all the time and UNLOCKED. Remember to unlock your wallet whenever you launch it, otherwise it won't be able to stake. I always forget that bit.

man... i hate the communists with their red stars! ... only sickle and hammer missing

LoL. "commiecoin". Thats an idea.

Of course distribution would have to be tightly controlled and no trading allowed  Wink
