Why are people still looking into the game files? We solved that one.
7282  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: July 03, 2014, 09:39:47 AM
Payments have been sent in the genesis-mining program, but it seems the sig program will be ended after paying everyone.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=631729.msg7599758#msg7599758
This was a great campaign month! As of now, we do not continue the signature campaign.
All payments for successfull signatures will be done, but no new paid month started.
Thanks for telling me, updating OP now.

EDIT: Done.

I am off as well. This puzzle is getting way to hard for my brain to handle.
Goodnight everyone!
7284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ARG Puzzle with 3.5 BTC Private Key Prize on: July 02, 2014, 10:25:26 PM
Probably nothing, but: the archive name is 'Again', 2 july 1980 (the timestamp of the files) was a wednesday and 2 july 2014 is a wednesday.
Maybe we need to find recurring patterns in order to solve this part? That would be my guess based on the file name and your post.

I can't check the address on Blockchain.info: "Got temporary error 1218 'Send Buffers overloaded in NDB kernel' from NDBCLUSTER"
Can anyone try?
Use Blockr.io: http://blockr.io/address/info/1HXUobwcB19cGDrghuh42HDdJdJvrJUEra

Hasn't 2.7z already being opened?

I have a feeling the phrase "Satoshi was here" which was embedded in the game has some significance. The sha256(sha256("Satoshi was here")) == 464b32e761b63b97c5cb2404ed26ac3e05f538471aabbc99564d09d96b130da0
Yeah, that has been solved. That summary isn't up-to-date. I have updated a bit. I hope you don't mind mirth.

bitcoininformation's roundup #1:

Clues:
- Always apply Bitcoin protocol - "Bitcoin hash is the hash of the hash, so two SHA256 rounds are needed"
- "Never underestimate the determination of a kid who is time-rich and cash-poor."
- 2147129 (from Number.txt)
- 8081-VA015 ODYSSEY (characters in the video from Space.mp4, also the album title this video is from)
- Jul  2, 1980  00:02:18, unix timestamp: 331369338 (timestamp of again files - thanks Prospero)
- Space.mp4 itself

Possible next steps:
- construct an IP/onion/web address
- get the private key out of one of the files
- extract something magical out of Space.mp4

Extra Information:
- 2.7z contained a game which had some sound files that weren't used in the game itself. One of them (or all of them) contained a QR code to the "Again.7z" page.

We need to get what's behind the "Again.7z" file. Has anyone made progress with that?
7288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ARG Puzzle with 3.5 BTC Private Key Prize on: July 02, 2014, 07:38:07 PM
The game part has been solved already. There was a QR code in (one of) the audio files which brings us back to the "Again.7z" file.
7289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ARG Puzzle with 3.5 BTC Private Key Prize on: July 02, 2014, 07:26:10 PM
That is not the point.

We were forced to play MC (I didn't) in order to continue an ARG?
Seriously?
Come on dude. Get over it. Yes it sucked, but other people solved it for you and now we all can continue. That is how this puzzle has been going since the beginning. Someone solves it, then someone else solves it, etc.

Well, I played the game for a little, but damn, that shit is weird. I totally lost my DOS text based gaming skills.

Can not understand is it worked on Windows 7 VirtualBox?

That is the game, hahaha. I really have no idea how to play it.

What is it about?
No idea man. I just know that it's one of those old text based games. The name of the game is Dungeons of Daggorath

Are you fucking kidding me. Even more hidden stuff? God, OP.
7297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ARG Puzzle with 3.5 BTC Private Key Prize * on: July 02, 2014, 06:41:44 PM
I just started the game (in a safe environment) and it seems to be some kind of text based game. Couldn't figure out how to get started though.
7298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ARG Puzzle with 3.5 BTC Private Key Prize * on: July 02, 2014, 06:38:58 PM
I just scanned the game and it's clean (Virustotal confirms this). I just don't know what the fuck we need to do with it. Is it the end? Are there more hints in the game? In the game files?

Another hint! OP is being generous (or has mercy) with us.
that hint has disappeared
On purpose I suppose, no idea why OP would remove a hint though. Anyway, that hint was really posted. I'm not trying to fuck with you guys.

With this hint my answer was not even close.
Ah man, that sucks to hear. What did you have in mind then? It might help, it might be useless. You never know.
